My husband and I returned to At Home to purchase some Christmas decorations. They have a wide variety to choose from. They have many indoor and outdoor Christmas decorations. We picked out a pre lit Christmas tree, two containers of shatter proof ornaments, and a star for our tree. When going through the checkout there were several people working. We waited for the next available cashier. It was a really short wait probably less than five minutes. The cashier was friendly. We paid and we're on our way. We set up our Christmas tree after our Thanksgiving Dinner. My husband removed the tree from the box piece by piece. He spread out the tree limbs so that it would look more full. Once all of the ornaments and the star were put on the tree it looked really good. This is a great place to go for home decor. They have pretty good prices on trash, cans, rugs, lamps, and all kinds of things. My favorite time to go is Christmas time to get a couple new ornaments and see what they have. You can also pick up a couple of gifts here I have found that it's one of the more affordable places to get replacement cushions for outside furniture. Also, it's very easy to do returns here. My only complaint is that all of their shopping carts seem to have a problem. read more

At Home is basically old Garden Ridge, which I loved. I think if they weren't priced so high, they'd have a lot more customers. We visited a couple competitor stores before our visit today, and it was evident their prices are a bit steep in comparison and the quality isn't different enough to justify it. I exchanged something and they put funds on a gift card. This was no big deal bc I was just swapping lampshade sizes so happy to just grab what I need and swap out. After standing in line to do the exchange, locating the shade and standing in line again to check out, I wasn't able to use the gift card without a manager keying it in. This seems rather archaic but... whatever. So we paged the manager, waited some more, she keyed it in and it showed $0. The cashier said "that's not possible, I did the exchange myself just a few mins ago?" The manager then proceeds to say it takes 5 mins for funds to load. I point out on the receipt that it was 18 mins ago (lots of waiting in line) and now it "takes 30 mins for gift cards to load". I couldn't stand around another 12 mins hoping it would load as I had already left my family waiting in the car for an eternity. At Home has to be one of the best "inexpensive" places to get just about anything for the home/patio! We came for some things to decorate the apartment for Christmas! We started with the lit tree (amazing and only $365), garland (not Judy), ornaments and ribbon! The shelves were stocked! The young lady at checkout signed me up for shopping benefits! I placed an order online and received a notification that only part of my order was being delivered. I contacted the store in Fort Worth, Texas at +1 (817) 754-7559 to find out what was going on. I spoke with someone named Maria, who claimed to be the store manager. She was shockingly rude, offered no helpful information, and hung up on me in the middle of the conversation. When I asked who her manager was, she said Mr. Campbell but claimed he was not available. I called back immediately, but no one answered. I left a voicemail, but I don't expect a response based on how poorly I was treated. This experience was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I will never do business with this company again, and I strongly advise others to avoid them as well. Love their Christmas selection - tons of beautiful items at reasonable prices. During each visit, I've had a pleasant experience. Store layout has a nice flow and aisles have clear signage - no need for me to do laps around the store trying to find stuff. As another reviewer stated, you need to come in with real expectations - you'll find tons of cute decor items some of which might be of inferior quality but nice nonetheless. If you want upscale home furnishings, stick to the premium stores but for those in search of adorable knickknacks you'll enjoy At Home. Due to COVID, I do not recommend shopping online due to extensive processing/shipping delays. I freakin love this store, this is like Home Goods x100! This is basically a giant warehouse full of affordable home decor for literally all of your needs. I used to think Home Goods was my favorite home decor store but this blows that out of the water with their enormous inventory and amount of selections. I basically ended up shopping here for 3+ hours with my boyfriend going through all of the aisles when we needed to help refurnishing our new apartment. They had every single thing we needed from mirrors to candles to artwork. Unfortunately the day we went the registers weren't allowing credit card transactions but we were so astounded with our cart full of items that we went to the nearest gas station to take out cash to pay for everything we picked up. The store graciously held all of our items in our cart up front while we retrieved the money. While they do not have an ATM onsite, they do have a Target and a gas station within minutes of the store. Overall I'm obsessed with this store because of their huge inventory and pricing. We were able to get a ton of items for our apartment for well under $300 and this even included a giant gorgeous canvas art piece for $40 that would have cost $200+ anywhere else. I only first visited an At Home store in the past few months. I was looking at Halloween decorations online and came across At Home. There is a location fairly close to me so I decided to go in person. Upon first glance