We had recently renovated a large outdoor porch and we were looking for new outdoor furniture with a lighter shade of blue cushions than the standard navy blue. It seemed like the vast majority of outdoor furniture was only available in the same standard neutral colors of navy and shades of beige. This was frustrating since we had something else in mind. We also needed the furniture to be comfortable, durable, and not so low to the ground that aging knees would complain when you needed to get up. Chair King came to the rescue. Although they had a lot of furniture in the neutral colors, we were also able to find a sofa, loveseat and chairs with pretty blue cushions made to fit our chosen furniture like we wanted. In addition to being durable, the furniture was comfortable and at a good height. The sales people were also excellent. There was no high pressure sales, just knowledgeable people that could answer your questions and lead you in the right direction. Douglas was our salesperson and he was great. He answered all our questions and explained the delivery service and fee. To have all the furniture delivered it was a flat fee of $199. This included, taking everything to the back porch, placing each piece of furniture where we directed, and unpacking all the cushions. This allowed us to check everything before they left to make sure it was in good condition. The delivery people were great. They gave us a heads up of when they would arrive, were courteous and professional. It was one of my best delivery experiences.

Additionally, they called around to gather all the items we wanted from other location, warehouse etc. THEN the next day we decided to change from a loveseat to sofa which meant, in addition, more cushions and a different cover. One call later and all changes to the order were made and our delivery date remained the same. Based on my experience this far I am sure delivery will be just as good. I had a very disappointing experience with a manager on duty named Priscilla. I've spent around…read more$500 at this location in just the past few days and came in tonight to purchase four pieces of art. I decided against one but later called back to place it on hold. When I spoke with Priscilla, who claimed to be a manager, she was extremely unprofessional and dismissive. She told me she couldn't hold the piece in a sarcastic tone, and when I asked for her district manager's name and she responded by saying, "You can Google it." This behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on your brand. I ask that this situation be addressed, and that Priscilla receive additional training on professionalism and client service. A manager should represent the company with respect and class, not sarcasm and disregard. * Update: After going in today and speaking with Mabel and Sara--who had helped me previously--I received the level of customer service that should always be expected. It was phenomenal! They're both amazing, and truly set the standard for how clients, especially repeat clients, should be treated. Priscilla could definitely learn from their example. Since my master bedroom faces east, I get direct sun in the morning and needed blackout drapes. Also, I wanted some privacy during the day while still allowing natural light in. And lastly, I had used Ethan Allen for my window coverings in my master bedroom in California and wanted to try and match that fabric. I worked with one of the designers, Victoria, and she not only came up with a unique solution, but was able to come very close to the same fabric I had used back in California. I now have remotely controlled blackout drapes that I can open or close while still in bed, along with unique "roll up" Hunter Douglas shades that give me privacy from the homes down below me. I highly recommend this Ethan Allen location.

I replied stating that we all make mistakes but the right thing for their company to do was to honor the information they provided. That's just what a non-shady business does. I received an email notice of my refund without further communication. It's tough to do the right thing but companies which thrive serve their customers better. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

He looks at me and my mom condescendingly and responds quite snidely. He thought I didn't know what I was asking for and that "all furniture ever is ordered only from a catalog" because apparently I "don't realize they're designer." Ugh, I hate attitude like that. I don't understand who in their right mind thinks insulting a customer is good sales strategy.

The second attempt made it to Fort Worth and disappeared. So we decided to take a look at mattresses and stopped into small shop as we we in the shopping center. There were so many different sales on some items I immediately shifted into an on guard mode. The one gentleman working was very patient and knew his items. No hard sell. While there were some interesting things there (all manufacturers say they are the best) I immediately picked up on the fancy tilting frames, snore detectors and even USB ports. Technology proceeds rapidly and having to "update or upgrade" part or all is not in my color wheel. While we didn't purchase at this time, it gave us plenty of ideas. Will we be back? Probably, after looking a bit more places thanks to a nice guy with extreme patience. Now, another King or Queen. :-)

It was listed as a "clearance center" but when we got there they didn't know what that meant. So don't make an extra trip based on that label. It would be easier to go to the largest Mattress Firm in Austin, which is just down the road next to Sam's Warehouse and Best Buy off Mopac. We got a a Simmons Beautyrest and are really enjoying it. It has a 15 year warranty, if you think you'll have it that long, and separate coils so that the bed doesn't bounce when the other person is getting in/out of bed. We did order one of their special Mattress Firm coconut pillows but when the mattress was delivered, there was no pilllow. Now we have to call and complain, which is a pain. Excellent customer service while you're there, and there is not a hard sell thing happening while you're shopping, which is nice. It would be nicer if the sample beds were queen instead of twin so that two people could lie on it first before making such a large purchase. I guess that is too heavy for one sales rep to pull out of the display area. Check out Tarka for lunch on the way out.

We saw several sectional couches, a reclining couch, a recliner chair, and a few stools. So many items to look at. After everything we didn't actually find the type of couch that we wanted and we didn't end up buying anything but we did appreciate all of the information. It does have some great options but it was a little overwhelming for me.

This IKEA is small maybe 500 square feet, which is an order and pickup location. You can buy a small selection of items here as well. There main IKEA store in Round Rock, TX is huge at 252K square feet with a plethora of furniture, household goods and other items to choose form. Prices are the same at both IKEA in Round Rock, TX and the online catalog at the Domain. The IKEA representative kindly explored the options for hangers, which is what I was looking for...specifically black plastic hangers like they have in department stores They only had wood hangers and black hangers for children. So, I was not successful in ordering these items. It is great to know that I can order from the Domain location and it can me delivered to me at the Domain location. It will save a lot of gas in the process.
