Total old school throwback post office. The people that work here are super helpful and nice. Unfortunately many of the times I'm here they only have one person staffing the counter. You can end up in a slow moving line 5-6 people deep for quite a long time. A lot of the self service options are super confusing with ambiguous directions and are not intuitive at all. Note to USPS revamp your self serve options with better language and you'd alleviate many of the issues here. Lots of metered parking in the area but beware of using the free 15 minute option on the meter. Many seemingly quick trips turn into 20-30 minute ordeals. Parking enforcement officers in the area are trained ninjas that will pop out of nowhere the second the free 15 minutes expires and you'll end up with a nice ticket. read more

Got a nice scam going here now with parking enforcement - tax dollars hard at work. They swapped the old parking meters with new ones and removed the 15 min of free parking. There was 5 min left on my meter, no one in the post office line, and all I needed was a stamped envelope. 2 employees helping the only existing customer in the building and the 3rd employee occupied chewing her gum and occasionally glancing up at me. After 5 min and the line growing behind me, she finally acknowledged me and the transaction was complete in seconds. Of course as I walk out within a minute after parking expired, the parking officer pounced and had the orange ticket on my windshield. Ridiculous to have a suburban post office with no parking lot or 15 min free parking window. Only useful interactions here in years have been with the pleasant older blonde woman who works efficiently and keeps the line moving. read more

You ever wake up one morning and think, "you know what I'd like to do? Go to the post office on the last day to ship something before Christmas with a giant box of stuff and 200 unstamped envelopes." Well if you have, that makes us the same. To begin, apparently the parking lot at this post office is nonexistent because turf wars were breaking out over the handful of metered spots on the street. I got lucky enough to get a spot on my first go around and only had three soccer-moms try to fight me. I'm going to call it a win. I carried my giant box of stuff up the steps while people turned around after seeing the line and decided Christmas was for suckers. Despite almost being cussed out a handful of times while navigating my way past the line ("I'M NOT CUTTING I PROMISE"), I found my way to the table where I could address and tape up my boxes. Why would I do that at home when I could do it surrounded by 200 of the happiest people I know: people waiting in line at the post office! I utilized the table and grabbed some tape and went to work. Three people took my sharpie (sorry that's mine), two tried to use my tape, and a partridge in a pear tree. I finally finished and got in line (I said I wasn't cutting!). Thus began the saga of trying to find the short customs form (they were out), prevent people from tripping on my box, and watching the hungover guy with the toddler. I learned a few things about the post office. 1. They have three tables where you can package and address stuff! 2. They have a kiosk where you can pay for things w/out waiting in the long line. 3. They have a self service station where you can buy stamps and what not and never have to deal with a person. I didn't get to utilize those features, as I had a lot to do. After 45 minutes, a tantrum from the toddler (me too fam), and finishing my coffee, I made it to the front of the line. The employee was more friendly than I could have ever imagined after dealing with people like me all day (procrastinators unite!). I got all of my shipping done and was able to slip out the door and to my spot, where the meter hadn't yet expired. 16 people had a hunger games style competition for my parking spot but I was long gone. Overall, couldn't have asked for a better post office experience on what was probably the worst day I could have picked to go. read more

They replaced the drive-up mailboxes out front for boxes that can only accept a single envelope. There's no public parking lot and now they added new meters (with no 15min free option). I'm literally doing their job for them - I package it, I weigh it, I print it, I drive it to them, now I have to swipe a credit card to park my car for 30seconds? It's as if they WANT to be out of business. read more

