Well I'm sad to discover the store is now closed for good. I went to this store often to buy all sorts of things. It was the only place I could buy V cups for my Keurig coffee machine. I should've realized something was going down when they stopped carrying them about 8 months ago. I'm told the last day was June 4th. So it's recent. I haven't been shopping there since late April. Now it's just gone. The one at South Park Meadows is gone as well. I'm not sure what happened as every time I went shopping there, the store was busy. I submitted an order on the 27th, with the understanding that I would receive my order on the 29th. The immediate email I received upon processing my order blatantly stated "delivery date Jan 29th". I have called them every day since, I guess it's really on me for thinking there would be such a quick turn around. While I try to sleep on a hard floor in anticipation of ever learning when the warehouse even receives my order, the customer service keeps saying "rest assured". I can't rest, I have nothing to rest on. If the email said delivery date: feb 4th, I'd believe them, but also immediately cancel my order, and search for an option where I can go and pick it up myself. The customer service tells me to ' "rest assured" the warehouse will send you an email when the item is collected for shipping'. They offered me $60 in-store credit, lol and their biggest coupon (25% off). read more

This review isn't specifically or entirely about this location but about the experience as a whole. The part most relevant to this location is that they have nothing in stock. When trying to order online for curbside pickup there are no options. Had a nightmare experience with a small baby registry and haven't been able to get any of my items or the promised registry coupon codes after extensive effort on my part. If they actually had anything in stock here I could bypass the hours on the phone and go through a store rep but alas no luck there either. Wouldn't again bother to make a registry with these folks and suggest just saving yourself the trouble altogether by going to a store that actually stocks things, has a better online and customer service experience, and honors the promotional promises they make. read more

I bought a pet stroller in April 2021, it broke after 4-5 uses. Not usable at all. I asked for a return and it was processed late April to early May. I had to drop it off but then I got COVID, unable to move or do anything for 2 months. After I was finally better I tried to drop it off but it was returned to me. After hours of talking to customer service over the phone they would not do anything for me at all. They said I could try to go to the store to see if they would give me credit or anything, I almost gave up honestly Bc at that point it wasn't worth the hassle. We visit BB&B now and then, especially when items we need are on sale. Their coupons are still honored after expiration dates and if you have enough, 20% EACH item is a good thing! This is a perfect place to get things for sending students off to school and also some nice things for the house. They also have all kinds of little items off in corners for "Hey! I'll bet you didn't know you can't make the perfect sugar cookie without an Oxo Medium Cookie Scoop. I tried this over the weekend with a melon baller. It worked great; the cookies exactly resembled store bought 'Nilla Wafers, except they were sugar cookies. The knock was that they needed to be larger. I gathered that when Dad said "Tastes like more". (See, I'm intuitive that way) So, my theory must be true. Therefore, I simply had to go here to get the last Oxo Medium Cookie Scoop BB&B had. The quest for the perfect sugar cookie...remember? Now, according to the Southpark store, the Brodie store was supposed to have 20 in stock. Which is clearly why I managed to buy the last one. Called in asked about a certain item and was immediately transferred to the department that pertained to the item I was calling about. Of course no one in the department picked up and the call was connected back to the front desk again By the third time before they could transfer the call I asked not of it was possible for them just to go ahead and answer my wuI was told that they were way too busy which was the store was about to close in 30 minutes and that shehe was with a customer. So I took a chance and drove to the store itself only to find the person that had answered the phone was actually chatting away with another employee and not with a customer as I had been told. Why am I smiling back? I find the sought-after shower curtain and end my experience. The cashier offers to have it gift-wrapped (for free of course) and I make my way to the front of the store to wait. Employees make small talk with me and actually find me a few isles back, passing time. They present me with my gift and ask me to return. And you know what...I just might. read more

