Just came here to request print services, I asked the guy how I can print some files I have on my email and he said they can't print anything at the moment because their computer is down. I asked if he knew any other ups stores around that I can go to, he said he didn't know anything.... So he works at UPS but he knows anything? None of them were helpful there where two other guys there and nobody helped. I know I can go on my phone and check myself for other locations, but those guys work there either hate their job or they suck at what they do because their customer service sucks and there were not polite. I came in to drop off an Amazon return. I had packaged and labeled the UPS return. The front counter was rude and rejected to take the package in. I asked for a supervisor, who came out and was just as rude in rejecting to take the package without giving explanation. One of the other employees standing around said they would not take the package because if they themselves don't box it and label it they don't get paid for it and they don't want it taking up room in the store if they ain't making money on it. They told me to go elsewhere. I'm still in awe of how terrible the experience was. read more

I was expecting a dress from Rent the Runway and received a notice that it had been delivered to this location. When I went to pick up the package, they said "it's not here" and suggested checking back the next day. Two days later, I return to the same UPS location with my tracking number, and once again they tell me the package isn't there, and suggest calling the main UPS customer service number. I call the number and it says it's been delivered to that location. I check the website tracking to double check, and it confirmed it had been delivered three days prior. So I return to the store A THIRD TIME and beg them to please check again, that it's a dress from Rent the Runway. They check again and FINALLY FIND THE PACKAGE. I don't know if the staff is lazy, incompetent or just poorly trained, but I would not recommend this location to anyone, ever. For the record, the staff members were all very nice. I highly recommend training for all staff members at this location to better serve their customers. read more

This store continues to be an abject failure at customer service. The manager, Hanif/Hanis is the least helpful and ineffective manager out of all the UPS Stores I've dealt with and I currently have (3) boxes in the San Fernando Valley and Beverly Hills. His staff isn't trained well, they have no idea what actions to take if he's not there and something goes wrong. This micro-managing way of working doesn't work. I paid for a box for my friend on 10/12/2020; receipt ID #83712182619741883270, $125. I was still charged $125 despite EVERY UPS Store having a $50 off discount for new customers. She didn't get the key right away to the box because Hanif had to make one. It took over a week to the damn key from this man who apparently only works 10 mins a day. He had my $125 for a week though... Now that it's time to renew the box, his male staff member tells us that we have to wait for the Manager to return on Monday because the system won't let him renew the box and told us that the box was supposed to be renewed in Nov. I spoke with the manager, Hanif in December and volunteered to pay the $105 renewal/box fee in advance and he told me to just hold off until 01/15/21. This is the 2nd time this store has held up this box due to their errors and ineptitude and the answer is always, 'I can't do anything until my Manager comes back on Monday.' In his October response to this Yelp review, he stated there was a delay because my friend didn't bring in her ID. That's a lie. She did, just as he was walking out the door (in the middle of the afternoon) on a Friday for his weekend. She had to go back the following week because again, no one there can do a damn thing without him being there. Regarding the $50 off promotion, the website promotion (which I have a screenshot of) said NOTHING about the discount applying to 6-month box rentals. It stated, 'new box rental customers'. This manager should spend more time at HIS store working on customer service, COVID-19 compliance, and less time sitting at home reading these YELP reviews. read more

