As my wife can attest to, I had been wanting to eat at The Vault for well over 3 years, so when we found ourselves in Tulsa for a Saturday night show, I told her that we had to go. We stopped by for lunch and seated ourselves at the bar. We were greeted by a very cheery bartender and asked what we wanted. I opted for a one of their specialty cocktails, "Menace to Society." I don't usually get cocktails, but this one was very tasty. It had just the right amount of honey and the drink overall wasn't too boozy. As for the food, we decided to split their chicken salad sandwich. It was just the right size portion for both us. The sandwich was constructed beautifully... just the right amount of fruit and meat. The chips that came with the sandwich were also really good. The Vault lived up to the 3+ years of hype that I had given it. I highly recommend it to everybody that finds themselves in Tulsa! read more

Canceled a party of 14 at the last minute. Only found the day of reservation. Blamed it on a new hostess that over booked....not ok!

Great, friendly staff, cool ambiance and AMAZING food. We were just visiting Tulsa to possibly move there and restaurants like this made it easy to love the city. Definitely hope to be back soon! read more

The food here is fine. Nothing spectacular, but also not bad. The service on the other hand is pretty baffling and horrendous. We had lunch here on a Monday, and there were a handful of other patrons, but plenty of open tables. I loved the decor, awesome spiral staircase, comic-book style art, and very clean. We ordered drinks, and waited...and waited... and waited, longer than 30 minutes to get 2 cocktails!?! After about 10 minutes, and with no bartender in view, we flagged our server to see what was going on. He assured us that someone was working on the drinks. A few minutes later a bartender appeared, but she was very lackadaisical and unprofessional. She made her rounds, chatting with a few guests who were sitting at the bar, apparently oblivious to the fact that she had drinks on queue. There was a group next to us, who were seated after us and had their entrees served before we received our drinks. This is totally offensive service. After 30 minutes our server arrived apologetically with the drinks, he was obviously aware of the mishap, but made no further gesture to correct the situation. Our food arrived moments later, and was probably sitting under heat lamps in order to not awkwardly arrive before our two drinks. Unreal experience! read more

I have only been for brunch but the brunch is really good. The french toast 3 ways is my fave! They have vegan options on the diner menu that I hope to try soon! read more

Cute mid-century restaurant in an old bank. Their menu is classic 50s&60s food elevated and modernized. I had the grilled cheese with tomato soup, and they were accommodating to my request to leave the apple off my sandwich. The drink menu looked awesome but I was alone and I prefer drinking not-alone :) I only have a couple small complaints. Parking is super weird because all the nearby lots are permit-only. I drove around the block a couple times and found some metered parking across the street. When I arrived there were only 2 other people there, sitting at the bar (I got the idea that they worked there but we're off the clock). I'm sure this place has a better vibe on the weekends when there are more people (I went on a Monday night). I would love to go back with friends on a more social evening! read more

We went for brunch on Sunday, a total of 8 people, with a reservation. On the positive side, our server was alright (he was clearly serving too many tables, and was doing his best), and for the most part, the food was good. I had the breakfast burger, and it was excellent. It looked to me that the "steak and taters" had really overcooked steak. My husband had the cuban, and he said it was awful. All that being said, the food was beyond slow. It was well over an hour before our food finally made it to our table, and while it wasn't cold, it definitely wasn't hot. We had a reservation and still waited over an hour for food! Unacceptable. They had a great little combo band, sounded great, playing lovely music- but they are way too loud for that room. I don't think we will be back. read more

First time visiting the Vault...went with a group of friends for cocktails and dinner. Good cocktails, but entree issues, my steak was raw, sent it back, didn't really come back any better. By the time they offer to make me a new steak, everyone else was done with dinner...at least the scalloped potatoes were decent, as it was basically my dinner. Chef should have known there was no way that steak was going from raw to medium... Probably should have comp'd my drink too, not sure I'll try it again. read more

The food was pretty good and even on a busy Sunday the wait wasn't awful. I would recommend a reservation if you can plan ahead. We had a group of 7 so naturally our options for seating are limited but we were still able to get a table outside quickly. There were plenty of options for all including kids. The staff was friendly and attentive. read more

The Vault has been a regular for me since my short stay in Tulsa, and it never disappoints. $7 lunch meals that are tasty, filling and inexpensive. The restaurant is an old bank, with retro decor and imcredibly cool decorations and overall vibes. The staff is efficient and friendly and it's usually a quiet spot, nice for small business meetings or a place to eat lunch and relax for a while after. There is prking next to the restaurant. It deserves the 5 stars. I definitely recommend coming here for lunch. read more

This is seriously the BEST place in Tulsa to get brunch! Especially if you're vegan/vegetarian like myself! It's also a wonderful place to bring friends as the atmosphere is incredible and the staff are the best! Highly recommended! read more

Amazing space! We enjoyed the live music and the bar. Would definitely go back to try the rest of the menu.

