The phone call enough would have been enough to make me feel better, but he even went on to give me and my fiance a gift card for dinner and reimbursement for any banking fees I incurred. Really a Fantastic experience. I met John at their showroom and took a look at their extensive offerings. We were replacing all of the carpet in our living room, dinning room and Master bedroom with hardwood and replacing the carpet in our master bath with tile. John was very helpful, professional and knowledgeable. I set a time for him to come to my home and give us an estimate. He was timely and provided a very competitive quote. We scheduled the work for the tile to be laid and wood flooring delivered one day and the wood floor laid the next. The tile guys had an issue and could not come the first day so in the end, everything was completed in a single day. The crew was courteous and professional and obviously knew their stuff. We had some water damage in our house and contacted Flohr because we had to have all of the hardwood floors replaced in our downstairs, and wanted two additional rooms done in hardwood while we were having the rest redone. They came out and did an estimate, and we went in to their nice showroom to pick out our flooring and they were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. We scheduled a delivery of our floors, unfortunately, they said one day and then came the next...I stayed home for no reason..but they were prompt the next day. They took 2 1/2 days, (they said two) and adhered to us needing them to leave a little earlier than expected on the first day, (hence the 2 1/2 days..our fault, not theirs!) - unfortunately that caused them not to be able to complete our master bedroom, and they left for the day with all of our master bedroom furniture put into our master bathroom. I had to crawl over the furniture and counter tops in order to get our bathroom stuffs for the morning...sort of lame. I think that if they would have done the floor boards instead of continuing the hardwood floor installation into the living room towards the end of the day, (as I had warned them first thing that I would need them to leave at 4 instead of staying until 6) this wouldn't have happened, but oh well. Just wish they had planned a little better. The workers were nice and courteous, showed up on time every day and got it done. They did an ok job cleaning up - my back porch area was in need of some sweeping, but the front porch area was nicely cleaned. The only other thing we had a problem with was that they put an extra piece of hardwood under the dishwasher, so we couldn't open it without the door scraping against the counter top - my boyfriend had to fix that. So, all in all it was a good experience except for a few minor instances of wtf - and we are pleased with the look and quality of our floors so far. Happily I had a great experience with Flohr as let's face it, new flooring (hardwood or carpet) is not a small investment! We worked with James at Flohr and he was very friendly and super available, came to the house to measure up and show us the various options related to our budget. The best part was that the price was "all in" at a per square foot basis, so you're not having to figure out the complexities of where the money is going. As far as the flooring team goes, they were superb; arrived at 8am and worked pretty much non-stop until 6pm to remove all the original flooring and tile and replaced it with the beautiful hardwood. It's been about a month since we got the work done and everything is great; very happy with these guys and you can go forward with confidence! Pro Tip: Get moving boxes from Home Depot or Lowes and start packing your stuff early to store in your garage; the less clutter that's in your house when the workers arrive, the quicker they can get done - just don't underestimate how long it will take - We needed 3 weeks! read more

We had wood floors (engineered), tile, and carpet put in through the entire house (five bedrooms, two story) late November to early December. Their crews are topnotch, and the follow-up customer service was great to address the inevitable minor follow-up items for a job this large. They have a good selection of wood floors, tile, and carpet from various manufacturers. Given the quantities involved, and the various manufacturers, it took a couple weeks to get all the material in. Once it was in, we agreed on scheduling, and they met all schedules, showing up on the day scheduled and even the time. For the wood, we selected a natural acacia engineered floor from a relatively new manufacturer and are very pleased. We had the stairs done in the wood, and they are beautiful. The wood installation crew took the time to make sure it was right. Corey and Brian suggested we consider turning leftover carpet into throw rugs, and we did. I recommend doing that as the cost is just "hemming" the edges and buying additional pad. The tile crew worked with us to lay the tile out in patterns that conveyed a look we were trying to achieve, working late into the evening of the first day to ensure we were in agreement. The carpet for five bedrooms took less than a day to install, and the carpet and pad are great. One suggestion: have your tile grout professionally sealed, and get a lifetime warranty on the seal if you have the sealer (SurfacePros, as recommended by Flohr) come out annually. Within a couple weeks after installation of the tile (even with Maximizer in the grout), we could already tell the grout would end up being a cleaning headache (put a few drops of water on your grout; if it changes color, it's not adequately sealed). read more

