I've been to this location a few times, usually to drop off a return which is pretty straightforward and just involves having an employee scan the item and give me a receipt. I did try to come here for a notary appointment. I made an appointment at 12pm during the week and showed up just to be told the notary wouldn't be in until 3pm....why even let me schedule an appointment then?? This was very frustrating as I had to hurry, pivot, and go somewhere else. I had limited time that day as I was trying to get this errand done over my work lunch break. Overall come here to drop off your returns. If you need something more complex, I'd call first so you don't have a frustrating experience like me. read more

I came here for the first time to return an Amazon delivery and it was a very smooth & easy process! Truly appreciate that part of the experience. Plus they are very nice & helpful. The only thing, this has to do with the company/training, but to charge to use a bit of tape... like cmon. I had to tape up my box and the charge $3 for that. How terrible is the economy that you have to charge for simple things like tape. I almost went home and didn't return my package because of this, very disappointed in The UPS Store as a company and do not plan on coming back if they penny pinch like that. Hopefully, I don't need to use their services anytime soon. Next time, I'll bring tape and anything else I could potentially need! Definitely don't depend on them/large corporations. Came in to drop off a package for return to Amazon. It was a rug and although I had the original packaging I was unable to get it back in to the original plastic. Lee and Fletcher were so kind and helpful and we were able to repackage it and shop back. I learned a few things doing this. One is to package what I'm shipping before showing up at the UPS store... and second, do not purchase a rug on Amazon or any other site without seeing it first. It is really difficult to get it back in to the original plastic that it came in. These guys were patient and really nice to me. I'll definitely use this shop again for any UPS needs! read more

I came in today to check my mail as I have a box here. I forgot my key and thought I wad screwed except I wasn't. After showing my ID to the clerk and answering some security questions, she opened the box for me and let me check my mail. I've been a customer here for years and have always had a good experience. While it's true they seem to have a high employee turnover, I think it's a function of the high level of stress that goes with the work. If you want to ship a package here, go between 11a and 3p, after the morning rush and before the evening squeeze. I'd avoid Saturdays because they get super busy then. read more

I have used this UPS store regularly for awhile now. Consistent excellent service and friendly employees are my experience. They get a lot of customers here and I notice that they are always treated in a friendly efficient manner. never once have I had a problem. Brittany, Eli, Tom, Adrian all go out of their way to help customers either repeat or new. Since the beginning of the pandemic they have always worn masks when I was in the store which is multiple times a week. In addition to shipping they can help with copies, laminating, packaging and various other things. They always offer me options with shipping too depending upon how soon I need something to get there or not. This UPS store helps me be successful with my business. Thank you UPS team. read more

Although the people in the store were friendly, when I went to get a label printed so I could return my item they said "you could access our customer computer." This would be all fine except there was an $11 hold cost, a $1 initial cost and a .15c per minute cost to access the computer. When I asked if they could just go and print the label for me they gave me some song and dance about not being able to access the account. I asked if I could email them the label and they refused to print it for me. They said they agreed that the computer thing was bs but it was the owner's discretion. This likely meant that this is a known issue and even the staff are unhappy with this. I will easily take my business elsewhere. Note: If the ridiculous prices are wrong I will not change this post, the fact that I had to be charged to access a label when it should have been printed for me with no issue, is the main issue here. read more