Holy. Cow. I've always loved Bed, Bath, and Beyond. It's like the Disneyland for avid cooks. Rows and Rows of silicone spatulas line the walls. Even the staff is well mannered and friendly. That pleases me. However, one thing that makes this BBB stand out is that they have regular toiletry items. Toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, family planning supplies, make up, and soap for the same price as most gigantic store prices or cheaper. One item that is 13.47 at Randall's was 7.99 at BBB. And you can also use your $20% off or $10 off $30 purchase coupon that comes in the mail. Also, they take expired coupons. Buying deodorant for the 100+ degree heat for a lower price? Good. Bed Bath & Beyond, I don't enjoy shopping at you. You feel very cluttered and unorganized. (I will not comment on the irony that you sell products to fight those very two things.) We registered here for our wedding registry and it was a gawd-awful experience. It sort of went like this: BBB dude: WE ARE SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!! Us: Great...look, just give us the registry gun... BBB dude: BUT HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT WHAT YOU NEED??!! HERE'S A LIST OF WHAT WE THINK YOU MIGHT NEED!! WHAT ABOUT THIS??! LOOK HOW AWESOME THIS CHINA IS!! STEP ON IT! (At this time, he has my husband stand on some china cup...really) Us: Um, we weren't really planning on getting china, we're looking for something more casual... ** this conversation is going on in the BBB registry "office" -- I feel like I'm at a car dealership going for the hard sell. Dude, we're already here. You don't have to hard sell us on your registry services.,,, So after forever of chit chat, we finally get the gun and BBB dude starts to follow us around the store...the WHOLE store...it wasn't until about a third of the way around I realized he wasn't leaving... ** BBB dude: I JUST GOT MARRIED!! WE REGISTERED FOR THIS AND THIS...THEY ARE AWESOME!!! Us: we already have a lot of stuff, we don't really need that... BBB dude: HOW ABOUT THIS? WOULD YOU LIKE ONE OF THESE? Us: Um, no, I don't really like that... BBB dude: THIS ONE? ** at this point I realized just clicking things on to the registry would make him quiet and would make this process go by a hell of a lot faster ** As we turn in our gun to upload stuff, apparently BBB dude didn't think we "went crazy enough" with our registry. Apparently BBB dude has a much larger kitchen that we do to store all this stuff in. So, in summary, we walked out of BBB with a whole bunch of unneeded crap on our registry because I am too much of a wuss to tell BBB dude that we don't need his assistance. We promptly went home and deleted most of it. Yay! BBB gets two stars for having A LOT of stuff -- some of it crap, some of it useful. The third star comes from the fact that seemingly every week I get a 20% off coupon. I would never think of buying something at BBB without using that coupon. read more

She dropped F-bombs infront of me and other customers when she couldn't figure out how to make a price change. I don't want to complain for 10 paragraphs so I'll summarize. - no one was working the registers so I had to wait -once someone came she acted like It was a huge inconvenience for me to buy something -my emailed 20% off coupon wouldn't work and she tried her hardest to refuse me 20% off, despite the fact that this company gives out 20% coupons every weekend. I understand that retail is not a fun job (I worked it for 6 years) but you really shouldn't treat the customer like they aren't worth the paper the 20% coupons that you mail out EVERY SINGLE WEEK are printed on. overall won't be back to this location ever again. For a store called Bed, BATH and Beyond, they've got some skeezy bathrooms! I usually avoid big chains, but had no idea where to find a nutcracker. Once I was in the store, I still had no idea where to find a nutcracker, but within a few moments, a friendly employee helpfully located it on my behalf. The options were super cheap and made in China. Where _does_ one find local, organic, raw kitchen gadgets? sigh. PS. I checked at Whole Foods also: two options, made in China or made in India. I honestly believe this is how you do business, you ignore customers in the store, hang up on customers who call and ignore emails so you don't have to work. Hell Yeah-BBB you rule. I bitch alot about products. A Lot. So much that once a friend, after hearing a particular bitching, told me to to take it back to BBB. I told him it was a gift, from our wedding 10 years ago and it was from Bloomingdales in NY (in case you are wondering it was a Le Crueset pan) Skeptically, I took it back to BBB~ 2 minutes later, no paperwork, I had a new one. (this is a $200+ pan that was 10 years old, I was dumbfounded) I have repeated the procedure at LEAST 5 times. To offset my retail karma, I now buy ALL my shitty appliance/ cookware/ linen type stuff here. Not my fave place, but the store policy and service definitely influences where i shop for (and return) this type of stuff. read more

I usually love shopping at BB&B, but my last experience was pretty poor. I went in looking for a specific stockpot I found on the website. After looking over the few items they actually carried in the collection (all of the super expensive stuff, of course) we finally ran into an employee and asked for help. She glanced at the products on the shelf, told us that if it wasn't there, they didn't have it. I asked if they might have it at another store. She replied that this was the biggest store in the city, so if they didn't have it, it was unlikely that anyone else had it. Um, ok, thanks for your help. She did offer to order it, but I'd have to pay for shipping because they don't do site-to-store. Lame. I ended up going to another store, where an employee ordered the stockpot for me, let me use (and keep) my 20% coupon and waived the shipping. Score! read more

I have been a BB&B customer for MANY years and the Brodie store is absolutely the most helpful and nice. I love to shop online (it's easy to do) however, I find that with BB&B I get better deals by going in to the local store. They always let me use as many coupons as I have items. They also almost always give me free shipping to my home for items they have online or for items I purchase for gift registries (plus they do free gift wrap). Now, they just need to give customer service advice to the stores around them... read more

