I like Tractor Supply but do not shop here often. I do get my propane tanks refilled here. It is much cheaper than the exchange system at most gas stations and the tanks are actually full. I do find their clothing to have frequent sales making their prices competitive. Most of their other items (dog food, bird seed, etc) seem higher to me than competitors like Walmart, HeB, but I feel better spending money here than at Walmart or HEB. Nice staff and the store was clean! I appreciate the ease of doing online orders if you don't have time to go shopping. They have a wide variety of food and bedding options for my ducks which I appreciate! I just had one of the worst customer service experiences of my life at this store and with the home office reward program (Neighbor's Club) representative. I signed up for their reward program, years ago and always provided my phone number as requested at each in person purchase. It finally occurred to me that I had NEVER received any benefit through the program, although I bought dog food and hardware there regularly. I asked about this at the register today and the clerk gave me a phone number to call to straighten out my rewards account. I called and navigated the maze of their phone system and learned that the wait for a representative to talk to me would be more than five minutes and the system offered to call me back when it was my time. I provided the required information and I did receive a call back in a little more than five minutes, but when I answered no one was on the line. I called back and again navigated the maze of their phone system, but waited on the line this time for 15 minutes or so before a representative came on the line. I explained the issue and provided information so they could verify my identity. She said I had some 200+ accrued reward points and offered to add 100 more to replace those not credited in the past month. I asked why the staff at the registers never asked me if I wanted to apply any those points toward purchases and was told that in her experience store personnel were not well informed about the reward program other than the necessity of obtaining the customer's phone number during each transaction. She added that she also had recently been counseled regarding her own sketchy understanding of the reward program. I got frustrated and asked her to just close my rewards account and to send me an email confirming that she had done so. She asked me to wait a few minutes while checked on how to do that. She came back on the line in a few minutes and asked me to again confirm that I wanted to close the rewards account. I got more frustrated and told her I would likely never shop with Tractor Supply again and would write a truthful negative review so others would be warned. I hung up. Obviously Tractor Supply doesn't know how to run a rewards program, either in the store or at the home office. They gain marketing information by tracking individual customer purchase and don't care if the customer receives any rewards. I likely won't shop there anymore. I can buy Purina Pro Plan dog food from Amazon etc. for about the same price and have it delivered to my door for free, I can buy hardware at either of the two big box stores just a little farther away from me. What a waste of more than 30 minutes of my life. read more

I went to the store in Buda Tx on 6/11/25 about 5:30 PM to buy some chicks. The workers at the store refused to help me stating they were stretched too thin to help. There were two men standing there one checker the other doing nothing for at least ten minutes that I observed, but still would not help me! Very bad customer service! So I have to admit, I'd never been to a TSC before. After all, I don't own a tractor, so why would I have need? Turns out, they stock quite an impressive variety of things, including things suburban folk like me need-- most notably, lawn mowers. After a particularly dissatisfying Amazon purchase wherein we were shipped a lawn mower that did not match the online description, and after discovering Home Depot wouldn't deliver a lawnmower for any less than $70, I got the idea to try TSC. I checked their website beforehand to ensure the mower we wanted was in stock, and they had one floor model left. So we got to roll it right out of the store and into our car, preassembled and everything (without the fee that would normally be charged to assemble, which was pretty cool of the employees). You can also buy a lot of varieties of pet food/bird seed, a lot of tools, organizers for said tools, stuff for hunting/fishing, gun safes, yard equipment, as well as a small toy section for those fellas who need the gentle reminder to get a gift for their kids/nieces and nephews/grandkids. And yes, they also have tractor supplies! LOL read more

I love tractor supply! They are super nice and helpful when I need things for my home.

