For birthdays, baby showers, special occasions, holidays, and even just to browse for myself this Painted Tree Boutiques is located in the middle of Sunset Valley in a shopping center with big box stores. Painted Tree is unique in that there are local artisans, craft makers, and vintage items you will find here at super affordable prices. Parking is never an issue when I come here to buy a unique piece for a friend or family gift. There are a lot of Austin-centric and often handcrafted pieces here. I have seen original artwork, candles, quilts, glassware, and a ton of stickers and even kids-related and appropriate finds. I recommend coming during the week but often times on the weekends the management will run specials and give a percentage off for shoppers. I would consider checking their social handles for events. I have seen several themed events that last from open to close such as summer events, mother's day, and even recently a Halloween (or holiday) themed promotion to get you inside and browsing. No need to remember vendors or take down names or booth numbers. All you have to do is grab what you like and when you check out the staff will scan and utilize their system to get you through your purchase. I've passed by the Painted Tree Boutique when I've shopped at other stores in the shopping center but I didn't know what the store was. Then I saw a FB event for the All The Jingle Ladies event and I decided to check it out with a friend. So, I like the concept. It's like an elevated swap meet but with one central Checkout counter for all items no matter which booth you shop at. That does make life easier, not having to check out at each booth. So the positives were the event was fun. Nice refreshments and the carolers were very festive. The kind of downer was that I only met one booth owner. I am surprised that the artists and Boutique owners didn't attend the event. On one hand it made it low pressure. On the other hand it made it kind of impersonal. And regarding the items, generally they were well priced. I think anyone could find something in their budget. Having said that, some items were handmade, some were collector items or supplies and others were almost temu vibes. Not bad just mass produced. I picked up a beautiful handmade resin switch plate for my office and some melting wax in really nice hotel scents for my warmer. Honestly this place is like if Etsy had a storefront. It was an enjoyable way to shop. I'll keep it in mind the next time I'm gift shopping or they have a fun event. read more

It's like the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar all year long but without the live music. Tons of shops selling tons in f hand made items made from soap, yarn, beads, glass, 3 d printers, etc. They have boutique food items like local honey and special jerky and jams and etc. Over 200 stalls so you're bound to find something for that special person or event. Such a smart concept! Basically a market full of local boutiques, a lot of them, with a variety of items for sale! A perfect place to go for gifts, home decor, food items, and so many other things. Prices vary from under $1 to several hundred. I've been told they have monthly events where they have snacks/coffee and live music, too. I'll have to check that out someday. The service has been super friendly in my experience, too! Absolutely recommend for bringing out of town guests (souvenirs!), or for buying locally made gifts. read more

This new place opened in Round Rock this weekend and we just happened to be passing by...I am so happy. They have so many unoriginal items across so many different boutiques. We ended up purchasing new dog collar and stickers lol but trust me I will def be back (once the Christmas crowd dies). I really like the fact you can shop from multiple places and check out at once in the front when you're done instead of having to make multiple purchases. The prices also seemed reasonable and still fairly better than stores at the mall. We didn't even get to explore the entire place but yes check them out...not to mention the employees are very kind and helpful. They also take Apple Pay! read more

Shopping here is fabulous. Lots of variety. Vendors all offer a variety of items, which makes it fun. Tell your friends to shop here for the variety pricing is good, etc.. Support small businesses. If you are considering being a vendor, do your research. Even when the rest of the shops in the center have traffic this store lacks traffic. It was an expensive endeavor for me. This place is unique. If you like festival or farmers market (goods only) or are looking for a special gift, this is the place. The store is set up in booth. There are all kinds of booth, anything from clothing, household goods and even what appeared to look like goth wear. The prices were reasonable if you compare them to festival shopping prices. I wish they had fitting rooms (it is possible that I did not see them) and second, they have this 48 hour return policy. read more

In the old BB&B location. It's a collection of individual vendor booths. Lot's of them. It takes an hour to stroll through without really stopping to do more than browse. Probably a little something kitschy for everyone. Closer to la casa than Blue Genie, so we'll probably be back around Christmas time. read more

My new favorite place to take friends for a walk and shop. I got coffee from a close restaurant and used a basket to browse the independent vendors. I ended up finding a lot of items I've been wanting for a while, like a leather cowboy hat, Mexican embroidered clothing, and a bat necklace. I was very impressed with how creative the artists and vendors curated or created their items and booth spaces. All they need is an in-house coffee bar! The store is pretty new and I went during the weekday, so it wasn't busy at all. Only 2 vendors were managing their booths directly (as you pay for everything up front like the now defunct Austin Antique Mall) so I felt very comfortable taking my time looking at everything. I was VERY grateful of the booth that sold bottle water on the go. I had to stop myself from buying any more than I did, but I highly recommend this place if you need to gift shop for any event. Allows vendors in their store to sell completely fake merchandise for example sonny angels and other figurines. gives hard time about returning. not good customer service and actual products they sell r cheap and all fake items. would not recommend for anything. read more

Very cool selection for local goods from local Artists, Artisans, and Business owners.

I really enjoyed perusing the eclectic goods. I bought quite a few items at really good prices. This will be my go to for gifts, you can find something for everyone here. I also liked the clothing selections. Kinda had south congress vibes back in the day. The staff is also really nice. read more
