I needed double sided resumes printed ASAP. I came in with low expectations, but wow, I couldn't have been more off. Not only was the staff super friendly (I think his name was Danny) and helpful, I was in and out in no time at all. I also used them again to ship recently and was surprised at them offering me another shipping method other than ups, which ended up being more cost effective for what I was shipping. Its not every day a business offers a cheaper option without the customer prying for it. This place is a keeper. read more

I like the convenience mostly of this place! I like that they will send out your stadard mail for you as well as providing their UPS service (with reliable tracking number). For instance, down the street west on Irving is a Fed Ex. These bozos only have their Fedex service to offer; it is VERY expensive if you do not need to have a tracking number. Anyway, at this UPS store, the customer service is good. Except they said they charge $4 per faxed page sent to a foreign country....YIKES! read more

Great to have a store where you can buy postage, drop off UPS and USPS packages, and buy shipping materials without making multiple stops.

I am really disappointed with this store as well as the owner. Being a small business myself I understand it is hard to make things work 100% all the time. But that being said when problems do arise I try to fix them immediately. Not so with this store. I recently had my parents mail me back my IPAD Pro ($1000) that I left in their home. I had just bought it and it was less then 3 weeks old. My father mailed it to this store where I have a mailbox rental unit. It was signed for by the owner and an employee. I went to pick it up and it wasn't there. They don't know where it is. I filed a claim with UPS and they said since it was signed for it is the responsibility of the store and those that have actually taken delivery of the package. My parents bought insurance on the Ipad but since this UPS store actually received it the insurance does not apply...And so the drama begins. My parents and I have been jumping through hoops trying to get this resolved. The owner of the franchise actually wanted me to get a hold of Apple so they could "ping" the Ipad and locate the thieves. As if I want an Ipad that has been stolen and mishandled when I had one that was mint condition until they laid their hands on it..Now I have to go down to the police station and fill out a police report. Then I will have to go through the headache of small claims court because the owner has zero intention of paying for his negligence...If anyone has gone to court for something like this they understand it is a big process once a judgment is received you then have to collect...It is a big pain... My advice...Do not use this store...Do not send anything of value here...it can go missing. And if so they will do nothing to actually help you but talk and waste your time... read more

The staff here is completely useless. I will never send anything from this location again. They snap at you over anything little thing and have a bad attitude when you actually have them do their job. I would rather walk father to another UPS location then waste my time here again. read more

This UPS Store is by far the best one I have been to. I recently moved from LA and there are many times where I need to send stuff out etc... and they have been outstanding at that store. I live in East Lakeview and the one on Clark is closer to me. However, the people at that UPS store were extremely rude and I did not feel comfortable leaving my packages with them. I walked extra to get to this location and felt comfortable, and had all my questions answered, and the customer service was excellent. There was a guy that helped me out there and he was great. If you want to feel comfortable with your stuff being sent out, and want great customer service, come to this store. They are beyond awesome. read more

This place is a good location but not worth the attitude you get from the older employees. They are so rude! And SLOW! Lee and his team at this store are amazing people! I had to get notary services for some urgent documents that needed to be shipped for my loan closing and everyone at this store were truly life savers and went out of their way to help and provide alternatives. Great service on a very snowy day. I typically do not write reviews but this experience called for one. A Young Lady working there (Brittany - not sure of spelling) was very nice, friendly and went above and beyond -completely took care of everything I needed even though she had to multitask with several customer. Was a great surprise to find someone so helpful, friendly, knowledgeable. I am new to the UPS Store, I usually use a US Post office -but didn't have time to go to one. Dropped off a UPS package (2nd day air) and got the drop off "receipt." I don't understand why, though, the package sat at this store for THREE DAYS before UPS picked it up? My tracking info showed that I dropped it off at 1:44 pm on 8/20. UPS picked up the package from the store on 8/23 at 12:51 pm. The package did not arrive at its destination until 8/27. The package basically took a FULL WEEK to arrive, even after paying for 2nd day air??? I could have sent it faster through the post office...at 1/3 the price!! read more

