It's dog friendly, and they even have treats for your pet up front at the checkout stand. They have regular sales, and their prices are competitive on bird seed, which has gotten quite expensive everywhere. Some friends of mine were visiting from out of state and from east Texas, and they specifically asked to go there. They found items they loved and bought them, and we had a good time shopping together there. I especially enjoy this time of year when they have baby chicks. I haven't bought dog food here, but they have a huge selection, so I'll probably check it out the next time I visit.

Great supply of battery operated hand tools, including a good selection of Porter Cable tools. One warning: Watch the pricing at checkout. We had two items that did not ring up properly (overcharged). The clerk was not very helpful and debated the pricing. We had to walk back, take photos, and show the clerk the photos. Only with photographic evidence of the proper sales price did the clerk reluctantly adjust the price. And no apology for the overcharging either. In one instance, the overcharging was $69.00 (proper price was $200 and the system rang it up at $269.00). I included a photo of the listed price of a Porter Cable impact wrench that rang up at the register for $269. I do find their clothing to have frequent sales making their prices competitive. Most of their other items (dog food, bird seed, etc) seem higher to me than competitors like Walmart, HeB, but I feel better spending money here than at Walmart or HEB. The employees are always friendly and helpful.

That…read moreparticular shelf was in a shambles and I had to go thru several diffferent Ubolts as they were all mixed up, but that is not what my complaint is. When I found the items I needed I headed to to register, where I found one female cashier behind a register with a customer and their was obviously a problem with his transaction. There was also a tall male employee standing behind this cashier. There was a "REGISTER CLOSED" sign behind this customer's merchandise, so I went to the next register but there was no cashier there. I stood there for several minutes thinking maybe the male employee would step over and check us out. He looked at me several times as did the female cashier but NEITHER acknowledged our presence, or told us someone would be with us momentarily. Finally the male employee SLOWLY sauntered off to the clothes section. We waited several more minutes with no one even acting like we existed, then finally placed our merchandise on the counter and left. The female cashier saw this and NEVER SAID A WORD to us. There were other employees in the store as I had heard them speaking loudly in the back room. It's a sad state of affairs when an employee can't even take the time to acknowledge a customer and tell them that help would be along momentarily. From now on I will travel to the Blanco store where the employees have been trained properly.

I've been trying to make a service appointment for three weeks. Within 4 years with light use the tractor needed the entire fuel system replaced and through the 4 years had a plethora of other issues. When I would call the parts and service people didn't know their tractors and it showed. I tell you this because after being quoted $5,000 dollars to replace the fuel system and a warranty of a whopping 30 days I decided it was time to part ways with the Mahindra. I called all three of the tractor dealers in Seguin and was very pleased with the service at Ewald. After hours and hours of research I decided to give Kubota our business. Austin Gay made the process extremely easy and enjoyable. Any time I have questions he has gotten the information I need as quickly as possible. I bought the tractor in May of 2017 and minus hitting a stump and bending a shredder blade yesterday I've had absolutely zero issues with the Kubota l4701 we bought. I cannot speak highly enough about Austin and the people I've come into contact with at Ewald. Because of the service I received during my tractor purchase I decided to also purchase a new weed eater there. I had my mind made up on a Sthil weed eater when I arrived, however Austin said I should buy the Echo SRM280t. Again he steered me in the right direction. That weed eater is a monster. It has had no problem cutting through my thick weeds and even some small mesquite. I highly recommend the echo. Today I called to get the information of the shredder blade I bent. The salesman got my the price and specs on it within a few minutes. What impressed me the most about that was when I showed up the gentleman had taken notes and written the part number down. Mind you I didn't tell him I would be coming to pick it up. Excellent customer service!!! Stuff like makes the buying process so much nicer and easier than some of the other places around here. If you're in the market for new equipment please give Ewald a call. All my future business will be conducted with them!!
