We recently completed a significant backyard project with Together Design & Build and had a great experience. They rebuilt our aging deck and added some landscaping as well as a pavilion for an outdoor kitchen. During the design phase they took their time to get to know us and understand how we wanted to use the space. Once the project started the crews onsite were skilled and very easy/nice to work with. The communication was good and they sent daily updates. They tried their best to keep a clean worksite throughout which was much appreciated. Because of the scope of the project we had a few hiccups along the way but our project manager, Sahar, was always ready to work with us to make things right. We enjoyed working with them so much we went ahead and had them redo our siding on the entire house as well and were pleased with the outcome. I highly recommend Sahar and his team, they were a pleasure to work with! read more

[UPDATE TO THE BELOW REVIEW: This evening (Dec. 2nd) I received a call from Ido the owner, which I found highly offensive as it came after Ido reported that I lied about my experience to the BBB. The owner refuses to take responsibility in public, while sending nicer emails in private and trying to phone . . . this is /deception/ on a stick. You do not say one thing in public and in private say "I didn't really mean that." Ido is upset this negative review and would like it gone, but is unwilling to apologize or be truthful. I'll be updating all my social media reviews according. You'll notice that there are a sudden rash of bad reviews, not just from me. Do business with this guy at your risk.] I have tried to use this company twice. Both times, appointments were easy to set-up and Maria (not sure how to spell her name) was kind, helpful, and lovely. I had a minor flood and needed a company to work with my home insurance for the repairs. "Together Design" was one of four contractors I consulted, all with excellent reviews here and on Google. Avri the project manager was courteous and helpful, and was the last estimate I needed for the insurance company. I waited some weeks, but an estimate never came. I finally called the Avri's phone number on the caling card he cave me (I think I woke him up, sounded groggy at first). Avri said that my expectation for an estimate was misguided, and that he's being doing this job for quite a while. He said that the way "Together Design" works is that they only provided an estimate once I hired them. I said this is backwards, that I am to receive estimates and select the company I felt comfortable with in consultation with my adjuster. Avri stared to make excuses, none of which addressed my concern--that to consider them, I needed an estimate. I found his customer service quite rude: he kept cutting me off, he would not listen, he was defensive, made excuses, and so on. He stressed his experience, to which I responded three other contractors have already provided estimates and I was waiting for his. Avri said estimate-first is not how they do business, but he would get an estimate to my adjuster ASAP anyway. After a few days without an estimate, I went with another contractor. Maria called to follow up, and I told her my issues. She asked if I could give them another chance, I said not at the time, as time was of the essence and I needed the work to start yesterday. Disappointing, but I was ready to move on. Flash forward five months later, and I haired a crooked contractor who I am now unfortunately suing (cannot review them yet until that suit moves forward). I remembered Maria asking if I could give them another chance, so I decided to call again. Like the first time, communication was clear, easy, and Maria was very easy to work with. I was asked if I wanted to work with Avri again, and I said absolutely not given how poorly he handed the first time. Days later, however, I received a phone call and Maria said she was "calling with news." After she shared with the project managers my videos and photographs, they concluded my "scope" of my project was "not a good fit." I asked if it was "too small" or "two large" of a job. She said, "uhhhh . . . legally I can't say." I found this quite odd. She apologized, expressed wanting to help, but it was not something they are willing to do. I asked again why, and she would not say. Perhaps it was because I did /not/ want to work with Avri, but another PM. As I was about to post this review, I received a message from "Ido" who said their company /only/ takes on remodels from "start to finish." This was the first I have heard this excuse, it's certainly not mentioned in their advertising. If this were truly the case, I should have been told this upfront so I did not waste my time again. Maria asked I give them a second chance, and I did. This is a private business, and it's their right to turn down any client. Absolutely. It's also my right to report my experience. I'm trying to be careful not to be too judgement, but not being "legally" able to tell me why they wouldn't take the job the second time appears deceitful, as does "Ido's" explanation they /now/ only do start-to-finish remodels. Your milage may vary. read more

