I have lived all around MA and used post offices all over. The Wakefield post office is the best of them all. The people who work there are fun and they aren't boring robots. They make me laugh almost every time I go there and I also know I'll get what I need. They know what they are doing and get it done. The reviewer above me has pretty much summed it up perfectly. At least a few years ago if I called early enough in the morning I could go to the post office here and pick up any packages before they were put on the truck, and the latest my mail would arrive when out for delivery was around 2:30 pm, and even that was a rarity. Now if I call to inquire about a package, whoever the guy is that picks up the phone is the most rude and miserable person I have ever spoken to and couldn't be bothered to help out or provide any sort of convenience. I'm not sure if the deliverer is new as well but here I am at 4:30 pm still waiting (as it is most days) for an important package with not one delivery made on my entire street. The progression of laziness over the past year or two is baffling!! Personally, I feel like my mailman is hiding out in the truck eating hoagies all day or something. Or he changed his route to one that screws me, or both. I've noticed he delivers in a way now that he barely has to walk at all, and is soooo slow, resulting in always receiving my mail much too late. Worst postal service ever!! Maybe I'm the only one who likes the post office, but I do, I like it here. There's usually the same two people behind the counter. One is friendly, outgoing and helpful. the other appears grumpy, but if you are polite first, she can be very, very helpful. So helpful, that I she save me a trip regarding my passport and helped me get it processed faster for the same price. Plus, how can you NOT like a "store" that offers nearly the same service whilst closed as when it is open?! Probably saved me hours of waiting in line to do my bidniz during the Christmas season. PS. They also deliver to your doorstep, every day. Who can complain about that? read more

Let me start by saying, it's a Post Office, if you're in search of the Ritz, you have come to the wrong place. Now that I have gotten that out of the way, I have come to know the staff here because I visit quite frequently, while they may seem quirky at first, they are all very helpful. The biggest negative about this location is that there is no off street parking, so sometimes you can't get a parking spot right in front. read more

Called to inquire about picking up a package and the guy who answered the phone really hated life (and me). He kept cutting me off and repeatedly assured me my package was out for delivery without even listening to what I had to say. Obviously my package was not out for delivery and tomorrow is Sunday so now I'm screwed. I can't vouch for what it's like inside but don't bother trying to call in for anything. read more

As someone who runs a small business, I often have occasion to use the Wakefield post office. I'm never disappointed when I go there. The Revenue Brothers always greet me with a smile, and invariably throw in a joke or two. Even when I arrive with a group of Priority Mail envelopes, this doesn't throw them off. And the same can be said for international packages. I invariably leave feeling better than when I came in. And now that they have added a Revenue Sister, I have to say they are the best looking postal staff around. I challenge you to visit the Wakefield post office and leave in a bad mood. Can't say enough about how awesome Peter was today. We had to get a passport for our 3 week old baby for a trip in a month. We brought pictures that wouldn't work and they were more than accommodating about taking her picture on site. They made a potentially stressful situation super easy and even let our three year old use the bathroom. Rexxx was also great with helping me fill out the paperwork. Thank you guys!!! read more

I pay my taxes which pays their salary. For that I should get at least a smile. If you don't want to deal with customers then you should not be working with the public. Trying to find a package that has been shipped and said expected delivery date is 12/1 and now it's 12/3 and getting anyone to help has been been useless read more

The clerks at the service counter (petite old lady and middle aged guy with dark longish hair) would rarely return a greeting, and I have to pull the information out of them, one painful question at a time. They act like I am bothering them. They also try to sell me useless things, like a sticky address labels instead of just giving me a pen to write on the envelope. I even complained to a supervisor once after particularly nasty encounter withe the petite lady, but he just told me that she was having a bad day! Ha, it happens every time I come in!!! So I go to another town to mail my things if I have some extra time. Rarely do I find such poor service in America! read more

I love the people at this location . As long as you are friendly and personable they also are and with a smile!! I have read too much negativity about my favorite post office. I just called about a package that a slip was left on yesterday. I was greeted on the phone and he put me on a short hold and found out the parcel was there. I am going to retrieve it today. I give this post office a thumps up. They are very helpful everyday in my book. read more

I love the clerks at this location. Not to mention my former classmate works in the back, but she's mysteriously never there. I had to get a p.o. box for my business. I just had another surgery and appreciate the fact that they have a handicap ramp. The parking is very difficult and slim to none, so I park on Yale street via Main Street. There is a 24 hour machine that is available to use to ship packages and purchase stamps. The staff is always very friendly, even when I see them outside of the post office, they always say hello and are very friendly. There is roadwork being done so it's very congested with a lot of detours, so I prefer to come at night. read more

I'm proud that this is our local post office. I had to mail a large number of parcels for a business yesterday. Instead of being met with grumbles, which is often the case, John at the front counter made every effort to see that I was able to complete my mailing and was very friendly in the process.
