The best UPS Store ever! This review is long overdue - we are so happy with the service we get from the team at this location. Conner, the manager, and the staff are always so helpful. They are like an extension of our office and we have only had the most positive experiences. Daughter has a package needs to be shipped via UPS, so eventually I'm the person to take it there. It's an easy drive there and also has a small parking lot outside, which is convenient. There are few people in line, but fortunately didn't took long. They also has kiosk for customer to print out receipt by themselves, but i don't want to study on how to use it, so i still waited in line. When I recently needed to print a form from an antiquated USB flash drive, I took it to my local UPS store. My drive was so old it could not be used, but without missing a beat the manager, Conner, solved my problem by locating the form himself online and printed it for me--his problem solving saved the day for me at tax time! This kind of flexible service is what I used to experience at this same store in the past when I needed frequent collated copies for a class I was teaching. Been to this location many times. Employees are always quick and helpful. One thing I've noticed is they're also pretty good about asking you if you want a receipt which a lot of locations they don't/forget to ask. Highly recommend this location! My 92 year old uncle called to wish me a Merry Christmas and during the conversation said he wished he had some of my mom's homemade dressing. She's been gone for almost 36 years. Well over the next 6 weeks I embarked on trying to send him my mom's dressing, I live in Chicago and he lives in Texas. While I'm a good cook, I could never make her dressing like she did. So, I began gathering the ingredients and all the shipping supplies I needed, which cost somewhere around $45 dollars. I finally got up the nerves to make it and was pleasantly surprised that it turned out pretty good. I spent two days making, freezing and packaging the dressing to send to my uncle, and on February 3rd took it to this store even after my car got stuck in the snow which took me almost 1/2 hour to dig out! I told the cashier that the box contained a perishable item so I needed it delivered the next day. He explained I could pay to have it delivered on February 4th by 9 am, 12 pm or 7 pm. I choose 12 pm and paid the store $145.51. It's now February 4th at 5:30 pm and thus far, my package is still in Rockford, Illinois with no expected delivery date. I paid $145.51 to have my package delivered the next day to Texas and it hasn't even left the state! I had to telephone my 92 year old uncle and explain to him what happened. After everything I went through to honor my uncle, they totally ruined it! I emailed the owner and have heard nothing! Update: DON'T NOT USE THIS STORE. THEY WILL NOT HONOR ANY GUARANTEE! They claim my package was delayed due to weather and there was no unusual weather in Chicago, Rockford or Texas on the the evening/day my package was supposed to be shipped and delivered. In fact, a representative from UPS told me that my package was delayed because this store did not get the package to the flight in time. They were 27 hours late in delivering my package and refuse to honor their guarantee! I paid $145.51 for next day delivery by 12 pm and they delivered it 27 hours late! read more

POOR SERVICE. STOP BEING SO RUDE. IF YOU ARENT HAPPY FIND ANOTHER JOB. Ups insisted I bought packages, I explained I had some at home and would return. The employee long hair never took my item out of the envelope and now its Lost. I called today hoping they put my item to the side and another RUDE employee slams the phone to out me on hold and claims no lost and found. People wake up! Technology is rising. Many companies are being wiped out by other better companies. Times are changing. It is crucial you deliver excellent customer service these days. This has now been my go to UPS store for over 5 years despite multiple other drop off locations in the area. The customer service and attention I've received at this location has been nothing but excellent. Just to give one understanding of how often I visit this store, I exclusively run my business from here with over 100 packages going out per month. The manager on site, Danny, has made every single one of those visits feel like a genuinely great experience with his friendliness, care, and attention to my constant business. I rarely leave reviews, but since coming here has never felt like a boring work routine and rather time of the day I look forward to, I think this place deserves at least 5 stars with special thanks going to Danny! read more

We worked hard to book a notary appointment online, days in advance of our appointment at this location. Once we arrived, though the door was unlocked, we were told "We're not open!" Totally our fault, as we had arrived 5 minutes early to the 10AM appointment. Once we reached opening time, we walked in, greeted the cashier who told us that there were no notaries in on the weekends and that we must have received a call (we didn't). When we explained that we hadn't received a call, he said it wasn't their fault, and that since the store had just opened that they would not have had a chance to check their email. Not sure what that had to do with anything. Lesson learned: we'll skip out on using UPS in the future. read more