I have been shipping 75 pound boxes and they're always willing to help me bring them in, often not even letting me help. Cannot stress how above and beyond this is. I will try to be as detailed and descriptive as possible. The tracking information provided by Ups has caused so much confusion in my building, to seller in this case, and me as well. I purchased an item from ebay last week via usps. Ups intercepted the package 1z1e222f0306905 (tracking information attached) I contacted the seller about the package not arriving and requesting a refund. The seller replied by stating that the package had arrived Wednesday. I trace the package to ups and their automated system stated that the package was delivered and signed by me. I was irate...I was asking around the building about my package, trying to find out who had signed for it. This went on for a couple hours. Exhausted and stressed out I called ups again and the automated system stated the same. I held the line for customer service. After about 20 minutes a guy came on and I explained everything to him. He stated that the package was held on the truck and that I could go to a pick up point to retrieve it. WHAT??? Why would anyone scan a package as being delivered when the package had never been delivered. At this point the customer service rep told me that I could pick up the package at a pick up point less than a mile away. Wait for a text message, email, or phone call. I agreed. After about 30 minutes a Ups driver rang my door bell with a package for the owner of my building. I stated "Did I not ask you about a package for me yesterday when I was walking my dog"? Do you recall? He stated that he did but there was another driver on this same route as well. He also stated that my package will be at that same location as the customer service rep stated over the phone. How coincidental huh? It gets better. I never got another call from Ups. After a couple hours I called back and after another 20-30 minutes I get another rep and explain the whole issue. Reference #1-166-233797413 This rep told me to hold the line for a supervisor. After waiting another 15 minutes a supervisor came on said that my package will be ready for pick up tomorrow Friday October 30, 2020 in Franklin Park Illinois approximately 14 miles away. I'm DONE....cancel the order. I was told that the cancelled order is in process. I then emailed the seller providing the reference number in this matter and also stating that I am requesting a refund. He/she stated that my add clearly says "I do not accept returns" Wrong response. First of all, I can never return anything I never received. Secondly, your issue should be with the postal service not me. I ordered the package, it is not my responsibility to deliver it. That's between you and the postal service. I paid you for a package and it is your responsibility to get it to me. However, he should have followed up with the reference number I provided and in this way he would have understood what went on. The tracking information is deceptive and covert. I was here Wednesday. No one ever attempted to deliver anything. And I never signed for anything as their system stated. The best UPS Store in the City. In the past I would go to other UPS stores believing they are all the same. NO WAY!!!! The entire staff here is so professional, friendly and patient. I frequently send packages out from from fragile art to just returning a item that already has a return label that just needs to be dropped off. It doesn't matter the crew is always happy to assist. I just sent a piece of art it was wrapped so well and protected it was received in mint condition. I highly recommend using this UPS location even if it is out of your way. I live nearby and went there this morning at 10a.m. 5/6/20. It wasn't open. Stood for 10 min. still not open, went home and decided to come back later. This is the 2nd time it hasn't opened on time. The store changed ownership about 2 months ago and it seems to be downhill since then. The guy who owned it before was a youngish guy and very professional and friendly. The times have changed from 9:00 to 9:30 to 10:00. Maybe they should change the time again t 10:30. read more

Whew chyle, you know it was horrendous service when I take of my valuable time to leave a review. To make a long story short, I moved to another state and shipped myself 7 boxes from this UPS location. 2 out of the 7 boxes arrived at my new place. I decided to wait a few more days to see if the rest would show up but they didn't so I called customer service only to find out they were being held at a location in the new state i live in now for pick up. The courier informed them that he did not deliver the boxes because my name was not in the mailbox. Somehow 2 of the boxes were ok to be left at my mail room but not the other 5 (makes absolutely no sense I know). I told customer service I was never informed of it, no notices were left and no calls so naturally I sat on my ass waiting for them to be delivered. Now that I knew they were being held I decided to next day call the location to get their address so I could go pick them up, only to be told that the boxes were in route back to Chicago (the shipper) which in this case is myself. The boxes not only went back to this UPS store which is where i shipped them out from but they also LOST one of my boxes on the way there. To top it off, they had the audacity to hold the boxes for over 3 weeks because they wanted me to pay again to have them re shipped back to me. Ultimately with giving me absolutely zero resolution and doing the right thing by simply sending the boxes back to me for a service I had already paid for, I had to contact a friend in Chicago and have him pick those up for me and have them re shipped through fed ex which delivered them to me in two days. When I called this store they claimed they are UPS but a separate entity, so BEWARE when you send anything through these useless people that work there. They'll wipe their behind if anything goes wrong with your delivery. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE. This was the absolute worst example of customer service I have ever experienced. The employees are not skilled in how to deal with customers especially after they lost my package. They keep on saying were not UPS we just collect for them. Then why are you called the "UPS" STORE? After demanding a credit for the lost package the employee said he had no knowledge of my lost package and I told him to get his manager on the phone. Said he wouldn't and said I don't give a S**&*%^. which prompted him to say he wouldn't help me and he would call the cops if I didn't leave the store. So let me get this straight - you guys lost my package, then when I demanded my money back you refused and then when I dropped a S^&* bomb you threatened to call the police and I never received a refund. The customer service here in general is great... but it'll cost ya. And I know these aren't standard UPS prices, ya aren't foolin' me, Broadway UPS! I generally come here because I'm an idiot and have yet to figure out that USPS prices are half of UPS, but I'm sloooowly catching on. And I order from Victoria's Secret more often that I feed myself and they ship UPS with handy UPS return postage. To give perspective, I once tried to ship a 1.1 lb box to Florida, and this UPS would have charged me $28. Excuse me, $32 because they found out it was a residence. WTF does that matter? I took that same box to USPS and it was a little over two dollars. I mean that's highway robbery. As I have said before, I don't own packing tape, nor will I throw down the six dollars to buy it, so I leave it to my shipping friends since they have that stuff on hand. Little did I know, this UPS actually charges you to put that stupid strip of tape over the top of the box! The nerve! It's one dollar, but still. It's the principal. You better believe I picked up jaw up off the weighing scale and scooped up my box and marched out into the rain. Of course I went to the UPS on Southport, where no such frivolous charge exists. read more

