We had a horrible experience with Soleil Floors. From the jump, the number of days the job would take was incorrect; they told us one... it took more than one. Our rep didn't think through the job and asked the day of install about our baseboards then claimed it was a "client change" to the job. I didn't think of the baseboard situation as I don't do this for a living. There sales rep did not do enough due diligence guiding us through our vision. The wood floor itself is great and high quality but the rest was a nightmare. Don't have them do anything other than flooring - their light construction and painting is honestly incompetent and terrible. Lastly, new carpet for our family room. They upsold us a super plush pad then failed to write it up correctly. When I asked why the pad was not correct (after install) they acted like I'm a carpet pad expert and I ordered the blah blah blah 8 pound something or other. They were wrong, got it wrong, I opted not to PAY to fix it so I'll live with it, I guess. Overall, terrible experience but it could be the rep I got. Totally uncoordinated and a lack of communication for what we needed for this project. Very disappointed since we used Soleil as a referral from a friend. read more

Soleil Floors replaced all the flooring and stairs in my two-story house with engineered hardwood and tile. They did a phenomenal job. The floor makes the house look brand new, and the attention to detail and respect for all the items in our house they moved was above and beyond what I expected. One small complaint was that they chipped areas of my wall in various places, but this was after informing them that we were going to repaint the walls ourselves. Would not honor written estimate after on-site measurement. Soleil Floors responded to my Yelp request with scheduling in-home estimate. Lewanna came the next day. She was polite, communicative and friendly. Then she emailed me a detailed estimate. While discussing the estimate with her, I sensed she is not very experienced: she forget to include pad price to the estimate, then she had to ask her boss or installer when I had further questions. Three days later, I told Lewanna I accepted her estimate, to move forward with the job. She didn't respond to me at all, emails, calls, voice messages, text messages. From the beginning, Courtney asked exactly the right questions to lead us to the right product. She knows the pros and cons of each type of carpet and had a really good eye for the color and tone of the carpet. She knows her stuff and communicated with the install team on our behalf. The final results really rely on the installers and they worked so hard and did a great job hiding the seams and even getting some squeaks out of the subflooring. She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and guided us in the right direction given our budget and aesthetics. After that it was simple to schedule the install. They allotted 5 days to install new floors in our home and we were surprised when they were able to do it in 2.5 days. The installation team was led by Giovanni who had help from Brenda, Luis and Edison. They were fantastic. Soleil Floors was a dream to work with. Considering that I am a first-time homeowner with no knowledge or experience with floor renovations, Courtney walked me through everything and explained the process in such a simple way that it all started making sense to me. With her help, I was able to consider my many options and make the right decision. The quote she presented also had various Upgrade Options that were not necessary but potential add-ons I could consider if it was within my budget. Once we had the samples and selections picked out, they were able to schedule us right away so I could keep my move-in date. I'm building a house in Austin and Soleil was the first flooring store I visited and first time was a charm! The store is clean with a decent amount of inventory and nice staff, including the sweetest golden retriever! While I was waiting for the house to be built, I must have reached out to 10+ other flooring companies but none were anywhere close to being responsive. Courtney worked well with me over email for the last half a year while I'm in another state. She's communicative and thorough and patient while I honed in on the flooring I wanted. She and other staff members suggested looking into engineered hardwood but when I mentioned my concerns with having a pool and kids/people walking soaking wet from the pool at the back of the house to the bathroom in the front of the house, Courtney advised that LVP would be ideal in that case. I appreciated her honesty instead of pushing for hardwood like so many flooring people do. I did receive a slightly lower quote from another company but because Courtney worked so hard for the last 6 months and proved to be responsive and reliable, I decided it's worth paying a little more for great service. We spent several weeks trying to determine what flooring to select and Courtney was wonderful with having us to samples home and trying them out. Gino and his team were wonderful to work with and the end product was beautiful. Stephanie the owner stepped in to help us when after all our flooring had been installed we had a water leak that flood the bedroom new flooring. Unfortunately Ben made it seem as though his installers had PHDs in carpet and would give me the best quality experience. Realistically within the fist hour one of the guys felt so comfortable in my home he started to take his clothes off as you can see in the picture. Now if I had been the only one home it be somewhat ok but I have a three year old and my pregnant wife along with the fact my family was here from out of town and could have shown up any minute it's rather embarrassing. I had to email Ben the picture to even get him to tell the guy to put his shirt back on . For all I know this would be an every day thing . Long story short they where nice guys but not very professional. Also forget the fact they tell you they will move everything for you as long as the furniture drawers are empty , because every room they did upstairs they asked me to move the furniture for them . When I told them they where supposed to do that they then tossed my bed frames all upset on my outside balcony in one piece braking two of them . Rather than getting a simple drill and taking the 6 to 8 screws out . In the process they scratched the paint of a few walls but didn't seem to care . This level of not giving a shit only comes from people who take advantage or don't have experience one of the two . Ben only came to my house once the entire install and it was to ask me to remove the photo from yelp of the shirtless employee . Then his workers proceeded to stay till midnight without one call from Ben as he told me he would do around 8 pm . With the staircase being the last thing to be installed meaning we where literally stuck till they finished I was appalled but ready to just be done with it . This to me is extremely inconsiderate , no one can sleep not even my son when two loud dudes are slamming tools and carpet down around you or in the hall rite out side where you sleep at 1130 pm . When all was said and done and they finally left there was carpet pieces and debris they left from cutting it on my floors all over my downstairs. So guess who had to clean it up at midnight? Yupp me . A few days later I noticed they had cut the carpet like puzzle pieces and left visible super distinct lines and creases through the upstairs hall and every single bedroom entrance . I immediately called Soleil floors the next day upset and asked for the issues in my carpet to be fixed in which they then sent some guys to repair what I didn't like . When I told Ben I could still see the creases even after his PHD carpet installers claimed to fix them and make them less visible. he said " those will go way the more you step on them ." as his two new different installers nodding and of course agreeing with him look at me like I'm crazy . Really are you goin to try that on me cmon . So I said ok if I still don't like it an see the creases later down the road after walking on them then what ?? he's said give it 7 days if you still see any we will come back . Finally a courteous gesture after paying an arm and a leg . I thought ok cool . Well a week and a half later the crease get worse and more visible as I vacuum to the point where I call a second time to get someone out to fix them . Second time around Ben doesn't even show up the guys arrive acting as if they are doing me a huge favor by fixing their mistakes and when all is said and die they actually make it worse . Giving me a story about how they are the real carpet team but where busy when Ben needs them for my house the very first time round . At this point I can literally feel the glue bubbles up under every single area they claimed to fix and called Soleil now for the third time . I even had his mother Stephanie come out and inspect the carpet and look at the bed frame her PHD top of the line employees broke , they agreed with me that my hallway had so many visible lines it needed a whole new roll of carpet to be ordered it was so bad . I bet cause I'm so damn picky lol . They said they would once again have a crew meet me in the morning a week later to get the issue resolved too install the whole new roll of carpet . Third times the charm when the last crew who where now two totally different gentlemen from the first two installs tell me Ben actually has his own side business and they work for him . In other words downing his own mothers workers capabilities rite in front of me the customer . They also hilariously tell me they where the ones who where suppose to do the initial install just like the guys from the second bad install told me lol . Fortunately whoever they where did a good job finally. They also told me smith rather snarky which was if you ever ever have another problem with how the carpet looks it's your fault not ours !!! read more

