Great pricing and install quality....if you can deal with the delays…read more Our flooring adventure began with a bang. More precisely, a whimper. Our two dogs had absolutely destroyed our ten year old carpet, and we were long overdue for a replacement. More carpet, for maximum dog wallowing/belly rubs? Or deny them these simple pleasures and go for hardwood? As our budget would have it, neither; we ended up opting for vinyl plank. Andrea was very helpful during the selection process, sent us home with a few samples and within 20 minutes we had a winner. A few days later she came by to take measurements, collect our deposit and give us an arrival date. The date came and went. "Well, no worries" I thought, Fashion Floors was in the midst of moving their showroom, this was far from a carpet emergency (is there such a thing?) and they hadn't cashed our deposit check anyway. After a few rounds of phone tag, we settled on an install date! Typically this would be the type of project I would tackle myself (and take months to actually complete), but in this case the install included hauling off the old carpet, leveling the subfloor, as well as removal/re installation of the furniture. I figured it was money well spent. We were told our installers would be here between 9-10am. You already know where this is going. They showed up a little after noon, but to their credit, they started busting ass and had the job nearly complete in five hours. Now, it's the "nearly" part that's key here. Apparently they had either forgotten or not been given all of their supplies, so they left for an hour, came back and worked until nearly 8pm. Kudos for the tenacity and the fact that they completed it in one day, but it would've been nicer not to have to rearrange the entire day. We finally made it to their new showroom to go drop off our final payment, only to find the place dark, doors locked at 10am on a Friday. We hopped next door to TacoDeli for a leisurely brunch, came back at 11 to find the place still closed. Bizarre. This necessitated another trip the next week to get these folks paid. Pretending to be outraged on the internet seems to be the newest fad, but you'll get none of that from me. There were some minor inconveniences here and there, but at the end of the day we are very happy with the material and installation, and the new flooring really did transform our bedroom. Give Fashion Floors a holler.

They had to remove the tiles/carpet and then had to install the LVP in my brand new home. The guy who turned up to get this job done did not even have minimum sense to seal down the areas to avoid the dust from tiles to spread. Also, owner had told me he would send shoe moulds but then did not. I had to follow up on that and get it on time. After the LVP installation , I was so disappointed to see a lot of dents/paint peels off the walls everywhere he took off the tiles. The shoe moulds was in a different color and did not go well with the baseboard. Owner promised me to correct with paint touch ups but never showed up after collecting the check. I realised only at the end how the owner could offer me better pricing. He balanced the good quality product with cheap labor. Owner does not respond to any future queries. I had to hire painters at my expense to fix the damages. I would not recommend this business to my friends.

Thank goodness I caught it before I left because I usually just walk out after starting a load I tried to clean it up only to realize there is no way I am going to be able to get this all up without spending hours and hours and I needed to get my son to school and me to work. I immediately called SCProservices and after speaking with me was able to squeeze me in quick before some other appointments because of the size. Showed up, sucked that stuff right up, left fans, etc. etc. Came back and put my carpeting back together PLUS shampooed my carpeting. Wham bam thank you maam. Couldn't have been any easier and my carpets smell awesome, ha ha. Oh, and I am a single momma and he was not creepy at all. I understand this sounds weird but let's face it, no woman (or man) wants a creeper all up in their apartment/home if it is just them there. He's cool.

I can't say enough good things about Sam. His knowledge of all aspects about flooring is…read moreunbelievable. I would call Sam before you call any flooring installer. The amount of prep work needed to get a quality and trouble free hardwood, or even engineered wood floor takes more knowledge and skill than one would think. It's more than just the installation. My wife and I have installed several floating engineered wood floors over the years and decided to do this one as well. But we have never glued flooring before. We hired Sam to come and do a moisture reading so we could determine the proper glue to use. While he was setting it up I asked a few questions which quickly turned into an education I could have not gotten anywhere else. We quickly realized how much more prep we needed to do. When the prep work was over, Sam, who out of the kindness of his heart, came to help us get the first few rows installed on his day off! He taught us troweling techniques, talked to us about layout and gave us tips that only an experienced installer would know. Sam spent several hours of his own time and asked nothing in return. You can tell he takes great pride in his craft and really want's people to enjoy what they purchase. I wish more craftsmen approached their jobs with the integrity, pride and skill that Sam brought to us. He told us he has been doing this for 20 years and shows! I will never call anyone else about flooring and only refer business to Sam. Thank you Sam!

