Just a few days later, we received a competitive quote, signed the contract within a week, and work commenced shortly after. Despite some unexpected challenges from the wall removal, they completed the remodel in about a month--far quicker than the 2-3 months quoted by others. Super abrasive and condescending to his crew and employee K. Argued with my design choices, did not listen to me at all and seemed annoyed with my questions about product. Also, took a call in front of my husband and me and kept on speaker. Talk about awkward. It was business related but lots of cussing and yelling between the two. The kicker was they quoted me 5000.00 more than the amazing flooring company we ended up going with and they were going to go right over the existing floor. So less work, more money, when I called to inquire about the process because I researched and got other bids, K was explaining and answering my questions well, 1/2 way through the conversation owner took phone and was aggressively talking to me. I said, "wait did you guys just switch?" He replied, "I can explain better" wow. So disrespectful. If you are ok with going over existing floors and dealing with this behavior, have at it, but I definitely can recommend a much better choice. The company I chose was pleasant to work with, cost effective, and flawless from beginning to end. Doing it the right way, by pulling up the floors is the way to go. Peace of mind for sure and warranties work when it is done correctly, should something happen. I will never have to wonder.

All seemed to go well initially the carpets were ordered and fitted, everything seemed fine. Then I started to get emails saying the invoice was outstanding and I was due money. This was a problem on so many levels but the main one was I did not pay for the carpets and could not go back to the person whose card was used to get proof of payment. What really annoyed me was the lack of remorse shown by the firm, no apologetic emails, just, you are due us money , pay now threats. When I asked the perpetrator of the emails to escalate the matter I got push back! Eventually the matter was escalated and after some email exchanges things went quiet for a few months, I wrongly assumed that Flooring Warehouse has resolved the matter internally or used common sense not to pursue the sum outstanding ..... then threats started again, this time of legal action. Talking to other business owners they said they would have owned the mistake and written off the sum outstanding (50% was paid upfront). Not with this lot, they seem to have little regard for their reputation or the inconvenience and stress caused to the buyer as a result of their own incompetence. Buyer beware, use someone who values their clients and puts the customer above their bottom line. The customer, after all, is always right.

The sales representative, Gale, was super helpful in pointing us to different types of tile. Their tile types included marble, porcelain and ceramic. They had some very unique designs especially for flooring. The store was very pleasant to tool around in as their air conditioning was ice cold. With 95 degree temperature outside it was a delight to be in Arizona Tile. While Arizona tile has a good selection of tile textures, their tiles were mostly muted colors, i.e, Beiges, tans, whites, off-whites, etc. we only saw one sample that was all color...too much color for us. We are looking for tiles that have with a pop of color. Our bathroom countertops have little speckles of gold. Do we want to play of that color. This was tile company to help narrow out choices. We feel good about where we are in the tile selection journey. We have about six tile companies on the list that we were given by our contractor. Two down.... Four to go.

I've waited a while to write this because the owners of MG Floors are friendly, personable people…read more They offer a low-pressure sales environment and were great about letting us keep samples for an extended time. However, after a few years of living with the results, I feel obligated to warn others: being nice does not equal quality workmanship or professional accountability. We were very clear about our "active kid" lifestyle (cleats, sports bags, etc.). We were assured multiple times that Luxury Vinyl Plank was a great durable option for us. We purchased one of their more expensive LVP lines (Coretec), yet it has performed significantly worse than the "low-quality 90s laminate" it replaced. The LVP is covered in dents and scratches from all the same normal things the laminate flooring handled without a blemish for many years. Installation week was a mess. Despite being home to answer questions, the crew made executive decisions without consulting us, many of which had to be corrected later. They didn't provide us with arrival times or communicate about the progress unless we asked, and even then they didn't show up at the times they gave us. The only phone number provided was the office number so there wasn't anyone to call for an update when they didn't arrive as expected. We were also hit with a surprise bill for extra leveling compound (they quoted us 3 bags but used 24 which was an additional $735), which makes the eventual failure of the leveling (details below) even more frustrating. Our furniture was moved around and stacked in whatever room they weren't working in and all of it had dents and dings in it when they were finished. They also had to come back and replace the new flooring in one room where they had rolled our piano over it, leaving indentations behind from its heavy weight. We incorrectly assumed underlayment would be included because every other estimate we got included it but MG chose not to use underlayment because it was "recommended, not required" and we didn't realize this until they were halfway done with installation. Every contractor we've spoken to since has shaken their head at this. We began to notice issues with the flooring itself only a couple months in and these have progressively worsened. We had a small bump in the kitchen floor from day one. MG came back to look at it and said they could not help us and suggested we contact the manufacturer (Shaw/Coretec) to escalate which we did. The representative determined the subfloor was not leveled properly and deemed this an installation problem. Despite their own suggestion to involve the manufacturer, MG Floors refused to fix the issue unless we paid them to come back and repair it (we did not). That spot has now cracked. Additionally, small flooring pieces near the edges of our cabinets weren't glued down and they've now slipped out of place under the quarter round, leaving visible gaps at the edges of the floor. MG installed new baseboards as part of the job which they painted after installation, essentially painting them to the floor. Now, there are large, ugly cracks in the paint where the two meet. Photos are included to illustrate what an eyesore this is. We reached out to MG multiple times via email, phone, and in person, and pleaded with them to make this right but they took zero accountability for their installation errors or their poor recommendations for our lifestyle. The only resolution they offered was for us to pay them more money to come back and replace individual damaged planks of flooring. Needless to say, we declined. If you want a floor that lasts more than six months and a company that stands behind their work, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