Surprising find! We needed a place to have a few drinks and dinner before the Bonnie Raitt and James Taylor concert and it sounded like the perfect location. Our server was quick to make recommendations and we asked questions about particular dishes. He seemed pretty knowledgeable and though he didn't exactly get everything right about the menu, the four of us were pleased with the drinks, appetizer and meals. The servings were quite generous; only one of us was able to completely finish the whole portion served. And the price was quite reasonable. We will go back next time we are in Tulsa! read more

Very disappointed in the cleanliness of the kitchen. Observed a female employee cooking. She was also using her bare hands to make someone's sandwich after handling what appeared to be a filthy rag and skillet handle. Saw her use her fingers to grab seasoning out if a bowl to sprinkle over food. Yuck read more

If I could give this place a negative star I would. Im so mad at the SERVICE or lack there of...... I'm writing this as I leave...I never write reviews but i cant sit quite on this. We celebrated my little sister 30th birthday tonight. The waiters were so slow we ordered at 8:15 and didnt get our food until 9:15. One waiter came back smelling just like WEED. HE WAS SO STRONG. MY SOUP WAS RUNNY. Something was wrong with almost everyone food and he had the nerve to be mad. We brought a cake and cupcakes to be brought out after our dinner. Cupcakes could not be found and no one could provide us with an explanation on where they were. Myyyyyyy guess is their stone heads ate them. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT BACK IN THAT PLACE. Poor SERVICE ALERT Especially if your black.. DON'T WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THIS PLACE. read more

Everything always tastes amazing at The Vault; pretty much my favorite Tulsa restaurant. The Sopes were super flavorful and the pineapple and ginger hit your mouth like a juicy delicious ton of bricks (in a good way!) Service was great too, our waiter was friendly and super nice! read more

I live downtown so this use to be a somewhat go to spot but the owner, food portions, and service just really did it for me. I went there often but it took 1hr to get my food, it was over cooked with a kid sized portion and then they towed my car the same day... the owner is just truly hateful and I'm just not supporting business like this. Waitresses seem to be okay probably isn't entirely their fault. Also saw here on yelp she owns Elote too and as a Hispanic.......... Terrible food, microwaved and just awful not to be discouraging. If I knew they were the same owner I wouldn't have even tried The Vault to begin with.. Never again! A better spot for breakfast is Dilly Dinner, Atlas Grill, or Chimera for sure. read more

I came in for lunch today and there was no one at the hostess station so I walked in and sat at the bar. I asked if they were participating in the Dining Out for Life event an no one seemed to know (although I found this restaurant from the DOFL website). I had to ask for a glass of water and then a second time for a slice of lemon and I also had to ask twice for a straw. On the positive my food came out quickly, was the perfect temperature, perfect portion and absolutely delicious!!!! The food totally made up for any negative!! read more

Food was great (bacon the best ever). We had BLT all around three adults loved them. The child's silver dollar pancakes are good with lots of fresh fruit. A single scrambled egg was an extra large serving. Coffee was great. read more

The food was okay and so were the drinks but the service was awful. Took forever to get anything we ordered.

Absolute trash.. the service was insanely bad and the food is mediocre at best. 10/10 do NOT recommend. Haven't had a worse dinner downtown than this one. read more

I came in during posted business hours, but was turned away because they felt like closing early. What a disappointment.