We first visited Flohr - based solely on Yelp reviews - when we thought we were buying a different house. We needed to get an idea of how much carpeting would cost us and Phil was terrific in not only telling us immediately what it would cost for the entire job (based on our preliminary measurements) but recommended a similar product that was less expensive but higher quality. We didn't follow back up because that house fell through, but Phil check in with us, which was nice. Once we found (and closed) on the right home, Phil came out and measured right away. There was some miscommunication about WHEN the installers could actually be scheduled (not on Phil's part) but Flohr made it happen when we needed it so we could continue our move as scheduled -- this was greatly appreciated. The actual installation took longer than we expected but overall we are very happy with a our beautiful carpet and our customer service experience with Flohr and Phil, specifically. I'm underwhelmed by my experience using Flohr to install new tile throughout our house, especially for the price. The sales process was great and went smoothly. They were able to schedule the installation quickly and we were guaranteed we had "their best team" working on it (we didn't ask, they just volunteered this information). There were a lot of issues with the finished product. SO, SO many air bubbles in the grout throughout the entire house that has left tons of holes in the grout. Some are/were small, but many are/were quite noticeable even from standing height and not when looking closely. There were also some issues with lining up the two types of tiles (we had one tile throughout and a different tile in just the bathroom) and it looked DIY to say the least (which they agreed with me on when I followed up and showed pictures). We received NO follow up from Flohr whatsoever after the installation was complete. My husband made some calls to address the issues and have them come out and look at them. About a week later their head of installations came out to see the issues in person where he made some excuses for the quality rather than taking accountability for them (including telling me that the air bubbles and holes were completely normal), although he did agree that everything should be fixed. He promised a quick follow up but we didn't hear back for two months, despite multiple attempts to check in (via phone and email). Eventually I went by in person to talk to someone and she was very helpful and the one who agreed that the finished product was not quality work and should be fixed after I showed her pictures. She said someone would follow up within a day and although it took several days, the head of installation did eventually follow back up with me. What I got was a lot of excuses about the delays but whatever, I was just glad it was going to get fixed. They sent someone out the next week to fix everything and it does look so much better. The person they sent had only been with the company for less than two months and told me he was shocked at the quality of the grout work the previous team had done and that the amount of air bubbles and holes we had was NOT normal whatsoever. Getting some holes over time is indeed normal to my understanding, but not the crazy amount we had (and unfortunately still have) throughout the house. He did a good job fixing things but unfortunately there are still tons of holes throughout the house that I keep finding. It's really disappointing to say the least. Also, we once again have not received any follow-up from the Flohr team to confirm that the work was done correctly. I guess they assume no news is good news? Overall, the floors do look good (especially when you're not closely examining them and notice all of the holes!) and we get a lot of compliments on them from our guests. I just wish their level of communication and accountability for fixing the problems would have been better. I'd give 3 stars on service and 3.5 on the final product. I would not recommend them to my friends or family and would look to use someone else in the future. read more