Should have gotten insurance on this. I needed to send a present from Japan to friends and specifically asked the package to have a fragile sticker on it. I paid for it and then asked once again that I'd like a fragile sticker on it. He dismissively said, "Yeah, yeah... I will later." I left. My friends just got the package and while they love it, they said the lid was chipped. I asked them if there was a fragile sticker on the box and they said nope. I'm not sure if this applies to all UPS stores, but if you charge egregious amounts on shipping, you should at least respect people's small requests on their packages. UPS is a franchise with individually run stores and management so not all UPS stores are the same and thus the different Yelp profiles with different reviews. I had a very bad experience at this one and I don't normally write negative reviews but in this case I had to. I went to ship a package to Canada to a family member who is American but stuck there because of covid. I went into this UPS store and told the guy helping me that it's a gift and the value is less than $10 as it's just sending her some or her own items so custom fees were unnecessary. I could tell he was new and I felt like he didn't understand me so I repeated myself three times and he said he got it. I said very clearly at the end "so this is marked as a gift for less than $10, right? I won't pay custom fees, right?". He said correct. Also the manager (?) was nearby and could hear and see us so I figured it would be fine. He also charged $235 for a 12 pound box to Canada and said this was the cheapest option and it would arrive Tuesday, Dec 8th. I felt this was high and I checked three times and he said it was the cheapest and I needed the package sent so I sent it. Maybe this was the cheapest option, but I doubt it. Tuesday comes around and I see that the package has delivery failed notice. I call UPS customer service and they tell me the package is marked as worth over $2000, not as a gift, and that I have $230 of custom fees to pay!!! I explained to them the whole situation but there was no way to fix it from UPS. I would have had to contact customs in Canada and go through a lot of back and forth and the package may get returned. I ended up just paying the custom fees as I needed it delivered! I will try to get a refund later. Now it's the 14th and the package still isn't delivered. I've contacted UPS every day and spent hours on the phone. They are still working out internal issues as the local UPS office/driver in Canada somehow didn't get the note that the custom fees are paid and are refusing to deliver the package. I'm in the middle of working this out, but I can only be handled with UPS corporate and not this franchise that I am currently writing the review on. All of this upset is caused as the guy didn't listen to me about how to send the package. I repeated myself clearly three times. Friday comes and my client let me know that the tracking was not updating, after coming back to this awful store and finding my package was STILL THERE, the employees had told me they had simply "forgotten" to turn my package in to the driver on Thursday as they were too "busy". Tried to get a refund or some partial payment and ups customer service told me no because I had not turned in my package before 3pm which is their cut off time. Mind you I had called before hand to ask what is their cut off time and the woman on the phone told me if I came before 4:30 "I should be good".This staff does not even know their own policies regarding cut off time and gave me misinformation which jeopardized my package getting to my client on time! The lady who picked up said $2.50 plus 25 cents per page but when I went to the store, the guy said its $2 per page and that they never it do it 25 cents each. When I said no to $2 per page, he said okay I can drop it to $1 per page. I still said no and walk out as FedEx only charged 54 cents. Then 3-4 hours later I called their store again to see what rate they will give and the lady who picked up said they charge $5 flat lol. I Just went to this store to drop off for my work. I got there and stood in line outside because the paperwork on the door says Maximum 2 customers allowed inside at a time. Inside were actually 4 customers (and 3 employees that I can see) and while I am standing there a woman walks in and cuts in front of us all because she claims she was already in line before and thus became the 5th customer inside. At this point I walked in as well and the manager Hanif came over right away ranting about there needs to only be 2 people in the store but then looks at the other 5 people and tells them they are ok but insists that I wait outside. I said I don't want to wait outside everyone else is inside and it is already over the limit but he made me go outside. Is he sexist? Or just doesn't know how to count??? I will be calling corporate office as soon as they open tomorrow to file a complaint about Hanif right before I contact my lawyer for being discriminated against! This place is good for getting or sending packages, but this is the 2nd time I order something online to be printed and then when I show up at the indicated time as stated in the confirmation email, they claim they never got my order ! I had to scramble to find the file after they told me they did not get it. I was very disappointed as I was expecting to find a 208 page workbook that I needed to write in ready to take home and use. It was obvious the kid working there did not know they even made that product and then they asked me to come in on the day the manager was there to ask for it. I explained to the kid I could not as I was working and that I could only make it on Tuesday. They made it seem like I had to come in at a certain time to get it made. I had to make sure to tell the kid to ask his manager to make it on the day he came in -so that I could have it by Tuesday. Really? Please train your employees and do not advertise a service if you do not really provide it . Now I am losing 4 days of this workbook that I had planned to use. If you do go in, come with your own files and call ahead to see if they even do the particular job you want. Don't waste your time on anything other than easy prints, sending and receiving packages. Not a good experience at all when I went to get a printout. Their copiers weren't working to print a PDF from my thumb drive. So because the attendant opened my one-page document on a computer to print my black/white page, I was going to be charged $2.50. When questioned, he dropped it down to $1. Thanks guy. Over the last couple of years, I gave this UPS store all of my business, whether it was to fax large documents or mail something out. They used to have good customer service, such as one time when I picked up a roll of tape and was told that I didn't have to buy it and that they would tape it up for me. I even liked talking with a couple of the employees and would joke with them every time I came in. A few months ago, after a brief stop of using their service, I had to ship a single pair of jeans out to Long Beach. The cost was so expensive that I even considered just driving the jeans over, but the manufacturer doesn't allow it. I hesitantly paid for the shipping. Fast forward to today, I had to drop off a package with a prepaid shipping label. I didn't have any tape at home and figured that this UPS store would tape it for me like they sometimes do. The clerk took one look at my box and stated that they charge $2 to put a single strip of tape on top of the box. She then gave me a look like she didn't want to take my box. I then asked how much their tape was on the shelves, and she said the smallest roll is $4.95 plus tax. Thus, I had the choice of keeping my package and leaving the store, paying $2 for a strip of tape, or buying merchandise from them at a price of $5.44 (with a sales tax of 9.9%, even though the sales tax around here is 9%). I will now avoid this location and try to find another one where customer service exists and the employees at least are friendly and want your service. read more

I've been coming here for a while and had put up with less than stellar service because the location was convenient. Today, August 13,2018 was the last straw and I won't be back. I called early in the day to ask about notary service. The first time the phone rang 10+ times and never picked up. I called again a few minutes later and got a young man answered and a brief, but specific conversation ensued: Me: Do you offer Notary service? Him: Yes we do. Me: Do I need to make an appointment, or are they there full time? Him: No, come in anytime. Me: What time do you close today? Him: 7:30 I had a document that needed to be signed by both my husband and myself, and notarized. It's a little difficult with our separate schedules to get to someplace like a notary together, on a weeknight. But we met there at 5:30. We walked in, the only customers in the place. Young man slowly emerges from the back, looks at us, dials his cellphone, and asks if he can help us while he puts his phone to his ear. WTF? "Notary service" I say. Guess what? "Oh, he's left for the day." Is the response. Not using any curse words at all, I explained that I had called earlier and was told that anytime would be fine to come in for Notary service. "Oh no, he normally leaves around 5." He said, derisively. And that was that. No apology, no trying to figure out the source of the bad information, nothing.
