Had Olvin come by to redo my backsplash after another company came and did a horrendous job on it a week earlier. He completely gutted the other companies work and installed new drywall. He made sure to put drop cloths everywhere, and cleaned up at the end of every day, putting everything back where it was each night so that I could use the kitchen in the evenings. Originally called Olvin to just replace shower tile in an original 1984 tub/shower. But after some consideration we asked if he knew how to make it into a walk-in shower...He said, yes! From there olvin coordinated all the work to remodel the shower. Within about a week we had a brand new complete shower. I watched the whole process and did everything from demo, fiberglass, water sealing, drain relocating, and tile installation, etc. All the guys that made this happen were great and very skilled at what they do. I will even give big thanks to his tile guy Victor who did the shower tile installation. Victor was a professional tile installer, paying attention to details, lines and making sure everything looked nice and was clean and even. My husband wrote a review of our new floor done by Fuentes Tile, but I'd like to add my two cents and some photos. We are so very pleased with their work. This was a big job--720 sq feet of demolition and then new, brick-look tile with a very heavy grout line to look like mortar. The tiles were small, rough, and irregular, and there were about a million tiles to set. Olvin came out and discussed the job with us. The work was done by Victor and his colleague Olden, who were great. Victor is very experienced--truly a craftsman, and his work is very refined--just beautiful everywhere. They also were good at solving problems. For example, the new tile adjoined an old nailed oak floor, and every other contractor we talked proposed tearing up the very long threshold between rooms, but Victor made it work without damaging the wood. I can't say enough good things about Fuentes Tile. They started on time, their work is beautiful, and they are nice guys to deal with. read more