Worst company I have ever dealt with in my entire life-- and I had to work with a few. I hate writing negative reviews, but I want to save others the hassle, frustration, and waste of money that I went through. One big issue was communication: the salesperson who I worked with purposefully didn't tell me an important material fact about the flooring I chose. He had just started working at Flohr, and didn't see anything wrong with being misleading (I found out about this when I talked to another employee at Flohr). This pretty much violated my trust, but I wanted to give the company a chance to redeem themselves (they never did). Brian promised me that the floors would be perfect when done, and he "talks the talk" but doesn't "walk the walk." I have several imperfections in my flooring-- the tile looks like a DIY job gone bad. The contractor they used tried to do a good job, but it seemed out of his ability level. I had to get them to come back to fix a lot of items, clean the flooring before leaving (left mess everywhere, including splattering my walls and furniture). At one point, his child was helping to do work around the house (about 8 years old) which honestly didn't bother me as much as how slooooow it went. It was supposed to take a week-- took 2 weeks, despite Brian's promises. I'm going to leave out a lot of other pertinent information just because it's the internet, and I wouldn't be surprised if Flohr tried to sue me if I shared everything that happened. Basically, this experience was very traumatic. I was suicidal for a week after the floors were put in because it was so traumatic. I feel like they overcharged me by at least $2000-- the quality of the installation wasn't there, the materials didn't justify the cost. They never told me about ways to seal the grout in the tile, how I could make the tile go closer together-- basically, things I would have liked to known before installing, because I would have made different choices then. I feel their "service" is to catch their next customer, get them to sign a BINDING agreement (unlike other contractors where you pay as you go and don't pay unless you are satisfied-- with them, you are stuck with what you get, even if you aren't satisfied-- don't expect Brian to make it right, either). And some people (the more well-to-do ones) get lucky. Please go somewhere else. I've had great experience with The Tile Guy. read more

Chris ordered the wrong color of wood for us. So instead of having the carpet and wood installed over a weekend, it was spread out over two weekends. Chris told us that the wood installers would match the shoe molding to our baseboards if we provided the paint but failed to mention that they needed the paint ahead of time. So we wound up with bright white shoe molding and off white baseboards. A couple of weeks later they came back out to replace it with shoe molding that had been painted to match the baseboards. The carpet installers put a small - but noticeable - hole in the wall. They cleaned it up and did not tell us. There were communication issues throughout. Two employees (Chris and Katrina) told us we would be compensated for the inconveniences but we were not offered anything until I left a review. Then we were offered $200 (this was a $12,000+ project with multiple issues). Later on, the owner (Brian) told us that we were only offered $200 because fixing the mistakes (expediting the right color of wood, fixing the hole in the wall, etc) cut into their profits. We were eventually given $400 for all of the inconveniences along the way. At the end of the day, the wood and carpet look great but it was a huge hassle. read more

I chose Flohr based on the yelp reviews I read. I hope this will be helpful in assisting you with who to choose for your home remodel. Our sales gal was Shandeli. I give her 5 out of 5 stars. She has a wonderful personality and is stellar at helping with selecting products and assisting with decisions as well as keeping her appointments on time. I really like her and can't say enough good about her. You have to sign a contract and pay 100% of the job before they begin working on your project. After Shandeli's sales work was done, we were sent to the person in charge of setting up installation dates. Her name is Katrina. I give her one star for her unfriendly attitude and total lack of customer service. If any customer met with her BEFORE signing a contract and paying in full, they would run as fast as they can in the other direction. She did a good job setting up the installation dates quickly and easily. She completely lacks communication skills and when my husband tried to contact her to discuss exactly what would be happening the first day of instal, she totally refused a phone call and told him to look at his contract... bummer because maybe the following would've been avoided. The guys on the job the first day didn't protect the work area at all. They were the crew for our kitchen tile and backsplash. VERY NICE GUYS!! I really liked them. And they work so hard. However, they were using sledgehammers to break up tile in the kitchen. The tile flew and flung all over the house, so I was picking up tile chunks and shards out of our couch, living room floor, pets food dishes and off the fire place mantel and in a couple other places I'm still trying to figure out how tile landed there. The dust was carried about 1/4 inch thick throughout the entire house; upstairs included. They didn't seal off the A/C intake so it sucked up and blew dust in areas you'd never imagine. The counter tops in the work area weren't protected either. We had some damage to our lower kitchen cabinets. If they would've hung plastic to divide the work space, none of that would've happened. If Katrina had taken my husbands phone call to discuss this, he could have told her his expectations and it would've been done properly in the first place. Instead, I came home after this all went down and had to stop the guys from working and ask them to protect the work area and seal it off. TOO LATE! Even though they did as I asked, the damage had been done. When my husband and I tried talking with Shandeli, Katrina and the job foreman (Joe), we were pretty much ignored. Shandeli did stop by while no one was home to check on things and make sure the guys had things protected. The carpet went smoothly. The guys worked hard. There was one area the glue piled up and is all rough to walk on. When Joe called to ask how my experience was, I told him it was good after the tile and back splash in the kitchen were done. I mentioned the rough glue in the new carpet and that it hurts peoples feet to walk on. He ignored that and didn't offer to do anything to fix it. He's a nice guy for sure, but maybe he's too busy or something or doesn't totally care anymore; not sure. I was so done by then that I let it go. The hardwood floors and the team who took care of it was so awesome! I was very happy with them. Professional, on time, and skilled. I would do hardwood floors through Flohr again, but that would be it I think. Flohr as a whole did well with being on time and respectful of the schedule and our needs. But the reviews I read didn't really reflect my experience.... and I'm someone who looks for the good in everything. read more

