All of the employees are so helpful and efficient but I'll give a special shout-out to Austin who helped me with a complicated situation over the phone when I was desperately attempting to locate a package out of state and have it forwarded (twice) elsewhere. I am compelled to share my deeply troubling experience at the UPS Store located at 516 N Ogden, Chicago, Illinois, on Sunday, March 9th, 2025, at around 2:15 PM. Unfortunately, my visit was marred by an alarming interaction with a store associate named Ericka, whose behavior was not only unprofessional but also shockingly disrespectful. Upon entering the store, I approached Ericka for assistance with two returns. Despite my courteous demeanor, I was met with hostility. She raised her voice, belittled me in front of other customers, and used derogatory language that left me feeling humiliated. This was completely unwarranted and came as a surprise, given that I had always maintained politeness throughout our interaction. Witnesses to this incident, including other customers waiting to make their own returns, expressed their concern over Ericka's uncalled-for behavior. They encouraged me to report the situation to corporate and to send an email detailing my experience. When I requested the name of her manager, Ericka's aggression escalated; she yelled for me to leave "her store" and even called 911, falsely claiming that I was harassing her and refusing to exit. This experience not only made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected, but it also created an uneasy atmosphere for the other patrons present. Such behavior is unacceptable in any customer service environment, and I urge the store management to address this issue seriously. It is crucial for the reputation of this establishment that all staff members are trained to handle customer interactions with respect and professionalism. I sincerely hope that the owner and management take immediate action to rectify this situation, ensuring that no other customer has to endure such an uncomfortable experience in the future. There are video surveillance cameras on the premises which I strongly encourage management and any store owner(s) to review both the video and audio to verify this very troubling incident. read more

Run. Over $12,000 in damages and no one thought to call us. We paid $700 in shipping fees. The manager copied and pasted a response. Didn't even call us. No one ever picks up here. I am calling UPS management - terrible way to hurt a customer. read more

I had a large watercolor shipped that was framed in plexiglass. It's corners had stryofoam on them, it was wrapped in bubble wrap quite sufficiently and the corners were also bubble wrapped. Too quite some time to unwrap everything carefully. It arrived without damage that I could see. This was an auction sale and the auction house did not mention the frame condition - the frame was actually plastic or plexi and had some pieces missing in two corners. Since this wasn't noted, one doesn't know if they were there previously, or perhaps damaged in transport or packing, but because there were no chips of the frame in the packing upon arrival and because it was packed incredible well especially at the corners, it wasn't damaged in the shipping. They also followed my instructions and insured that the labels requested could be seen on every surface - Fragile; This Side Up; Do Not Stack. Because of the packing/shipping being well done, I would use this UPS Store again. Their pricing was also decent. read more

Been going to this place for years to handle sending out UPS package. Want to call out the stellar experience I had today though. I had to sign closing documents for a new home that we received late in the day. We called this store to find that the notary was leaving for the day in the next half hour, so we ran over right away. I was extremely thankful for the notary being patient with us to notarize our documents despite the time running over when she would leave. When they first opened, we had stuff printed there, shipped packages on a daily basis. Then things changed. Service good worse, printing quality of our last job...total disaster. The store looks like a bomb went off in there. Today I am at the store at 8 (opening time). Wait for 34 minutes (!!), and the store remains closed. I schlepp my packages to office (no car) and call at 9.30 to make sure they are now open. I get attitude and the call is being hung up on. Nice. Very nice UPS. read more

My package arrived safely and in a timely manner. Living in Chicago, I find that sometimes packages don't make it to my apartment. Luckily, my friend suggested having me pick up the package at this location. While it's conveniently located for those who live in the West Town area, parking spaces are limited in this tiny strip mall. Also, the spots were very narrow. Someone explain to me why a UPS store would not take a package with a corporate UPS account number on the shipping bill? I don't have these problems at Fed Ex!!! I was given Zero customer service from this UPS store!!! So I show up here with a rather large box and wait 15 minutes in line. I finally get to the front and the guy tells me he can't take the box. I ask him why? And he tells me that he will not accept a handwritten bill and I could be scamming him. Oh that's a great thing to tell a customer. He also tells me that if I am scamming him he is responsible for the charges and he is not going to take the package. Wow! This is the policy of UPS. So stupid! (Honestly this would never happen at Fed Ex) He then tells me that I can drive it downtown to the main UPS location south of the Loop or chase one of the UPS trucks and give it to a driver. This really makes no sense now!!! So a UPS store won't take the package but a UPS driver will. I honestly felt like I might be on that MTV show "Boiling Point"! The show consists of someone trying to really piss another person off. Dear UPS store you are pushing me towards full on boil. Back to the guy working here. Thanks for making me feel like a criminal. The sad part is that the corporate shipping number matched the actual location of where the package was being shipped to. Oh yeah I am a huge scammer...how did I pull that one off? It was also a Saturday. The downtown UPS facility closed at 3pm. I would have never made it. And of course I drove around the neighborhood looking for a UPS truck and there were none!!! Now I know what Brown can do for me! Exactly nothing!!! FYI the package was delivered via UPS with no help of the UPS store!!! Also all of the charges were paid for and no one got scammed!!! I will make sure to avoid UPS at all costs now because of what happen at the UPS store. Your policy is terrible for the consumer and if you don't trust me then I won't trust you!!! read more

