This UPS Store was very helpful during my visit here. I was staying at the Palmer House and this just happened to be street level, convenience was key here. When I showed up I had several packages waiting for me since I was in town for work. When I came downstairs I was able to confirm that all my packages had arrived and see if I could get them delivered to the floor. The staff were on it and within the half hour they were up to the floor where we were to setup. When they delivered they also let us know what we would need to do when it was time to send them back. Time came to send our packages back to where they came from. I checked multiple times to ensure when they were open. When the time came we went downstairs to have them come pick them up we actually were given a cart to bring them down. Good thing about having an account with UPS all you have to do is create your labels and they will print them in store and affix them to your boxes. Once we got downstairs, we dropped the boxes, chatted with the staff and were on our way. It was pretty simple and the hours were convenient for guests staying/working at the hotel. read more

Convenient spot to drop off a package that I needed to have boxed up and shipped. This UPS store is located next to the Palmer House hotel. I believe it is part of the hotel's business center/amenities but has a separate, revolving door entrance, making it easy to pop in. I stopped by during the week between Christmas and New Year's. The person behind the counter was able to pull up my account information. This was impressive, as I had previously shipped out items through UPS, just not at this location. The service was highly efficient, pricing was transparent, and I was provided with a tracking number. The recipient of my package informed me that the item arrived on time, even ahead of schedule, as I was quoted an end-of-day arrival. What's not to love? read more

This UPS store is wonderful. Very professional, often very busy! It speeds things up a lot that I give them my phone number and they already have my information ready to go-- addresses I've used, my address, etc. They do a beautiful job of packing fragile items. They take complicated shipments, figure out the best way to handle the packaging, and get it going. I used to stay to watch them package everything, but after so many shipments being perfect, I don't feel the need anymore. You might be working with someone in training occasionally, but the veterans will help them figure things out. Shipment information is constantly updated on-line and accurate. I really appreciate their efficient, smart help, and the overall pleasant experience. It is really worth the reasonable cost. read more

This place is hard to find if you are new to the area. It is in the small shopping area adjacent to Palmer House. It has a revolving door that goes out to Wabash. The service was efficient and the store is neat and clean. I turned in my Comcast cable box, and they shipped it out for free! read more

Worst service ever! Two employees were there and neither would properly help me with a simple printing issue. The young lady had a horrible attitude and kept talking about being glad when the day was over. This was at 10am. This is the second and last time I'll be disrespected at that location. My friend and I went in here after stopping by Staples and Kinkos (both epic fails!) to print our law school appellate briefs on cardstock paper. This was a momentous task that neither Staples nor Kinkos could apparently handle. Well, Loren and Jarret saved us!!! They worked with us to make sure our assignments were printing with the correct format. What, at that point, had turned into a 1.5-hour task, they did in 10 or so minutes. They really saved our butts, and my friend and I couldn't be more appreciative! They were really nice guys who listened to what we needed and actually delivered. I'm definitely going back! FYI: The address says Monroe, but it's probably easier to go in the Wabash side of the building. read more

Terrible employees. I visited the store to have one envelope shipped. I was very confused by their policies when it came to shipping while using a UPS Account number. Instead of explaining how I should take care of this, the employee was very passive with me, did not make any effort to explain policy, and made me feel like I was stupid for not understanding. When he could see that i was obviously frustrated and upset, he found it amusing. This is not a proper way deal with customers. I do not believe I have been treated that poorly by any employee ever. Terrible customer service. Long wait times, incompletely trained employees. I waited 20 minutes for an online order (confirmed completed by email). The first employee did not know how to access it. The second printed it out and gave it to me unlaminated. When I showed him that the order was for laminated copies he set it aside and switched to another customer, asking a third employee to do it. She did not. Finally, a fourth employee pointed out that the order was sitting right there, already complete. No apology offered for the excessive wait time or the confusion. We had items to ship back home during our stay in Chicago. The address is confusing as it really isn't on Monroe but the staff told me it was inside The Palmer Hotel when I called, lost.Yes we had to wait a bit but it is inside a big hotel and surrounded by other hotels. Most of the people were like us and shipping things home. They tool our items. When the box arrived back home, things were neatly arranged and in separate packages. All packed nicely and arrived in good shape. I thought it was convenient and easy. I'd recommend using them. read more

Poor poor service! Yes, everyone is extremely friendly and they appear to genuinely be helpful but my experience was far from helpful. on Monday evening, i rushed after work, gave a print job to the person mending the front desk. I explained what needed to get done, he didn't take any notes, - this made me nervous so i took the time to write sticky notes and paste them on each sheet with instructions. He said he would do the job that night and have it ready in the morning. I called in the morning to confirm completion and spoke to the manager, she said the job was not done and didn't have an explanation. they couldnt figure out what to do. I walked to the UPS store again and they said their graphic guy was not going to be in until 1 pm - I really needed this job first thing in the morning. A nice guy "omar" offered to help, but he didn't really know how to use their equipment. It was a simple scan downsize the document and pdf job. I waited 2 hours and guided him the entire time. I am not sure why UPS is offering printing services for business if they are totally incompetent. I never did get an apology from the manager, she just went about her business when even after i complained at the store asking why it wasnt completed, she just called someone else to take care of me. read more
