Our kitchen is a picture of absolute perfection - thanks for Alex and his team! He did an amazing job and went above and beyond to make sure everything - absolutely everything, was perfect and to our liking. I was in awe of his attention to detail, the care he showed from the beginning of the process to the very end and the precision with which everything was executed. A+ indeed!!! Here is the whole story for those interested: We are in the process of bringing our whole house into the 21st century and we decided to start with the hardest, but probably most exciting - our kitchen. It took several months for us to come up with the design and pick the cabinets. We knew we would most likely pick IKEA cabinets as they are about the only place in town that offers great modern-looking cabinets. We looked at Lowes, Home Depot and Cabinets to Go, just to check them off the list and decided to go with IKEA in the end, just as we thought we would. Another reason we went with IKEA was because they offer an online kitchen planning tool where you can do your layout and see how everything fits and IKEA will even verify your plan and create a shopping list for you so you order everything that's needed. We also liked IKEA's price transparency - you make your plan, you pick your cabinets and the program calculates the total price of your kitchen for you. We even thought we would get the countertop there and have everything installed by IKEA, to make the process super easy and simple. So once we designed the kitchen, picked our cabinets and were ready to move forward with installation, it turned out not everything was that simple. IKEA told us that we would not be able to get what we wanted because they hardly do any customizations - they don't cut cabinets, they don't cut doors, they wouldn't put a panel we wanted on one of the kitchen walls and they wouldn't even adjust an insert for a 12" cabinet to have one shelf instead of two! And every time we talked to an IKEA rep they told us a different thing! We were getting frustrated and after several weeks of trying to make adjustments and make compromises, we decided that we need to go with plan B - find someone else to install our kitchen. While starting looking for someone else, I remembered that one of my friends, who had her kitchen done recently, highly recommended Aplus. I found the phone number and called. I left a message and Alex promptly returned my call. He came over that same week to look at the space and I immediately had a good feeling about him. I emailed him the kitchen plan and he provided a quote a few days later. The quote was comparable to IKEA price-wise, but we were getting everything we wanted and more, so I told Alex that we, of course, are going to pick APlus! Installation was very smooth and I felt like it was more of a collaboration than a hired contractor doing an installation. I told Alex that there were some things I was not sure about and wanted to see how each version would look before deciding on the final one and Alex was more than happy to accommodate and he provided lots of invaluable advice, too. He also provided extra services per our request. We wanted to install laminate on all three walls in the kitchen to serve as backsplash and when I told him that I had trouble finding someone to do it, he agreed to install it and it looks perfect! He also installed the exhaust hood - and it's perfect, of course. I tell you - we would hire Alex to do EVERYTHING he would agree to do with the rest of the remodel - that's how much we trust him and appreciate the quality of his work. I know I am going to sound very sentimental when I say this, but I truly feel that he is a rare gem that we were lucky to find. Their work is honestly perfection and the prices are more than fair. Andrei was super patient with my many questions and helpful in getting me a tall cabinet I was missing to finish off the rest of my IKEA kitchen cabinets. They are super busy so anyone planning a kitchen should get in touch early in the process. My installers, Andrei and Marcus, were always on time and so polite. This mighty team of 2 completed entire kitchen install within 3 days, always cleaned up all the debris and dust at the end of the day and even helped me find a butcher block substitute when the IKEA ones I bought didn't work. They handled the Semihandmade doors with ease too. Marcus gave me a detailed walk through after they were done. I had some trouble scheduling for them to return for some additional new work - additional doors and butcher block which I ended up getting someone else - so just be aware of planning timelines if you need them to come back to additional work. read more

