Staff is friendly yet chill (not in your face). Parking on S. Congress can be tough. I recommend going on a weekday when there's less traffic. If you're looking for fun, upscale sweats, t-shirts, and athleisure, this is the place! Aviation Nator! SoCo clothes shopping! This is such a cool clothing shop. Why can't all clothiers have portraits of James Bond and a fancy pool table to play on while you wait? This place is epic. There's a performance stage in the store where you can check out some of the latest bands who just seem to be passing through and thought they'd play at a t-shirt store! They sell all handmade kinds of stuff. It's made in Los Angeles. These are threads you're not gonna find anywhere else. The prices are a bit higher than you'll find at Old Navy or something, but the fabric is so so soft and comfy, and worth every penny. It's such a colorful shop and a wonderful respite from shopping along South Congress. The staff is appropriately busy doing other stuff. I was asked if I needed help or wanted to see if they had others in supply for me. Cool. Parking along South Congress can be a nightmare. They've come up with some sort of back in parking deal on one side that's just kinda difficult. Derp. I can't wait to come back. read more

Send them back to CA. I made an online order, same size as another I have and it was huge and misshapen with floppy arms. They would not exchange or replace it or refund it. Citing "sale". No wonder it was on sale. There are many other cool clothing companies to shop from. I will not support them again as they are dismissive and rude. This store seemed really neat from outside to I had to check it out. There was a pool table for people to use, retro video games, and a stage where it looks like they may sometimes have live music. The true gem, though, was up the stairs. I didn't expect to find a rooftop lounging area, so it was a pleasant surprise overlooking SoCo. read more

Colorful happy clothes/hats/accessories with a stellar vibe. The owner/designer is Paige from Arlington Texas (who-hoo) who opened her first store in Venice Beach when she fell in love with surfing. ACL and Waterloo at SXSW both teamed up with Paige because her style rocks. When I first saw her merchandise designs at Waterloo's SXSW party I could not put my finger on why I was so obsessively drawn to them. I now realize it's because her designs are colorful happy vibes that just make me feel good. And the materials are ridiculously comfortable. I highly recommend checking out her ridiculously comfortable T-shirt's, sweaters and jogging pants and hats. The designs are just too cool and make me happy. read more

Super cool store! Was so enticed by the windows and bright colors. The huge downside were the employees (three of them: 1 male 2 females) who said not one single word to us. We walked by their pow wow station (the circular register area) several times, and not one of them even looked at us. Too bad, because we were spending money today, and we were actually interested in a couple items. One bit of advice, if you have a store that large, I'd require each one of those employees to be spread out monitoring the customers (saying hello would be great, too) to curtail any shoplifters. I loved this place so much it was so cool and all the colors were so awesome!! I went to Austin like a month or two ago and it was so fun. Those electric scooters were BOMB!! OMG!! That is probably why they use lightning blots on their clothes!! My sister got Aviator Nation nails a few weeks later with lightning bolts. I am new to Aviator Nation as a brand and the staff working on my visit were so enthusiastic and warm, it's hard to not fall in love with the whole store when you see how excited the workers are about it. The clothes are HAND MADE, and SO STINKIN SOFT! The shorter girl assisting me (she gave me her name but I just can't remember now) was so sweet and attentive, she was very knowledgeable and ready to answer my million questions The young man who checked me out was also so nice & gave me the best recommendation for lunch! Not too worry, the SOCO SoCal/Venice Beeyatch dream is dying a slow death and South Congress will return to its former glory sooner rather than later. Their garments are MADE IN CALIFORNIA (supposedly) - and they TRY to charge the extreme for that .....$850.00 for a womens jacket was idiocy at its finest, no, wait, it was the $450.00 for a toddler jacket that took the cake. Only the SXSW crowd are dumb enough to spend that and I hate to tell AN that that is only once a year......go back to Cali AN.....we Texans do not want, nor do we need you here.