My elderly parent's water heater leaked and made a mess in their laundry room and garage. They called Together Design & Build and Avri, the project manager, came right out. Avri was able to get them scheduled right away. He kept them informed every step of the process. Avri did a great job! Jose was our contractor. It only took him a few days to complete the job. He really took his time and did an excellent job. I would highly recommend Together Design & Build. They were prompt, professional, and the price was fair. Magnificent gut renovation of two bathrooms for our parent's Austin home!!! The reviews are all absolutely real and correct! We searched online for a company and thought a company could not be that perfect-- but after research and experiencing it-- they definitely deserve perfection in their reviews. We are based out of NY and wanted to do renovations for a Texas home. TDB was willing and capable to take on the task. We had a rocky start with our first designer. That's when the owner, Roi, stepped in and took care of our project with utmost care and professionalism. We communicated through Whatsapp-- which is preferred to communicate through text or pictures since we can handle phone calls all day given our jobs. Their design store, crystal communication between our parents and us-- made the project seamless. They are extremely meticulous in their renovation process-- updating us daily as to the progress. Waterproofing, shower/tub installation, fixture installing, design advice-- all spot on. No corners were cut and Roi made sure we were completely satisfied. Our parent's have used these bathrooms for the past 9 months and they love their bathrooms. Sorry Roi for the late review. But it's been on our minds for months and you and your team deserve all the online accolades for your work! read more

We worked with Together Design & Build Austin on a full kitchen remodel and had a great experience from start to finish. The project was well organized, stayed on schedule, and the quality of work was excellent. The design team was a huge part of what made this project successful. They were creative, attentive, and really listened to our needs, helping us choose layouts, materials, and finishes that made the kitchen both beautiful and functional. Their guidance made the entire decision-making process easy and enjoyable. Our project manager, Roi, was professional, responsive, and very detail-oriented. I could not have asked for a better experience during our Primary Bath remodel! The project manager, Roi, was on top of everything - helped us understand the ins and outs of a remodel, managed subcontractors, and helped us make the right decisions for our bath. He answered my endless questions and was in credit responsive. Our primary contractor, Roberto, was THE BEST. He worked long hours, verified all decisions with me, and always had a smile. Unfortunately, he had a tragic death in the family before our job was completed. But Roi got another crew here with just 48 hour delay. And Roberto had been back to see the final product! Ido, you raised a valid point in my review and the primary Spanish speaking trades people that were assigned to our project. They were hardworking and did their best. However, whenever they had a question they would interrupt me and try to ask questions. Unfortunately, I am not fluent in Spanish and that was a problem. There was no one here for them to communicate with easily. We would attempt to use Google translator and it was a tough situation. Having to work remote as my company had not returned to office due to Covid, there were a lot of interruptions. People take the easy route... We raised this issue with Roi on multiple occasions and it just remained a problem. Last point... Quite simply, quality stands the test of time and that isn't our experience from your project oversight. Also, it hasn't been over two years as we just signed off on the completion certificate August 10, 2023. We can see baseboards that didn't have any caulking, but were simply painted and now you can see the separation from the wall. Nail holes were not properly filled and painters didn't want to properly prepare surfaces prior to painting. There's more, but I'll leave it at that. In short, our position remains the same regarding my review other than the clarification regarding the Spanish speaking. No need to contact us further regarding this topic. read more

Together Design & Build remodeled our home. We bought our house with original cabinets, ugly flooring, and popcorn ceilings. Our remodel turned our 1980s house into a modern home that I'm proud to show off. From the beginning, Ido and Kevin were communicative, providing us with frequent updates on the status of the project. During the project, we were presented with small inexpensive changes that would improve the safety of our home and increase the value. They also helped us make choices that would help create the look we were going for. These were all things as a first-time homeowner that I never would have thought of. Who knew how important baseboards could be to your home? Not me, but Kevin and Ido do. I was highly satisfied with our experience. We were able to move back home early and the team was thoughtful when coming back to finish any small jobs. read more

