Albertine Press is a wonderful, curated store in Cambridge packed with beautiful stationery, unique home goods, and gifts from local designers. Walking in, you're immediately struck by the variety, shelves and tables filled with interesting dishes, an incredible selection of greeting cards, art prints, and all sorts of thoughtful items for the home. We spent a long time browsing and loved seeing so many different and creative designs we hadn't seen anywhere else. It's the perfect place to find a truly special gift or a little something to brighten up your own space. The prices felt very reasonable for the quality and uniqueness of everything they carry. It's a fantastic spot for anyone who appreciates good design, supporting local artists, or just needs a great card. We left with a few treasures and will definitely be back. read more

I tell you what... the amount of Stationery Stores I went into while at home this past summer was AMAZING! from one side of town to the other! lol Albertine Press was on my list as it was on the official #stationerystoreday2023. Well-organized shop with lots of gift-buying options not only stationery - culinary items, teas, jams, kitchen aprons, plenty of children's activity gifts, and OMG the Boston unique items!! I wish I could've stacked up on all the things for my home here. The notecards I ABSOLUTELY loved here were the Boston ones with the skyline. In fact, on my next trip home I will need to get more. Oh, and the owners' daughter rang me up too! She was so adorable I can see she is getting prepared to love the business as her Mom does. Respectfully Reviewed. read more

The name of this press and shop of course earns many points in this Proustian's book (Note: no relation to Albertine bookstore in NY). I have never been here in person, but I received as gift a cute set of Brooklyn letterpress cards printed on really good stock from here that work well for notes to out-of-towners. I was also very impressed with the online store (a selection of which is on Etsy) offering reasonably priced cards; cute desk set products like magnetic cat bookmarks, cat sticky tabs, etc.; a wine passport journal; and much more for others' niche interests. This is a great local yet global small business to support by shopping for gifts for the bibliophiles and writers in your life amid the pandemic. Bonus points for the fact that nearly all of Albertine Press's work is printed on eco-friendly 100% cotton paper. When I'm traveling I love to go to stationery stores to check out pens (preferably fountain pens), paper, stickers, stationery accessories, and such. Albertine Press was not quite what I had in mind, and it was much smaller than I was expecting, but they had a small selection of things I like and I did find a cute birthday card for my father. The staff was nice, and the store was clean and organized. I would recommend it. read more

We were very excited when we found and hired Albertine, the cost and quality of printing seemed to be perfect for us.....HOWEVER, the design process was frustrating - we had to repeat or draw the layout to get an accurate copy of our edits. The worst was the final bill as 1/3rd more than the estimate, for fewer products, with NO warning of the increases of cost during the process and for services they said were included. Nice people - but use another company, this spoiled what should have been a wonderful part of our wedding. read more

I have been a fan of Albertine Press for years - it is my go-to for unique cards and small gifts - so I had to reach out when it came time to look at options for wedding invitations. Shelley was so easy to work with, even in the middle of pandemic! She outlined several options within our budget and after an initial (and very thorough!) Zoom call, we landed on a beautiful design. We were really appreciative of Shelley's guidance, particularly when we had to change our original wedding plans. Shelley gave us some great ideas on how to communicate everything in our invitation-turned-announcement. And after a few rounds of feedback, we ended up with announcements and thank you cards that we couldn't be happier with! Our family and friends loved them too. The best little stationary and gift store in the area! It's so easy to shop locally when you have a store like this...cards, stationary, candles, jewelry, soaps, odds and ends and little nuggets everywhere! Plus, all of the staff are SUPER nice!!! The only thing they don't do is gift wrap, which is a shame. And they could add some Hanukkah wrapping paper to their gift wrap offerings. But great otherwise! As an avid snail mail fan and crafter this place is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. They have cute cards, stationary, letter writing supplies, small gifts, and a neat space for teaching classes. I hope to fit a class into my schedule one of these days and they offer everything from bookbinding to letterpress! Shelley and her team at Albertine were the absolute BEST to work with for our invitation suite for our wedding. After visiting a number of stationary providers in Boston, we landed on Albertine. We appreciated their commitment to the art of letterpress, their design aesthetic matched ours, and Shelley was a joy to work with! From start to finish, Shelley helped us with the designs (we ended up going kind of whimsical for our save the dates, and a little more elegant for our invitations), took feedback super well, and was so creative! She drew the CUTEST drawing of our French Bulldog that we included in our suite, and it made our invitations stand out among all the generic ones. Albertine Press designed and printed the most exquisite letterpress invitations for our garden wedding. We had a very small ceremony with just immediate family, so the "invitations" were really just formal announcements of the event (i.e. we knew who was coming). But we wanted them to be special and set the tone for the event, which was rustic yet elegant. I asked for a nature theme and suggested that the text be surrounded by trees, just as we would be in our garden. Shelley (the owner) ran with the idea and drew up the loveliest design -- soft sage-colored trees surrounding charcoal text on cream paper. The paper and printing were of the finest quality, and she had her staff hand-line lovely envelopes to match. Our guests were all very impressed (my mother said, "I hope the food and drinks are as sumptuous as the invitations!"), and so were we. read more
