I had a fantastic experience with Austin Hardwood Flooring. When Matt Garcia came to my house for the estimate, I could tell he knew everything about installing hardwood flooring and was the best company to hire. I had gotten another estimate from a company I had used before, and they said it would be a two-week job, but Matt's estimate was at least 1K less, and they completed my 2300 sq ft home in 4 days, allowing a day mid-week for the wood to acclimate. Matt gave me two installation options of going over the existing hardwood or tearing out the old. I decided to tear out the old and continue the hardwood into the bedrooms which had carpet. When I asked him for wood suggestions with not too much variation, he recommended Green World Premier Series, and I went with Bonito. (Refer before and after pic) It looks absolutely gorgeous, and not a bad board was to be found! Matt's crew, led by Manuel Celerino, were the ultimate professional installers. They cleaned up perfectly every day, moved all my furniture, and afterward took the time to put the felt on the bottom so not to scratch the new flooring. The team took a lot of care to seal off my windows and kitchen with plastic, and Manuel installed the new shoe molding perfectly. I highly recommend Austin Hardwood Flooring! Thank you SO much!
Awesome work and the best price in town. When we bought our house, we decided to put carpet in the two extra rooms. After a year, we realized our mistake and wanted to put hardwood in the rooms. Unfortunately for us, the hardwood was discontinued so I had to purchase the floor and then find an installer. I was able to find Matt and AHF on Yelp and was able to get an estimate extremely fast. Not only did they offer dates the very same week, but were extremely flexible to include options on weekends too. I reached out to three or 4 places and they were easily the best price. The floors turned out great and we are so happy to have the house finished. We had a very minor communication struggles but the work and price made up for it. I would happily use them again.

Matt and his team did a fantastic job ripping out old carpet and replacing it with luxury vinyl planks. He was professional and respectful in all our interactions, and gave me a competitive and reasonable estimate for the job. He also referred me to the Tile Guy, a great shop to buy vinyl planks. While the job ended up taking slightly longer than anticipated as my stairs were tricky, Matt didn't compromise on the quality of his work and kept to the quoted costs. He does get really busy, and at times, he could have responded quickly, and provided periodic updates on the work. The team also cleaned up after themselves well. Overall, I highly recommend Matt for any flooring needs and wouldn't hesitate to work with him again in the future!

Matt did a wonderful job repairing some bad planks on my engineered wood floor. The fixed area blended in perfectly with the existing flooring. He responded quickly to my questions and finished the job overnight. Will definitely hire him again for future projects.

The pricing was extremely competitive, and it included EVERYTHING. They took out almost 1,000 square feet of carpet. They took care of moving all of the furniture out, and then back when they were done. (Including two heavy couches, an entire dining room set, and even our king-sized memory foam bed! I point out that it's memory foam because those things are HEAVY). They leveled out our subfloor with leveling compound. They installed shoe molding everywhere the wood floors edged up to our baseboards. It was just a ton of nice little touches like this that made the whole experience so easy and pain-free. And the whole thing, three rooms and almost 1,000 square feet, was done in two short days! I would absolutely recommend them, ten times out of ten.

Matt Garcia and his team from Austin Hardwood Flooring installed almost 1700 sf of glued down engineered wood flooring in my home last week. They look better than great and I absolutely love them! The flooring is a 7 1/2" European White Oak plank by ARK floors purchased through The Tile Guy on Anderson Lane which is where I met Matt. Not only did I find a great floor product there, but also a great wood flooring installer. The staff at The Tile Guy assured me Matt and his team was serious about doing a good job for their clients and installed the majority of the engineered wood flooring purchased at their store and he had many satisfied customers. I read the online reviews about Austin Hardwood Flooring and they validated what I had been told. I only talked to one other company after Matt visited my home and provided an estimate and decided to use his company for my install. Pricing between the two companies was competitive but the customer service Matt provided during his visit to my home and subsequent e-mails and texts beat the other company by far. The floors were leveled on Wednesday morning. Installation began Thursday around Noon and was completed by 1 pm on Friday. The crew headed by Bolivar worked very quickly and did a great job without compromising quality. You could tell these guys really knew what they were doing. The crew was also very polite and respectful. For example, one of the crew members needed to cut a plank but I was on my cell phone close by. He patiently waited until my conversation was finished and then asked if it was OK to use the saw. I was so impressed. My home is still in the process of being remodeled so the new doors and baseboard still need to be installed and the all the walls need to be painted, but hopefully the attached pictures will give you an idea of how great my floors look. I absolutely love them and they beat the Saltillo tile I previously had by far! I highly recommend Austin Hardwood Flooring and plan to use them in the future do the flooring on any other homes I purchase.