This is a terrible post office. Every time I've come here, there is a 20-30 minute wait, and the staff here tends to be abrupt and rude. It's also usually so crowded that people aren't able to socially distance, and are all on top of each other while standing in line. Also, my biggest problem with this location is the LACK OF FREE PARKING! Why do you have to feed the meter to go to the post office? I got a $25 parking ticket because there were no spots left on the street and I parked in a loading zone area. Ugh. I refuse to come back here and I go to the smaller locations near my work. Everyone's so friendly and helpful here, that's always a plus. And they're the only PO I've seen (so far) that uses the cool new priority boxes with the red stars on them, haha. It's conveniently located in the heart of Arlington Center, and there's street parking right in front of the (big, beautiful, old) building. I just wish there was an actual lot in which to park, because sometimes there are simply too many cars for too few spaces, and then of COURSE there's a giant semi truck blocking the (one way) street, so, yeah, it's sometimes challenging to just pop in and drop off my packages. But if I come during off hours, it's perfect. I'm really glad that my new neighborhood PO is so delightful! I love stopping by during normal business hours (for all my "off' hours, Ft. This office is the best. Parking can be tough, but people that working there very helpful with anything you need, they work fast and very friendly. They have drop off point, so you can drop your mail 24/7. I live in E.Arlington but I never go to E.Arlington post office workers there are very unfriendly and hard to deal with, that is why drive all way here and I love this office read more

I called today because my package was supposed to arrive yesterday. Me and my boyfriend called probably about 10 to 15 times before getting a response. When the first person picked up he said that he couldn't put my package on hold like I asked I had to do it online. Every single other time that I have called they have put packages on hold for me I've lived in Arlington my whole life. I called again to ask to speak to a manager and he tells me that the truck has already gone out and they were understaffed so they couldn't pick up the phone. I tried explaining to him that that was my rent money that was coming in the mail and he refused to do anything about it he wouldn't even talk to the driver like other people have done it other US PS is he refused to do anything other than just tell me I'm sorry after I explain to him that I would miss my rent payment for this month if they didn't get it to me and that it's not on me that you guys didn't pick up the phone when we were calling you at 8:45 in the truck one out at 9:05. Their supervisor was very very unprofessional disrespectful and even miss gendered me about five times after I told him that I use he him pronouns. If anyone's ever looking to send out any packages I recommend going to the USPS located in Belmont center. Not to mention my tracking information still says in transit as I write this review it doesn't even say it's been out for delivery yet and that USPS provides my tracking information so I'm confused as to why there's says mine is out for delivery when mine says it's still in transit read more

I love an old post office. Heavy wooden door frames, antique hanging lights, the library smell, a tile floor made from those teeny octagonal tiles. This post office is right in the center with its own parking lot. The workers there get through a line very quickly but are also very friendly. The staff is also very knowledgeable, they can help explain the different options for mailing items and show you how to complete forms. Did you know you can get passport photos, shipping boxes, bubble wrap, tape and money orders here too? Not to mention the cute patterned bubble mailers. Coming to this post office makes the most mundane of errands painless. read more

It's great that they have an APC. I agree with others who like the mural. I've enjoyed the place at Christmas when they put out the food that they are given as gifts for people standing in long lines. But...one or two of the staff at the desk are so unfriendly that I have started doing everything I can to avoid going there. Some ARE friendly. Weekday mornings seem worst. They also make a lot of careless errors--like they won't deliver your mail after you've had a hold order on. You have to call them to tell them to deliver it, even if that's what the hold order asked them to do (rather than pickup, see "avoiding the desk," above). And sometimes the mail doesn't get delivered at the house until 7 p.m. which seems weirdly late. Sometimes the mail is confused too--we get our neighbors or vice versa. read more

I think this is the main post office in Arlington. It's easy to get to but there's only street parking. This place always seems to be busy whenever we visit but fortunately, the clerks are relatively quick such that the line moves. I like that this particular location has longer hours (including Saturday hours) than the other post offices in Arlington. read more

They don't tell you that if you include a small object into a envelope (a greeting card) that it may not go through. If the machine rips the envelope, and your return address can't be seen, it goes into the trash. I guess it's better just to collect someone's money than tell them so the possible outcome so they can make the choice to send or re-package it first. No sure what's so hard to give people a heads up. Should be a requirement. No comment about what I think of them. read more

