DON'T DEAL WITH LL. The entire business model is stacked AGAINST THE CUSTOMER, so they cannot be trusted! They take your money up front, hire a third party to do the work, then insist there's no way for them to direct the contractor. You can call corporate numbers, but the regional mgr is supposed to manage the subcontract. The regional manager is based in Houston and is completely unreachable. Now they have my money for partial work that I didn't approve and never confirmed, and Tyler won't refund any of it because "it's he-said-she-said at this point" and it's "above him". So now I have to go deal with corporate and I don't trust anyone at this point. Tyler at this office is aggravating and useless once you sign the contract. He "doesn't have the authority" to reign in the contractor if you have a disagreement. His regional manager has completely ignored us refusing to contact me. I still have no contact for him. They cite quality, but rack up the miscellaneous work through sloppy, lazy workmanship. Everything he says is aggravating. If you don't know your contractual rights, you'll either overpay or be stuck with a half-done project. DO NOT ACCEPT A&A FLOORING AS YOUR CONTRACTOR. A&A flooring does whatever they feel like whether you like it or not. They change ordered a considerable amount of material that I was never able to confirm was delivered, and now LL won't refund the cost of the material I didn't want and never saw delivered. AND they won't refund the labor that I did not want because A&A picked up the extra material, so Tyler assumes it's in my floor!! Thank God I was able to fight and get Erika Sifuentes hired to finish the job. She's actually competent and professional. Their head installer even confirmed that the additional leveler AA demanded was incredibly excessive. read more

Purchased a home in Dec 2018. Previous owner had purchased flooring from Lumber Liquidator. I bought flooring to match to finish two bedrooms. Fast forward a year and the flooring started to peel up and crack. Had a flooring company and a contractor come to the house. They both told me the flooring appeared to be defective. Contacted customer service (use that phrase loosely). Finally set up to speak to a gentleman named Omar. He spent 6 months giving us the run around. Had their company send someone to inspect the floor. That person also confirmed flooring defective. A month later, when no one followed up we reached out to Omar and he told us flooring not covered as we had obviously done something to damage. After pushing and threatening legal action he agreed to replace the flooring. When I sent him the invoice from the original homeowner's flooring (he already had mine), he told me that flooring didn't have a transferable warranty. When asked to produce this he couldn't. He then told me they weren't going to replace the flooring we bought either. AVOID this place like the plague. Talked to 3 flooring companies and two contractors - all warned me to not do business with them. Flooring is sub par. They won't honor their warranty. I am now going to have to replace the flooring at my cost. If anyone knows a great lawyer for something like this I am in the market and WILL be pursuing legal action. read more

While I think the product we bought (laminate flooring) will be ok, it is the customer service regarding their return policy that is hideous. Also, how they spoke to my wife is a terrible representation of a company. We bought 1100 sq ft of laminate flooring ahead of the time it was needed for installation. We calculated we needed about 950-960 sq. ft., and the clerk said, "let's order a bit more - if you don't need it you can easily bring it back." Once the order was put in, we then received our invoice, with payment made. The Return Policy was printed on the three pages of small print somewhere buried in legaleze that stated 30 days time period. It turns out our remodel project took longer than intended, and the flooring install fell outside the 30 days. And yes, we have 8 boxes (8!) of unused, unopened perfectly salable flooring. My wife called the Austin, TX store to set up a return and the snot-nosed clerk told her that the return cannot happen, not even with a restocking fee, because it exceed the 30 day time "as stated in the contract you signed." Never mind our honest recount of our reasons we have extra flooring (we were upsold) and the reason it went beyond 30 days. We were willing to pay a restocking fee, and these are boxes of flooring that are current, not close outs....they are marketable! No, the clerk went "legal" on us and tried to sound like he was all about policy and procedure. "Well, you signed it...and it says no returns after 30 days." Inflexibility like that, by a punk clerk who played his power hand, just cost Lumber Liquidators a direct customer, and hopefully, too, everyone we tell. This was piss poor service and unaccommodating. We are good-faith people, and their policy, their representative for their company and their image are hideous. Nice play, LL! read more