We just wrapped up our kitchen remodel and found Andrei through Yelp. We definitely recommend them! We ordered our cabinets online (not Ikea) and didn't trust ourselves to install. We contacted Andrei for a quote and he was quick to respond (all communications were quick). He and his crew came out and literally worked all day for 3 days. There were no 3 hour breaks where the disappear. No late starts or early finishes. They worked hard! He said it would take 3 full days and it did. We needed to order 1 extra piece of crown moulding and Andrei was nice enough to come back out and install at a later time. We had Andrei and his team come out to install our IKEA cabinets in our laundry spaces. It was a 3 day install as promised. We have had some pretty poor experiences with contractors recently, so Andrei was a breath of fresh air! They showed up right on time every day and worked diligently throughout the day. They put in an 8 to 9 hour day, every day. We were expecting some basic looking cabinets since we went the budget route, IKEA. But no! They know how to make these cabinets look great and super custom. We were surprised that they cut them to fit on the baseboards just right, cut space for outlets, and put the fillers in flush against the walls. Everything looks so amazing! I have worked with APlusCabinetry on two different occasions and can't recommend them enough. The first about a year ago when we had a minor food in our kitchen and needed assistance putting our IKEA cabinetry back together. Sounds simple enough but because IKEA had recently changed their cabinet style there was just enough complexity and stress to make a relatively small project considerably more involved. They handled the entire project with poise and grace and left it far better than they found it. The more recent project was also a smaller project but no less important. In the eat in kitchen area of our home, we had APlusCabinetry build out IKEA cabinets and buffet bar around a wine fridge. Again, sounds pretty simple but they treated the project no different than they would a much bigger project. Great communication, quick turnaround and again they left the area far better than they left it. Their collective years of experience resulted in a far better outcome than I could've ever imagined. They took our good ideas and made them even better, and the finish out of the project really is top notch. Eventually we will redo the rest of our kitchen and there is no doubt we'll be working with them when we do! read more

Andrei installed my Ikea kitchen cabinets. I was really impressed with his work, timing, professionalism, you name it. Communication was excellent leading up to the project, he showed up on time, assessments were accurate, work was completed on schedule, and the final product was great. Everything he did both looks and performs top notch. My kitchen project was a long one involving some drywall demo, so I also worked with another contractor who claimed to have a lot of experience with Ikea cabinetry. I had that contractor install a pantry. The work wasn't bad, but it was clearly not at the same level as Andrei's, and after confusion and delays, cost more than it should have. Andrei even helped to complete some finish work around that pantry that had left the other contractor scratching his head. Lesson learned? Start and end with someone who really knows what they're doing. I wish he did more than cabinets because I would hire him for other things if I could, but I suspect he's as good as he is because he's specialized. If you want someone who really knows their craft and their business, look no further. read more

I cannot say enough about how glad I am that we chose to work with Andrei and the APlus team! Andrei went above and beyond in every way when installing our kitchen cabinets which was a combination of IKEA boxes with Semihandmade fronts. He was clearly knowledgeable on the product, which was a relief given how notoriously complicated IKEA products can be. He was also willing to problem solve and put the extra time in to get things exactly right. We realized that the custom parts from Semihandmade weren't exactly what I was expecting (Side note if going with Semihandmade to just review in exact detail any customizations given that they don't do renderings to make sure you're on the same page about what you're ordering)! Andrei spend a lot of time exploring options based on the materials we did have so that we could come up with a plan for the island that I loved despite not having the materials for the original plan - which was no fault of his - he was just committed to us being happy with the end product. There was also an issue with the fridge panel in which our Semihandmade rep missed that their panels didn't meet the requirements for our panel ready fridge, this could have been a huge issue but Andrei came up with a plan. There was also a small miscommunication on what I wanted for the placement of cabinets by the stove, I didn't realize it until after they had finished up on Friday afternoon, and we had flooring starting the following Monday as well as our countertop template being made. At first I panicked thinking it would delay our timeline, but I called Andrei to talk it through and he came back Saturday evening to update it so that our timeline could stay intact. Andrei is truly just a genuinely good guy and a reliable and skilled craftsmen. I would use him and his team again in a heartbeat and recommend him to anyone! read more
