He also spent time with us at our home (always wearing a mask!) measuring the space and pointing out details that other flooring companies might skip. (Undercutting the brick fireplace for a seamless look, etc). We have a 1500 sq foot house built in the 70s and ran into some unexpected things with install (layers of old vinyl under our carpet). Our foundation ended up being very uneven and rather than just install over that, the crew took the time to walk me through why they needed to pour a layer of cement (I think that's what it is) to make the surface even. This results in a longer lasting and higher quality install. And, when you're investing in quality flooring, you want a quality install. There are three things that really set millennium above our expectations. 1) Communication and collaboration were just outstanding. From start to finish we really felt like Stefan and his team were partners with us. They helped us select the right flooring even though it was ultimately less expensive than what we originally thought we would go with. Never did we feel like we were being up sold or pressured. 2) Delivery and quality. Stefan personally walked the job before and after everything was done. They did not ask for final payment until we were completely satisfied. Scheduling was awesome. They worked around all of our challenges and hit our target start and completion dates with precision. This was super valuable because it did not delay our move-in date. 3) Remarkable, genuine, and lasting Customer Service. This is the third thing, but probably the most important. It has been over a year since they installed our floors. We have called them back three times now for help with little things that we did not anticipate. I've done my due diligence with at least 4-5 vendors before settling on Millennium and I have no doubts that I made the right choice. The key decision I settled on Millennium was their in-house hardwood engineered floors....9.5 inches wide coated with polyurethane, European hardwood, and it is astoundingly beautiful. Pricing for this would have gone more than 13 to 16 dollars per sq ft at other stores if I selected a name brand. Let's just say that their pricing was far less and that you'll be hard pressed to find something of this quality at any other store in the area at this price range. Don't let the visuals in the store fool you into thinking that the wood is too wide and long. Buying hardwood flooring is like buying a tv set. It can never be big enough :) The quality of the work was also fantastic. Home depot and lowes saw the picture of my stairs and mentioned that it wasn't possible to work on because of the bottom step. There's no way to replace the bottom step and re-engineer with the new wood. The team did an amazing job overlaying the wood and reconstructing a new stair on top of my existing stair. It was absolutely unbelievable. In sum, I'm very happy about my purchase and am glad to have worked with Stephan, a very passionate, kind, and reasonable business owner who treats his customers right. Here's why we love them: 1) Service and selection: We had been shopping around Austin for wood floors at several different companies. We never ran into anyone as knowledgeable as Stefan. Beware of these guys. The sales kid, Nick, did not properly measure my stairs, in return they were cut too short. The kid ghosted me and his boss. Three weeks later they came back to finish the job with no notice. Whatever right? Wrong. Stefan, the owner, decided to finish up for good ole Nick and ordered $2,000 of material and installed without confirming with me the additional costs -- material costs which were caused by Nicks incorrect measurements and cutting my stair noses 2inches short. As it turns out, if they cut a board two inches short on all your stairs, Stefan will expect you to pay for their errors! Stefan tried to double charge me for 8 extra stairs bringing the expected install 15% over budget. Downstairs looks OK, upstairs squeaks, and all of the baseboards they installed have 2" hammer marks on them. I now have another company coming out to correct install and craftsmanship errors. Overall, this company is the worst. It took an hour of arguing with the owner that the mistake was on their end (proof in attached picture) - and that two thousand dollars isn't an acceptable added materials cost. Stefan assures me he's the nicest guy you'll ever meet - he's not, this company lacks communication, scheduling mistakes, install mistakes are all going to cost you more in the long run - you've been warned. Millenium Hardwood Flooring recently installed a beautiful acacia engineered wood floor in our new home. We wanted the flooring installed before we moved in and the product we originally selected was not going to be available. Stefan helped us quickly find a comparable product from a company that could get it here on time. Millenium removed about 100sq.ft. of tile and some carpet, prepped the floors, and installed about 1,000 sq.ft. in one day. It looks fantastic! Unfortunately we had a plumbing leak shortly after and a remediation company sent out their flooring guy to remove the affected wood floor. Ugh, it took them days, they had no idea what they were doing. Millenium came back for the replacement and