I decided to replace the carpet in my home with laminate. I shopped around at all the local places and all the big stores and the best pricing with service was by far Lumber Liquidators. Will was the employee I worked with and he was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They had 800 square feet of the laminate I wanted in stock. My contractor picked it up that day and I had it installed by the end of the week. It's been installed for about 3 weeks now and it looks wonderful. I got a 12 mm padded laminate at lower cost than a lot of places have their 8 mm padded laminates. I would highly recommend them! read more

Do NOT allow them to install your floors. They subcontract to bozos who have never cut wood before in their entire lives. I have picture upon picture of bad cuts, torn wood, missing spaces. It looks like they just broke off the quarter round as taking it over to the saw was just too much trouble. They had glue on their hands and made sure that it covered my handrail, walls and trimwork, which used to be freshly painted. The real issue: the manager at William Cannon store WON'T EVEN RETURN A PHONE CALL. I gave them 3 chances to come back and fix. They continue to send the exact same incompetent clown to fix the stuff that he messed up in the first place. You have to prepay for the work at LL to even get on the schedule, so I have no choice but to sue them, which I will be doing shortly. Home Depot was cheaper on the product that I chose and they matched their per sq. foot price. I went with LL because it was an in-stock product and I was in a hurry. Again, that didn't work out because trim pieces were not in stock, and they wouldn't schedule my job FOR WEEKS as we waited for trim pieces to come in. By then, the supposed installer (that I spoke with) had 22 jobs in front of him. So I guess they sent me someone else--maybe a brother-in-law that was out of work... read more

Just had a terrible experience at this place. Waited 20 min without anyone acknowledging us. Finally one person in the store asked us what we needed and we told him. He explained that the better selection is on the website (they just had a few samples in store) but that most of the product online isn't available for sale and you can't get it. When I asked what we should do, he said he didn't know. I asked him if he thought we should shop somewhere else. He said "THANK YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY" sarcastically, walked away from us, and stomped back to his computer. These reviews are accurate. These people are inept. They didn't order enough trim to finish the job, the installers left industrial glue all over our wood floors and the nails are popping out of the wood on the stairs. When we asked them to come back just to finish the job they started, they made us fill out a bunch of paper work and submit pictures. Once they deem the job complete, they do not come back to finish the job. Do not use Lumber Liquidators! read more

He helped us decide on a flooring based on our needs and had the installers move the furniture out of the room, remove the carpet, level the slab and after installation move the furniture back for us. The installation was wonderful and everything looks amazing. I went in to Lumber Liquidators to purchase a floor on 3/21 and was told the floor I wanted was on back order and was not going to arrive until the middle of May. The sales associate offered to originally transfer the floor from another store in Houston for a store transfer fee of $185 and told me the floor would arrive and be able to pick up in store by March 30 or 31st so I accepted he also told me that they would call me to tell me when the floor arrived. The 31st came and I still hadn't received a call and it was already 1pm and since it was a Sunday the store closes at 5pm, I called and spoke to the assistant manager Le' Jon Gonzalez. I had told him I was expecting flooring to arrive that day and he asked my first name then put me on hold for 5 minutes to come back and say nothing has been received. I was told that he was going to call me back by the end of the day, well I never got a call back then came Monday 4/1 and it was already 3pm and still no call so I personally went to the store and spoke to Le' Jon in he said the shipment was coming from Killeen and i told him that i thought they were going to receive it from Houston, he tells me Killeen is closer. but yet the floors still weren't there in store??? He then asks if I wanted the floors delivered to my home instead and told me that they would arrive 4/2 but the latest 4/3 but he said the delivery company R+L carriers "are very reliable and should arrive by tomorrow" well it's tomorrow and nothing. I paid the $185 for a reason. Not to be waiting around. So then I receive a txt message from the carrying company saying they will be able to deliver the floors tomorrow 4/3 with a time frame window of 10am-4pm. Me and my husband both work early tomorrow and will not be at home until late. If that was the case then there was no point of changing the delivery to a home delivery instead of a store pick up. So I called lumber Liquidators again and spoke to Juan. Basically just to wrap this up they said they cannot do anything about it because it is "no longer in their hands" and tried to make it up by telling me at least I didn't have to pay $200 more for home delivery, yeah I didn't have to pay because they MESSED up. Worst customer service ever, do not recommend going there, they don't know what they're doing nor how to fix problems. Will not purchase from again in the future. read more