It's been a couple years since I had Soleil Floors do my tile and carpeting. I'm pleased to say the tile still looks awesome, as does the carpet. I still love the wet-foot-friendly texture of the tile, and I get loads of compliments on the carpet, especially the underpad which is super soft under bare feet. I had to call them recently for a quick assist on laying down some carpeting I had to pull up after a slight water mishap. Ben found a small window in just a few days and his guys had my house back to normal in about an hour. Still love this company! read more

While showing me a beautiful selection of flooring, they took the time to bring out paint samples to view with the flooring as I will be painting my bedroom. They also advised on the best laminate for my two dogs. They were thoughtful about my budget and patient during the selection process. We had a great experience with Soleil until our engineered hardwood floors were installed. To be clear, the installation itself is lovely. Our carpet installation looks very nice, as well. The issue is that the engineered wood floor does not look like the sample. We expected variations in the wood because it's a natural product with natural variation. Instead, the floor has areas of battleship gray epoxy filling the knots and cracks.... The flooring is brown. (Photos attached). I emailed our sales person about this issue, and she came to the house to look at the floor. She said that the floor met industry standards and that the manufacturer would not replace it, despite acknowledging the fact that the sample did not represent the actual product. She sent me pictures of other engineered floors to point out that our floor looks pretty good compared to those floors... IE it could be worse. She said she could offer the replacement of 5-6 planks (over 3 rooms) for those areas that we felt most egregious. (This wasn't really a solution given the fact that the gray resin spots are throughout the product.) She stated that, in hindsight, she could have done a better job helping us to set reasonable expectations regarding the end result given that she has had this happen before. If we had gone to a large box store, we would have chalked it up to a "you get what you pay for" experience. We felt that, by going with Soleil, we were paying a premium price to get a lovely result. This was not the case. Ultimately, we had to land at "I guess we'll live with it" at a premium price. Buyer beware! read more

Great sales but unable to complete the installation. After many weeks ( 6-8 ) of waiting ( due to weather I am told ) I canceled the contract and paid the restocking fee . The issue seemed to me ( the customer ) that I was always told that there needed to be two days of good weather. I hired Soleil Floors to replace the floors throughout my house in the summer of 2014. Pros: - Floors were done within two days - I was working nights at the time and they shifted their schedule to accommodate me. I believe they worked from noon-8 pm. Cons: - The workers left several empty beverage cans around my property both days they were here. I'm paying these people thousands of dollars and they can't even clean up after themselves? I am not the maid. - They did not have all of the baseboards done in time for flooring installation. They had to come back at a later date and complete installation of the baseboards. - They nailed through one of the baseboards and into the pipe that supplies the shower with water. I had to call an emergency plumber to fix it. However, the company did pay for all plumbing expenses, so that is good. General impression- While they did a good job on the flooring, I feel this company was extremely unprofessional. I would not choose them again. read more
