I swear I died and went to heaven! My entire life. I've been such a fan of the Ballard catalogs, but have never lived near a brick and mortar shop. When I saw that this was right around the corner from the hotel I was staying at, I made sure to carve out at least 90 minutes to walk through the store and touch every single thing. The staff was friendly and helpful and answered all the questions I had. I personally wasn't offered a beverage, but I did hear them offering beverages to people as they entered. If I had been thirsty, I would have been brave and asked for a beverage myself. The store is beautifully designed and laid out, the furniture. The high quality I always expected it to be. The colors beautiful and bright. This really was just a dream come true for me to be able to browse through the store of my design fantasies. read more

Kristan enjoyed the whimsy of my aesthetic and got right into the mode of doll house decor. Horrible Experience with Back Office I love Ballard Products and ordered just under $3k of items for a mini-remodel of a bedroom. The sales team in Austin was great and helped me over a zoom call choose really nice items. I ordered multiple items at the end of May. Some of the items came and the bedframe was nice, I tried to return the comforter and it took about a month after they accepted delivery for them to send me a check. I have no idea why they simply didn't credit my card on a timely basis. Now I'm stuck in limbo on some drapes which they told me last month would arrive in late July. I have been a faithful customer of Ballard Designs, Frontgate and Grandin Road for over 10 years. After relocating to Georgetown, TX from Los Angeles, CA, I couldn't wait to decorate my new house in everything I've been coveting from Ballard Designs. I made the bulk of my purchase in July 2023 and was persuaded by the store associate to apply for the Ballard Designs credit card offered through Comenity Bank because they were offering double bonus points during that time. Unfortunately, Comenity Bank did not fulfill their promise to award the double points to me. In fact, I had to contact the Austin store manager Carrie numerous times just to get the "regular points" awarded to me. After over a year patiently working with Carrie to get the remainder of the bonus points awarded to me what I encountered at the end is silence and disregard from the Ballard Designs local team and regional leadership. My biggest regret is signing up for the Ballard Designs credit card because I was sold a bill of goods that neither Ballard Designs nor Comenity Bank could delivery on. I still love the products at Ballard Designs but this experience has definitely left a very bad long lasting impression I have for this organization. Let this be a warning to all potential Ballard Designs customers: DO NOT under any circumstance sign up for their store credit card because you will be dragged into a long saga just to get what is rightfully promised to you, if you're lucky. I have attached screenshots of my text communication with Carrie at the Austin store showing that she actually received written confirmation from Comenity Bank where they acknowledge an error was made on their end. Staff is pretty unfriendly!!! About 10 staff members and I made it through the entire store without someone asking if they could help me...I was the only customer in the store! Please get off your high horse...for Pete Sakes you are working in a retail store!!! As a huge shopper this is a total turn off! read more

The salesperson that helped us was absolutely incredible. Aya is brilliant when it comes to design and customer service. She gets 5 stars. Her manager was actually rude to her in front of us. We blew that off, so as not to have Aya in an awkward position. We paid $1500 for incredible chairs and cushions. That payment posted. We were told at the time that the cushions would be a month behind the chairs. Chairs were delivered quickly and are incredible. A week or so after chairs were delivered, I started getting $1500 attempted charges from Ballard every few days. We went to the store and spoke with Bonnie(super nice). She said there was a new system and it had been messy. She said she would push it up the chain and get resolution. The attempted charges kept coming. Carrie, called and said she was working on it a few days after that. The attempted charges kept coming. We stopped by the store today to let them know it hadn't been resolved. Bonnie(still super nice) said that Carrie pushed it up the chain Tuesday but still hadn't heard back. She pulled up the account and saw the barrage of attempted charges. She said she would check with Carrie again later and they would resolve it. She tried to call customer service couldn't get through. Bonnie said that it was pretty much impossible because customer service was inundated with calls about the new ERP. I asked for leadership contact info. She said she couldn't give it out. I asked to leave my info and she laughingly said that they wouldn't contact me. Unintentionally insulting. We got in the car and left. We called customer service on our own and got straight through. We told them of the travishamockery that was going on. No real answers. She did inform us that the cushions wouldn't ship until November instead of the four weeks agreed to originally. Still, no help on stopping the nearly daily attempts at charges for the entire original amount that was processed and posted the day we bought the items. We are not special. I have a large business, myself. We have problems. Shrugging your shoulders and doing nothing has ever crossed my mind as a solution for a customer with an issue. Hiding doesn't work either. The cushions going from four week delivery to November is a problem. The over $10,000 in attempted extra charges is a problem. Both bad enough but things happen. Should be easily rectified. The hiding and insulting attitude of "our chain of command is busy, they can't talk to you" is the issue. I'm busy too. I care enough about my customers to make time. read more
