After having purchased several hundred dollars worth of tile. They placed the order and then sent me the wrong thing. On my recent visit to the store. I found the tile I had ordered and showed them the difference between what I had ordered and what I received. I was basically told that the colors you order in the tile, the samples that you're looking at in the tile, could be a completely different product that you receive. How does that work? From a design perspective how in God's name could that possibly work? You go in with a color scheme, a specific color in mind and they give you a different color that does not work. It's not what you picked but it's what you get? Do all tile shops operate this way? I have attached a sample of what I ordered and what I received. There is quite a huge difference. They are not interchangeable. They don't seem to understand this and I don't understand why. I may have to get a refund and go someplace else. read more

We have always enjoyed visiting The Tile Shop! The sales staff are very friendly, and Jason & Holly are wonderful and full of ideas & suggestions. Its very clear they are passionate about making sure you get exactly what you want from your project. There's always wonderful ideas / large samples you are able to take home & check out, along with ideas wall to wall in this store! Never had a bad experience going here. And the pricing I have found for the level of quality is very well priced. I see several other reviewers were disgruntled about price but you need to keep quality in mind. Floor & Decor is a factory direct setup - so you get what you pay for in a sense. While I love their stuff, I trust the knowledge & expertise of the Tile Shop for the extra dollars. It's baffling to me how many people just don't care what the value of expertise & experience means these days...... We are in the process of a new house purchase, and need to upgrade immediately from carpet to tile and can't wait to see what we select & end up with. I was referred to The Tile Shop by my contractor to select tile for a bathroom repair/remodel. A tiny bathroom with tub and shower in a This Old House, the repair was unexpected but absolutely necessary. I wanted affordable tile that might update the look, but not so high class that it would make the old pedestal sink and small toilet look cheap (which they are!). Leo Irish took the time to help me when I told him I was shopping, but not ready to buy. He listened to my needs and understood that I am not a designer and helped me find a variety of affordable but attractive tiles. He explained the order process to me--order by Wednesday, delivery Friday or Saturday. After I checked with my contractor and returned to order, Sergio Sanchez did a very good job of confirming the style and the order process. When I picked up my order, they carried it out to my car for me. All this for $100 worth of tile! But wait, there's more. It turned out we were several tiles short--the original estimate was for aligned arrangement, and we changed it to staggered, which took more. Again, The Tile Shop saved the day, as they had a partial box of that tile in stock, and I was able to pick it up and not delay the repair, waiting for more tile. I definitely will shop there when I next need tile. The service is outstanding, prices are very reasonable and they are great folks to work with! read more

They saved my project and my sons birthday. I had previously contracted Floor King to renovate my bathroom and re-tile. After a month of excuses - Floor King brought the wrong tile and then could not come back for another 2-3 weeks when I needed this done asap. I immediately went to the Tile Shop, and they were amazing!! Leo and Cheryl walked me through getting new tile (better quality and slightly cheaper). They both sat with me for 30-45 minute to help explain the best way to renovate my bathroom and how I can DIY it as there was no time to hire a professional. My husband and I are remodeling our kitchen and bathrooms, so we went to The Tile Shop with lots of ideas and questions. Upon entering the store last Sunday evening (our car was the only one in the parking lot) the two sales associates behind the counter didn't even acknowledge us walking in the door. My husband, shocked, greeted them to just have the two keep chatting. Without any assistance, we showed ourselves around the empty showroom for about 30 minutes, and were not approached ONCE during our time in the store. We walked out without a single "goodbye" or "thank you"...such a shame because we were ready to start our project and purchase tile that night. We went to one of their locations and spoke with Leo Irish (store manager). Leo recommended a poultice to remove a small stain on our countertop. Leo assured us that there would be no downside, and that worse case scenario, their product wouldn't lift the stain. Leo cited his 30 years of experience and assured us multiple times that the poultice would not make things worse. Well, the poultice left a gigantic dark stain . Fast forward 2 months, the stain is still there. We spoke with Eric Barr, regional sales manager, who refuses to help or provide contact information for his boss. I also called the 800 and again was unable to obtain anyone's information. Sounds like Tile Shop's employees can lie and do whatever they like. Zero accountability read more

We had the shower completely replaced and the floors in the kitchen and front room replaced. I had a great experience shopping here, purchasing tile, returning some unused tile, and even having the manager go out of his way to cut a few small pieces so I wouldn't have to rent a wet saw. I had to pick out tile for two complete bath remodels and my kitchen, but had no idea what I wanted or how to match colors. Jason at the 290 location was my savior and asked a few questions then picked out perfect matches for me just based on my description. My contractor brought me at least 50 different options and saw my house, but she didn't even come close. He was able to keep it within my budget and also has install experience. I'm so thankful for his help and if you are looking at tile then Jason is the guy to talk to hands-down. read more

I went back at least 6 times before I actually decided on anything! I bought tile for 4.5 bathrooms including showers, etc, kitchen backsplash and hallways in a very large custom home and it turned out beautiful! I found out 10 days before install that the floors I had originally chosen, from another store, were on backorder and would not arrive in time. It was a very stressful situation, as these floors were going in the entire downstairs for our new house and we had a strict time limit. I went into the Tile Shop to see what they had, and Gage was so helpful. I was on the fence about the color of the new floor, and he sat right down to help me find the perfect paint colors for the new floors. The floors I had originally picked, from the other store, were also on sale, so our budget was tight. Gage not only spent a lot of time helping me find a suitable replacement, he even matched the price for me since the new floors were out of budget!!! They were able to get all of my floors in time for installation with no problem. We had another problem after the floors were installed. I chose a dark brown mocha grout for our wood look tile, but something went wrong with the grout and it turned out to be light grey. I was so upset and thought my floors were ruined. We also had to be out of our old house in less than a week, so stress levels were high! Gage was out of town, so I talked to the assistant manager, Mike, about the problem. He was very nice and came out to the house the next day to take a look. To make a long story short, he accepted full responsibility for the grout problem, and The Tile shop provided all of the product necessary to apply a color enhancing sealer that made the grout the color I wanted. They also paid my contractor to do the work, so there were no added costs. He even came back to the house to do a test section beforehand to make sure that I would be happy with the results. I love my new floors and would definitely recommend the The Tile Shop for any project. The level of professionalism and courtesy is second to none. read more

DON'T Go Here!!!! Sales people are not only not helpful but rude. They refused to take back unused tile which they previously told me they would in unopened strapped boxes. They were not helpful with questions and since I was doing the work myself they loaded me up with lots of stuff I didn't end up needing and now they refuse to allow me to return it. I worked for Tile Shop south , it was very unorganized, very...very old computers/pos system. schedule changes every week, sometimes you got the schedule the day before the new week started. Alot of tile were on back order. Manager weas shady, leaving for hours to run errands, very moody (constipated i think)was not friendly after my 1st month, managers would buy stuff to make monthly quotas and then returning it at a later time, since they have a 6month return policy, staff would watch videos on phone for hours(especially this fat one, who felt the need to tell everyone about all boys (not men) she was involved with the night before, staff would play video games, eat or threw frisbees around the store instead of training or following up with customers. The fat chick was always eating or looking at food shows. If you were not buying or seem like you were going to buy they would not really want to help you. They only wanted to help builders & people who wanted to spend alot of money. The company seemed like a great place to work and I've heard good things about other Tile Shops, but unfortunately, i did not have a good experience. Great store for ideas & free classes, but I recommend you shop around if you want to save money. It was not all bad, I learned about Tiles & designs with customers. The customers where great, but it would take time make the big sales, which was look down on by management. The Tile Shop North is where you want to shop. Good luck! read more