This review is just off of the phone customer service. Called in and tried to track a package that has been in limbo for 2 days. Called and was told to hold twice. Waited patiently for 40 minutes and then called in on a different phone to explain my situation and how I have been waiting for 40 minutes. Looks like the guy totally forgot about me and tried to help me out. His best answer was to wait a few more days for the package and if it didn't come in to call them back. 40 minutes just to hear that. Just horrible. read more

This is a lovely post office in a really nice, old building. And it gets the job done. It's conveniently located right in the midst of Arlington Center, making it easily accessible by car, bus, or foot (the latter being my preferred method - hooray for exercise!). The line has never been too long when I've been here, but even when it is, it moves fairly quickly. The workers range from friendly to indifferent, depending on which of them happens to be waiting on you at the time... They're open bright and early - 7:30, but I wish they were open a bit later in the evening. I would imagine that closing at 5:30 makes it difficult for anyone who works until 6 to complete their postal errands... read more

Just got a call back from the PO manager to tell me they found my package and did I want to come pick it up or have my carrier deliver it. Very professional and helpful. The package, which I needed before I left on a plane, was listed in limbo for 4 days in Ma. I called spoke with a PO manager who answered the phone promptly and was asked to call back if I did not hear from her by 11am. She called back in less than a hour. Service couldn't have been better. Last time I called a few years ago I had a less favorable experience. Things have changed for the better. I Don't go there often if I can help it since parking is difficult and it is a busy PO. read more

The women who work in this post office are incredibly rude and condescending, which is a shame for everyone else who is employed at this branch. I've had relatively pleasant experiences in the past (or at least painless), but today is enough to make me drive the extra distance to go to a different branch or to UPS, where the employees are actually helpful and don't take out their bad moods on customers. If the USPS wants to stay in business, it needs to train its workers in better customer service. read more

This post office is good sometimes. There are times where i come to drop off a package to send out and the ladyies behind the desk are great and happy. Although the other day I went in to check on a package i was going to be getting and it had said "Arrival at post office" but not "sorting complete" or "out for delivery" so i figured it was there mine as well see if i can pick it up. The guy at the desk was just laying around and when i asked him if he could see if my package was there all he did was stare at me and say they have nothing in the building everything is out for delivery and didnt bother going to the back and checking. I figured maybe the tracking hasn't updated yet. Now today the tracking says "sorting complete" which tells me that guy lied adn my package was most likely there and he jsut didnt want to bother going to the back and checking to see. This place is good for dropping and sending packages but checking on them ehhh not so good. If it ever changes i'll update the review. read more

Last year my family had to get our passports from the LEXINGTON post office and it was the most unpleasant customer service experience I have EVER encountered. Those workers should take some tips from the ULTRA friendly, efficient, and in-the-know staff at Arlington Center. These folks enjoy helping and it shows. I've never actually been to the post office, but I was having trouble with the mail carrier never taking our outgoing mail, and constantly dropping off mail for people who didn't live there. After leaving several notes, I'd had enough and called the PO. The supervisors were very helpful and understanding, they said they would address the situation immediately and inform the carrier/substitute. I went to this post office because it was on my way to work. I usually have five or more packages to mail. The lady behind the counter is very grouchy. One day she told to me come in after 9 am.When I went in the morning I saw only 2 or three people there. This is at 7:30 am in the morning. Is it right to tell people to come at certain time for their postal needs. What is wrong with this postal workers? If you are not happy go take a day off or find another job or communicate with your supervisor. One I saw her in the morning I was waiting there she was slamming the door so hard that It was distrubing. Everyone were just looking at each other with a surprise. This lady has attitude problem and should not be dealing with public. She should be in a back office sorting mails. Although I won't trust her doing that either the way she is behaving in front. I don't do there anymore because employees are aweful. Yes, that day I talked to supervisor and she said you can come in anytime in the post office. That women was wrong in advising me to coming at certain time. There is a guy there and he has poor attitude also. No smile and frankly rude!!