My wife and I had our 2 bathrooms remodeled. We had a handful of contractors over to our house to do a walk through and it was clear from pretty early on that Avi with Together Design & Build was the right choice. He was great to work with and open to our ideas and always there to make suggestions along the way. One of the most important characteristics in a contractor is good communication. Avi was stellar in his communication. We had a text thread on What's App and Avi did an amazing job with updates and answering any questions I had along the way. Overall, it was a pretty smooth process. I would highly recommend you reach out to Together Design & Build for any of your renovation needs. We are very happy with the way both bathrooms turned out. I know that Avi will be the first person I contact whenever we are ready to update our kitchen. read more

We worked with 'Together Design & Build' for a kitchen refresh--repainted the cabinets, got a new countertop, and a new backsplash. They were professional and caught details that other contractors we were talking to missed, they were also not being pushy to us into making decisions, which made us comfortable to start with. Our project manager Sahar was good at his job. I was out of town for a bit, but he kept the updates coming with photos and texts. We spotted a few minor paint issues near the end, but they got sorted out quickly, no questions asked. Sahar even went the extra mile, helping us install a bathroom vanity and mount a TV, tying together the whole first floor. The kitchen looks good, and we're happy with how everything turned out. We'd definitely recommend them for any home improvement jobs. read more

Together Design and Build helped us breathe new life into our first floor by helping us refresh our kitchen, including: repainting cabinets/the kitchen island, painting walls, replacing countertops/backsplash/sink/faucet, and more. Sahar, our project manager, was a consistent and honest presence throughout the project. The bid was a fair price and the contracting process was straightforward and honest. I never felt rushed during the pre- or post-sales process. We brought a clear vision for what we wanted and Sahar and his design team helped us make small but impactful tweaks to get the most out of our kitchen refresh project. Sahar's experience and attention to detail really came through. I also really appreciated how Sahar and the team looked for ways to leave our home's infrastructure better than they found it, including updating some plumbing and electrical work for safety and longevity. Throughout the process, Sahar was extremely communicative on progress and budget. And when there were some touchups we requested, he got them done. The professional cleaning at the end was top-notch as well. We're already starting to think about other remodeling projects around the house and Together Design & Build will be the first people we call. Highly recommend. read more

We've got prior experience with other contractors ranging from pretty good to awful (abandoned project and ghosted us). Together Design and Build picked up where the awful one left off and completely turned our project around. They overcame a number of obstacles that were the result of the subpar work of the previous contractor and gave us the master suite we've dreamed of for years. The job included complex plumbing, electrical, floor and ceiling repair, floor leveling, carpet and baseboards, insulation, outdoor siding repair, installation of a vanity and fixtures, and numerous other odds and ends. The previous contractor cut joists to accommodate plumbing and TDB brought in an engineer to ensure the joists were repaired safely. We were so happy with their work that we nearly immediately hired them to refresh our son's bedroom and now we're looking forward to hiring them again when we're ready to tackle another major renovation we're planning that will include another bedroom w/ on-suite bathroom, major roof repair, and extending the roof to create a large outdoor seating area by our pool. We had already been working with our own interior designer, but TDB has a designer on staff and they have a nice office where you can browse cabinets, flooring, fixtures, etc. It's a nice place. Sahar was our project manager and it's hard to express what an absolute pleasure it is to have him on your team. He diligently kept the project moving forward and always kept us informed. He cares deeply about taking care of you and his level of ownership is off the charts. As should be expected some things required a little iteration and we always ended up with a great result. I don't know the names of everyone who worked on our project, but I would like to thank Sahar, Jose, Cliff, Pili, Ido, and everyone else who worked on our project. Y'all are awesome! If you want a company that will do a great job for a reasonable price in a reasonable time frame, and be a pleasure to work with then you should hire Together Design and Build. We absolutely love our new kitchen! When we decided to remodel, we had no idea where to start. After reading the reviews online, we contacted Together Design & Build. I highly recommend Together Design & Build to anyone looking for remodeling services. I worked with Ido in spring of 2021 to complete a down-to-the-studs master bathroom remodel, and the process and results exceeded my expectations. During the initial consultation, Ido was able to provide us with the step-by-step breakdown of the work that needed to be done as well as a rough timeline of how long it would take to complete the project. In addition to being knowledgeable about every step of the process, he promised us a bid that evening and delivered upon it. The quick turnaround in the estimate made Together Design & Build already a front runner! In terms of pricing, I was very satisfied with the cost of my remodel. I received 4 bids when looking for my contractor. Ido's estimated labor costs were lower than what I expected and significantly lower than what competitors were offering (with longer timelines), so choosing Together Design & Build was a no brainer. All-in-all, I spent ~30K on my entire remodel and was able to achieve the luxury spa look of my dreams! During the remodel, Ido communicated very frequently with me and ensured that I knew what was happening on a daily basis. The plumbers and electricians he hired were always prompt and available to make changes with short notice, which help move the project along. We had a great experience with his team. Lastly, Roberto, the contractor who completed the labor, was exceptional. His craftsmanship was unparalleled, and his attention to detail elevated the bathroom tremendously. He was extremely easy to work with, friendly, and very communicative, which made us feel at ease throughout the whole process. I had an amazing experience with Together Design & Build and highly recommend the team if you're in the market for a remodel that makes your house feel like a home. read more

