First of all, their Halloween and Christmas displays are crazy fun and unusual. Secondly, their staff is super friendly and helpful. Third, their prices are very reasonable and it you wait until a week before the holidays, you will get a hugely discounted price and their very sweet employees might offer to help you carry it out to your car! I will continue to support Lowe's. Bought a range and dishwasher from them and MAJOR problems with both. The range didn't work and the contractor asked me to contact Lowes. They said it wasn't their problem after 48 hours after delivery. It was 2 hours! And after waiting for 1 and a half hours on the phone I went in the store. they asked me to buy another one while they worked on replacing the original. I did so now I'm 4000.00 in the hole. They never reimbursed me for the original. Went in. They said I would have to purchase it a 3rd time to get into the system. So they wanted me to buy 3 2000.00 ranges to get things right. A nightmare. Then when I bought a water heater clear, their contractor ARS didn't show up 3 TIMES! I waited for my brother to come into town to do it, but meanwhile wasted 3 days. I have other nightmares using them to redo the kitchen, but I'm tired of writing about how shitty they are. DON'T GO TO LOWES. EVER read more

We had excellent service from a very knowledgeable person in the nightmarish changing of light bulbs. He spent about 30 minutes making sure we were making the right choice in several hours. He used up my towels and paper towels to clean mess. I was kind and patient. A few days latter we received a cancellation e mail and we didn't get all our money back. The plant selection here is on point, and the people who work in the Garden Dept are super knowledgable and friendly when it comes to finding plants, picking out the good ones, and offering up the advice for planting and keeping them healthy. Also, they have always have a decent selection of discounted plants, often plants that are in pretty good shape and very easily rehabbed, or just plants that are about to go out of season, like veggie and flower starts. Awful Loses store. Just went to purchase some gift cards that were on sale. The cashier refused to ring the gift cards up until the manager came, and a lady was already waiting for a manager for 10 minutes when I arrived. Mark the assistant manager finally arrived and helped the lady in front of me. Then he turned around and said no, he's not going to sell me the gift cards I came to purchase. What?! After some back and forth, it was clear he thought he was some sort of authority and deemed my purchases too large. I asked for less and he denied, and I finally said just sell me 1 gift card and he said no. What?! After getting his boss's name I whipped out my camera and asked if he could just explain again why I can't buy 1 gift card so I can make sure he doesn't tell his boss a different story. He literally scampered away to the back room. I went to put the gift cards back on the shelf for them and saw Mark come out from hiding. I came back up to him and simply asked on camera why I can't buy 1 gift card and he just kept saying "Sorry." He obviously wouldn't say the reason he told me off camera because he knows he's going to get in trouble for making up a reason. He ended up running away again, so I left the store with 0 gift cards and 30 minutes of my time wasted. Nice! Corporate will be getting an email about my experience tomorrow, and I'll be calling the district manager as well. One, was looking for a Gold Flame vine, only Lowe's had it, but I had to order and was a bare root. I thought I was going to be disappointed, not much action for months, then? It took off running! Another thing is the GREAT service and staff at this location. From Wendy of gardening (She is a "can do" type like others), to Kim, Abigail, and Tina and Jen of cashier/customer return) to my main floor man who really saved me $ on hardware for my tillers (Earthquake), a Navy veteran named Christopher. Thoroughly disappointing and frustrating curbside experience recently at this store. Rude staff and effete management. On the first call, I was assured that my order would be out shortly. Ten minutes later, I realized that was probably not going to happen. I made at least three more calls, some were immediate music on hold, others were hang ups when I couldn't provide the order number fast enough. Finally, after hanging out in the parking lot for 25 minutes, one more call as I PPE'ed up and headed into the store. When I got to the doors, I saw two staffers standing idle at the customer service desk. The male who answered my call (Brady) clearly was incapable of handling an upset customer that he had provoked. So I politely asked him to his manager. The manager couldn't stop apologizing, but she was also making excuses about a busy day with over 100 orders and a store in chaos. Funny, two idle staffers don't look busy and it didn't look particularly chaotic. She got an earful. Now that I'm writing this review, I can see that others have had similar issues here. Oddly enough, the next day I needed something else, so I picked it up at the Lowe's on Shoal Creek. One call, less than 2 minutes to my trunk. Not necessary, but like a daylight