I recently had two large signs printed at this store and was very satisfied with the finished product. Not only were the signs printed in excellent quality, but the price was cheap and the staff were extremely kind and helpful. I would recommend going to this UPS branch if possible. On Wednesday, December 15, 2010 around 1:40 pm, I arrived at The UPS Store, located at: 3712 N BROADWAY STCHICAGO, IL 60613Tel.: 773-975-7100 I was there to ship 3 items. Kass helped me, who was very polite, courteous, kind, and professional. As she was weighing the items and entering addresses, she told me the price to ship each box. She told me the first box would cost $10.22 to ship a 1 pound small box to Georgia. I thought that seemed a little more than I was used to shipping, and asked Kass if the rates went up recently. She explained sometimes distance plays a factor in how much things can cost. She weighed the second box and told me it would be $10.45 to ship a small 1 pound box to Indiana. I told her that second box is only going to Indiana, how can it cost that much? She said she thinks she entered it correctly but will ask someone to double check. At which point she asks Richard Ostrowski to come help her. Richard looked and said everything was correct. With his back facing me, said, "That is how much it costs, it is not expensive, that is the price". I asked him if he was speaking to me, as he did not face. He turned to me and told me that is how much it costs. I told him that was fine and I would take my packages elsewhere to ship them. He told me in an overly-loud and sharp tone, "Well you can't just come in here and waste her (Kass's) time and when you don't like the price, just storm out of here". I told him I did not think I was wasting her time. I had no idea it was going to cost so much to ship these items and wanted them back and I would go elsewhere. He said, "You need to pay for these boxes first." He began yelling his next sentences at me. Kass was attempting to apologize and explain the charging of the boxes at which point William Haley got involved. William Haley told Kass to "Get in the back and stay there and let Richard handle it". While William was telling Kass to get in the back, I hear Kass asking, if there is any way we can help me out with the price of the boxes. Richard then yells over Kass and Richard to say, "You can't override me on this Kass! Get in the back and stay there." William came out to speak with me after I asked to speak with the manager. Richard said, "I'll be the manager, what do you want?", I said I would like to speak to the actual manager. William told me that the boxes are now unusable and I would now have to pay for them. I said I am disappointed that I have to pay for them, and even more concerned that an associate would be allowed to yell at a customer. Throughout my attempt in speaking with William, Richard continued to interject and yell at me. I told Richard that I was done speaking to him due to the tone of voice he was using. Richard told me that I must have supersonic hearing because he wasn't yelling. I asked William if he thought asking for an apology for the way Richard was speaking to me was unreasonable. William said, "Richard didn't yell, he just told you that you had to pay for the boxes." This is not true, other customers were starting, Kass was shaking and looked as if she was about to cry. I told them that I thought an apology was necessary and that due to the way I was treated, I should not have to pay for the boxes. William told me I had to pay. I paid $12.84 for the boxes. I asked Richard several times to stop yelling at me. I told Richard I was no longer going to speak with him, and asked William to come help me twice before he would. At no point did Richard back away and let William finish helping me. He continued to comment and belittle me. I would like: $12.84 to be refunded back to me for being yelled at by one employee and for the manager being unwilling to even apologize. I would also like: A written apology from William Haley for his lack of managerial courage and lack of customer focus. I would like a written apology from Richard Ostrowski for yelling at me. I would like both William and Richard to send written apologies to Kass as well. read more

Customer beware: The UPS store at 3712 N. Broadway, Chicago, IL lost a package that I brought to them for delivery in December of 2017. It was a Christmas gift that never arrived, but that is not the biggest problem. When I called the local store to try to track the package and get assistance with finding the package, I was met with a very hostile and unhelpful response from the woman who answered the phone initially and on subsequent calls. Finally after about a month, it seems she filed a report of the lost package with UPS itself and had an agent from UPS phone me. That representative was very helpful on the phone but proceeded to not follow up with me, or ask for the needed paperwork or documentation in order to issue a refund. Eventually a check arrived in the mail for an amount that was quite a bit less than the value of the goods sent. I called the UPS claims group about that and was told to fill out new claims forms and provide a copy of the invoices, which I did. I was instructed to fax the info to the UPS Claims Processing Center. I tried to fax the info on a Friday and again twice on the following Monday. The fax number was not accepting faxes. I called about this and was told to mail in the forms (which is also an option on the form). Since I had no other option I mailed the forms and supporting information on 3/5/18. I have never received a call or follow up in any way since that time. I called today 4/12/18 to follow up and was told that the paperwork was not received. Then the agent told me that there was a resolution entered into the system but that the information was sent to the local UPS Store at 3712 N. Broadway and that maybe I should call them. If the local UPS store received information on a claim for a package sent through them, they should have contacted me. But of course they did not. That store was not helpful in the beginning so it is no surprise that they are not being helpful now. I would like to add that the store employee pointed out quite strongly that their store is not UPS (even though they are a UPS Store, with a big sign to prove it) and that they are not responsible for any lost packages. So here it is 4 months later with no proper handling of the claim for the package UPS lost. They did not follow the claims protocol on their website. Almost no one gave me a straight story, and I am done. I do not ever plan to use that UPS store again which is too bad because it is a convenient location for me. So far, I am not planning to ever use any UPS store in the future. I have had significantly more professional and reliable service from the post office! read more