I contracted Together Design and Build (TDB) to remodel my kitchen and master bathroom. This was my first remodel ever, so I was anxious and nervous. Ido and Avi were great to work with. After not so great experience with a previous contractor we were very picky with finding a contractor for our full bathroom remodel/plumbing relocation/extension. While others came in with high pressure sales tactic Ido instead gave great feedback on the plan, and ideas on how to make it better without putting pressure on us. After having spoken with half a dozen contractors came out as the clear winner. After getting a competitive quote we looked at different things to make the right choice and everything was correct with Together Design & Build We started picking materials a few weeks before the project and Ido was a great help with tile selection. He made sure we were aware of the project start date and everything that he needed to start. With all of the materials on hand we started the project on time. Originally the project was supposed to take ~3weeks, but we finished at 4 weeks, but it was ok due to rotten wood we found when the wall was removed, Ido replaced it without asking any extra charge that Which is not obvious from contractor perspective. During the project the workers were diligent, polite, and very respectful. They kept the worksite very clean and were responsive to any issues that brought up. Any minor issue we had was immediately taken care of! While construction is a messy and painful business, "Together" took a lot of the pain out of the process! I would have to be very nit picky to find things that I would complain about the process with "Together" and Ido. read more

Our experience with Together Design and Build has been wonderful. Ido's first walk through gave me confidence this company was top notch and it is. TDB did a whole house reno for us. They removed walls, completely redesigned our kitchen and primary bath, and renovated the 2nd bath. TDB touched every surface in our house and made it exactly what we wanted. Kevin Peña was our foreman. He is the best. He has a magic touch- everything he does is perfect. He works clean and does exactly what he says he will. He is kind and patient. He listens to your concerns, and asks questions to get everything exactly as you want it to be. As the GC, Ido was extremely knowledgeable and helped to guide us through each step. He made helpful suggestions and knew when to step back and let me make design choices. Ido was great in dealing with the city and permitting processes. I didn't have to worry about any aspect of this project. I would absolutely hire TDB again- especially if Kevin could be our foreman. read more

