Something weird about this store. They never seem happy to help. It's like you are bothering them. I had a QR code on my phone sent from Amazon. The girl at the counter scanned it and said it was invalid. She scanned it a few times and said it wasn't working. She then took my phone from me and tried editing it to make it show better?? I don't know. I was there for 30 minutes and she finally said she couldn't do anything. So I took it to the store in Stoneham and it worked fine. Most times they have their WIFI shut off but will tell you it's your phone. I never will go back there. read more

Do not use UPS if you want your packaged delivered. Multiple times they leave without attempting to deliver the package (not even attempting to ring a buzzer), and just send a 'sorry we missed you' email. Best case scenario they'll send it off to some pick up point miles away in a few days. This is a consistent problem, and everyone I talked to (customer service on the phone, workers at the pick up point) acknowledge that this is a problem customers face and don't do anything about it. Some will say 'oh just pre-sign on their website and give drop off instructions'. a) It is silly to have to do that and b) that doesn't always work either, for some reason some packages don't allow you to do that, meaning there is absolutely no way to actually receive the package. Besides sitting outside your place waiting for the delivery person, maybe? Anyway, use FedEx or USPS or DHL, just not UPS. read more

Literally the WORST customer service I've experienced at any UPS Store. H&M gives you the option to ship to UPS Stores as long as it's a purchase of $40+. I chose this location since it's right by my work place. I showed up to pick up the package and the guy there tried charging me $10 to pick up my delivery. When I questioned why he said it's because I used his facility to have my package shipped. I kept explaining that UPS is a partner store for delivery locations. He insisted no that was not true and that I'd have to pay $5 a package ($10 total) to get my packages. I had to call H&M to have it clarified, which even confused customer service as to why I was being charged to pick up my paid for items. 20min of back and forth and this guy finally handed my package. People who don't know about simple corporate procedures or lack common understanding should never be behind a counter representing a corporation like UPS. I was left so frustrated and bothered at his lack of customer service and competency. Such a disappointment. read more

The worst experience I have ever had at a shipping center. They have consistently lied to me, there where many times where I was supposed to hear from the manager when they didn't even tell her ( or so she claimed) I was even told by the employee at the desk that I the manager would not help me. Come to find out Tanha the current manager/ person in charge is the person who Made the initial mistake. As it says on my receipt. What happened was I sent a package but I had to go back and change a shipping method shortly after placing it and that worked out fine but they did not issue my refund and charged my for both. It was over $200 and it's been over 10 months now with no help but everyone is ready to pass me around but tell me I've been talking to the wrong person all along. Avoid the Medford UPS store. A long story made short - dropped off a package for overnight delivery on a Sun at 11:29 am. Paid $59.95 for the overnight service. The package did not arrive until Weds afternoon! I called the Medford store to complain. I spoke with Tayna Alam first, sweet but unable to help. Her father, Khasru Alam avoided speaking to me as long as possible, but finally did and said a claim would be filed (don't worry "dear"). When I called back to follow up, I was given a "GSR Claim #", and told to call the 1-800 #. Whatever the GSR Claim is, there was no record of it. The whole thing was bogus, no-one took responsibility, and my last conversation with the Medford store was disappointing, deceiving and dismissive. There is nothing I can do to get my money back, but I do want to share my experience of horrible service and run around at the Medford UPS. Better option is FedEx. read more