After reading some of the reviews, I was a little nervous at first, that I was going to have them lay almost 2000 square feet of Flint Creek Oak Laminate Flooring. I am here to say that doing business with Lumber Liquidators in South Austin was amazing. My flooring came in on time. It was delivered as scheduled. Every time I had a question - and I had lots of them - they were friendly and patient and took the time to be sure I was satisfied. I used their installation service. I did my own tear out of my existing floors to save money. I prepped my own floor, as well. All of the supplies were included and delivered - at my expense, except I had to purchase a roll of duct tape for the guy to cover the seams of my subfloor upstairs before he floated and leveled. The measuring was accurate, the crew took a little longer than expected to finish the job, but I believe it was worth it. They were accommodating, friendly and professional. We returned the excess supplies that were purchased ahead of time and we received a full refund, no questions asked. My floor is beautiful. Just ask lots of questions so there is no misunderstanding. Some things are extra. You just have to decide if you want to do it yourself, or pay them to do it. read more

May 2015 we decided to rip up our 2 year old carpet and install either hard wood or laminate wood flooring.We decided to go through Lumber Liquidators because of their affordable options and the look of the Delaware Driftwood bay was a beautiful subdued color and matched our tastes. We did not have an installation team in mind so went with the Lumber Liquidators team since we figured these guys would be professionals and would get the job done right. I read installation policy and felt secure knowing there was a warranty available should any defects/issues be as a result of the installation team and not the buyer. We let the floor acclimate in our home as instructed for 2 weeks and the installation team came and completed the work over a 3-4 hour period (only less than 700 sq ft needed). The team does not reside in Austin, but they travel from San Antonio so you really have to make sure that your requests for inspection/installation meet their scheduling capability. The team told me I did not have to level the concrete since it appeared to be in good condition knowing the house was only 2 years old, therefore we did not use the leveling solution I bought from the lumber store. Within 2 weeks after installing the floors several boards were lifting and were extremely bouncy, in fact, the portion at the foot of the stairs lifted high enough off the ground that it snapped the floor trim straight from the wall. It was impossible to walk on. We called the team and after a week or two the guys showed up and corrected the areas, however they said they had to place a piece of trim on the floor to prevent it from rising again, so now we have one part of our floor that is oddly installed with a piece of trimming stapled over the planks. By the way, we had to purchase more planks and trim to fix THEIR MISTAKE. I needed my floors fixed, so I bit the bullet on this one. As the team was leaving we noticed that a plank (that they sawed down to make shorter) had a jagged edge from the saw job that was showing, so we immediately had to chase them down to come back and fix. After about another week, we still noticed that the flooring was a bit bouncy and seemed to crack as you walk on it, so we called them again. By this time, the staff at Lumber Liquidators-William Cannon location knew my voice and were not very friendly or empathetic to my issue with THEIR services. Cody was it? I don't really remember now. I was as patient and considerate of their time, but was not willing to just deal with it especially since the planks only cost $900, yet the installation was over $2k so I expected to have a top-notch installation experience. After almost a month of back and forth calls with the installation lead for the team that installed my floors, the lead contractor came back to my house and tested a few boards and cut down some shorter so they would have room to expand. He said the team should have leveled the floors and this problem would not be occurring. Fast forward to December 2015, after reporting the team to corporate and being assured that an installation lead would contact me and resolve this issue, we have yet to have any of this done. In October, the lead contractor I was working with over the phone sent a crew member (instead of coming himself) to check out the job by the original team. The crew member (Efrain?) (speaking in Spanish only) said he could see that the floor was un-leveled and that the area they placed the piece of trim over did not need to be there and could be fixed. Basically, he said "the job was poorly done and there was a better way to fix it", but more planks would be necessary since the ones laid are basically useless. He assured me he would contact his lead/supervisor and inform him that they need to return and fix. After more messages and another call to corporate, the job has not been done and they do not give me any reason to think they care one bit about it. SO---if you buy flooring at Lumber Liquidators, find your own, reputable installation team. The William Cannon location does not have a local team anyway and no one appears to give 2 cents about performance and/or execution of a successful installation. It appears to me that they have way too many other clients to deal with, so I have lost my opportunity for their full and undivided attention. Waste of money!