Together Design and Build is dishonest. All the images on their website are stolen off the internet. Here is one example: https://togetherdesignbuild.com/portfolio/kiley-project/ https://www.thespruce.com/creative-bathroom-organizing-ideas-4586703 This is not their project. Every image on there can be found on multiple websites through a Google reverse image search. I would recommend hiring the contractors they used for our project directly who did excellent work - GNZ Builders. They did not pay GNZ Builders the full amount owed and told blatant lies to get out of it. We had several issues with Design & Build that we were not happy with--they forgot to take a few measurements which resulted in us not having enough tile. They were very slow to get the materials to the contractors, so our quoted 3 week project that they thought would really only last 2 weeks dragged on for almost a full month. They somehow do not include glass as part of their estimate. We did a bathroom remodel with a shower stall, so glass was an essential part of the bathroom. They did bring up that the glass would be need to be done by a "separate company" but we thought this would mean they are using different contractors for that portion. I am still baffled how a remodeling company can not include this and claim their work is completed when we have a shower that we are unable to use at the end of the project. The last day of the job, they said the work was finished. We called out some issues we saw that night and requested they be fixed. The ventilation fan that was installed had no duct and vented directly into the attic. One of the door trims was not the correct length. The contractor told us upfront that he let TD&B know about it and they told him to just cut a small piece off some other door trim and put it together, which of course looked sloppy, but they would not pay to purchase the correct size. Some things needed caulking and a transition piece needed to be glued down again, but those weren't major. The next day one of the owners (Roi) comes over to fix the issues, but has a contractor with him who we had never seen before. We thought this was weird since the same 2 men were consistently working on our bathroom for the past month, but we shrugged it off. Once the work was completed, Roi told us they would waive the final payment as a gesture of goodwill since we were unhappy about some things and the work took longer than expected. We had been satisfied with the original contractors (GNZ Builders) and had previously gotten their business card so we could hire them directly for more work. We got in contact with them after the remodel was finished and learned that Together Design & Build had told them we said we were unhappy with the work they did and were refusing to make the final payment, so they would not be get paid the full amount agreed upon. In order to try and prevent GNZ from getting in touch with us, Roi and Ido (other owner) said we were threatening to call the cops on them. (!!!!) We talked at length with the owner of GNZ Builders and learned so many lies that were told to each of us. The issue with the vent fan had been called out, but GNZ said it would be an extra cost for them to do that, so Design & Build was happy to just let the air blow into the attic. When we had brought the issue up, Roi acted like he had just forgotten to bring over the duct that was needed to vent the air outside. He and Ido told GNZ that we weren't satisfied and they didn't do all the necessary work (citing things like the door trim) and used it as an excuse to pay them less. I am so angry these frauds got any of our money and disgusted they have been able to run their business like this. There is no doubt in my mind that they have been lying and cheating contractors out of money for years. read more

I had a great experience working with Ido and the crew at Together Design & Build! They converted an open space in my home to an enclosed office space with french doors and a transom window. The costs were very reasonable compared to the other quotes I received and the quality of work was fantastic. I knew I wanted a window, but wasn't sure where or how to source it. Ido gave me some ideas and then called me back to say he'd thought of it some more and had an even better idea that was actually the easiest & quickest to source (having a piece of glass custom cut and installed vs. an actual window in a very particular size). The purchase of the window and door were my responsibility to get the project started, but I really appreciated the guidance there. Ido AND the 2-person crew that worked on my project were extremely polite and very good at communicating every step of the way and making sure I was happy with the progress and had a chance to weigh in on any decisions along the way. For example, when they installed the pre-hung door I purchased, the gap between the bottom of the door was on the big side and they thought to check in with me before moving onto the next step and ended up adjusting it a few times until it was just right. Overall, I'm very happy with the results and would work with Together Design & Build again - it looks like the door/window were part of the original home build, which was my goal! read more

Ido's crew did a great job remodeling our kitchen, powder room and master bathroom - refer to before and after pics. I am very detail oriented and Ido was very responsive and took responsibility when I had issues & questions. Unlike another contractor, Ido was fair and took ownership if any minor issue arised during the remodel so he was very easy to work with (other contractor Austin Painting & Cabinets who refused to own issues arising from their work & threatened to sue us if we write any negative reviews). In hindsight, we should have only worked with Ido and not given the cabinet bookshelve painting to Austin Painting & Cabinet. Its very hard to find an honest, fair contractor these days. My wife and I purchased a home over the summer and decided almost immediately we wanted to remodel the master bathroom to give it a more modern look and a spa feel. We decided to go with TDB and Avi and are very happy with the outcome as his team delivered a beautiful bathroom. First in using TDB, we were very involved in the entire remodel process. We described what we wanted and Avi took us to different places to get quality materials at good prices. We described what we were looking for (vanity, tile, vanity top, etc.) and Avi took us to places where we could get good deals on the materials. He advised us on the things we should purchase through Amazon as well. After we purchased most of what was needed for the job, Avi's team got to work. I developed a very detailed budget for the project, but there were small things I did not account for in the job which caused my estimate to be off by about 15%. The bathroom looks amazing. His team was very professional and did outstanding quality work from start to finish. The tile work Gerber did in the bathroom is amazing. The detail and craftsmanship was amazing. QUALITY work. The team was very efficient and, if not for the holidays, would have completed the job in 3 weeks. We did have a few days where there was confusion on the start time of the crew, but we worked through it. We are glad we did the remodel. The bathroom looks amazing. We look forward to relaxing in our bathroom/ spa for years to come. read more

