Buyer beware.. They gave me this gray subway tile instead of the white I ordered. It looked terrible with my floor and grout.
    Samantha N.

Never again. Tile is a commodity that can be bought in a LOT of places. As a real estate broker I've liked using Arizona Tile In the past because I felt like I got a higher level of care and service and due to that I was fine paying a little more than Lowe's or Home Depot where there was no personal touch. I've bought tile here for projects 5+ years now. My most recent project was my personal home and like anyone remodeling their home it's a passion project where we spend a lot of time and energy to pick just the right look and finishes. I found a bright white and black tile I loved and chose the Arizona tile white subway for the tub surround with a light gray grout. The whites would play off each other and the gray grout would have my white subway pop. I emailed ahead my order, I confirmed my order with the cashier and my receipt matched my order the white subway. The person loading my car checked my ticket and loaded me up with the tile. I left the tile and grout at the house for my installer. I was so excited to see my vision come to light. When I went back the next day after work I was so confused as the tile wasn't white. My gray grout blended right into a gray tile. The look was all off and it clashed with my floor. I ran and got my receipt to look again. Says white. I ran and found a box and after looking at all sides I see in very small print in one spot it was a gray. Ugh how could they screw this up. I contacted them to let them know. Heather the managers solution was to give me replacement white subway tile at no charge so basically give me what I already paid for the first time and didn't get. Gee thanks what a generous gesture. It cost me $1500 to have the wrong color tile you gave me installed. I'll have to pay to rip it out and then pay again another $1500 to re install plus the extra time. I let Heather know how unhappy I was with her solution when this 100% was their mistake and it's costing me and how I've been a long time customer. $3k plus out of my pocket to rectify their careless error. Her response....crickets. Austin is a small world. Especially in the broker, contractor, designer world. Had this been your personal home and a project you put a lot of effort into I don't think you'd enjoy flushing $3000 down the drain. Horrible customer service. Floor n" decor, Lowe's and Home Depot here I come for all my future protects. If you are looking for a place that pays attention to details such as giving you the actual color tile you order this is not that spot nor does this place provide any sort of customer service or care after the fact when they mess up.

Avi was an absolutely delight. Fast, clear communication before the initial meeting. Very thoughtful approach in our initial meeting. So many images from their highly impressive portfolio to help us think through options. Excellent examples of communication and workflow from previous projects. Instantly ready to share previous customers we could reach out to for references. A really good balance between sharing his ideas for our project, but also really listening to our feedback on what we wanted/invisoned. All the right insights for how to keep us in budget, and very generous with (we can add this/that for little/no extra costs since we're already doing XYZ). We mainly requested a bid on two projects (Kitchen and Primary Bathroom) and help deciding the scope for the remainder of our projects (Flooring, Guest Bath, Office, Patio, Etc.). We were very impressed with how realistic, but also open-minded he was with what portion of our "bonus" projects we could fit in. The formal quote came in fast after our initial meeting, was easy to follow, and fairly priced. Found the proposed timeline to be very well balanced for efficiency vs realism. Appreciated the suggestions provided for if we should/could "live-in" during the remodel vs. a timeline that would allow the bulk of the work to overlap with a time that we were going to be out of town already. Also insights on what it would be worth "buying in advance" to take advantage of sales, even if the actual work was delayed. We got a few quotes and would have felt confident moving forward with any of them when the time came, but the quality of their portfolio and Avi's attentive listening definitely put Teamwork Home Designs at the top of the list. Can't wait to work with them in the future.

My experience with this company was disappointing. Before hiring, I recommend asking to speak with…read moreprior clients and reviewing completed projects similar to the scope of work you are considering. The team appeared comfortable working on bathroom renovations; however, the shower diverter was not installed correctly, which caused the handle to be improperly aligned. We later hired a licensed plumber to inspect and correct the issue. Overall, the quality of work did not meet our expectations. Some aspects of the workmanship appeared rushed, and based on our experience, I would recommend exercising caution with detail-oriented tasks such as wood staining, drywall, painting, or door hardware installation. This project did not go as smoothly as anticipated, and I would not choose to work with this company again.