I am a beginner/occasional eBay seller, so I'm not interested in setting up a shipping center at home. I came to this store based on Yelp reviews and two phone calls I'd made to the store to get a packing estimate based on dimensions and weight of the item. Dylan (and maybe someone else) was professional, knowledgable and nice on both calls. So, even though I live in East Rogers Park, I hoofed it down to Lakeview to do business with them. I wanted to ship this package with USPS because their price was much lower than UPS's--by a lot. I was having a ton of eBay issues, on the store computer, trying to figure out how to adjust the label for the (larger due to packaging) size of package, but Dylan showed me the packaging he recommended and packed the item professionally while I called all the king's horses and all the king's men at eBay and Paypal. The store didn't have access to detailed USPS pricing, but that's a corporate issue. In summary, these guys are great. They were also busy while I was there and nice to everyone who came in. I have a few other items to sell, and I'll definitely come back here for the packing. It's rare to find someone who really wants to help, and who does a great job. #kudos! read more

This particular facility has been under new ownership for a little over 2 years now, and has made a dramatic improvement in both customer relations and services. The previous operation had an employee that was surely the reason for any less than positive reviews in the past. (In fact, that very employee had prompted me to write a personal letter the the past owner to advise him of the verbal abuse I had witnessed with both other customers and myself) I rented a mailbox here for 2 years, and have nothing but great experiences . Both the co-owner Lee, and and their employee Dylan are extremely professional and helpful. Even though I no longer need a mailbox for my business, I continue to patronize this establishment for shipping, etc. There is another UPS shop much closer to my neighborhood, but I come here for the awesome service and great vibe. read more

GO TO A DIFFERENT UPS STORE WOW ok for my business i ship the exact same item out around 10 times a month out of the UPS deerfield store for $23.60 packaged and insured. I was in area so stopped at UPS broadway store instead. The owner at broadway store packaged it in a ridiculously huge box at first trying to charge me more... inside I'm laughing then he says $74. I say no and he goes ok and puts it in a smaller box and says $40 he can do. I tell him deerfield store does it $23 and he legit says that guy must be an idiot old Asian guy right? and does not know how to make money or run a business LMAO so unprofessional. I walked out and shipped my package elsewhere for way less. This guy is a greedy owner trying to rip people off and even admitted that he jacks up prices since he is "such a smart business owner"!!! My bets are this guy will be out of business before too long. Please shop around for prices avoid this scumbag and his overpriced ups store. Btw they did let me bring my dog in. I went to this UPS store to drop off a pre-paid USPS package. Since I don't have a printer at home, I brought with my the label in a USB drive. The clerk asked me 3$ to use the computer and .30$ to print the page!!! 3.30 for one print! That is insane! Ive never been here to do anything personally. Strictly for work. If I did, I'd be broke. This place wants an arm a leg and your first born. Don't say I didn't warn you. Beyond that, the staff to a person is super friendly, they do all the work for you (and collect handsomely for it), and they are reliable. I prefer this place because it is closer than any FedEx option and they do a lot more for you. If you want a dependable place to handle your shipping needs, and have a corporate credit card, this is your best option. It's like a shopping trip to Macy's compared to your local post office, and you won't want to pull your hair out when leaving. I ordered a T-shirt from amazon and for some reason it needed a signature. UPS delivered it in a Friday morning (because *no one* has jobs where they would be during a work day), and they left a note saying it was going to a UPS access point. So now, I pay for shipping and still need to go to a store to pick up my stuff. I went to the location 48 hours later and the package is missing. The informant was rude and had an "oh well" attitude.