and dark difference in service levels. The orange box store up the road can have my business until they get things corrected. Part 1: As of 8/13/23, I have had the worst customer service experience ever in my life with this establishment. If they manage to fix the situation, I'll update my review, but I'm not holding my breath. Here's what happened: I bought a refrigerator through Lowes on Brodie on 7/22/23. It took a long time to get help. I'm not sure if the guy was used to selling appliances or not. He only knew what the website told him so we scrolled together to see how I could get the type of refrigerator I wanted. I saw the same thing he did- the fridge I wanted could be delivered by 8/12/23. I bought it and was SO excited. I'm a single mom of a toddler and on a budget, so I have to plan these things out carefully. I planned and saved to have a water softener and filter installed in my house, followed by a new refrigerator. This is something I've been working on for a year. So I'm not just throwing a tantrum because I'm not getting what I want right now. I sold my current fridge, and arranged for the buyer to pick up the same day I was getting the new fridge. Friday 8/11/23 evening I had not heard anything about delivery and didn't even have an email. So I called and was told my scheduled delivery time in 8/12/23 would be 3pm-7pm. On Saturday 8/12/23, they said the fridge was never loaded onto the truck, so I had to schedule a redelivery for the next day. Fine, I get it. Stuff happens when your logistics departments are subpar. I was assured I was number 1 on the delivery list, so I could expect the delivery between 8am and noon on Sunday 8/13/23. Sunday 8/13/23 rolls around and late in the morning I find out the delivery window has been changed to 8/13/23 from 11am to 3pm. I call and was told the same thing- the fridge was never loaded on the truck. While making my way "up" the chain of command I am told, it was never loaded on the truck, but that it was in the warehouse in Kyle, Texas. I said, ok, that is an hour and 20 minutes from me, so get it on a truck and get it to me. Well, then, the answer changes. They actually don't know if it's in their warehouse. I ask them to please find it because I need this refrigerator today. I had taken all my food out of the fridge and freezer at 2:45 in anticipation for the fridge to be delivered by 3 and my current fridge to be sold and taken away. While waiting for them to find it, I call Lowes on Brodie to start escalating it on their end. The woman I spoke with first was nice enough, but put me on forever hold until it rang back and a man answered. I believe his name was Bryce. I'll go ahead and give the one star I'm providing to Bryce because he was the only person who sounded like he wanted to solve this problem for me. Problem is, his manager was not nearly as effective as he was. Bryce discovered in about 15 seconds that the fridge was actually out of stock, now until September 1st. Mind you, I am already MULTIPLE phone calls in at this point. The distribution center in Kyle (UST) called me at around the same time and said that they looked all over the warehouse and could not find it. Well, now we know that was a waste of time and resources since Bryce discovered in 15 seconds using the computer that the fridge wouldn't be in the warehouse. Still, I am grateful for their effort. Into the jungle I set search for the ever elusive "perfect color plant". It was thick in this garden center with lots of tropical foliage, shrubs, and various noncolor plants ... and my machete was flying this way and that to make my path. The light filtered in through leaves and branches just enough so that shadows flitted here and there dancing in my peripheral vision making me think I was being followed or stalked by some wild beast. Then out of no where I got the surprise of my life! I got asked if I needed any help!!!!! In my determination to seek out the elusive Color Plants I had stumbled across the even more rare "lawn and garden associate" and he was asking if I could use any help! I was so shocked I stumbled back and stammered... "no I'm just looking"... and with that he said ok, turned, and slowly disappeared into the foliage as if only an apparition in the first place. I should have taken a picture to prove that what I saw did really exist! But alas I was so stunned and surprised that my mind went numb... but believe me... my story is true! I didn't find what I was looking for... this jungle was pretty void of color annuals... but even though I doubt that anyone will believe me... Roofers, Don't do business here. Ordered roofing materials and was sent an email back confirming materials would be delivered, and (as typical) Lowes just (out of the blue) cancelled the order. This happens all the time with Lowes. They have a screwed-up system that does not communicate with the customer and the store. If I ran my business like they run their business I would be OUT OF BUSIBNESS in less than 30 days. This company does not understand the "customer service concept." But what is sad, they don't care. I came in to buy paint, and arrived to the store when they opened. The store seemed well managed and organized/well stocked. The lady in the paint department