Our kitchen is a picture of absolute perfection - thanks for Alex and his team! He did an amazing…read morejob and went above and beyond to make sure everything - absolutely everything, was perfect and to our liking. I was in awe of his attention to detail, the care he showed from the beginning of the process to the very end and the precision with which everything was executed. A+ indeed!!! Here is the whole story for those interested: We are in the process of bringing our whole house into the 21st century and we decided to start with the hardest, but probably most exciting - our kitchen. It took several months for us to come up with the design and pick the cabinets. We knew we would most likely pick IKEA cabinets as they are about the only place in town that offers great modern-looking cabinets. We looked at Lowes, Home Depot and Cabinets to Go, just to check them off the list and decided to go with IKEA in the end, just as we thought we would. Another reason we went with IKEA was because they offer an online kitchen planning tool where you can do your layout and see how everything fits and IKEA will even verify your plan and create a shopping list for you so you order everything that's needed. We also liked IKEA's price transparency - you make your plan, you pick your cabinets and the program calculates the total price of your kitchen for you. We even thought we would get the countertop there and have everything installed by IKEA, to make the process super easy and simple. So once we designed the kitchen, picked our cabinets and were ready to move forward with installation, it turned out not everything was that simple. IKEA told us that we would not be able to get what we wanted because they hardly do any customizations - they don't cut cabinets, they don't cut doors, they wouldn't put a panel we wanted on one of the kitchen walls and they wouldn't even adjust an insert for a 12" cabinet to have one shelf instead of two! And every time we talked to an IKEA rep they told us a different thing! We were getting frustrated and after several weeks of trying to make adjustments and make compromises, we decided that we need to go with plan B - find someone else to install our kitchen. While starting looking for someone else, I remembered that one of my friends, who had her kitchen done recently, highly recommended Aplus. I found the phone number and called. I left a message and Alex promptly returned my call. He came over that same week to look at the space and I immediately had a good feeling about him. I emailed him the kitchen plan and he provided a quote a few days later. The quote was comparable to IKEA price-wise, but we were getting everything we wanted and more, so I told Alex that we, of course, are going to pick APlus! Installation was very smooth and I felt like it was more of a collaboration than a hired contractor doing an installation. I told Alex that there were some things I was not sure about and wanted to see how each version would look before deciding on the final one and Alex was more than happy to accommodate and he provided lots of invaluable advice, too. He also provided extra services per our request. We wanted to install laminate on all three walls in the kitchen to serve as backsplash and when I told him that I had trouble finding someone to do it, he agreed to install it and it looks perfect! He also installed the exhaust hood - and it's perfect, of course. I tell you - we would hire Alex to do EVERYTHING he would agree to do with the rest of the remodel - that's how much we trust him and appreciate the quality of his work. I know I am going to sound very sentimental when I say this, but I truly feel that he is a rare gem that we were lucky to find. The love and care he puts into his work is absolutely priceless!

My contractor gave her information about what I needed, so she was able to direct me to the right section and let me shop. As I narrowed down choices, she set them aside so I could compare them, thereby making a well-informed decision. She placed them side-by-side so I could get a good view of all of my choices at once. This made it easy to eliminate selections. I was able to learn a lot about my flooring--who knew that I didn't like beveling! I also learned about the great quality I was getting over things I was seeing in big box stores. So what did I choose? It was a tie between two that were very, very similar. Either one would have worked great in my home. So--and please don't judge me--I looked at the manufacturing location and selected the flooring based on the country of origin! (That's how detailed the information on the flooring was!) LOL I'm looking forward to continuing the process with Kaylin for the delivery of my flooring. The Tile Shop works with contractors, and since I'm working with one, I'm certain things will go smoothly!

My husband got home from swim lessons with the girls and realized that my oldest had left her prescription glasses there. I hopped in the car with my 9-year-old and headed straight there. The Tile Shop has a few parking spots that say "for customers only," and I'm always very cautious of not parking there out of respect for their customers, but as my daughter would just be running in and I was letting her go alone, I parked in one of their spots. I was holding my phone about to call inside the swim location because she had been in for a minute or two and I wanted to make sure they were helping her locate the glasses; there was a tap on my driver's side window so I turned and rolled down the window. An employee (named May or Maeve?) was standing there, upset and outraged that I was parked in their spot. I explained my daughter had JUST been gone a few minutes to grab her glasses and I wanted to be as close as possible to watch her as she fetched them (as I'm also raising her to be responsible for her things!). She told me that I wasn't allowed to park there and I said I'd move as soon as my daughter got back. She waved her phone at me and told me she was calling the cops. She walked to the front of my vehicle and proceeded to photograph me and my car as I waited for my daughter. She then walked back inside the store and paced in front of the windows where she either was (or pretended to be) on the phone with the cops. I understand first and foremost that I was parked in their spot. From start to finish, this entire experience was less than 5 minutes between parking and reversing. My daughter hurried out, I made sure she was buckled and had retrieved the glasses, and we were on our way. This employee was not kind. She was not respectful. She didn't give me the benefit of the doubt to even remotely understand why it might be helpful to park there temporarily. There are much more important things for our cops (if they were called) to be dealing with than an employee who should be inside the store doing her job and assisting customers rather than harassing mothers in the parking lot. I have never felt so disrespected in such a short, brief amount of time.
