The vibe, decor and fashion is all amazing! The coats are sooo adorable!!! I love going in here and feeling amazing. The downside: everything is super expensive ($900 coats, etc)

This store seemed really neat from outside to I had to check it out. There was a pool table for people to use, retro video games, and a stage where it looks like they may sometimes have live music. The true gem, though, was up the stairs. I didn't expect to find a rooftop lounging area, so it was a pleasant surprise overlooking SoCo.

Designer & Owner Paige is kicking off the opening party in style!

Colorful happy clothes/hats/accessories with a stellar vibe. The owner/designer is Paige from Arlington Texas (who-hoo) who opened her first store in Venice Beach when she fell in love with surfing. ACL and Waterloo at SXSW both teamed up with Paige because her style rocks. When I first saw her merchandise designs at Waterloo's SXSW party I could not put my finger on why I was so obsessively drawn to them. I now realize it's because her designs are colorful happy vibes that just make me feel good. And the materials are ridiculously comfortable. I highly recommend checking out her ridiculously comfortable T-shirt's, sweaters and jogging pants and hats. The designs are just too cool and make me happy.

The prices are a bit higher than you'll find at Old Navy or something, but the fabric is so so soft and comfy, and worth every penny.

Oscar helped me with jeans while another staff member helped my bf with tshirts (didn't catch his name). I told Oscar my dilemma with my 1955 jeans, and he recommended boncoura work pants to me. I think they're a new product and were made in partnership with self edge? I don't remember all the details beyond him telling me he fits women in these pants because they surprisingly fit women really well. I tried them on...and yeah. I walked out of the store with them and wore them the rest of the day lol. Everyone was super helpful while we shopped and tried clothes on. I think I actually had a better experience here than at the SF store. They have a parking lot out front, so the store is really accessible. If you're looking for raw denim, visit self edge. If you're looking for premium, well-made basics or you're into working menswear from Japan, go to self edge. They're knowledgeable, and they're passionate about the industry and products they carry. I'm glad self edge opened a store in Austin bc I'm pretty sure there isn't another store here that is within this market of clothing. I'll definitely come back as soon as my budget allows!

I came in needing some business casual shirts. Michael laid out (literally) several great options and discussed sizes. Once he found what I needed, he continued to suggest items that might be a fit. This was not a pushy sales job to send me out with just anything. He seemed to genuinely care about my needs. Also left me to wander when that is what I wanted to do. I picked out a couple of nice shirts, but I want to come back when I have more time, as the selection is quite varied, with lots of options - from very casual to dress and outerwear. Michael got me a water, asked about my needs - it was such great and friendly service. Others should come and learn about taking care of customers. At one point a couple came in, and someone needed something Billy Reid did not carry. Michael directed him to a specific shop that would meet his needs. Truly helpful. Oh - and the place was immaculate and well lit. I will definitely be back!