had to remove a little more but it was no big deal for them. Late review, this is for an install done in November 2018. We found Millennium Hardwood as they were one of the few showrooms open on Sunday. We were looking at wood flooring for new construction in the canyon lake area. I think I went back 4-5 times before making a selection. Stefan was always friendly and knowledgeable. As my wife and I were closing on our first home, we knew immediately that we wanted the carpets removed because of the allergens they collect and we decided that we wanted hardwood installed. The biggest questions were: 1) What type of wood should we even go with? 2) Can the company we choose even meet the deadlines we have in place? And lastly 3) Could we even afford it? Searching across the internet, we located Millennium Hardwood on Yelp and I decided to pay a visit to the shop, as it wasn't that far from our current spot. Immediately upon entering, I was met with a solid display of professionalism, progressing into a comprehensive discussion over the types of floors that were available to be located and delivered as to not jeopardize our closing or move in date to the new home. I also have to mention the display of wood across the show room was astonishing... Stefan genuinely values the specific points and characters of a home that would complement the type of flooring that would best suit the coverage area, while taking into account the functionality it could play based on our day to day needs. Before I knew it he was scheduled for a site visit. I actually had my wife swing by the shop during our discussion to meet him and take a look at the array available throughout his establishment. We were hooked. During the site visit, my plan was to purely address the bedrooms only, as those areas were the only areas with carpet, as well as not to significantly impact the costs involved that come with closing on a home altogether. Knowing the footage and work involved, might somehow be cheaper a square foot - I decided to have Stefan give two quotes, one for the bedrooms, and one for the entire house. We hired Millennium to replace carpet in our house with a durable vinyl flooring. We did the house in parts as we were ready and they handled each stage of the construction. They are a full service company, they will remove and haul the carpet, they leveled the floor, ordered the new flooring and installed it. They also replaced our trim, caulked etc all of the finishes. Terrible experience! Had to sue for a judgment to lower invoice amount that was 26% ($1952) more than initial quote. Material was not available on installation date or another week. Timing of installation was crucial. I spent $2100 on paint to match the hue in the ordered wood and when PERLA was not available Stefan was pushing much darker wood (regardless that it did not match anything) so he could profit from sale. He lied to me stating that I will be not able to find 824 sf quantity anywhere in Austin for next day install. I had to find replacement myself to install on time and pay for a difference in price. All measurements (linear and square footage) were exaggerated in total almost 100 feet. Overcharged for Saltillo Tile removal; $19.14 for ONE TILE ($900 for 47 tiles) where $6 is the most for dustless removal. I still had to pay to clean the walls from dust. He promised credit for laminate and tile removal and then cheated me on $680. To save time when install was delayed due to lack of material I had to pay use someone to help me remove it. Moreover they used excessively leveling compound; 32 bags on 700sf (increased bill for over $1125 without consulting me) . This caused increase of floor level so much that my door was not closing and required repair. In addition, the quarter round could not be installed so I had to pay additional $360 to change baseboards. Overall the owner Stefan lacks integrity, he wants a customer to pay the price if something goes wrong with his supply or mistakes in installation. Stefan even lied under oath in the court room, but judge did not go for it. So sad! Also, poor workmanship builds on notion that customer will pay for mistakes anyway. I would not choose them ever again or recommend for competitive quote; you may end up paying more than if you initially would choose a higher priced experienced competitor who is honest and pays attention to customer needs and wants. Word of advice measure your floors and don't let them cheat you on measurements. read more

Clement and then Stephan worked patiently with us while we took home samples, brought them back, and took home more samples. It's a big decision! We used Stefan and his team to put vinyl flooring in from our front door to our back door which includes our kitchen. They took up both carpet and tile. He came out and gave a free quote which was accurate in sq ft and pricing. They did it all in a day and we came home to a clean house and completed job. We looked at Home Depot, Lowes, and another local shop. Stefan was the easiest to work with. By far. These guys were quick and had the best/fair price by far. They would have installed just a couple days after we picked our flooring had it not been Thanksgiving week. They installed Tuesday after. I've already recommended them to friends.
