Hired these guys to do a tub to shower conversion, paint and flooring in a small bathroom. I paid for the composite walls (which were installed incorrectly using grout instead of the manufactures recommend adhesive which left a 1/4" gap between the sheetrock and shower walls and over 1" deep behind the walls. They did come back out and filled the gaps with caulk. (patch job) Job was bid to use hardie board as a shower backing to ceiling. Basically I got a patch job. Hardie was only used behind parts of the shower walls and the 33yr Sheetrock was left above the shower walls where the steam rises. They used a grout that clearly says (do NOT use in areas with constant water exposure). I think a shower qualifies as such. I got sick of calling the owner Jose for various blunders. I ended up removing the grout and used the manufacturer recommend 100% silicon. -Before you pay the 2nd payment make sure your job is done to satifaction- In hindsight I should've withheld the 2nd payment. But to do the job right they would've had to remove the shower walls and remove the grout ext ext ext. Basically start over and I was ready to be done with the nightmare. $7100 for a patch job was not expected. Couldn't use the shower for a month until I water sealed things properly. I gave two stars because the flooring looks good. read more

My husband and I recently hired Robles Remodeling to remodel our master bathroom and update the flooring throughout our 3 bedroom house. They came highly recommended by my in-laws that recently had some flooring upgrades. From start to finish, Robles Remodeling was exceptional. Jose was incredibly communicative, guiding us through each step and explaining all the details we hadn't considered. His knowledge and patience made the entire process smooth, and his estimate was by far the most fair out of all the quotes we received. We had tile in multiple areas that needed removal, and we chose engineered hardwood to replace all the flooring throughout the home. The only rooms we decided to tile was the guest bathroom and the laundry room which turned out great. Jose helped us select a stunning quartz countertop for the bathroom countertop as well as the surround for the new under-mount bathtub. The floor to ceiling tiled shower was absolutely stunning. Pictures do not do it justice. We went with Kohler brushed brass fixtures which they had a plumber come in to install. We provided the materials, and Robles Remodeling worked seamlessly with everything we supplied, offering helpful guidance along the way. In addition to the bathroom and flooring, Robles Remodeling transformed our kitchen lighting, replacing recessed lights with modern can lights, and removed a half wall between the breakfast area and living room. Their work was flawless; you would never guess there was ever a half wall or recessed lighting there before. Robles Remodeling worked incredibly efficiently and completed everything quickly and just in time for family to visit. We were so impressed that we decided to redo our backyard deck as well, Jose provided an estimate and had his team start right away. I cannot recommend Robles Remodeling enough! We were recommended Jose by a neighbor after our house flooded in a storm and we needed to get the ball rolling quickly to fix everything as we have a baby in the house. We went ahead had his team replace flooring in the back half of our house & redo our baseboards, fix the leaking window, replace a rotten door, and also decided to get new cabinet doors and refinish our cabinets. We had everything but the cabinets done in one job, and then the cabinets separately. Jose's guys were able to get the first half done very quickly. They put plastic around the rooms they were working on and kept the dust out of the rooms they weren't, and that was super helpful with us having a baby. While we were hoping to be able to stay while the doors were getting refinished, Jose was awesome at explaining to us why we needed to get out with the baby. Painting: the job took 3 days for all walls and trim. They removed all the door knobs and outlet covers, and it looked very clean and crisp at the end. I had nothing but a positive experience using Jose and his team for 2 5x7 bathroom remodels. As a lot of people have mentioned here, I received a few bids for the job, but Jose's in-person evaluation and estimate left the most favorable impression on me. I'm happy to say that dealing with Jose was the complete opposite, especially with regards to answering questions, covid precautions, protecting floors/walls, etc... Got a handful of quotes and consultations and was recommended Jose from a previous customer. He was the easiest to work with from the beginning. Straightforward communication and responsive. Him and his team were seriously amazing. Finished the job way ahead of schedule and worked very hard all day/staying late into the evening if needed. I am so blessed, lucky & happy that I was able to find Robles Remodeling , literally they saved my remodel project. I own a house right by the Domain which the bathrooms were in need of major TLC and I was taken advantage of by the first contractor who I had hired ( most horrible 6 weeks of my life working with that company) , and he had done a extremely poor job of my bathroom remodeling project- they didn't waterproof my bathroom walls at all & nothing was even. The second company I hired had to let them go, and then a third company we are still in dispute. I will rehire and refer Jose for any projects. I cannot applaud enough the efforts of Jose and his team for the work they did to completely remodel both of our bathrooms, the kitchen, as well as painted the exterior of the house. Both bathrooms and the kitchen were stuck in the late 1970s, and nothing short of a complete redo would make us enjoy looking at them. In both bathrooms Jose and team removed the tub/shower combo and built wonderful walk in showers. They also added more lighting in both bathrooms. The tile work and attention to detail was immaculate and the end result was a more modern and spacious look to both bathrooms, which were previously very dark and cramped. The kitchen required a lot more work, as it involved raising the ceiling and moving a wall. Prior to Jose's work you entered my kitchen from the garage by first going through the utility room. Both the utility room and the kitchen were very tiny and cramped. The kitchen was already small, which was made worse because of a furr down ceiling. My goal was to make a new utility room in an open, unused space in my garage and use the current space to expand the kitchen. We now have a larger utility room, and more importantly we have a much more open and bright kitchen. To set expectations, Jose and his team are there to do the work you ask them to do. They are not there to pick out tiles, cabinets, et cetera. I personally preferred that, but if you are one that you need someone to do all the shopping for you then you may want to look elsewhere. Jose will, though, provide you a very detailed list of the items you need to order--tile square footage, fixtures, lighting, trim, et cetera. For the cabinets and counter tops we went with http://www.ugranitesandcabinetsmore.com, and could not have been happier. I am so happy to have found Jose. He and his team were incredibly reliable, very respectful, and accommodating. The latter point is important, as invariably there may be a slight modification you may want or they may suggest. My final point. Cost. Jose's prices are incredibly competitive relative to other contractors. He provided me a very clear bid and did not deviate or try to nickle and dime me. I will absolutely reach out to Jose for any other projects, as well as refer him to anyone who needs work done on their home.