They have been repeatedly rude with horrible customer service. There was a little old man in there asking the girl working at the counter for help and she was completely dismissive of him. He had a box that he needed to get from his home that would not fit in his car. She told him to go to a different UPS! She did not even give him the number to call to have UPS pick it up at his home. AWFUL SERVICE! Since I forgot my "mask" I used my sweatshirt as a face covering. My mouth and nose were completely covered just like a mask. Khushi Singh would not provide me service because she did not approve of my face covering. She was incredibly rude. This is absolutely the worst experience and customer service I've ever received in a longgggg time!! When I arrived which is based on the hours on the door, the man that was supposed to be the cashier was outside smoking his cigarette. When he finally opened the store, he brought in all the cigarette smell with him. I've explained that I needed to print the label for a return, he could barely understand a word I was saying. Finally, he told me that I had to email which I did over and over from different devices and still no effort on his part. He was so condescending and unprofessional as I waited there for about 20-30 minutes for something that should have taken less than 5 minutes to do. Absolutely the worst! This branch has always made me crazy. #1. Mold- air quality is horrifying. Do employees are being exposed to toxic air conditions as are patrons. #2. Customer service is atrocious. #3. Horrible experience this morning. The person working behind counter was so rude when I asked him, after standing and waiting for 10 minutes (AFTER offering to wait bc precious customer was forced to wait for me ) if he would quickly scan my packages so I could go. He was awful! I give anyone who works at UPS the utmost respect and kindness bc its a hard and thankless job, BUT basic customer service is everything. This place lost any chance at getting any future business from me by charging me a truly ludicrous $1.50 a page to print a document I'd emailed to them--a "discount" from their standard $2 fee, I was told. This store picks and chooses its own hours. Anytime I have to go here it gives me indigestion. They also do not, under any circumstances, answer their phone. I've called them dozens of times just to see if they were open and nobody answers. I drive the extra 15min to the Somerville location because I'm in and out in under five seconds every single time AND they actually follow their posted hours. A shipment of wine was sent to this store from France in early August. The store never contacted me that it arrived and a week later the owner Kamal claims he returned it to France. My packages got shipped. That's a plus. The $35 I spent to send two stuffed animals to New Jersey and Pennsylvania from Massachusetts? Kind of pricey but I liked the insurance/tracking/peace of mind. The 40 minute wait I had while I was not helped or even acknowledged? Not really fun. To the store's defense, there was only one cashier on duty on the Saturday I was there, and the person she was helping was sending a tube. Yeah, that doesn't sound too crazy to me, either, but maybe sending a tube at the UPS Store is the equivalent of the logic games on the LSAT. I wish I could give this store 0 stars. I was always so pleased with the incredible service here for years. Polite, accommodating, wonderful service folks. They would try to find the cheapest way for you to ship and return packages. This past week I shipped a box to Zappo's which has free shipping. It should have been a quick process. But, watch out for "Sinniah' ; he is incredibly rude and will charge you for taping your box! I offered to do it myself and he was quite nasty about it,"This is NOT my job!"The cost was $1 to tape the top of my box closed. I will not be going back to this store. I saw all of the terrible reviews and had to take a moment to write my positive one. I was greeted respectfully and processed very promptly and had no problems at all in the store today. I had called before I went to make sure he could assist me and he was courteous and fast to answer the phone. He seemed to care about his appearance professionally and had a pleasant demeanor. He gave my two little girls lollipops as soon as they walked in the door. Needless to say he won their hearts immediately. Also, for what it's worth I want to respond to someone saying that they were appalled that they had to pay for tape. If you go to the US post office, tape is not free there either unless you are shipping with an expedited method. I always see people pissed off there about the tape thing too. Nothing is free. I don't want my service to be more expensive to help cover the cost of tape for other people. read more

I needed documents notarized. Google said the UPS store at 47 High St. Medford MA has a notary. I called their number first to make sure, and it immediately went to voice mail. I drove to Medford Square. Searched for a parking spot, and went into the store. A sign on the window said, "NOTARY". I waited for my turn and was told that they do not have a notary. read more

I found staff to be very friendly and helpful. I was copying documents for the attorney handing my brothers estate and left a personal ID there. They held it and were very helpful. I have heard so-so things about the UPS packing of items, but I have not used that service. Faxing/copying rates are market rate, so no complaints there. I personally have FedEx account, as the nearest UPS shipping point was way over in Somerville, with awful wait times, so it's nice to have a local store. read more

Just called them today to find out the price to get a simple 100 page document scanned into a digital PDF format. I told them it was text only, single sided and in great shape. I told them it was about 100 pages. The aggrieved man-child who answered the phone quoted me $1.13 a page. I told him that had to be wrong because two other nearby shops had quoted me 10-15 cents per page. I asked to speak to the manager and he hung up on me. Nice. read more

Questionable up-selling. For the past 10 years I have used UPS to send work related materials. I did it so much and working with UPS was so convenient that I really didn't have to think about it. Simply bring my package there, pay, and it was done. I started noticing a problem about 6 months ago at this location with the new owner as I saw a huge price variation in shipping overnight from Boston to Springfield, MA. An envelope which was always the same size and weight was sometimes $10, other times $18, but I was alarmed when I saw a charge for $58. I've sent packages to Europe for less than that and this was just across the state. At first I thought it was because of the next day delivery time I was choosing. But my instincts were telling me I was being up-sold to a delivery option I really didn't need. I noticed that my past receipts were listed as Next Day Air, when it clearly says on the UPS website that Ground delivery in MA is 1 day. So, I went in to ship another envelope and decided to pay more attention to the owner and shipping transaction, specifically stating multiple times "I want the cheapest option as long as it gets there by the end of business day tomorrow". After being offered several earlier delivery times in a semi-argumentative way I confirmed my suspicions.
