Pollyanna A.

Our kitchen is a picture of absolute perfection - thanks for Alex and his team! He did an amazing job and went above and beyond to make sure everything - absolutely everything, was perfect and to our liking. I was in awe of his attention to detail, the care he showed from the beginning of the process to the very end and the precision with which everything was executed. A+ indeed!!! Here is the whole story for those interested: We are in the process of bringing our whole house into the 21st century and we decided to start with the hardest, but probably most exciting - our kitchen. It took several months for us to come up with the design and pick the cabinets. We knew we would most likely pick IKEA cabinets as they are about the only place in town that offers great modern-looking cabinets. We looked at Lowes, Home Depot and Cabinets to Go, just to check them off the list and decided to go with IKEA in the end, just as we thought we would. Another reason we went with IKEA was because they offer an online kitchen planning tool where you can do your layout and see how everything fits and IKEA will even verify your plan and create a shopping list for you so you order everything that's needed. We also liked IKEA's price transparency - you make your plan, you pick your cabinets and the program calculates the total price of your kitchen for you. We even thought we would get the countertop there and have everything installed by IKEA, to make the process super easy and simple. So once we designed the kitchen, picked our cabinets and were ready to move forward with installation, it turned out not everything was that simple. IKEA told us that we would not be able to get what we wanted because they hardly do any customizations - they don't cut cabinets, they don't cut doors, they wouldn't put a panel we wanted on one of the kitchen walls and they wouldn't even adjust an insert for a 12" cabinet to have one shelf instead of two! And every time we talked to an IKEA rep they told us a different thing! We were getting frustrated and after several weeks of trying to make adjustments and make compromises, we decided that we need to go with plan B - find someone else to install our kitchen. While starting looking for someone else, I remembered that one of my friends, who had her kitchen done recently, highly recommended Aplus. I found the phone number and called. I left a message and Alex promptly returned my call. He came over that same week to look at the space and I immediately had a good feeling about him. I emailed him the kitchen plan and he provided a quote a few days later. The quote was comparable to IKEA price-wise, but we were getting everything we wanted and more, so I told Alex that we, of course, are going to pick APlus! Installation was very smooth and I felt like it was more of a collaboration than a hired contractor doing an installation. I told Alex that there were some things I was not sure about and wanted to see how each version would look before deciding on the final one and Alex was more than happy to accommodate and he provided lots of invaluable advice, too. He also provided extra services per our request. We wanted to install laminate on all three walls in the kitchen to serve as backsplash and when I told him that I had trouble finding someone to do it, he agreed to install it and it looks perfect! He also installed the exhaust hood - and it's perfect, of course. I tell you - we would hire Alex to do EVERYTHING he would agree to do with the rest of the remodel - that's how much we trust him and appreciate the quality of his work. I know I am going to sound very sentimental when I say this, but I truly feel that he is a rare gem that we were lucky to find. The love and care he puts into his work is absolutely priceless!

Ikea kitchen with Semihandmade doors.

Their work is honestly perfection and the prices are more than fair. Andrei was super patient with my many questions and helpful in getting me a tall cabinet I was missing to finish off the rest of my IKEA kitchen cabinets. They are super busy so anyone planning a kitchen should get in touch early in the process. My installers, Andrei and Marcus, were always on time and so polite. This mighty team of 2 completed entire kitchen install within 3 days, always cleaned up all the debris and dust at the end of the day and even helped me find a butcher block substitute when the IKEA ones I bought didn't work. They handled the Semihandmade doors with ease too. Marcus gave me a detailed walk through after they were done. I had some trouble scheduling for them to return for some additional new work - additional doors and butcher block which I ended up getting someone else - so just be aware of planning timelines if you need them to come back to additional work.

Kitchen cabinet installation

We just wrapped up our kitchen remodel and found Andrei through Yelp. We definitely recommend them! We ordered our cabinets online (not Ikea) and didn't trust ourselves to install. We contacted Andrei for a quote and he was quick to respond (all communications were quick). He and his crew came out and literally worked all day for 3 days. There were no 3 hour breaks where the disappear. No late starts or early finishes. They worked hard! He said it would take 3 full days and it did. We needed to order 1 extra piece of crown moulding and Andrei was nice enough to come back out and install at a later time. I was skeptical about how well it would look since their price was so reasonable. But the kitchen looks fantastic and we really appreciate all their hard work!