I would just like to thank Alex and David for being amazing every single time I walk in there. I'm sad to part with my ex-boyfriend's UPS box (really I'm crying this very moment), but having a mailbox where you actually receive your mail at the place I reside is a welcomed and beautiful thing people! FYI- you can't forward your mail once you leave UPS, and you should have to give UPS a credit card so they can send your mail via the Post Office. Since I changed my address, and won't really have that much mail; David decided to just hold my mail for the next few weeks, and allow me to call and see if any mail comes in for me. I swear- there's a lesson to be learned from all this, and it's always be nice to people (unless they suck big fat donkey balls, and then you just return the favor;). Amazing customer service. I had to return an 8"x10" rug bought online and after stressing about it and packaging it up I arrived at UPS during the day on Friday 10/31. I asked one of the nice guys behind the counter if he could help me get it from my car and he said no problem. He was so friendly and didn't even need my help carrying the rug. He even packed it up just a little tighter. I think his name was Darius or Darren. He was fantastic. Great service. Can't believe how easy they made this process! read more

Pactked two antique stained glass windows That arrived severely damaged. Broken in so many places it cost us $5000 to get them fixed. And since they were antique some of the glass could not be replaced with the same color and texture. We had 3000 Dollars worth of insurance on it. After eight months we still have not seen the claim money that's supposedly came in. We've been in touch with UPS store corporate headquarters and the store so many times. Terri, at the store filed the claim for us and said that he was going to give the money to the person we purchased the windows from. We had put a stop payment on the credit card just until this was resolved and had every intention of paying him when we got our claim money back. Well, we still still haven't seen it. We told him that he has no right to give our claim money to the shop owner. It is rightly due to us. And we still haven't seen it nor heard back from him. I would not trust the store again with anything. read more

I've had packages held here and shipped products out. The staff is always friendly and extremely helpful. I had to fax some paperwork the other day, and the gentleman who was assisting me immediately gave me a cover sheet to use. The fax ended up not working, so he assisted me in having it scanned and emailed. It did cost $5 to scan about 8 pages, which I thought was a little pricey. I guess that's what I get for not having my own technology though. My only other complaint is that the place was filled with tons of boxes making it difficult to walk anywhere. Not sure if they were being prepared for delivery, but it was like a maze in there. read more

The nicest UPS store I've ever been to. They helped pack and ship large pieces for art for me from Chicago to Los Angeles, and they did an incredible job of making sure my pieces were well protected. The package was properly labeled fragile, and they cut and taped together boxes specifically for my package, using bubble wrap and green packing peanuts. read more

Love is not too strong a word here. The best shipping service store in the entire city (or certainly in the 60622/42/06/10/11 area). Been going here on nearly a weekly basis since they opened a few years ago and have had nothing but excellent and friendly service each time. Definitely a big need being filled with this little UPS store (located in the strip of shops near the northwest corner of Grand and Ogden) considering the poor quality of the USPS in this area. read more

Shocked to find a good review on here. Dropped off a package (on Tuesday), was told shipping would be maximum 3 days (so Friday). I reiterated the package needs to be there by Saturday and was reassured it would be there Saturday at the latest. Didn't bother to get tracking or ask for a receipt - I figured it's UPS, right? You'd think my package is in good hands, especially after the overly confident "Saturday at the latest speech" by the clerk, oh boy was I wrong. It's now the following Tuesday and the package still hasn't arrived. Starting to wonder if it ever will. Thanks UPS for royally screwing up the 4th of July care package I tried sending my family. Thank you to the young lady working today. I went in to drop off a package quick easy already packaged up just needed the label to be scanned and a receipt. I waited a few minutes for the two people ahead of me to finish what they went in for. A guy walks in waits no longer than 10 sec and tells the young lady can you check something for me before you start with him. I waited just like the person before me and this guy could have done the same thing. I gave him a look and just turned right back the young lady did what she had to do finish up with me and then help him. No need to be an entitled asshole demanding to be helped before people who are already there. Thank you again to the young lady she did her job and made him wait which was no more than another 10 sec to scan my item. read more

Strictly Fantastic, The man helped me get my heavy package out of my car. He helped me tape the box with a tape that was more suited for the weight of my package & was so nice to me the whole time.