was helpful and knowledgeable, as she began to help me with my paint order. As the store became busier, she began to be short staffed and needed to attend to other customers, I told her I was not in a hurry and she could come back to finish my paint order. When I proceeded to check out, it was self checkout only. I had over $300 worth of paint products. When the bar codes were not scanning the machine required assistance. The women at the register, Elena, was on her cell phone. As I continued to wait and the line formed, she rudely approached me, as I was inconveniencing her. Then when I needed to remove an item, she refused to approach me at the register and yelled "I already removed it from here." She never took the product, I just left it sitting there. I am confused why she felt the need to be so angry and rude. We all have bad days, but it's not appropriate to take it our on the customers and refuse to do your job. As a business owner myself, I would not employ someone like Elena. When I returned home, I reviewed the receipt and found a discrepancy in the price of an item which she said would reduce at the end of the transaction. read more

The customer service is terrible here. The phone system hangs up on you if you're on hold for more than 10 minutes, which you can count on. I've worked in a big box store for years. Not only that, the scheduled install date is a week away and no permit has been filed with the city (as is required). I took a risk hoping this would be a hands-free contractor experience but it has been amateur hour from every direction. They are days away from breach of contract, don't have a permit, a site plan, or anything resembling intent to fulfill the contract. This Lowe's has ruined all Lowe's experiences for me. I ordered $3000 in large appliances on a Tuesday specifically for delivery on Wednesday. I was given two different windows for delivery from two different confirmation services -- one via email and one via text. When the later one came and went, I made 12 different calls to Lowe's customer service departments from corporate all the way down to the store trying to track down my significantly sized purchase to no avail. Legitimately, no one could help me determine where my items where, who had them, when or if they would be delivered, and what I should do next. Four hours after my delivery window passed, I got an automated text message saying the appliances would be delivered in 10 minutes. This was at 7:07 pm when I had finally left my home for the first time that day, after waiting from 9am-6pm on a delivery and installation that never came. I sped home and waited until 9pm when I finally decided the delivery was never coming. I was correct. (spoiler alert: fast forward one week, it's still not here) I finally got a hold of Darnell the delivery manager the next morning. He's somehow the ONLY one in the whole Lowe's corporation who can manage the deliveries from the Brodie store. He PROMISES up and down I'll remember exactly who he is, and that my items will be delivered the following Tuesday. He gives me 10% off my purchase price and is very nice about trying to correct the delivery as best he could. He fails. Monday comes and goes and there is no confirmation that my items will arrive the next day. I woke up the next day and immediately place a call to the store to find out when I can expect my delivery. I speak to two people at the store who have no idea what I'm talking about. The second promises to call me back. 30 minutes later he calls back and says there is no way the delivery can come out Monday, but he promises it will come tomorrow. I'm not holding my breath. This has been the absolute worst experience. I've spent $3000 and went from having next day delivery to having the possibility of maybe having my purchases delivered one week later. But if i meed assistance or need to place an existing order, I can never find anyone to help me. My current wait time standing in the window department has been 20 minutes. I want to give people my money, but since this place seems to be run by a lot of people who do not care, i continue to wait. If i had another local option, better believe i would be shopping elsewhere. Still might. If you are able to get in and out without talking to anyone or needing help, you're good to go. Zero stars. Worst experience ever. Bought a Samsung refrigerator on a Sunday. Lowe's missed the delivery on Tuesday and would not deliver until Thursday. No call no show on Thursday and took a pic of my neighbors house and said they attempted delivery. Had to call and reschedule for Saturday and figure out who the contracted delivery co was to make sure they would show. Delivery guys thumbs down. Even they recommended Home Depot. Took multiple phone calls to get a manger at the store and she said I bought the fridge from a third party when I paid in the store. They gave me a warranty. The warranty info is wrong. 