Used this BB&B for college through their pack & hold system which was seamless. We ended up buying the other small, forgotten items in the same trip too because the staff was so accommodating, receptive, and available. It was never an issue finding an employee to help locate certain items or ask for advice on miscellaneous products. I am not a fan but my wife just abouts drags me to this place once a month. They have everything you need for just about all occasions. Wedding Registry: First of all this thing like helped our marriage...seriously. When we went there we had someone help us put together our wedding registry. I didnt think we would need the person but person knew ALL too well what couples do when they are going through this process. THEY FIGHT! Oh man, it was terrible and the women that helped us was like a veteran of the process, she helped discuss things and helped us find solutions, I dont think I could have made it through the whole process without here. Prices: The prices are high, but the quality is good. Yes, you have to buy one place set of silverware for $40 at least, but they last forever (so says my wife) We have had our silverware for 3 years now and its really still quite nice. Everything can always be 20% off. NEVER PAY FULL PRICE. Join the club or sign up for it before you get to the store, I wish their coupons stacked though. Clearance: If you go there with someone small in mind, you might find it for 50% off, plus an additional 20% if you have a coupon. So, it ends up being worth it to buy that $100 scale for just $30 instead. You kinda have to get lucky though. Often they have curtains and sheets. We buy a lot of really cheap sheets on sale. That helps us man the guest bedroom without have to pay an arm and a leg or go to Goodwill. Gifts: I always go here for gifts, its quite nice and they also gift wrap for you. Even if you buy from them online they will gift wrap it for you. Overall, its pretty useful in our lives. read more

I really like this place because they honor their coupons even though they are out of date and let you use multiple ones at the same time. I really like that they added a health and beauty section. They actually have good prices for BBB. They have a travel size section where you can find anything you need for your travels. They have a wide selection of bedding, bath stuff and kitchen stuff. If you are looking for a kitchen gadget, they probably have it. The availability of staff could be better and everything isn't priced. The clearance section could be more organized. I love this place. I love all the gadgets, all the possibility! I think if I can finally get a decent spatula, I can finally get my eggs out of the frying pan in one piece! No, but really, they have everything and then BEYOND! (haven't found the entrance to that part yet). The peep's here are nice, they've opened up the entrance a lot, but I wish they'd do the same with the isles. This place is crazy most days, but especially during busy times (late afternoon and weekends). End up having to wait a lot behind browsers. They take coupons that are expired, and the check out person will help you figure out which one gets the best deal. GOOD TO NOTE: if you bring back in your receipt, and didn't use a discount, you can go to customer service (to the right of the entrance) bring your coupons, and get the money back. Both times he acted like he was interested in what was going on. When I returned the pillow he agreed that it wasn't the best and recommended another one. It was shocking how much he cared. What can I say about Bed, Bath, and Beyond? They have lots of stuff for your bedrooms, bathrooms, and beyond rooms. I've shopped at this location many times and the staff has always been friendly, helpful, and never aggressive to sell me things. Unlike other reviewers, I think the store is organized well, though the layout is slightly frustrating. If you want to get from one side of the store to the other, you have to loop around the middle, b/c there are no doors through the middle (thanks for those, IKEA!). read more

Really terrible customer service. I came in to buy a couple of small items, then had difficult telling which registers were open. I walked up to one line, where an irate woman was on the phone with her bank. The cashier didn't say a word to me, just irritably pointed to customer service. I wasn't sure that they did check outs. I saw what appeared to be a manager and started to ask him where to check out, and he cut me off to say he was just opening up a new register. Then he walked right by me and pulled someone else out of line and said he could help them. He never answered my question and just walked off. I was taken aback at the rudeness. Can't say enough about this place! There is always amazing customer service. When I walk in, there is always an employee walking around wanting to know if I need help. Even when I say : "I am looking for something for my ....as a present" They are great for ideas. I had purchased a couch cover there a while back, decided I didn't like how it didn't fit my couch that well. I didn't have a receipt, there was no packaging container with me, and they couldn't find it on the website. They still gave me full store credit for it! I was sure I bought it there, and they believed me. Wouldn't you know it when we moved a couple months later, I found the package it came from, thus proving I wasn't crazy. Well, at least not about that! :-) It is more expensive than some places, but the coupons always seem to make up for that, and the customer service is worth it. I wish the parking spaces were bigger, because as it is everywhere in Austin, the spaces are too small and everyone seems to drive an SUV. read more

Thanks to Bed Bath and Beyond at Brodie Lane for offering up the worst customer service experience I had in 2015. While checking out the cashier said, "I can take you over here". Then she walked behind one register and down two more. When my wife asked "This side?", the cashier rolled her eyes and said, "yeah" in an extremely condescending tone. My wife kept a smile and remained calm. Then the cashier actually tossed the receipt at her and didn't say a word. Not even a "Thank you for shopping here". After searching three stores before I got to bed bath and beyond I finally found the color napkin linens that I needed. They match my plates perfectly. But they only had five of the six that I needed on the shelf!!! When I checked out the cashier asked if I meant to buy five and I told him those were the only ones I could find and he said he would call someone over to check the back to see if they had any more. A guy came over to help me look in the area I found the first five. After no luck he decided to go look in the back. Still no luck so he called over a manager looked it up in the system to see if they had any more at other stores which of course they were all completely out. However the system said their store should have a total of seven. So the assistant and the manager decided to go look in the back again. After searching a second time they finally found the rest of the napkins that matched my set! They were set down in a different location. Most stores wouldn't care about get those extra couple of dollars but because the customer service was so excellent my thanksgiving dinner table will now be perfect! - happy customer. read more
