I have had very good experience at this store before, but NOT this morning (around 10 am, on 2024/12/16). My trip to the store was just for a simple return of an Amazon item. I greeted the service lady when entering the store, and she just stared at me with no response. I put the small box on the counter, she then said " You have to put it on the scale".... She could not scan the Amazon return code into the system at first, complaining that I had folded the Amazon print-out, even though the the folding was not crossing the bar code on the paper at all...... After resetting the system, the scan was successful. I asked her what the problem had been on her first scan, her answer was " I don't care! " . She did not seem to like the job and serving the customers ...... read more

Chip on her shoulder. Where do I begin? The lady who was helping me was provided the delivery address and did not bother to check for correction stating that the system updated it this way. So basically my package, that I was paying for to be delivered next day (almost 60 bucks), was going to a different st address. and she was arguing with me that this is how UPS updated it, despite the fact that I said it was WRONG! She asked if there was a unit # I responded, no it is a hotel, she immediately got on the defensive and yelled at me, mind you the store was packed. I showed her my license so I would not have to say my address out loud, then, as a courtesy I asked if she got the address so I can put my license away, she proceeded to say my address out loud, a simple YES would have sufficed. Will try to find a different UPS store for future shipments. read more

I recently brought in two boxes to be shipped to Oklahom. They were both very heav. One was a little bit open because of trying to put it on the counte. The person at the counter asked me what was in the box and I said silver. When the boxes arrived in Oklahoma I got a call saying that some of the coins were missing. I'm afraid that someone in the UPS STORE took some of the coins but of course I have no way to prove i. These coins were worth thousands of dollar. I'm really disappointe. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. This place gives UPS a bad name. I stopped by today to drop off a package, and the tiny man working there had such an attitude problem that I literally took my package back out with me. Judging from the other reviews, it sounds like I'm not the only one that has had this experience. I was hoping he'd just woken up on the wrong side of the bed, but it seems he's just a sorry little man who is rotten to the core. Not only are the prices borderline extortion, but atrocious customer service as well? I look forward to seeing an empty store front where this UPS store once was, and a new, more worthy business taking it's place. It will be much better for the community. Do yourself a favor and drive to the next closest store, or use FedEx instead. This place deserves to go out of business ASAP. read more

I have been collecting my mail and using the mailing services at this location for over 5 years and have never experienced any negativity from any of the staff at this location. I cannot speak to any other services as I have never used them. As I read all the negative comments, I couldn't help but wonder if these individuals would write the same thing about the postal service or other mail service locations. Mailing a package is not a fast food type service. You cannot just come in, order number 2, and be on your way... especially if you want your package to arrive safely and accurately. Too often we are quick to write negative comments because of what we interpret as bad service causing others to prejudge their service before walking in the door. If you were not happy don't blast the staff with negative comments, offer a positive suggestion... read more

I agree with Melissa and Guy M., if you're just dropping something off, it's typically very fast and there's never really an issue. My only problem came when I delayed going in to work in order to drop off a box. 10 minutes after their opening time, the security gate was still down although I could see someone in there. I was clearly struggling with a large and unwieldy box, and the staff member proceeded to take their time to open all the displays before letting me in. It just rubbed me the wrong way on an already hectic morning. read more

My first experience in this store was so bad I called to find out what the deal was to get my package this time around, I was explaining what a terrible experience I had the last time and I was told she was the owner and continued talking over me completely careless that I had experienced such a difficult time on my prior visit and very rude when I was trying to avoid another double billing upon pick up unprofessional unpleasant person, she acted as if she was doing me a favor by being a customer. To agree with Melissa, if you have a shipment to make where the company has already taken care of all the forms, packaging, (Zappos, Rue La La, Ideeli, etc), go for it! If not, it's a pretty indifferent place. I mean, it's a UPS store, the browns and yellows don't exactly spark a fervor inside to just "ship the heck out of something"! I had the misfortune of dealing with quite possibly one of the rudest ladies in the service industry, and she was the manager/owner!!!! When I came in the store my mask had slipped off my nose as they so often do. Rather than saying "Excuse me sir, do you mind pulling your mask up? I had COVID and it kicked my butt." Or something along those lines, she proceeded to address me as if I were an animal/child. She issued a command, not a request with a please and thank you. I get asked this all the time and my response is sorry and I put it up. Not a big deal, just ask nicely. After this she was very rude about the fact she had to tape my box. She said "I don't get paid for the tape I use". Amazon clearly says to bring items to the store and they will take care of it. She gave another gentlemen with an Amazon a hard time as well. Overall a terrible experience and if I were a woman I might've slapped her because of how rude she was. I'd give this place 0 stars if I could. I'll never go here again. read more

This store was so incredibly helpful! Excellent customer service. We ran into a nightmare situation with Amazon and we're sent in circles trying to return 2 large bassinets. They went out of their way to help us. Even went as far to help us figure out how to disassemble the items so we would be able to fit them in their boxes and get them shipped. This place is now wonderful - if you'd avoided it after years of bad service you might want to give it another try. I can honestly say that with the (no longer so new) ownership/management it has become the best of the best. The people there now are friendly and helpful and ready to answer questions very patiently (I'm extra grateful for that!). They are also community-oriented with a collection box for the local food pantry right inside the door. A pleasure to work with! So glad for the change! read more

Worst UPS store ever encountered. I moved to the area and wanted to open a mailbox to transfer mail from my other Boston box locations. Staff are rude, unprofessional, and quoted ridiculous rates for packaging some items. I compare their services with Boston-based UPS stores and they are ridiculous! I would give this UPS Store in Stoneham a ZERO. This place is the worst! I went into the store today with a large desk that I needed to send back to the company. The package was wrapped and paid for already. As soon as I walked into the store (carrying the heavy box with a friend) the owner told us he could not take the package. The owner was on the phone with another customer and looked at us and said "we cannot take that package until Monday. Bring it to Lynnfield if you want to drop it today." The little man - franchise owner - is rude. The customer service was horrible. We ended up leaving (with the large heavy package in hand), reloading the package onto our pickup truck and driving to the facility in Lynnfield. Don't waste your time at this location in Stoneham. You'll leave disappointed as we did. If you need to use a UPS Store, I'd recommend traveling to North Reading. I've had a great customer service experience dealing with the North Reading franchise owner. However, the Stoneham store/franchise owner is a joke and he gives UPS a terrible reputation. Went in today to bring an envelope that was delivered to my house by accident. I told the man (who was doing nothing) about the situation and he told me to call the 800 number and they will deal with it. I said, I didn't have time to do that, as I was very busy and had already driven all the way to the store, and hoped he could help me out with the situation. He said, "Yeah, me neither," and threw the envelope on the floor. As I do not have time to call the 800 number to complain about the rudeness and poor customer service of this man, here is my review and I hope they see it. I was at this store Friday 3/9 to ship a few prepaid packages. They were small. I asked the man at the counter if he could tape them for me. A minutes work. He gave me the worst time. Refused to do it. Said he doesn't make any money. Told me to go buy my own tape amongst other rude and inappropriate comments. I should have read the reviews before going there today. I went there to ship packages as its a UPS store and the employee was so incredibly rude that I walked out with the packages. This is a return review. Over a period of a month, I had UPS Store make 2,000 copies for my missing cat. Jen, the manager along with the other staff were amazing to work with. Not only did they post my flyer, but I was able to get a very good rate on my color copies. The cat has been found and I will always use UPS Store for my copying needs; not only were they most helpful, excellent customer service, but the paper and copies were tops. read more
