So. Updated review of this. UPS. Store location. For the second time I mailed something for next day air and it didn't get delivered for two days!! Unacceptable! After hours of tracking and holds with UPS corporate, they basically put the onus on the location of drop off. So not sure what's going on at location or UPS in general. Fine for an Amazon drop or something unimportant otherwise will only be utilizing FEDEX from now on for important overnight!! read more

Charged me double ($34) for something that usually costs $13-18 to send. Manager assured me the price was correct for a plastic mailer measuring 9x6x1 and contents weighing less then one pound. This was sent basic ground without any add ons. Beware! read more

Gary and his team were really great in assisting me with a recent project. They had a massive print job underway, and couldn't guarantee that they could take my job for a same day delivery. Not only did Gary manage to squeeze me in, but got it done in under three hours. When I arrived to pick-up the cards, there were multiple customers there, and then we had an issue with the payment system. Gary figured it out quickly and efficiently, cool and calm under pressure. I know what it's like trying to manage IT and customers at the same time. Never easy. But nice job! Fellow humans. Please be kind and patient with people. This team is working hard to make us happy. If the pandemic taught you nothing else, you should have learned that we're all here to help eachother. read more

We shipped 13 packages on Tuesday night and were told delivery was expected on Friday, 8/25/23. Early Friday UPS Tracking record showed that delivery was expected on 8/25/23 by 7pm. My business location was open and manned ALL DAY from 10am till 10pm. WHY did UPS falsely report this afternoon: Attempted delivery business was closed???? This is a total lie. No UPS driver came to our location. No delivery tag was left. And UPS was of NO help at all in over a dozen calls to them. I was told to call the UPS Store where shipment was made. They were very dismissive and not helpful. We paid $715 and have received no packages and no help in getting them. So disappointing! read more

Some people have their neighborhood bar where everyone knows their name. I, however, have a UPS store. I utilize the heck out of my amazon prime membership, which means that I also return a lot of stuff via UPS. This store is the closest to my home, so I drop by at least twice a week with some amazon purchase that didn't work out. Even before 8am in the morning, every staff member at this location is unfailingly friendly, smiley, and helpful. They seriously brighten my morning! In the process of moving to Chicago, we needed a lot of documents notarized, which is a service they also provide here. You can walk in, but you can also make an appointment for notary services online, and also request a witness if needed in advance. This ensures they have the right number of employees on hand to help you. The employee that notarized our documents for us remembered that, and each time we stopped by after this asked about how we were enjoying our new home in Chicago. You can get these types of errands done anywhere, but at this store, they truly make it a pleasure. No matter what I come in for, how many boxes I have to scan, or how busy they are, the service here is exemplary. They are open on Sundays, and open early on weekdays. I can't recommend them enough for all your shipping needs! read more

I have never been treated so rudely by an employee at this store named Lauren. I simply ask her about an Amazon return label since I was unsure on the process. She curtly told me to read the instructions and figure it out and flung a label and an instruction papers at me. I live in this neighborhood and was so upset after her treatment, I did not even mail my package at this store. Lauren was extremely pleasant to people of non minority which I found odd since she appears to be Latin herself. I will post on every outlet about my unpleasant experience with her. Great attitude presented by the woman running the show at this location. I had to ask her a few questions and everything was fast and easy. I hopped onto a computer, printed a few things, and my card was correctly charged. If you know how a computer works, I recommend the self-service computer island to handle all of your printing needs. read more

This location is great. Gary, in particular, doing God's work with the most patience humanly possible. So many customers with silly crazy questions, an 8 person line, working the counter on his own like a champ. The complete lack of service that I have received from this storeThe UPS Store #6522 is absolutely horrendous and appalling . I paid $357.10 to have my exercise mirror properly packaged and insured for shipping. The Mirror showed up completely shattered with the frame bent. It has now been over 6 weeks and I have yet to receive a call back from this store with a clear story. The insurance is a complete fraud. I have called the store over 20 times and there is not one person there who can say anything besides... sorry I don't have any information. I have asked to speak with the owner or have the owner contact me and this has never happened. I will never ever use UPS again, and I would not trust this franchise to ever ship anything ever again........I am now out $2000 and no one at this store is taking responsibility. read more

They helped me set up my papers to print and have gone the extra mile helping me email them stuff and plugged my phone for me! I always went there couple years ago and now I am back as other stores lost me as a costumer bc their workers were not friendly not helpful . Thanks for running a happy business !! read more

I took in 5 pieces of art to pack and ship. They charged me to pack and ship each piece separately, then combine the shipments and told me it cost the same to pack and ship 3 as it does 5. If this isn't fraud then I don't know what is! read more

Went in to have papers notarized and found out on closing day that the papers weren't notarized properly. Had to leave work to re-sign documents so the closing would be official. Paid $45 to have a professional at this store to notarize papers. Won't ever go back with this happening. Can't understand how you don't catch minor details! read more

I have a UPS store 1 block from my house in Gold Coast and I would rather take public transportation 1 mile south in the frozen tundra to this River North location just because of the pure joy and customer satisfaction I will receive from the staff. Not to mention, did you know that this is the only UPS in the area that prints custom sized photography? DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME going to the crap Walgreen's counter or GOD FORBID the FedEx Kinko's on 1201 North Dearborn Street, (where the staff just looks at you with a hazy glaze over their eyes when you ask them to help you with something outside of the norm). George was quick, clean, professional, and offered numerous suggestions to customize my order just the way I wanted it! No other location was able to give me what I needed, nor did they even have a care to try. This kind of customer service is what this world needs more of. read more

Hands down the best UPS store in the city. I ship large artwork on a regular basis, and the costs, naturally, can add up quickly. In the past, I have had to either pass the extra costs onto my customers (you can imagine how much they liked that) or take the financial hit myself. The owner of this location (and his incredibly friendly + helpful team) has worked with me on several occasions to find creative, less expensive, yet still professional + safe shipping methods for my pieces to ship. Usually service is good here but not this time. I paid to have a package returned and it ended up getting returned back to the UPS store. I printed out the return address the seller supplied and somehow UPS messed up the shipping address. After receiving a call I go back in to see what the issue was and to show them the address 'again'. The worker used the wrong zip code and I signed off on it and that was their defense. They said that I have to pay another fee for them to ship my package which I already paid for... Terrible customer service. read more

I called ahead and described my need for thank you notes and envelopes. I emailed a picture of the text and the size card I required. I was told "no problem". Got to the store after fighting rush hour Friday traffic to find they do not carry the appropriate size envelope. I could not have been more clear in my requirements. Went to the Office Depot a block away and they took care of my needs immediately and likely at a much lower price. read more

There is a large air vent is painted a beautiful blue to match the branding of UPS and it reminds me of a loft that I lived in where the vents were painted and gave the space more character.