The issues I had stemmed from the quote for the demo more than doubling after the first day. Communication and time management was an issue. The house was very dirty when I did the walkthrough to the point that it was hard to tell how polished the floors were and I had to clean areas with a wet towel so that I could see better. All of the walls will also need to be repainted. Be prepared for a lot of excuses through the process, I was told countless times that they were losing money on this job which seemed pretty unprofessional to me, and I suppose suggests that they are doing me a favor? A businesses inability to properly quote a job and account for the time needed to finish is not a customer's fault. When I mentioned the walls and how there was scouring on the floors, they said it was because they were trying to get it done fast for me, so again, the reason it was not cleaned and that some areas were not done correctly was because of me. If you point out any issue or run into anything during the process, you will most likely be told of all the reasons why the job was not what they expected and that they are doing more than they bargained for.

Avoid this company when considering installation options for your flooring project. My partner and…read moreI had Ismael and his team install porcelain tile in our living room, stairwell, and the entire upstairs of our home. They were fine to work with during the install and we even gifted them a bottle of champagne to congratulate the arrival of one of the guy's new born babies, but we quickly realized how poor the quality of work just after things finished. The first thing to mention is that they offer a one year warranty on the work done, but this doesn't matter if they aren't willing to follow through on the solution. Specifically, we realized the edging on the steps immediately started coming loose, effectively cracking most of the grout, they did not finish caulking the baseboards, and within just a few weeks of completion, several tiles in the master bedroom came loose, with one actually breaking. Two guys were sent over the next week to fix the issue, but it was poorly done and the issue returned almost immediately, but worse. They also didn't address the baseboards. I reached back out to Ismael numerous times but got no response. A couple of months later, more tiles in the master bedroom started coming loose, most of the grout started cracking, and within 6-9 months, almost all of the tile in the front half of the master bedroom and part of the hallway just outside was unstable. It's as if minimal mortar was applied underneath the tile to hold them in place. Since we were still within the warranty period, I repeatedly called and texted Ismael to fix the problem, but he made every excuse to not help us (being sick, having too many projects, being out of town), and eventually stopped replying to me entirely. It's now been a total of two years since this project, which conveniently puts us outside the warranty period. Sadly, the problem has only worsened and progressed to other rooms. I finally gave up on trying to ask Ismael and his team to fix this problem after repeatedly being strung along with no intention of helping us, so I had no choice but to hire another contractor. As a result, we're having to pay a hefty sum for this work to be almost completely redone. We trusted Ismael and his team would do right by us, and am truly disappointed at the complete lack of professionalism and customer service. This isn't something we were prepared to handle again financially, but need to make sure our home's flooring is properly installed and safe. It took two years to write this review because I naively put trust in the fact that Garcia Infinite Flooring would eventually help us fix the entire problem. With this review, I want to ensure I can help prevent others from dealing with the same awful experience we did with them. Please do not be fooled by the very few positive reviews they have. There are likely only a few for a reason. Save yourself the aggravation and take your hard earned income elsewhere to a more trusted and experienced company.

Background: We have had rental properties for most of my life. Due to unforeseen circumstances we…read morenow reside at some of these rental properties. My father has been key to this endeavor as well as our family unit. We are not strangers to hiring help or contractors but after his strokes, the family dynamic is changing. Our problems started in 2019-2020 when my mother wanted to update the bathroom with a different toilet. During Covid, I was nervous about this project without advice from a plumber. My dad assured me that they had replaced many toilets in the past... (it's true. However this time dad was impaired with vision loss and cognitive issues). I couldn't tell what was wrong exactly but I was one who wanted to watch YT for advice and my parents grew annoyed at the thought. After the install, I knew problems were there when the toilet wasn't maintaining water... I was ignored. "You're not a plumber" was my mothers response every passing year... Eventually, the problems were too big to ignore. The flooring and toilet started to leak. The flooring was moldy, buckling and lifting. I was worried about costs. I was worried about my mom handling this project without my dad being in charge... the plumbing issues and potential leveling issues. Mom got several estimates. Our job requires 2 contractors. A plumber and a carpenter. They work independently from each other. This review is strictly for the carpenter/flooring. Steven has great communication skills and work ethic. At the time of this review he has 5 other stellar reviews and every single one of them has nuggets of truth that could apply to us as well. He pays attention to detail. He communicates effectively and if you are uncertain about an issue he shows up promptly, responds via phone or email in a timely manner and his rates are very reasonable! My review is lengthy so I will avoid making it too long. Bottom line if you need flooring installed by a reliable, trustworthy company in the New Braunfels / Canyon Lake area, consider this one. We were very impressed with the amount of work done in such little time. It was Steven & one assistant. Once they started work, they focused and worked hard. Flooring was removed, replaced, beams, baseboards... This was not a tiny job. They completed it in two days! I do have before, during and after photos but it's on mixed media right now. A misc. note: I initially did not want to get involved in my mother's project. It was a true test to see how this project would evolve. My mother failed miserably in this task. I was only able to feel comfortable enough to intervene because Steven is personable and easy to talk to. I'm a native Houstonian.
