we had a LVT installed through out our first floor. Brian helped us pick the perfect LVT and scheduled its installation rather quickly. They moved all heavy furniture demoed out ceramic tile and carpeting. They covered everything in plastic and kept the dust down to a minimum. They showed up when they said they would and installed in floors and baseboards in 3 days. However the issue was that one of the baseboard seams was not even. Yet another project completed, using Flohr for our carpet purchase and installation. Brian knew exactly what was in stock, and what could take a long time to receive, based on ongoing inventory issues. He showed us some examples, went over the price ranges, then we picked our colors and pad, and voila'! He had it installed on the day I requested, and as usual the installers did an excellent job. We had Flohr install nearly 2000 sq ft of flooring 2 weeks ago and about 200 ft of tile. I couldn't be happier with the results. Phil came over to our house and showed us several options and took measurements for our house. He came back with a bid the next day. No pressure to buy and Phil made sure to explain how the entire process would work. What made the difference for me was the level of detail provided by Phil. Explaining the entire process in detail gave me and my wife a sense of confidence that they knew what they were doing. We ended up selecting a different wood product a few days after the estimate was provided and Phil quickly provided a new estimate. The entire installation process took about 3 days. Jose was the foreman for the installation. Again, he talked us through the process and what was going to happen. I hired Brian Pousson with FLOHR multiple times, starting several years ago and I am surprised I have not submitted a review of his great work until now. Brian installed all the flooring, shower and tub surrounds and kitchen backsplash walls for a guest house several years ago. That was when I first noticed his attention to detail. As an example, the backsplash line in the kitchen was not up to his level of acceptance and he made his guys remove and correct it, even though I could not tell it was off a little. The next project he completed for us was a full master bathroom remodel where they removed a heavy bathtub and replaced it with a walk-in shower. The tile shower walls and flooring looked great - what a difference that made! His design worked with the existing plumbing and drain lines but improved the look and feel 500%. Our most recent project was to replace the carpet in a game room. The "commercial grade" carpet was a perfect choice for the high foot traffic and occasional spills from my kids and their friends. This was the second time we used Flohr, and for this job we used them to install wood floors in three bedrooms - hoping to match the existing flooring throughout the house. We ran into delays with the shipment, had some communication issues with Sales, and unfortunately did not get a great match on the floor color. Some of the issues we ran into were definitely due to COVID, but most of it could have been avoided with better communication and follow through (for example, we were repeatedly promised that they would drop off a sample, but they never did - hence the colors not matching well). However, when it came to the actual install, they did a 5-star job. The crew knocked out the work, including moving furniture, adding thicker baseboards, and full cleanup (even mopping up in the their socks), in 8-hours flat. Impressive. read more

I have ordered product from Flohr before and had a positive experience which is why I returned. I made another order through a sales guy who informed me that he would be leaving the establishment for another endeavor shortly after I placed my order, which is fine. I paid via CC authorization for my flooring and trim pieces which is what they require you do. I was not informed until my flooring came in that my trim pieces would not arrive until a week later which was the first time I was hearing of this, and my sales guy knew I was on a tight deadline. I had another company install the floor since this was going into an RV and they don't offer a warranty for install inside a moving vehicle. The installer brought its own trim pieces since mine had not arrived yet. I never received a call from Flohr when my order came in. I went into the store and I was told that they don't have access to any other sales consultants files so they couldn't access my order. They said the trim pieces were not in the store. I was informed that my issue would be resolved quickly and that this was not how they did business. I followed up the next day and was told a manager would call. I didn't receive a call. Two days later I called (today) and was told that their servers got a virus and all of their files were lost which is why I hadn't gotten a phone call. I was also told by Bryan that I can take or leave the information I was being given but that he didn't care. I was also told my issue was a "he said, she said" issue. Then I was hung up on. I have very little tolerance for a lack of customer service especially when I just spent close to $1000 but have not received merchandise that I paid for. That is stealing. And severs being down should have no bearing on whether I get a phone call from the manager letting me know that they care about me as a customer and that the issue will be addressed. I will never shop here again for my flooring needs. The disregard for me as a valued customer was shocking, as well as the poor customer service, and lack of communication. A complaint will be filed with the BBB and if you value your time and money, don't shop here. read more

Enrique is very helpful and knowledgeable. It was a very easy process and affordable to get my living room's carpet replaced with laminate wood. Selection was great and turn around time was quicker than I imagined. I didn't shop around too much before choosing Flohr, but the price was more reasonable than i had i budgeted for. I went back recently to do my stairs in the same style laminate and it was even easier the second time 'round. By the time you let the workers in, they're loading their truck with your old carpet. Even if they hadn't been the most affordable place in town and even if they hadn't had *exactly* what we were looking for after store after store of *almost there*, I think we still would've bought from here anyway. We walked in knowing the exact square footage we needed and our max budget for everything (tax, glue, t-strips, wood), which certainly made Corey's job easier. It can be real easy to walk in thinking you know what you want to spend and then fall in love with a beautiful acacia floor that's twice your budget. Once we had narrowed everything down, he let us take home a few samples (the big ones, not the tiny pieces of wood you get from Lumber Liquidators or Floor & Decor) for the weekend so we could see how it looked in the light of our own home. Boy, that changed our mind real quick. Fast forward a few days and we've purchased our floors. Corey calls with the bad news. "Your floors are on backorder until June. I'm so sorry." That's not a big deal for some people, I know, but he'd heard our whole sob story about a flood and insurance being terrible and not having anything between our feet and the tar adhesive-covered slab, and he knew we needed this quick. That's when he offered to call the supplier to see if he could track down other distributors to piece together our order. At least half of it so we could get started, right? My hero. Fast forward a week or two later and somehow they have our whole order. It ain't even June yet! So I roll up to the warehouse today to pick up the floors and completely forget that I'm supposed to call them first to let them know I'm on my way. "Bing bong, I'm here for my floors." Well they're not there. Whoops. 20 minutes later, I get a call from the warehouse lady saying she's going to have the driver deliver them to me at work since I had come in on my lunch break. Going above and beyond even though I definitely had a bit of an attitude (sorry! I'm tired and stressed and it was only my fault!) puts this in 6 star territory, but Yelp won't let me go that far. So AJ rolls up with my floors, loads them into my car in the work parking lot, and now I can finally put something between my feet and the tar adhesive-covered slab. After months of struggling with insurance, contractors, adjusters, etc., I feel like I've slayed a dragon. One note of buyer beware: the glue we got here was $150 for 5 gallons, which is $50 more expensive than the same size at Lumber Liquidators. Get your glue there. read more

