I don't usually write reviews, but this place genuinely deserves it…read more This is, without a doubt, the best store I've ever been to. The selection is amazing, the prices are great, and the pieces are beautiful and high-quality -- but what truly sets this location apart is the people. Ann, Janette, and Rocky completely changed the experience for me. They made me feel welcome, comfortable, and genuinely taken care of. Shopping there didn't feel like a chore -- they turned it into an experience, full of laughter and good energy. They truly made every visit feel like an adventure. Because of them, I kept coming back. I even visited another Gap location just to compare -- and it didn't even come close. This isn't just the best Gap I've been to. It's the best retail experience I've had, period. If you're anywhere near this location, go. You'll understand exactly what I mean.

I really like this location for men's clothing…read more They have a lot of basics. The store is well stocked and organized, I worked with the manager and she helped me grab a few items and scan them in the store so she could tell me the final price before we went to the register. It made things really easy. They have a good return policy as well. I do need to go back now to return a hat I bought I didn't realize at the time but it's a kid size one ha ha They had a lot of items on sale and it's easy to take advantage of the deals. Some clearance is still not final sale. So you aren't stuck with your purchases just because of the discount which I really like!

Premium stuff gets priced a bit higher but it's fine because that's what keeps the doors open at the physical location! There's a free stand for clothing and other items that go out to the community. The physical location is about to open its expansion space so it won't be as crowded feeling as it was before! I hope more Austinites learn about Heartening and go so that we can keep more clothing out of landfills.

We contacted owner Kelley Rytlewski as a courtesy; with a group of only 7 Girl Scouts and 2 adult leaders, we could have simply walked in like any other visitors. Instead of appreciating the heads-up, Ms. Rytlewski declined the visit in an email that came across as condescending in both tone and content. No real explanation, no alternative offered, just a dismissive response to a group of young women trying to engage with their community. It's a striking disconnect between the warm, generous mission Heartening projects and how the owner actually treats people who reach out in good faith, especially children growing in mentorship and leadership. If you're a school group, troop, or youth organization hoping to find a welcoming community partner in Austin, I'd look elsewhere. Imagine being a female, owner of a community-focused business and not partnering with Girl Scouts. Mind blown.
