I was in a pinch needing to print 20 copies of a booklet for my students, and they helped me right away (luckily no other customer was there at the moment). At one point, the printer mysteriously cut off parts of the pages, and by then a whole bundle's worth of paper had been printed, but they didn't charge me for that. Awesome business. Professional. Fast. I was in a bind and needed to get some things printed on card stock immediately. I had previously used Action Printing down the street to do some color printing, but wanted to see what else was out there. Western Printing is also very close to my home, so I stopped in, hoping that they would save the day. The name of my superhero? Biyah (I am probably spelling that all wrong). I came in with a USB drive, he pulled up my file for me, showed me the card stock, asked me if I wanted photo color or just color printing. 100 copies took 30 minutes, as promised. Biyah cut them down to size like I asked, and I even got to walk home in the meantime and hang out with the dogs and have breakfast. The price was $40 for 100 color copies on card stock, which I thought was great, given how quickly I was able to get them. Biyah even put them in a little box for me and sent me on my way. This is how great the man is: when I came in, I said I didn't have cash and would they take credit card (they do). He thought I only needed ONE copy and was going to print it off for me for free. I can't tell you how many times I have walked by this business located next to the comic book store on Western and never really saw anyone walking in or out of this place. However, I was in search of a color printer to print out some inserts for our wedding Save the Dates (since it probably wouldn't be too appropriate to print at work). I requested a quote from Kinkos and it was ridiculous - almost $1 to print each card - and I was providing the cards from Paper Source and seriously it was just text and 1-2 lines of text that were in a different color. So I thought I should venture into this place that advertised color copies and see what they would quote me at, if they even did work like this at all. I walked in late in the afternoon and this place is tiny - only room for a desk up front and you could see/hear the off-set printing going on in the back. I was immediately greeted and helped even though the guy was in the middle of doing something. I explained the job, he tested it out to see if it worked on the color printer otherwise we'd need to do off-set printing which would cost more money. After a few minutes of pulling up my file, the print came out great, I approved, and he said it'd be ready the next day! And best thing - it cost about 30 cents per piece so WAY cheaper than Kinkos. We were really happy with the cards and the friendly service. PLUS we felt good supporting a local business (although our order was very small). But this is certainly a place to come and get stuff printed quickly and cheap - a great alternative to the likes of Kinkos. One thing to note though is they only accept cash or check - no credit cards. read more

I have placed around 5 large orders with them over the last two months, a couple of banners, signs and business cards. The prices are not bad at all, however you have to be on top of them to meet deadlines, they always say "tomorrow" but the drafts are never in my email. It takes them over a week to send the designs and another 3-4 days to print the order. If your nodding your head in agreement, head on over to Western and Wilson. But, if you are like me, and thought you'd support a local business to make your business card, or maybe wedding invitation, or any other custom paper product that you thought could have some artistic quality, stop reading, and move on to your next Yelp company. Really, I'm not kidding. Several weeks ago I brought in my business cards, fairly unique in their shape and coloring but hardly supernatural. I was told with the utmost confidence that they could make an exact copy and they would be ready in 7-10 days. After two weeks, I called to check up, only to be told, "little bit longer.' After three weeks, I checked again, and not to worry, cause "only little bit longer.". At about a month, and four phone calls later, they were ready. With the wrong color, shape, and overall effect. But not to worry, I could keep them, and just leave my deposit, and they would keep trying to get them made right. 6 weeks after I received them, I'm still waiting for the right business card. What should you take from this review? Don't go here if you want a quality and artistically refined paper product. If you want to talk to a nice man, who would probably buy you a cup of coffee, and invite you to his home, please chat with the owner Bhia, who, if he ran a cafe, would constantly bring in clients, most of whom would enjoy airbrushed t-shirts of their children. And if you need a business card that lets the world know you still use Myspace and want to Copperplate Gothic your Hotmail address, then Western Printing is your shop! read more

I had a last minute print job for work (400 color copies) that I was slated to send to Kinko's, not for any reason other than they were down the street and I knew they had the capability to do it. I was already a little nervous because even *after* I called to inquire about the process of submitting print jobs and told them I'd be sending one over asap, I heard nothing for a couple of hours (spoiler alert: it ended up in their junk box). Nevertheless, that wasn't even the dealbreaker for me. What *really* did it was actually the total :::drum roll please::: almost $300! For 400 copies?! I almost fell over. Once I returned to consciousness I gave Western Printing a call. I explained my predicament to Beia and he quoted me well under what Kinko's did (i.e. $80). He even called me a bit later when he noticed that one of the images was showing a little pixelated and gave me a chance to fix it. The whole experience was fast, convenient, and cheap. I had been on the hunt for a locally owned print shop to support for all the Etsy digital artwork I have found. I had previously tried printing through FedEx Kinkos but as you can imagine the service wasn't great. With Lincoln Square printing, I was able to send an email with the jpg file to print, and they got back to me within the hour with a price and printed it by the end of the day!
