We had custom black walnut mirrors frames made to match our master bath cabinets and we were in need of mirrors for them. Rick and his team did a fabulous job for us installing custom mirrors in our frames. He is responsive, helpful and professional. Delivered what he said he would when he said he would and at a great price. We well definitely be using Austin Shower Door & Mirror for our next project

Save yourself! Rick will make you sell you on high end materials and promise on time, exceptional work. What you'll get is the total opposite. We're 10 weeks in to a 4 week project. They still haven't delivered all of our materials. They took my 50% (tens of thousands), waited 3 weeks to start, tore up my house, and ASKED FOR MORE MONEY because they spent it all on another project. Mind you, not a single cabinet or countertop had been installed yet. They flooded my house and lied about it. I had to relocate my family (pregnant wife and 16 month old daughter) during sxsw (are you serious? There is no where to go), and when I fired him after repeat chances to right the wrongs, Rick kept my 5k Countertop, caused me thousands in repairs, and still kept making promises he still hasn't kept. Terrible business man, incapable of honesty or organization.

    The finished product!

Want the job done right the first time? Call Austin Kitchen & Bath! Rick and Scott removed and reinstalled a falling undermount sink another contractor (we eventually discovered) had installed with melamine blocks (basically crappy cardboard... amazing it lasted this long). Rick and Scott did a great job! Check out the uploaded pics and see what real blocks look like. BTW, we found AKB about six months after our kitchen remodel five years ago and AKB remodeled our master bath into one with a beautiful walk in shower. Superb work all the way around! Wished we'd known about them earlier! S/o to Preston, too, for his help!

I posted this on Google Review, and felt the obligation to post at Yelp so more people can know and…read moreuse U Granites & Cabinets More for your next home renovation project. U granites & Cabinets More's product and service are so much beyond my expectations. Originally we had the plan to update the kitchen during the pandemic, Amy came to my house to have everything measured, use 3D software generate the 3D model, made sure everything aligned what we wanted. We didn't pull the trigger due to many factors. The year after, we called Amy again. She came to the house, did the measurement, did the 3D model. We backed out again. This year, we called Amy again. She didn't say anything. Came over again, did the 3D model. We paid the deposit. Finally we started the project. During this process, Amy shows her patience, professionalism and attention to the details. Once the demolition and installation started, everything was organized in such a nice, efficient, and less disturbing way. The demolition was done in a day, and every trash was picked. Amy's husband, Victor, came to the house, with his experience and knowledge, discussed every details I need to think through - We removed two parts of the kitchen area so it brought some variations. He provided the options, respected my choice, and of course, with his knowledge about house remodeling trend, to make sure I have well-educated information. With his experience and knowledge, it increase my kitchen countertop's functionality and usage area. I can't thank him enough for that. U Granites & Cabinets are high quality. If you are not familiar with that market, you will get lost - just like me walking into Home Depot to look at those prebuilt countertop and vanity. I like the cabinet's materials, how it built (those features I probably didn't really think about before). I started with the kitchen cabinets and countertops, extended to the bathroom's vanities . I am very happy about the decision, and much more appreciative what Amy, Victor and other staffs at U Granites & Cabinets More has provided. Victor did a huge favor to me by doing all kind of other jobs along the kitchen remodeling. I tell you, that's another level experience and knowledge from him about house remodeling and how to have those done correctly, effectively and cost-efficiently. Cost wise, I gave you my example. I hired a general contractor who quoted me $14K for all demolition (kitchen and tiles) only. My total cost with U granite (Kitchen countertop, cabinets and demolition) is less than that number. If you come across this shop and this review, I highly recommended at least give Amy a call or stop by at their shop to check out their offering. I would be happier that you do choose them as remodeling partners because I know you are making the correct decision.

I'll list my experience below: -padded extra $400 onto quote for sink cut out and new sink which was not discussed during quote process. Luckily I saw that and purchased my own sink (also, they could've used the original sink too, so why add $200 without consulting with the client?) -added extra $40 onto granite removal charge. Quoted me $5/sq ft for removal. -cracked my backsplash and only offered $50 refund, and claimed "they're not responsible for damage" ...what?! -counter top came with scratches and scuff marks which they claim wasn't from them. It was installed in a new home where no one was living, and I saw it the day it was installed. Was definitely them -caused a leak when they removed sink, did not alert me to the severity of leak nor make any attempt to resolve it, which resulted in water piling up in my cabinet for a full day and ruined the bottom cabinets. -did not caulk countertop, so unnecessary open spaces between wall and countertop -damaged brand new cabinetry, also denied that. Sent pictures for undeniable evidence. This company is sloppy and they do not take responsibility for their shoddy work. I cannot recommend this company to anyone considering countertop replacement.

In installation, Pablo went above and beyond in making our sink fit in the master bathroom--we had bought what we thought was the right dimensions, but when he pulled out the old one it was flat in back, instead of oval all around. He said he could try to cut it but it might break. We were fine with that risk--and he did a great job. Impressive.