We would highly recommend Together Design & Build because we're happy with their work and trust them. The team are professionals all the way. Ido and his team were responsive, dedicated, and detailed. They worked in a short amount of time under strict constraints to do an extensive remodel of our house, which included the following: inside/outside paint, complete demo and remodel of master bath, complete demo and remodel of powder room, and remodel of kitchen. At each stage of the project, which consisted of several phases, we were given time to review and give feedback on how we felt about the work and construction. If we weren't happy, Ido and the team would re-work and detail out any issues until we were satisfied. This didn't happen often. But Ido's primary goal was our satisfaction. Also, Ido was communicative and helpful during all phases of the project: demo, design, material selection, and construction. He walked us through all the requirements and was in constant contact with us. We talked and messaged daily. Ido and team were patient with us through the entire project, even when we added additional projects to the scope. Remodeling a home can be extremely stressful and frustrating, especially while you're living in your home! It's important to partner with people that you can trust and with people that will be patient with you. We feel like we built that trust with Ido, his team, and Together Design & Build; we also know that they can patiently guide you from beginning to end. They've earned our business for future projects. read more

I do not believe Together Design and Build to be an honest and ethical company. There were lies from the beginning. Said they do 100% of the work in house, when in fact they subcontract out the actual work, which I know is normal and fine, but it was just the start of many lies. The company doing the actual work (GNZ Builders) was great. GNZ Builders later told us that TDaB tried to bully them in to wearing TDaB shirts to keep up the appearance of all being from the came company. The only useful thing TDaB did themselves was help us select tile that would look good and work with our space. The time line given by TDaB for the project was not clearly communicated in that they never stated until nearing the end that the time (and the work) of getting glass installed for the shower was not included in their "project time", as it would have to be done by another company. This was never communicated to us at the beginning. However, not even counting extra time for the glass, their portion of the project took almost twice as long as what they first told us. The contractors advised us that TDaB was not always delivering materials on time to the them, either because they did not order correct amounts or order them on time. TDaB lied about this and blamed the contractors for being slow. In a rush to finally finish, they cut loose the contractors before the finishing touches were done, but told us it was completed. I fully believe they would have left things unfinished and just hoped we wouldn't notice. After pointing it out, they brought on a new contractor to wrap those things up. They lied to the original contractors claiming that we didn't want them to return and they also used this as an excuse to not fully pay the contractors. In looking at their other reviews, I see that they have left themselves positive reviews. They have not been doing business in Austin for the 5+ years as they claim. Their website was registered earlier this year, and all their reviews, which seem suspicious to me, are from this year. The project photos featured on their website are easily found in various other places on the internet and are clearly not their own work, yet in our initial meeting with TDaB, they stated that the photos were all from their own projects. They have previously run companies in Florida and California, and now here. Research their names, previous company names, and who is leaving positive reviews - you will find some interesting patterns. read more

We hired Together Design & Build to remodel our kitchen. We interviewed multiple contractors for this project but were very impressed with Ido. Ido gave us a reasonable timeline, competitive quote and some brilliant ideas which we didn't even think about. Throughout the project, he was available to advise and helps us get the kitchen of our dreams. The entire process went great and we love our new kitchen. Highly recommend them for any remodeling needs. read more