I'll list my experience below: -padded extra $400 onto quote for sink cut out and new sink which was not discussed during quote process. Luckily I saw that and purchased my own sink (also, they could've used the original sink too, so why add $200 without consulting with the client?) -added extra $40 onto granite removal charge. Quoted me $5/sq ft for removal. -cracked my backsplash and only offered $50 refund, and claimed "they're not responsible for damage" ...what?! -counter top came with scratches and scuff marks which they claim wasn't from them. It was installed in a new home where no one was living, and I saw it the day it was installed. Was definitely them -caused a leak when they removed sink, did not alert me to the severity of leak nor make any attempt to resolve it, which resulted in water piling up in my cabinet for a full day and ruined the bottom cabinets. -did not caulk countertop, so unnecessary open spaces between wall and countertop -damaged brand new cabinetry, also denied that. Sent pictures for undeniable evidence. This company is sloppy and they do not take responsibility for their shoddy work. I cannot recommend this company to anyone considering countertop replacement.

Originally we had the plan to update the kitchen during the pandemic, Amy came to my house to have everything measured, use 3D software generate the 3D model, made sure everything aligned what we wanted. We didn't pull the trigger due to many factors. The year after, we called Amy again. She came to the house, did the measurement, did the 3D model. We backed out again. This year, we called Amy again. She didn't say anything. Came over again, did the 3D model. We paid the deposit. Finally we started the project. During this process, Amy shows her patience, professionalism and attention to the details. Once the demolition and installation started, everything was organized in such a nice, efficient, and less disturbing way. The demolition was done in a day, and every trash was picked. Amy's husband, Victor, came to the house, with his experience and knowledge, discussed every details I need to think through - We removed two parts of the kitchen area so it brought some variations. He provided the options, respected my choice, and of course, with his knowledge about house remodeling trend, to make sure I have well-educated information. With his experience and knowledge, it increase my kitchen countertop's functionality and usage area. I can't thank him enough for that. U Granites & Cabinets are high quality. If you are not familiar with that market, you will get lost - just like me walking into Home Depot to look at those prebuilt countertop and vanity. I like the cabinet's materials, how it built (those features I probably didn't really think about before). I started with the kitchen cabinets and countertops, extended to the bathroom's vanities . I am very happy about the decision, and much more appreciative what Amy, Victor and other staffs at U Granites & Cabinets More has provided. Victor did a huge favor to me by doing all kind of other jobs along the kitchen remodeling. I hired a general contractor who quoted me $14K for all demolition (kitchen and tiles) only. My total cost with U granite (Kitchen countertop, cabinets and demolition) is less than that number. Ultimately, the original flooring company agreed to replace the floor (so we only had to pay for the upgrade to LVP) but I cannot say enough nice things about Mike and Anchor. When the time comes to replace the carpeting, we will definitely go with Anchor!

Our rep didn't think through the job and asked the day of install about our baseboards then claimed it was a "client change" to the job. I didn't think of the baseboard situation as I don't do this for a living. There sales rep did not do enough due diligence guiding us through our vision. The wood floor itself is great and high quality but the rest was a nightmare. Don't have them do anything other than flooring - their light construction and painting is honestly incompetent and terrible. Lastly, new carpet for our family room. They upsold us a super plush pad then failed to write it up correctly. When I asked why the pad was not correct (after install) they acted like I'm a carpet pad expert and I ordered the blah blah blah 8 pound something or other. They were wrong, got it wrong, I opted not to PAY to fix it so I'll live with it, I guess. Overall, terrible experience but it could be the rep I got. Totally uncoordinated and a lack of communication for what we needed for this project. Very disappointed since we used Soleil as a referral from a friend.