1st they couldn't find it then they had my name and email wrong and the warranty length of time. More then 30 phone calls. Each week I got a message saying the delivery has been delayed. Almost 8 weeks later, I get an email saying my dishwasher was delivered and my credit card is charged. Nothing was delivered!! I tried their online chat support but the agent could not help. The online agent was asking me who was the delivery service. There was no delivery! I called their customer support next and the phone agent, while very polite, had no ability to fix the problem. Instead, she had to create a ticket with the store and now I have wait for the store to resolve it. This is the same store that dishonestly charged my card. I've found the Sunset Valley store to be well stocked and organized and personnel to be friendly and helpful. Not so their appliance delivery. I would give the store 5 stars and the delivery service 1 star. After failing to deliver my appliance on the scheduled day, they did nothing to contact me with the status or new delivery time. I called them and found that they had dropped the ball entirely and expected me to figure this out and initiate a new delivery from scratch, and their closest delivery date turned out to be 3 days after the original date. I feel they should keep better track of incomplete deliveries and give them priority rather than abandon the process completely. The people at the store tried to help but seemed to have the same experience with them as I did. read more

Buyer beware! I ordered a refrigerator from Lowes and due to their faulty attempt at installing the ice maker the lines froze. I spent several hours over multiple days (mostly on hold) trying to get them to fix the problem. After calling every other day for over a week-- the midst of a move, I might add-- they didn't call me back. Finally , someone sent an email referring me to the manufacturer. I called again today and the rep told me that's my only recourse 48-hour return window has expired. It's almost like they were trying to confuse the communication over a problem that they caused so they could pawn it off on the manufacturer. The rabbi spoke too today said said "we delivered a functioning fridge and a functioning ice maker." Apparently, it didn't really doesn't matter if they don't function together or whether it was Lowe's inept attempt at the hook up is what caused the problem. They took no responsibility for it. I recently had a new roof installed. There werecmany problems. Here is the email I sent and the response. Needless to say, it has now been 21 days with no outreach or response. To Whom It May Concern: I would like to issue a complaint and to also see if my account might possibly be credited for now-needed repairs that resulted from an installation at my home. Recently, I had a new roof installed by Lowe's. Firstly, I was stunned that there was no customer service follow up after I gave such a bad review on the survey I completed after the work was completed - I truly expected someone to at least reach out after that... The installation itself was wrought with multiple issues, but did finally get completed months after it was expected to be completed - but that is it's own situation. My problems that I'd like addressed (in some way) are: Due to the leak into our kitchen from rain, due to the roof having not been adequately covered in case of rain, there were repairs made to the ceiling by the installers. The problem here is that when they made the repairs, they used paint that was a different color from the rest of the ceiling, so now the entire kitchen ceiling needs to be repainted.  But, that's not the main issue. The main issue is that now that the weather has warmed up, I was cleaning my pool. All over the bottom of the pool, there are now rust spots from the nails, etc that were used to install the roof. I also had a very difficult time getting all of the nails out of the pool - but the big problem is all of the rust spots all over the bottom of the pool.  I am a reasonable person and would normally not think much about it - would figure it was accidental, were it not for the fact that our fountain in the front of the house was full of (literal) handfuls of nails - as though the person(s) doing the clean up had placed handfuls (yes, it was a lot) of nails into the fountain, rather than placing them in an appropriate receptacle while doing the clean up - Yes, I am stating that the nails in the front fountain appeared, due to the volume of them, to be intentional. As to the rust spots all over the bottom of the pool - nearly the entire surface of the bottom of the pool is covered with very unsightly rust spots. It is going to need to be repainted - at a minimum. I would like to ask that my Lowe's account be credited a reasonable amount to aid in the cost of this unexpected expense that was obviously caused by the negligence of the roof installers.  I have attached photos that show the rust spots that are located throughout the bottom surface of the pool - there are lots of these spots, the photos only show sections, in order to show you what I am referring to in this email. Even though no one ever reached out about the survey I completed - as one would think any good customer service oriented business would have done - I would like to hear from someone as to how my account might be credited, at least some amount, to assist with this unexpected, costly repair.  I look forward to receiving a positive and adequate response regarding this matter.  Hello, Thank you for contacting Lowe's.