No one at Flohr will tell you this, so pay attention: GETTING THE FLOOR ADHEASIVE OFF THE TOP OF YOUR FLOOR ONCE YOU'RE FINISHED INSTALLING IS EVEN HARDER THAN INSTALLING THE FLOORS IN THE FIRST PLACE. Corey Cormier helped us with all our questions when we were buying, but for some reason he said mineral spirits would work for cleaning the dried glue once we were done. This turned out to be laughably untrue. We're now going through dozens of magic erasers and expensive chemical solvents to remove the glue, and probably damaging the stain on our otherwise beautiful new hardwood floors. The only other was the price for the glue. A five-gallon tub (MAPEI Ultrabond ECO 980) cost $150 here, though it's only $100 at Lumber Liquidators. We needed 12 gallons for our project, so we ended up spending WAAAY too much on adhesive. Get your floors here; get your glue elsewhere. And for the love of Jesus, wipe that shit up as you go. read more

After spending a good hour with barley any help from the salesman, the owner recommend their house carpet assuring me it would last as long and be as good as the national brand and gave me a GREAT deal..so that made me happy,. But now 8 months later, the carpet is showing wear, its coming up at seams and where it meets tile. Extremely dissappointed. Felt like they just wanted to get rid of the carpet. My husband and I are trying to patronize local businesses as much as possible, so we hit up Flohr when we decided to replace the carpets in our bedrooms. Chris, our salesman, was very helpful and informative, and we found something we liked fairly quickly. However, I am, by nature, a cheapskate, and wanted to see what the prices were like at HomeDepot before we committed. Off we went to HD, where we stood around the flooring department for about 15 minutes without anyone offering to help us. Back to Flohr! When we returned, Chris said he could follow us home to take measurements, and we scheduled the installation for the next week. Here's where things got a little weird. We removed all the small items from the rooms, including our firearms, and put everything in the garage. At some point, one of the installers handled our (loaded) guns, which I found a little inappropriate. Also, while moving our mattress, the mattress cover got ripped, which wasn't entirely their fault because it had a small tear in it to begin with, but it was torn so badly as to be unusable. I called Chris to ask about the mattress pad, and he said they'd be happy to cover half the cost of replacement, which I thought was completely fair, as it was a very expensive cover. He then asked me about the rest of our experience, and when I mentioned the installers had touched our guns, he was not very pleased. I might have taken off a star for the two negatives, but Chris handled them in such a respectful and professional manner, I felt they deserved the 5-star treatment. I came to Flohr after getting a quote for carpeting from Lowes. I would always prefer to patronize a local Austin business than a big-box retailer. After seeing all of the great reviews on Yelp for Flohr, I called them and spoke with Bruce. He came out the next day to do all of the measuring (and he measured almost 150 square feet LESS than Lowes.) The next day I went to the showroom and Bruce helped me find the right type of carpet and padding for our needs (2 adults, 1 toddler and 3 dogs.) The carpet and padding both were much better quality than the top of the line carpet from Lowes and the total price was about $600 less. The carpet was installed today, and we were SO pleased with all of the installers. They were promptly at my house at 9am. They moved out the furniture, pulled up the old carpet and padding, put down all of the new carpet (including stairs that flare at the bottom) cleaned up and were finished by 11:30. They were professional, courteous and efficient. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Flohr to everyone I know. They are top notch. read more

Why is it that you only redo floors as you're preparing to sell a house? I'd like to say I'm different, but I'm not. We decided to put our Pflugerville home (4BR, 3.5 Bath, 3 living, stairwell) on the market after 16.5 years of family bliss. It had original carpet throughout. Yuck! Chris Gibbs was our sales dude. He came to the house, measured everything, educated us on our options, and patiently put up with our changes. Flohr gave us written documentation on what to expect, how to prepare, and what the installers do and don't do. Their scheduler called and got it installed on the time frame we wanted. The install team was awesome. I had a singalong in my kitchen with the tile crew, but every one of their installers was prompt, professional, and knew what he was doing. We got a thousand compliments on how our house looked. I mean, anything would have been an improvement over that old cruddy carpet (2 kids and a dog later), but what we got was beautiful -- tile for baths, kitchen, and laundry room, vinyl plank downstairs, and carpet upstairs and in bedrooms. It was three days of tile work, a day for the vinyl plank, and a day for carpet. They offered to combine the last two, but we couldn't make it work on our end without a storage unit in our driveway. We initially had a bit of sticker shock, but when it was all said and done, they did a beautiful job at a great price point. I recently needed carpet replaced in only part of my home. Problem is how do I match my current carpet since it is several years old? Well I worked w/ Bruce at Flohr and gave him a small sample of my current carpet and a few days later Bruce calls to say he thinks he found a match. I went to look at the swatch and in the store it looked pretty close. So the team came out and I have to say they not only did a great job but were very professional! I did have one problem that Flohr was not able to fix...The new carpet was a perfect match, well that's not the problem obviously.
