The vibes are super desi! I love their beef nihari, chicken and beef bihari kebab it's cooked really well and the staff is always on point. Amazing food! True Pakistani BBQ! We had the chicken tikka, beef Bihari Kabab, and beef nihari. Chicken tikka: perfectly cooked and spicy! Truly worth the price and taste. Bihari: really good! Tried the place as we have heard so much rave from people but i must say i left feeling a bit disappointed ... the place literally gives you feel of a home ( and not in a good way!) we ordred chicken tikka: chest piece and a double order of bihari kabab (which were suppose to be their speciality) chicken burger combo and naan. there was only little bit of salad (mostly lettuce) and yogurt with bihari kabab or tikka . the price for that quantity was way too much ... $10 for the chest piece !!! I will miss this place for their Behari kababs, chicken tikka ( on a good day) and Chana daal!! Also the weekend halwa puri! The owners have sold this place to a new party and are moving to Toronto!! I am just so sad! My go to place for kabab is gone! read more

Our experience was terrible, unfortunately. The menu consisted of a total of 5 mains, 2 of which were vegetarian. There was only one BBQ item, and no dessert. We were charged $25 per head for that measly meal. We may have given the owner the benefit of the doubt, but there was no waiter or staff member assigned to clear the plates from the tables, water was not served to any of our guests and when we asked for service we were told that the staff was too busy to take care of us. We were paying for a service, not eating food for free. With the amount of money being charged, the owner does not have the right to behave as if the customers are being done a favour, not the other way around. The management at Village has a huge attitude problem, and I know that we will not patronize Village BBQ again. We had been planning a birthday party for 125 guests at Village. After this experience, we will be taking our business elsewhere. read more

5 Stars for Pakistani BBQ This place has the best available Pakistani Tikka (aka Chicken quarter), Bihari kebab and Malai boti. I have eaten these three things multiple times and was never disappointed. I also tried their Chicken Karahi once but didn't find that worth the price tag. I came here for the 4 item $6.99 lunch buffet (that includes channa, aloo subji, orange coloured halva and bhatura) only to be disappointed the items had no flavour the channa masala tasted the same as the potato subji those are the only curry dishes on the buffet. The server brought out the "fresh" bhatura which was so big and dripping with oil. It was way too crispy and way too carboard like and oily for me. So I grabbed some napkins and wiped the 1000 calories of oil off of it before l ate it. I have had much better channa bhatura at Kwantlen pizza and Dhaliwal Sweets on Fraser at least there it's not drenched in oil. Also I found the bhatura wasn't like what l am used eating the taste was very different the taste was similar to that of a pani puri or the outside if a samosa. The food is suppose to be Lahori style from Pakistan. I was so full after eating 2 bhaturas l only tried a little bit of the halva which was the only thing with flavour here. It wasn't overly sweet either. If you want a bowl of Queema or a cup of tea it's a $1.99 extra. The server was nice and made conversation with me as I was the only customer in the restuarant at 12:30pm on a Saturday. So I got her full attention and when I was ready to order another "fresh" bhatura she would go and tell the kitchen person. I won't ever be coming back here again because the bhatura was not what l am used to and the curries lacked masala flavours. read more

We decided to take a go at this place because it was very close to where I was located at the time and anything with BBQ sounds amazing. When we went in there was group of 8 with kids which were a little rambunctious so we decided to do some takeout. They said it would be a 20 minute wait for naan and 2 plates which was perfectly fine for me. It was a very small place that had around 5 small tables, so there really wasn't even space for us to sit because of the other big group. I tried the Chicken Tikka which was very tasty and spiced really well but was not worth the price of $9 for only leg and thigh and a small salad with no rice. My partner had a go at the chicken kebabs which were over battered. I personally would not go back because I think I can find better with for the same price but if you love a good chicken tikka definitely try this place out! read more

We went to the village barbeque today , it was such a bad experience. They had set up a stall at Holland park Surrey. We ordered malai chicken. The chicken was OK but their staff was horrible. She didn't give us fork and she said she had none then we asked for tissue then she said she has limited and gave us 1 . I would not recommend this to anybody. read more

I've had a chance to try the Chicken Tikka and Malai Chicken to update my review. WOW the Chicken Tikka is awesome made to order so it's super fresh. The chicken is skinless and some bones are removed and the chicken is cut up to flatten it out so it cooks evenly. Very good spice really good. The place is quite busy so I'm surprised there isn't more reviews and they seem to have a very active Facebook page with many good comments, I think this restaurant will be popular for a long time. I stopped by to say hi to the new restaurant since I love bbq and wanted to see what's up. There is seating for maybe 10 so might be more geared for take out and delivery . The menu was posted and I took a photo and uploaded it. The people there couldn't have been nicer even offering to cook me some samples of there BBQ they looked very busy so I didn't want to trouble them since they open next week. Being friendly is so important a very good sign. The menu looks very plain but I'll try them next week to see what magic they put in their food. read more

I didn't know what to expect coming in but this place is actually pretty great. It's got a cozy atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. The food was very reasonably priced and delicious, but a little on the spicy side, even for the milder dishes. I didn't mind that at all but the kids weren't thrilled about it. Also, I've never had a zucchini in my life that wasn't bland until today. Any place that can make me want more zucchini is alright with me. I'll definitely be back and I'd strongly recommend this place for anyone who wants to try something a little different and doesn't mind food with a little kick to it. read more