This store is close to our house, but we stopped going there because they were rude to my wife. However, recently she went back to them, since they seem to have new people, and they have been nicer. So I went to drop off some items for returns rather than going to the slightly farther away location. As there were a number of people behind me, I wanted to be quick. I had one box for one order that Zappos had given me a QR code for, so that was no problem. However, another order needed two boxes (one with three shoeboxes inside) and another box with one box inside. Apparently there should have been two QR codes for the second return shipment. The associate, Eric, did not listen to me when I told him which boxes were going to be shipped as one order, so first off he put the wrong label on one of the boxes. Then when I pointed out that Zappos had said that two boxes were okay, rather than a constructive comment, he chose to give me smart remarks instead. Apparently it was a huge deal to take off one of the labels that he had put on the wrong box. Then, rather than maybe saying, "check your email" or "call the company", he said "one label, two boxes", gesturing at the two boxes. Then he opened up the box with three shoeboxes inside, took out the other box and said that if I could figure out how to put the other shoebox into it, that would be fine. Of course, he knew that was impossible, since he could see it was full. His solution was for me to buy another box that was big enough. Instead, I went home and called Zappos. They were really helpful and pointed out where I could find another QR code, even giving me a credit because UPS had been rude. So I went back to UPS, got it set up with Eric and told him that I didn't appreciate the way he talked with me. His response was that I was being difficult. I believe he was also the person that was rude to another associate when my wife was there. Can we do a little better with customer service? If I was difficult, I can't imagine him working with some of the people that my wife and I deal with every day. This guy needs some training and/or an attitude adjustment. I'll go back to the other location, as I don't want to deal with some smart-aleck kid. read more

I had a phenomenal experience at this UPS. I'm moving back to California and went in twice to get help shipping (very heavy) boxes back. The first time I went in, Ben helped me. He was GREAT. Super helpful, not only educating me on the proper boxes to use, but also reorganizing my boxes to ship back. The second time I went in, Michael helped me. Nicest guy ever. He actually came to my car and helped me pick up my boxes then made sure to help me pack everything for the most efficient and cheapest route (something I needed). Everyone I met at this UPS were super nice, very helpful, and actually cared about my experience. 10/10 would recommend using this location for any shipping needs!!! read more

Buyer beware when renting mailboxes from this location! On the sales receipt, all mailbox items are marked as "NR", which means none of the items associated wiht mailbox rental are eligible for returns, exchanges or refunds. I was a 15 year customer of this store and when I signed up for a mailbox service, I was not told by the clerk of this restriction. Within 24 hours of renting a mailbox, I found out about a less expensive mail service option from UPS. I returned to the store and was told there was nothing they could do about my rental. I admit I should have read the receipt in detail and I would have appreciated the clerk providing more mail service options or at least telling me about this restriction before I provided my credit card and/or signed the receipt. Before this experience, I always found the staff to be helpful and my packages made it to their destinations without incident. I also appreciated their Sunday hours and took advantage of those often. However after this experience, I've decided to take my business elsewhere. My advise: there are other UPS stores, FedEx locations or the USPS branches that will provide the same service without this hassle. read more

I went to this location on my way to class this morning to print out copies for a presentation... Being the procrastinator that I am, I waited until the last minute to print everything out. Super fast, and cheaper than I expected. I came in without a flash drive, and they were able to print out my documents from an email I sent from my phone. The copies were in color (I don't think I paid for color copies...), and they looked way better than when I print from my school's print lab. read more

It is an easy drop off location, and usually I have found their service to be satisfactory, but today I was upset at their lack of consideration. I got out of my car right in front of the store where 3 employees were standing talking to each other... no other customers. They watched as I unloaded 2 large boxes and set them on the sidewalk, unloaded my stroller, unloaded the baby in their car seat, and put 2 more packages below in the stroller. They watched as I opened the store door by myself with the baby stroller. They watched as I left the baby inside while I struggled to pick the two boxes up off the sidewalk right in front of their store. Never once did any of the 3 men make any effort to help me. When I left nobody (still 3 men and no other customers) made any effort to hold the door for me as I held it for myself and the stroller. I would understand if they were busy, but I was the only one there and they were just hanging out. Just felt inconsiderate. read more

Loud music is blaring from the counter the whole time. The guy serving customers had a big line, I'll give him that, and he was working alone. I waited, and waited, while he dealt with everyone else's issues. One person had a lost item. Another person had a lot of questions. I even let people in FRONT of me in line, because they were just dropping things off. By the time he finally got to me, I was REALLY running late to pick up my kid. I don't know why UPS demands your phone number, but the guy at the desk was really stuck on the fact that some person I do not know was using my phone number and would not let it go. I was running very late by now. I tell him "I don't know why another name is associated with my number, but that really is my phone number. I don't want to know who this other person is. I am in a hurry". He tells me "well, other people were in front of you in line". I get it, jerk. I waited my turn and even let other people in front of me. What I wanted from you was to accept that because of some typo, another person used my number, and not to conduct a full investigation when i am in a hurry. Everyone else got their turn. I DID wait through mine. They needed attention. I needed haste, and not to have an asshole chastise me when I have been EXTREMELY patient with his shitty music. I don't know why UPS is so big on demanding your phone number, but I say it's my phone number, it's my phone number. Screw this place. read more
