It was a bad experience, really. I have a little, thin pocket book that I use to read the chords and play the guitar and it was falling apart. So I had the brilliant idea of getting something done to it before totally disentegrating. Had to convince the men working there that he could make some punching holes and put on a spiral or something on it. He was in a bad mood and said he could not do it. I asked gently for the second time what I needed and felt like an idiont having to bed him to do it. He practically snatched the book from my hands and made the holes and put on the spiral. After all, he threw the thing on the counter and said: four dollars. I was so shocked that could not say a word, had to take the original staple out of the book all by myself using my hands. I felt completely stupid. I wished I had gone somewhere else. Maybe he was just having a bad day. read more

Thank god for Gnomon and Catherine. Staples fax machines were down(Staples always seems to have something down) and I had to get documents sent out today to meet a deadline. When I walked in she said the store was closed but after explaining my situation she let me fax the documents! I always come here to get random docs faxed when I don't want to deal with annoying staples! read more

Not a great experience. The guy working there was grumpy and had no idea what he was doing. I try to be as charming as possible when I go into places like this, but I was met with big sighs and eye rolls. I sent him a color file; I wanted it enlarged, printed, and laminated. He had no idea how to increase the size of the file, and to be honest the color was terrible! It bled and was on paper that was lower than the library printers at my school. The worst part was that I felt like I was a huge inconvenience for him, even though he wasn't doing a thing when I went in. I felt stupid and ashamed. I hate to say this, but next time I'm going to Kinko's. read more

I depend upon Gnomon Copy because they are hyper-local (steps from my home in Medford Hillside) and because the service is excellent. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I really like the employees, I love their work (especially enlargements from 8 1/2" x 11" to 11" x 17" size) and I appreciate the color output quality. I use them for all my nonprofit work. They are closed weekends, which I take as good motivation to get your work done by Friday! read more

The guy who owns this place is nice and really helpful. I have not been in in a few years but my mother used to go at least once a month. They are conveniently located but have weird hours. They have copy (color and black and white) machines, fax machines, and they offer other printing services through their staff. I remember my mother getting business cards and looking through books of wedding invitations. read more

I went to get a Spanish book and there were no copies in stock. I had my name written down, came back later that afternoon to pick up the book, and it had been sold to another customer. I called ahead the next morning, and after having to call three times due to a lack of answering, was told to pick up the book at 10am. Went at 10am and it had not been bound, so I asked to wait there and was told it wouldn't be done until 2pm. Had my name written down again and was promised I could pick up a copy. Went back to the store at 4:30pm to pick it up, and it was not there. Very slow service and not accommodating or helpful at all. Professors always say how they give a certain number of books to be printed and Gnomon Copy always prints less of them than requested. Frustrated because I have homework due on a deadline and have had to walk here four times without success. read more

Just got some cards printed and trimmed, and I'm content with them. The print quality isn't stellar (some dithering) and the cut edge isn't the cleanest BUT these are just proofs anyway. You get what you pay for, and these were printed very quickly and cheaply. The man who helped me, Nate, was wonderful though! Extremely friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back the next time I need copies or proofs made. Thanks Nate! read more

I have been getting amazing service from Gnomon Copy since 2002. Most recently, one of the staff members sat and helped me to format a complicated booklet for almost 45 minutes, troubleshooting problems and offering solutions, even though they were busy. He brought be back, let me see everything he was doing, and I could not have completed this project without his help! read more