We had Andrei and his team come out to install our IKEA cabinets in our laundry spaces. It was a 3 day install as promised. We have had some pretty poor experiences with contractors recently, so Andrei was a breath of fresh air! They showed up right on time every day and worked diligently throughout the day. They put in an 8 to 9 hour day, every day. We were expecting some basic looking cabinets since we went the budget route, IKEA. But no! They know how to make these cabinets look great and super custom. We were surprised that they cut them to fit on the baseboards just right, cut space for outlets, and put the fillers in flush against the walls. Everything looks so amazing! These are now my favorite rooms in our new home. :) These guys will go above and beyond!

Dishwasher Panels!

Order Cliqstudio Cabinets for Client's new kitchen and also Ikea + Semihandmade for kitchenette. Highly recommened! They are fantastic, super professional and always great with communication and texting and scheduling. We had some delayed cabinets and appliance panels and they were so patient and worked with us. Attached some pics! Thank you!

I can't say enough good things about Andrei and APlus Cabinetry. We hired them for our kitchen reno and the entire experience was great. They demo'd our old cabinets and appliances and even took everything to Habitat for Humanity to be salvaged. They installed our new Ikea cabinets and our upgraded Semihandmade cabinet fronts as well as hardware and appliances. And they moved some plumbing around. Andrei and his team were always on time and took a lot of pride in doing really great work. I strongly recommend him to anybody. His prices are reasonable and transparent, and he's honest and a great communicator.

Custom closet

I was really impressed with Andrei, Slav, and the rest of the crew at APlusCabinetry! They turned our custom design for a master closet that was sketched on paper into a 3D design and then into the real thing. It turned out exactly as the 3D model showed ... no surprises, high quality work, and installed on time! We are very happy with the results and would highly recommend them.

Met with Nate in about a built in desk and a built in entertainment center in December and he told me he was booked 2-3weeks out. I said, sure no problem, we can handle it in January. Come mid January, he tells me he needs more time. I say sure. Come February I reach out and no answer. Called, emailed and texted, still no answer (mind you I had already given 50% down to him). Finally after not hearing from him for almost 3 weeks he responded and saying he was just getting started on building the cabinets. It's now mid-March and he finally got to installing the units. But don't expect him to arrive at the time he says. He was consistently 2-3 hours late to the time he promised to be here (which required us to adjust work schedules). First day he arrived at 2:30pm after saying he would be here at noon and then had to come back on a Sunday because he couldn't finish it all in one day. Now that's just the communications part, as for the quality of the work. I have been very disappointed. I had asked for a 1.5" wood top on my desk. After install I've noticed it's a single 3/4" plywood top with an additional 3/4" plywood strip on the front to make it look like it's 1.5". Not only that but because it's plywood there are obvious seams on the desktop. And the front is covered with a veneer which bubbled in multiple places and even though he came to glue it back down still does not look great. There are seams in multiple places where he could have easily gone with a full piece of dimensional lumber instead. There are screws protruding on the side of the cabinets which are the only sides that face out so would have expected the screws to be hidden. He left part of one of the tops uneven, even though I brought to his attention before the painters came, so he had to come back out and fix it and the painters had to come back out and fix the paint again. Also when he put in the shelves after the paint (because he didn't have the shelf pins and had to order from amazon), he scratched up the paint pretty badly in pretty obvious places. I've worked in construction as my dad was a contractor and I fully understand things happen or sometimes things don't work out as planned but for the price I paid I would have expected much higher quality and less chasing to get this completed.

Unfortunately, the post-project payment process left a very bad impression. After the job was completed, I was told that final payment was required within 24 hours because of a clause on the completion form I signed at the end of the project. This requirement was never clearly communicated beforehand when we agreed to move forward with the work. In my experience, most contractors invoice with reasonable payment terms (for example a few days or a week), so being told after the work was finished that payment had to be made within 24 hours felt unexpected and unnecessarily confrontational. What was disappointing wasn't the payment itself -- I fully intended to pay -- but the tone and approach in the follow-up messages. It made the interaction feel more focused on collecting money immediately than maintaining a positive customer relationship. Again, the workmanship was good, but the way the payment issue was handled unfortunately overshadowed an otherwise solid experience.