Food was either bland or really salty. Server was terrible. And the bartender took 30-40 minutes to get a drink. Thought this would be a fun place to celebrate my birthday but it definitely killed the mood. They also had all of our tickets wrong and charged us for stuff we never got. Don't waste your time. read more

Who cares about the seating situation when the food and service is this good. Exceptional, in fact. That's all you need to know. Every single thing I tasted was absolutely amazing - I actually ate too much but I just couldn't quit. It's that good. My server was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Omg. I came into town from Fort Worth and tried this place out because it was close to my hotel. I loved it! 1) the server- Doren- was ah maz ing! Never left for too long, always made sure our drinks were fresh! 2) the food- holy $&@@! I got the salmon and it was FANTASTIC!!!! We also had the buffalo cauliflower which was incredible! Also the Cobb salad- wow! 3) super cool that it used to be a bank (hence the name) back in the 1950's!! This is my new favorite place (I'll be back every time I come to town) and I hope I get Doren every single time! read more

Tried this spot on a whim. Didn't even know it was here, though I've lived here for several years. Very cool atmosphere. It's In the lobby of an old mid-century bank. Chill music on the PA, good decor (minus the carpet), and friendly staff. I got the burger, which was actually cooked good as requested, a litmus test for me as far as the kitchen' s competence goes. the wife got the steak, which was also well executed. Be sure to try the potato wedges. Pillowy interior and lightly crisped exterior. 10/10. I'll be back. read more

I have not had breakfast or brunch at The Vault but do understand that it is good and worth the trip. I did have dinner there recently with some friends and it was not worth the trip. My food was cold when it was served and the same complaint was made by my dinner companions. The cocktails were OK but the glasses were mostly filled with ice to reduce the amount of the liquor needed to fill the glass. The Vault definitely needs to up their game to attract me again. I might try the breakfast or brunch however, read more

Excellent food every time! Not too expensive and the service is consistent. My personal favorite is that the waiters/waitresses seem to actually understand the menu and can give knowledgeable suggestions. Will be back for another date night! read more

Food was crap. Service was crap. Manager didn't take care of anything. Don't come here.

I was visiting with family in the area and decided to try out this restaurant for brunch due to the downtown location, menu, and Yelp rating. I now wish I would've read through the actual reviews as this would have helped me make a more informed decision about this restaurant. Atmosphere: This place has an interesting retro vibe to it with the architecture and decor. It was quite busy on a weekend when we arrived during the late morning hours. It is a bit noisy indoors. We mostly observed adults present at this time. We were seated on the outdoor patio upstairs along the wall, which offered a nice city view. There are umbrellas; however, one of ours was broken. As the sun moved, half of our party got very hot. It was about mid-80's outside at this point. We asked for extra seats so those in the sun could move to a shady spot around the table, and we were told by the server another person from the upstairs bar that they could not do this and that "The sun is the sun." There was another large table/party that had since left, and we still did not have our food yet. They would not move our party to that empty table with working umbrellas either. Food: Our party had mixed reviews on the food. I personally enjoyed my Farmer's Brunch until I found a hair in it. Thankfully, after informing the server, she offered to remedy this for us by providing another dish. At this point, we were not willing to wait any further for it. So she removed the dish from the final bill for us. Some members of the party enjoyed the avocado toast, 2 egg breakfast, and pancakes. Others found some issues with their dishes, including the biscuits and gravy (biscuits were hard), Cuban sandwich (meat was dry), classic benny (sauce unappetizing) and steak & taters (steak was hard/dry). Service: Our service started out poorly with one of the individuals who appeared to be working the bar area. He breezed through taking drink orders and a few were missed upon the first pass. Then he returned with a second server from the bar area to take our meal orders. We found it odd that two servers were needed to take our orders. After each individual stated their order, the woman repeated the order to the other person standing next to her who wrote it down. If he is in training, then maybe that makes sense. Otherwise, it seemed odd. We were not informed that this other server was in training. As one person took orders, she was very snarky. It can be hard to hear outdoors due to the city noise/wind/people's voices, so she should remember this! When one individual thought it was their turn to order because the two servers scooted over/turned her way, the server rudely stated that she wasn't done with the other person's order yet. She also chastised a member of our party for how he ordered. Basically, the servers from the bar area maintained poor customer service skills. These servers never returned to offer to refill coffees or waters. About halfway through our meal, we received service from another person who was much kinder and attentive. She refilled our coffees, asked if we needed more half and half, and took requests for condiments (eg, hot sauce). If more servers were like her, then this place might have more consistently positive reviews! Overall, the inconsistent customer service and food quality would prevent me from returning or recommending this restaurant to others. Poor customer service is poor customer service! read more