Eric's easy going attitude at the showroom helped us make the right choice, stress-free, and Mario and his team of installers were incredible. They were meticulous in their prepping, scraping off all the old adhesive and cleaning the sub-floor more than we expected. They worked non-stop to lay the carpet literally perfectly. We had many questions about what to buy and if we should remove tile, etc. Karl immediately set an appointment to come to the house for a free consultation. I could not get any of the previous companies to come out. Karl's expertise was super helpful and made the decisions very easy. At the showroom, Karl showed me many choices and helped me stay in my budget. They have a great variety of products! The appointment setters called right away for install date. The installers were right on time. The team was led by Oscar. They were neat, very skilled, and efficient. They removed tile and baseboards, put in tile and new baseboards in just 1.5 days (exactly the estimate). When the floors were first being put down, I came home and had an issue about direction. Oscar's crew was extremely patient. Karl actually came to my house right then, and we easily resolved my question, and their expertise definitely prevailed. Nice, but poor uncoordinated service (so I used someone else). First, I discussed a price range with them and requested samples. After receiving samples I called to tell them which one I wanted. Well, the samples they sent were a much higher price range. Bait and switch or a mistake - who knows. Second, I requested more samples (the original price range) and was told they would have them to me in a few days. A week past and I never received them, so I used someone else. Third, when I did finally get the sample nearly 2 weeks later, it was one tiny sample for one carpet - that's it. After a month, and several phone calls/emails, I got one sample. read more

I highly recommend working with Flohr. After having purchased a home we wanted to remove the old carpeting and have hardwood floors installed. Flohr was our first and only stop before having the work done. My wife and I entered the showroom on a Monday and were immediately greeted by Chris, who was quite helpful and pointed out the different hardwood options that were available. He then let us browse at our leisure until we had a few options to compare. Chris helped guide us and narrowed our choices based on price point and durability. Once we had two options we really liked, Chris offered to come to our home with the samples so we could better visualize the end result. Chris worked around our schedules and was punctual. At the house he offered helpful advice on the layout and position of the hardwood as well as how to best join it to existing flooring. He took down the necessary measurements and had our quote ready by the next day. The estimate was very fair considering the amount of work involved. The job consisted of installing flooring on all of the carpeted upstairs, one downstairs bedroom, and the staircase itself. We had the work scheduled two weeks after the paperwork was signed. Before the install could take place, Chris called us to let us know that our chosen product was out of stock but the supplier would honor any of their other choices for the same price. Our original choice was a 3/8" thick but we were able to come back into the showroom and choose a 1/2" thick product with no hassle. This was one of the best examples of customer service I have ever experienced. The install itself was quick and, barring a minor mishap wherein the correct amount of flooring was not brought on the first day, without delay. Flohr was very quick to reschedule the rest of the install. The crew moved quickly and were able to finish everything in one and a half days. I could not believe how great the finished product looked in our new home. It was a night and day difference.