They kindly offered to donate the shipping box, which was so thoughtful. They determined the best way to pack and ship the goods and worked quickly to get the project done in the most cost-effective manner possible. Paid over $20 to have a document notarized and shipped for an important exam. Document has been denied because they didn't even put a date on it. Just paid another $45 to have it notarized AGAIN and sent off now 1-day shipping otherwise I would be past the due date for the documents to be submitted. Very disappointed as a student who is on a very limited budget as it is. read more

The people at this UPS Store are really professional and helpful, even when it gets really busy. There's parking (which is so rare for UPS Stores in the city) and they'll refer you to the local USPS office if you'll save money that way. They pack really carefully and I've never ever once had anything sent or received that was damaged and I've been using them for about 3 years now. I've been coming to this store since I moved to the area a couple of months ago and I've had great experiences. The guys who work there are very friendly, helpful and trustworthy - I've never worried that any of my packages were packed incorrectly. They go out of their way to explain the best shipping options for me and every time I'm there I see them doing the same for other customers... they are always accomodating for people's printing needs, too. I gave one star for this store's manager having the gall to stick the store's unofficial motto of "the customer is always wrong." Bottom line: don't ship here! Awful customer service paired with unreasonable, arbitrary charges. My experience couldn't be more different than Brian's. I've had two things delivered to this store. For the first package, no one called me...they called the sender, who called me. Strike one. This package arrived terribly damaged - the box was open with the contents spilling out - strike two. When I pointed this out to the clerk, he turned around and asked a colleague "did this come like this" - implying that perhaps I just kicked the hell out of it while he wasn't looking...strike three. My second package was large. I sent it to the UPS store because UPS, after failing to deliver 3 times (not 3 notices, three times, sending back to sender incorrectly - an entirely different nightmare with the local UPS facility) had damaged my TV. I was called this time, (perhaps a few days after it got there?) but was away on business. I was informed that because they didn't feel like moving it to the basement ($10 additional fee) they would leave it in their way behind the registers and charge me $25. I informed the manager that I didn't think this was reasonable, nor in the contract. Upon pickup a couple days later, I was informed that they were sticking to their guns. The clerk even said "I won't argue with you but I'm not letting you leave the store with that TV unless you pay $25." Upon following up with the manager, he pointed out their catch-all clause #8 "for extremely bulky or heavy packages, there may be an additional charge" - whatever the manager wants, they will hold your package hostage until you pay, as they did for me. My final call to the store ended with Maynard, the manager, telling me (after a grand total of 20 seconds on the phone) that "you've already wasted enough of our time. Find another store. Is it alright to review a store you've never gone to? (I can see arguments both ways.) In any case, I have tried to use this location, as it is right by my house, but have never. I call and hear really unreasonable prices and I can't do it. I see they are under new management, so I thought their wild fees would be gone (charging a dollar or so to open each file on a flash drive!), but they at least remain in the form of my most recent query, lamination. $3 a sheet there, versus $1.89 at the UPS on Southport (my preferred UPS store). I know all these little services must add up to a supporting business and understand this is part of the social contract for mailing shops like these, but the one on Southport seems to be doing ok. They are fine on the phone, I'll give them that, and it is via their business that I learned and became interested in how UPS stores are individually managed. So, I've at least learned something! And maybe they have reasonable prices for other services I have not tried. But, you see, I'm not quite tempted now... read more

The only reason I ever go into this UPS store is out of dire necessity. To be objective, the store is small. Otherwise, there are no excuses for rudeness - they always act like they are doing you a huge favor to wait on you and if they are on the phone are talking to someone else they will take as long as they want before the acknowledge you. They won't even consider a question about a shipment until you have filled out a form and overall they are just completely rude from beginning to end every time I go in the store. You know when you feel welcome and they go out of your way to make you feel like you should be honored to be allowed in the door. If they didn't have parking and weren't right next to my bank, I would never ever go in but on occasion if I need a stamp and have no other choice, I go there. Keep in mind Walgreens does sell books of stamps now and are just less than a block away . read more