In love with our new flooring and happy with our decision to use AHF for the work! Matt came out for a consultation and informed us that the padding we had purchased for the bamboo wood installation wasn't wise to use because the polyethylene moisture barrier can actually attract moisture on a 2nd floor & ultimately cause mold issues. So not only was the price for labor great compared to the competition, but he also saved us money (and a headache down the road) there. He was very knowledgeable and also assisted in helping us choose how to best install (we chose glue so the floors could breathe). Again, very happy with the consultation and the installation. Would definitely recommend and use again! read more

I love my new floors! Selecting the engineered wood took 4 months to decide and about 40 sample boards lugged to my house (winner--GreenWorld Artisan series, Natural Bockin). We are extremely pleased with how our new engineered hardwood flooring turned out. Matt came out to give us a quote on the labor and the cost of all the materials needed to pull up the existing carpet and lay the wood floor down in three rooms. We purchased the wood and supplies separately and hired Austin Hardwood Flooring for the installation. Shortly after we gave the go ahead, Oscar and his team of installers came out. I am very happy I chose this company to install my hardwood flooring. Matt Garcia contacted me the day before the work started to confirm. It took one day to remove carpeting and tile and to prep the floor. The second day was the wood floor installation, which took about 9 hours. They did a fantastic job. They removed and discarded all used supplies, and then cleaned and swept all the work areas, including my front porch. They provided the 1/4" round trim and caulked nicely around the door frames, a really clean job of it. When they left, the only thing they left behind was the unused wood and my beautiful new floors. The price was reasonable and I am very satisfied with their work. read more

As an architect, I have dealt with many contractors, some great and some lackluster, so for my own home, the process of choosing a contractor was very personal, intensive and detailed. After having 5 different contractors come and provide estimates on our flooring job, we ended up going with Matt and his team due to his quick responsiveness to any questions we had, his long-standing rapport in Austin, his years in the industry and his unbeatable price (none of the other contractors came close). With such a variance in price between the contractors, there is always the question of if each contractor correctly quoted everything we asked for. We took a chance on Matt, and we are glad we did. Him and his team were able to begin the job the week after the flooring material came in and were even able to start a day early. They got to work on removing existing porcelain tile flooring we had in the kitchen and living area and made sure to cover and protect our existing kitchen cabinets from damage and dust. This tile covered about 700 square feet and they were able to complete it in about a day. The next two days consisted of installing the new vinyl plank flooring throughout in about 1,100 square feet of area and included stairs. Every time we walked into the house after a day of work, we were amazed at how much had been completed for the day and the great quality of work. If we saw any details that were questionable or items that were missed, we would contact Matt that same night with our questions, he would respond quickly and have his team correct the issue the next day. Even after the job was completed, we had some stair nosings that became a bit unglued. We contacted Matt immediately and he was able to have someone come out quickly, while working with our schedule, to remedy the problem. We would recommend Austin Hardwood Flooring to friends and family and would use them again for any future projects. read more

Austin hardwood flooring did our floors as part of a house refresh. The floors look amazing and are so beautiful. We selected an engineered hardwood. From start to finish, the crew was very efficient. They respected our belongings, kept their work tools and equipment orderly and cleaned up each day before leaving. AWESOME - Matt and his team were so professional. They came into a situation where the previous contractor had screwed up the job, left and ghosted me. I was desperate and suspicious when Matt was recommended. But he came through big time. They had to undo the entire living room, dinning room and kitchen - level all the floor, relay the vinyl with minimal waste. And they did it all, and the baseboard and door moulding and the moldings on my custom cabinets. These guys were serious and knew exactly what they were doing - and they were quick, clean and so damn professional. From the moment they started You could see that they knew what had to be done - and that gave me nothing but confidence. THANK YOU SO MUCH. There was over 6000 sq ft of hardwood that needed to be installed, and Matt's expertise and pricing was what made us choose him to install our flooring. Matt's crew was also very impressive. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail was fantastic. They are hard workers and worked on multiple Saturdays to help complete the project in a timely manner.