We wanted to update our kitchen to be more modern and decided to 1) replace new countertops, 2) paint cabinets white, 3) install new backsplash and 4) paint interior. I didn't want to spent a lot of money and get brand new cabinets since mine are fairly new. Austin Painting and Cabinet specializes in painting your existing cabinets to look new. They did a really good job and far exceeded my expectation. The areas they excelled included * Price - The price was very reasonable for the quality of work you're getting. I compared countertop pricing with JL Cabinets. JL initial quote was 2K cheaper but that's just an estimated price before you select your countertop. After we decided on the countertop, JL ended up being 2K more expensive. Tylers price was similar even after selecting countertop, meaning Tyler initial estimate is based on higher quality countertop whereas JL low ball. * Quality - My cabinets had knotty holes to make it looks rustic. Tylers team had to fill all the holes and sand to smooth all the cabinet prior to painting. I was scared that painting would look cheap. However, these guys specialize in cabinet painting. Their work is high quality. The end result was much better than expected. The cabinet finish was as smooth as butter. There are definitely cheaper options out there but you pay for what you get. Anyone can paint, but what Austin Painting and Cabinet excel in is spending lots of time prepping to ensure the paint looks high end. In addition to cabinet work, we had the living area painted. They covered and taped up every inch of the house to ensure paint didn't spread anywhere. The attention to detail is unmatched which shows in their final work product. * Communication - Tyler responded to all text and kept me up to date on the project. He was on time, every time, as well as his crew. I'm very happy with result and recommend Austin Cabinet and Painting to anyone who wants to update their Kitchen.

U granites & Cabinets More's product and service are so much beyond my expectations. Originally we had the plan to update the kitchen during the pandemic, Amy came to my house to have everything measured, use 3D software generate the 3D model, made sure everything aligned what we wanted. We didn't pull the trigger due to many factors. The year after, we called Amy again. She came to the house, did the measurement, did the 3D model. We backed out again. This year, we called Amy again. She didn't say anything. Came over again, did the 3D model. We paid the deposit. Finally we started the project. During this process, Amy shows her patience, professionalism and attention to the details. Once the demolition and installation started, everything was organized in such a nice, efficient, and less disturbing way. The demolition was done in a day, and every trash was picked. Amy's husband, Victor, came to the house, with his experience and knowledge, discussed every details I need to think through - We removed two parts of the kitchen area so it brought some variations. He provided the options, respected my choice, and of course, with his knowledge about house remodeling trend, to make sure I have well-educated information. With his experience and knowledge, it increase my kitchen countertop's functionality and usage area. I can't thank him enough for that. U Granites & Cabinets are high quality. If you are not familiar with that market, you will get lost - just like me walking into Home Depot to look at those prebuilt countertop and vanity. I like the cabinet's materials, how it built (those features I probably didn't really think about before). I started with the kitchen cabinets and countertops, extended to the bathroom's vanities . I am very happy about the decision, and much more appreciative what Amy, Victor and other staffs at U Granites & Cabinets More has provided. Victor did a huge favor to me by doing all kind of other jobs along the kitchen remodeling. I tell you, that's another level experience and knowledge from him about house remodeling and how to have those done correctly, effectively and cost-efficiently. Cost wise, I gave you my example. I hired a general contractor who quoted me $14K for all demolition (kitchen and tiles) only. My total cost with U granite (Kitchen countertop, cabinets and demolition) is less than that number. If you come across this shop and this review, I highly recommended at least give Amy a call or stop by at their shop to check out their offering. Quoted me $5/sq ft for removal. -cracked my backsplash and only offered $50 refund, and claimed "they're not responsible for damage" ...what?! -counter top came with scratches and scuff marks which they claim wasn't from them. It was installed in a new home where no one was living, and I saw it the day it was installed. Was definitely them -caused a leak when they removed sink, did not alert me to the severity of leak nor make any attempt to resolve it, which resulted in water piling up in my cabinet for a full day and ruined the bottom cabinets. -did not caulk countertop, so unnecessary open spaces between wall and countertop -damaged brand new cabinetry, also denied that. Sent pictures for undeniable evidence. This company is sloppy and they do not take responsibility for their shoddy work. I cannot recommend this company to anyone considering countertop replacement.