All of the quartz was fabricated and installed by Toluca. This was our first time working on such a project, and it was not cheap. Communicating with Nancy was great from the beginning to the end. She helped answer all of the questions and concerns that came up over a 6 week period while we shopped several suppliers, fabricators, and installers in North Austin. Toluca's quotes were the most competitive by far, and when we thought we had finally chosen our quartz material, Nancy suggested an alternative that was of similar quality and design but more affordable. It was an excellent suggestion, and we went with it. Installation took 2 days and was a very labor-intensive, DUSTY process. Fortunately we weren't living in our home during the installation. Unfortunately, there were a couple major mistakes made. We felt disappointed and immediately communicated the problems to Nancy the next day (Friday before Memorial Day). Nancy assured us that she would share our concerns during a large meeting that same day and that Toluca would resolve the issues. Well, Toluca came out on the following Monday, Memorial Day, to make things right. The final result turned out exactly as we had planned, and we are very pleased with the results. I will note that their installation team could have been more professional by cleaning up after themselves instead of leaving trash and tools behind, and this was also mentioned to Toluca. However, I have to give Toluca credit for standing up to their mistakes and following through to make sure we felt completely satisfied. They certainly did that in several ways, and we appreciate them. I want to give Honorato a shout out because he was enjoyable to interact with, and he helped build my confidence in Toluca. He came out twice for the initial and final measurements before the install, and he came out a third time on Memorial Day to fix the major concerns and a fourth time to fine tune a hole cut that we needed to enlarge. We would consider Toluca again for the future, and we recommend researching them for your countertop project.

I would have to text or email MULTIPLE times to get a response from Cristy. The finish work was awful. Within a few months, the floors started lifting and separating. When her husband came and looked at the floors, he said to me the person who installed my floors installed theirs and they had the same problem. When I asked why he was still working for them, he ignored the question and kept talking. After some back and forth, they agreed to redo the living room, hallway and laundry room. My bedroom, at the time, seemed fine. They did not redo the laundry room as promised. I had to wait several weeks for the transition pieces and then I had to contact Cristy to find out the status. They left my house FILTHY!! They didn't even bother sweeping the floors. The stuff they used to level the floors - which should have been done the first time - was all over my baseboards. It's had dried and most of it never came off. August/September 2023 my bedroom floors started lifting and separating badly - as did the living room again and laundry room got worse as it was not actually redone. I reached out again asking for a refund given all the issues. Cristy said she didn't have the money as she was now more in a consulting role. I then asked for all the floor to be replaced at no charge. She went silent again. I tired to file a complaint with the BBB but it was 2 months outside the 1 year timeframe so I couldn't. I made one last plea for her to do something to make this right. She said she would see what could be done and I never heard from her again. I finally sent one last email saying I didn't have the heart or strength to deal with this anymore. I paid $8,840.09 and my floors are awful and nothing I can do about it at this point. At first, they had pretty good communication, but then only promises, and broke communication. Subsequent requests for a refund or completion of the project were ignored. Communication ceased, and I was blocked from their social media platforms. Individuals involved include Albert, Jacob, and Luis Alberto. The company involved was Ace Countertops. I believe this to be a fraudulent operation. I urge potential customers to exercise extreme caution when considering this company. Be careful!

So I got a referral to work with Ace Countertops for my kitchen backsplash project. Jacob Herrera,…read morethe outside sales representative sent a quote with visuals after visiting us for estimation. We approved the quote and sent 50% of the deposit. My carpenter came by to install wall shelves mounts on the bare drywall first because that's what Ace Countertop suggested. So the sequences of the project for the wall would be shelve mounts, slabs, and then the wooden shelves as last. Since the mounts were going edge to edge, we had to make a change order from the initial slab designs Jacob proposed. We communicated to Jacob and Augustin, the template manager who came to my house for templates that we would send visuals/mockups of the wall since the slabs had to be cut into smaller measurements. We also wanted to keep the original direction for the veins since it required 3 slabs as Ace Countertop suggested. Ace Countertop approved the change order and told us they have the templates set up so they can go based on our mockups. When they came to install, we noticed that the slabs were rotated to cut which did not match the change order. It did not look like what they had proposed either. So my husband and I tried to call them, tried to talk to their managers, tried to meet them in their fabrication warehouse, and we still could not talk to anyone who could help to solve the issue or even hear the proper reasons why it delivered as it did. They came back saying it's their machine that doesn't cut the veins horizontally (original direction of the slabs). It did not make sense. We're using 3 slabs and the materials are not being used fully based on what other vendors have presented to us with their own visuals. Since we could not talk to any managers or project managers and Jacob was the sales representative and Sabrinah was the receptionist, we did not know where to go to solve the issue anymore. No one higher up reached out to us or answered our calls. We felt hopeless and I could not waste my time on things that weren't handled properly or professionally so we expressed we would like to back out and asked for a full refund since it was not my fault. Ace Countertops could not deliver what they promised or approved. Sabrinah said we would get a full refund but after a week of us trying to call her again, our call finally went through and she told us we would only get 50% back. No proper explanation of anything once things went south. We didn't get any refund from them. They owe me $4,012.82 for my deposit. They took all the materials so I still have bare drywalls and my carpenter cannot proceed with his own project to build the wall shelves. a kitchen hood and a covering. I spoke to 6 other vendors for the same project. No one has told me this is not a doable project. I don't know why Ace Countertops can't deliver what they have promised. I'm clearly your customer that you decided to ignore. At this point, I don't know how to not look at you as FRAUD. As you already know who I am, you still pretend like Eric, that Sabrinah Herrera said that's the owner but she doesn't even know his last, the owner she works for. Albert's Hererra who appears to be the project manager, Sabrinah had been mentioning several times, lied to us that Jacob and Sabrinah had never brought this issue with my project to him. I am not sure how hard it is for his own kids to speak to him about it over dinner. Since he is also not returning our calls, we're sharing our fraud story with Ace Countertops so no one has to go through this with them. DO NOT WORK WITH ACE COUNTERTOPS. If you're interested for more details, here's my story about them: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1V_hnUJH8D5GxBtDxwaRjYTtqQnhFRIgSXK9ysxlJ86U/edit?usp=sharing You can also read reviews for Albert's remodeling and True Custom Countertops on Facebook. Albert's Herrera might be the formal owner of TCC but it appears online that he still owns the business too.