everything is super cute. I expected pricing to be akin to Hobby Lobby or Michael's. Boy, was I wrong! There are no coupons that I am aware of, no weekly deals, no super cheap clearance sales advertised. While I was able to snag a one time 15% coupon for my first purchase I have no received any additional coupons, which makes me sad. I did post of pic of a one day 15% off coupon benefitting Habitat for Humanity, but have found nothing else. I just feel like with so much competition on holiday decoration department you would think there would be some good deals to be had at At Home. I also think they are severely understaffed. As some other reviews noted, I was never greeted or asked if I needed help on any of my 3 visits to 2 different locations. The only interaction I had with a staff member was during checkout. Buyer beware. At Home is "re pricing" items. You can see the 4.99 price under the 5.99 new sticker 20% higher. Other item was stickered $2 over from 6.99 to 8.99 , a 28% increase. Bought about 20 items that looked like they were on sale with a sticker over the listed price but actually paid more. Items were new, not dusty, and in good supply. I should have been more careful. I ordered 2 lollipop yard stakes for holiday decor. I was willing to pay the $10 shipping for the $15 cost of items because I like them so much. They delivered stacked peppermints. When first walking in to At Home store, one feels super excited! It's as if HomeGoods, Target, and Home Depot all got mushed into one exciting place. There is so much to see and the store is so huge! Seasonal stuff, outdoor patio stuff, home organizational items, rugs, paintings! There are two full aisles of candles alone. It will take you a approx. 40 minutes to walk around the store and go up and down every aisle to see what they offer. It can be your cardio for the day! Now, on to the bad news. First, being their prices. I have always found everything at the At Home store to be slightly higher than what I can find it for at Target or Marshalls. Or even hobby lobby! Hobby lobby always has sales going on and you never ever ever pay the price you see on a shelf or rack. At At Home you will pay that high price. Very few sales or coupons. Secondly, is the lack of customer service. Actually, the lack of any employees visible in the whole store! Need help getting something off of a high shelf? Sorry, you will have to jump. Want to ask for a measuring tape for that table you just spotted? Sorry, you will have to use your fingers and estimate. Want to know if there is anyone to help you carry that heavy item to your car? Sorry, you will have to balance it on the cart and take it out yourself. If an employee's help is not something you need during your visit, your basket may be full and you may be ready to check out. I hope you have brought some snacks and a water bottle! It will be a very very long wait. A one-line, first check out clerk available system. Not usually a problem, except at At Home there is typically one checker working. A very slow and chatty checker. Meanwhile, the line continues to grow and no one ever calls for backup help. We just had the worst experience ever at this location. The older white manger with short blonde hair that starts with a letter c either Cecilia or Cynthia or Cindy is the the most incompetent, unprofessional person in charge ever. She would not approach the situation that we were having with an online order. There was a Hispanic older lady with glasses that was assisting more than her stating that because she is Hispanic she feels more comfortable speaking with us (which is stereo typing and racist)than the manager herself. Need color. Need to add just about anything, they have it. Bought a nine-foot round shade with a base. So far I am a happy camper. Bought some mirrors. A wheel. A clock. And a bunch of other items and our home is coming along nicely. When shopping at places like At Home; you may have to sacrifice some amenities. Overall you have to be patient and use your creative juices to make things happen. If you are looking for fillers, At Home does a good job. Remember you get what you pay for. When my order came, 3 of the 6 were missing one of the blades at the bottom of the skate. These skate ornaments are the size of an 8x8 brownie pan, for context. Which means the moron that packaged my order would have seen the missing blades and sent them anyway. I sent the broken items back and requested a refund from AT Home. I got refunded for a Ty Pennington Blue Fabric Stocking Ornament, 6" that costs $1.99 instead of the items I actually sent back that cost $17.99 each! The prices are insanely high. I needed 6 large plastic planters. A large plastic planter at this joint cost the same $109 dollars as the dense, heavy, clay ones. Love this place. You can get lost in the store easily because you'll find a deal after deal that is better than anywhere else in town. And on top of that a lot of the quality product is much better than at places like Walmart and target even but the prices are lower. Awful customer service! I was in search of two planters and came across a pair but one was damaged. The manager was nice enough to say she would discount the product but....(drum roll)...then that meant I couldn't return it! HA! How does that even make sense!? You want me to buy something damaged that 1) y'all shouldn't be selling and 2) if it doesn't work out you're now SOL and stuck with the damaged product! I understand policies but when I'm left with no other option bc this was the last two planters in this style I expect management to be flexible and accommodate a customer if said item doesn't work out.
