Besides a minor scheduling miscommunication, they were great!! The issue was they texted us to confirm for the next day at like 10pm the night before when we were already asleep, since we were asleep and did not confirm they didn't end up started on our agreed date. It felt like we were punished for bad planning on their part. But overall that wasn't a big issue--and was more of a lesson learned on my part to confirm myself if I don't hear from someone by a certain time. Besides that they did exactly what we wanted, and didn't pressure us to do anything else! We are diying our detached garage and just wanted to hire out the stuff we didn't want to do ourselves--which was hanging drywall on the ceiling and any electoral work! Since the original project, I have given Uriel and his crew many more projects around my house. What started as a simple wall has turned into an almost complete home remodel. Here's the best part of working with Uriel- has an entire team he has built through his years of experience in construction. He has an electrician- Marco- a plumber, and a team of helpers for drywall, painting, etc. It's a one stop shop. He has been able to complete everything we have asked of him. I am adding images to show the work of his electrician. Not only is it professional work, it is at a phenomenal rate. We added leds to our bar and changed every incandescent light in the house. Marco changed a total of 23 lights into new flat leds that look amazing. He also installed 4 fan fixtures, a fandelier and 2 light fixtures. We called Diaz remodeling to repair a wall that had been torn down due to water damage. Uriel Diaz the owner was very nice and polite, he does find Spanish to be easier to communicate but he was very responsive. He answered every text and call I made and was professional. Work: the work on the wall was really good and looks great. The workers were very nice and worked the whole time. Good texture on the walls that was hard to match and it was all done in one day. They charged $700 for the wall repair and texture which may have been a little steep but we needed it done and done well. My complaint was the workers did not clean up after themselves and we had trash in the room the wall was fixed in, there were marks on our sidewalk where they put the sheet rock and cut it. They were just didn't really clean up after themselves. They also cut the outlets to big and we had to go and buy new outlets to cover the edge and he charged us 20.00 for a small box they added in the wall for the cable. All in all we probably would use him again but we will make sure they clean up after they finish the work. Uriel came through and helped us when our previous general contractor left out job with our money and left half the work unfinished, including exposed walls, ceilings, and wiring. Uriel and his team helped us with framing and insulating new beams and plumbing from a new upstairs bathroom and finishing the walls to the new bathroom. Uriel was polite, responsive, and came back each time the city inspectors requested changes to the work. We were so happy with their work and passing the city inspection so we added other items from our remodel such as texturing new walls, assembly and installation of new shower kit, install vent to new bathroom exhaust fan, setting anchors for our kitchen island, and other small projects I'm sure I'm forgetting. His price is reasonable and doesn't take too much projects at once so he can balance his teams work and focus on yours. We recently had a problem with the (4 x 8) Hardi siding on our (2 story) house. The seal between a few of the panels had gone bad, and rain had apparently been getting behind a them for a while and was causing problems. Getting an estimate from a 'siding' company was nearly impossible, most would simply email that the job I quoted was 'too small'. One company did come and give an estimate, but to replace ALL the siding on the house (not something I was prepared to do for such a small (?) problem). After adjusting my search for remodeling companies, I did get a few responses. Uriel came out and reviewed what I needed. He also pointed out a few other potential problems that needed to be addressed (sooner of later, better sooner). After reviewing the estimates that I did get, Uriel's (Diaz Remodeling) estimate was by far the best. After delays for rain, His crew arrived early on the day scheduled, and kept going until dark. They had to work for about 4 full days (and the weather was getting down into the 40's) because I they needed to reseal the whole house and repaint it (it was needed, it's been at least 10 years that I know of, and probably another 10 before we purchased it).
