I washed it one time. The zipper broke. On a zip hoodie, that's the whole garment. I can't wear it, and it isn't something I can fix myself. I didn't want to make this a thing. I called, I emailed, and I used the live chat, and each time I asked whether there was anything you could do -- a repair, a replacement zipper, a tailor you work with, anything at all. The answer was no every time. Nobody offered me a case number or a next step. I understand that a zipper can fail. Manufacturing isn't perfect and I wasn't expecting perfection. What I was expecting was that when something goes wrong in the first week on a $200 piece, the company that made it would want to make it right. That's what the price is supposed to mean. The hard part isn't the money. It's that every time I see it hanging in my closet I think about my sister spending more than she should have, on something I can't wear, from a company that wouldn't help. I'd rather she'd bought me a $40 hoodie that worked.

We walked in and were immediately greeted and told just to ask if we needed anything. We looked around at the products on display then I spotted it..... A hat I liked the look of!!!! I tried on the display one, the lady said to me...that looks.nice but you need a 7 one. Let me get you one to try. Now bear in mind she was at least 20 feet away......she got the appropriate size and opened the box and handed it to me. I popped it on and looked and behold, it was a perfect fit. SOLD! My wife then spotted one she liked.....we did a repeat of my experience and......SOLD...... 2 hats for basically the price of 1 at one of the Congress stores. Absolutely wonderful experience, amazing amount of stock....and tiny. Go visit, buy a hat, or a shirt or some boots. You won't regret it.

I'm not from Austin, or Texas for that matter. This store is tucked away and kind of looks sketchy on the outside. Inside they have much more variety of hats, boots and clothes! I found the hat I wanted but not in the size I was supposedly was (got measured in Allen's and he was wrong). The owner was super helpful and despite her having to downsize twice to grab me the hat I wanted, she came up with an alternative. It was on the pricier side compared to the other one, but this one was definitely better quality. The shape of it wasn't the same as the one I wanted but she told me she could shape it for me and lo and behold I got the hat I wanted in better quality! :)

I was looking for special occasion dresses to fit my vision: refined and not too run of the mill. If you are in the same boat then start at this boutique because I have found success with two beautiful dresses from here. I love the layout of the store. I have been to dress warehouses which get overwhelming. This is a smaller boutique with dresses arranged by size then by color. The staff greets you and gets an idea of what you are shopping for. When it's time for a fitting room they take your dresses and set them inside the curtain for you. They kindly offer to help zip you up and are very respectful, never did I feel uncomfortable. Outside of the fitting room is a catwalk with a big mirror. They have an alterations person if you need one but be mindful that prom season gets very busy. The sales are final but if the dress is right then you know that won't be a problem. People told me I looked like a princess in the dresses I got from here and they made me feel beautiful :)

Her attitude immediately felt cold and uninviting. As people of color, we couldn't help but notice that she appeared much friendlier and more attentive to other non-colored customers in the store. We looked around on our own and found a couple of dresses we liked. When I asked where we could try the dresses on, instead of walking us to the fitting rooms or offering assistance, she simply pointed and said, "there's people over there if you need help," without any effort to actually help us. Later, while my sister was trying on dresses, the employee spoke to us in a very rude and unfriendly tone, saying that she had to zip the dress herself. We completely understand store policies, but it was the way she said it that felt disrespectful. When I told her we didn't appreciate how she spoke to us, her response was that she didn't care. This situation was especially upsetting because this is my sister's first and last prom. She actually found a dress she liked, but the poor customer service made her feel so uncomfortable that she decided to leave without buying it. No one should feel unwelcome or treated differently while shopping, especially during such an important moment. Customer service makes a huge difference, and sadly, our experience at Z Couture did not reflect kindness, professionalism, or respect. I truly hope management takes situations like this seriously and works to ensure that all customers are treated equally and respectfully.

Fossil is not a brand I had considered for quite some time as being a key contender for my hard-earned spending money, but after Laurel showed me the great stuff they had to offer, it will be in my Barton Creek Mall rotation for many trips to come.