We have bought 2 sets of 4 chicks the past few weekends to donate to our school and the mortality rate has been 75%. The chicks are taken from their mom way too young and all have pasty butt. Even with our best efforts we couldn't save the majority of the chickens. We used all the right litter, food, bowls, warmth, and even treated their pasty butts. I would NOT recommend purchasing chicks from Tractor Supply ever. Absolute worst. read more

I went to the Maysville, KY 0451 store (managers name is Angie) to purchase a 5.5 x 10 foot trailer that was listed on the website as in-stock and available for pick-up today. When I got there the trailer was not available. I was told the website was wrong and sorry about your luck. They had many other trailers slightly larger but refused to sell me one at the price of the one I went there to buy. I would recommend to anybody NOT to shop at this store. Good old "Bait & Switch" comes to mind. I left and did not buy anything. I called the corporate office, I spoke to Theresa and she said it was up to the store and "sorry about your luck". The management here is very nice and knowledgeable. As far as the checkers, they are not familiar with many of the products. I called several times and asked basic questions that they were not able to answer. They have pretty reasonable prices on dog products and clothes. They are well-priced on gates and most fencing supplies, but cheaper feed for livestock can be found. They are very giving to their community...I've seen the local 4-H clubs up there several times. read more

I was happy to see a Tractor Supply being build in Buda. I had figured in a pinch, I would be able to get parts for my lawn mower and not have to drive into Austin. They do carry season items but the last time I went in they were still waiting on their stock of grills and what not. I called them today looking for some parts for a lawn mower. I was looking for simple tune up parts. I had figured this place would have a much better selection than one of the big box stores that I had already gone to. The guy on the phone was clueless. He tells me they just had filters. Filters? Gee, you cater to country folks. I should not have to order tune up parts for my lawn mower. After pressing the issue, he did go look but them seemed to walk around the store acting like he could not see anything at all. This place is a tad bit overpriced on a few of their things. In a pinch, I will drive the extra few miles and go into Austin to get what I need. read more

If you find yourself at Tractor Supply, you probably are looking for something you'd find at Target, much less Wal-Mart. They have a lot of things that will help you fix, repair, or even take your dog for a walk. I bought lights for my motorcycle here... so you can see, THEY HAVE STUFF! This store has recently opened in Buda so I thought I would stop by and see what they have to offer. The store was full of great products for home and farm. If you are a crafter this place has great baskets and cute tin pails and buckets for great decorating ideas. They have a very large section for all kinds of animals. We bought some great bird food and I am planning on returning soon to buy a nice bird feeder. The prices were very reasonable and it is so close to home. They have a wide variety of tools for auto or garden. No sense in running down the highway to the big box stores when it is all here in town. I will be using Tractor Supply a lot. I needed a post hole digger. They only had one left and the handle was cracked . I knew I would have ţo replace the handle soon so I asked if they would sell it with a replacement handle that they sell. THEY SAID NO, so I went to the Tractor Supply in San Marcos and they had the same post hole digger for $15 cheaper! Love Tractor Supply B/C they have so many items I like and need, the cashiers are nice "BUT"... that's where it ends. Many times their shelves are not stocked and weeks and many more weeks go by without replenishment. So finally you place a rain check order and when no on calls to tell you its in, you call... they promise to call you back but never do. So... you call them again and then they tell you they have no record of your order. So.... you go to the store, only to find the items you ordered, in the exact quantity you ordered, on the shelf. Seems they didn't know what to do with the product and lost track of themselves so they just put it on the shelf and left the customer hanging. There had been no stock for months so I was fairly certain these were my ordered items. Okay... I'll give them one failure b/c that is just the right thing to do. Again... similar parts not on shelf (January 2017), they have not been on the shelf for months, so I order them as a rain check. Call to follow up b/c "again" no one calls me with an update. Employee with European accent looks up my order, promises to call me back. Never does. I call back "again" and talk to someone else who promises to call me right back but never does. So... despite being a really cool store, they lack direction, management should be replaced b/c I hate to see a store full of good products run by incompetent management. I won't go back b/c it's a waste of my time. Sorry TS... the facts speak for themselves. You either need better computers or better training. Losing a customer in your system twice, and never following up with them when they call multiple times is just unacceptable. read more

Tractor Supply in Buda is a perfect place to make a quick stop and avoid all of the parking and lines at the larger stores. They carry a wide variety of items and even have a low cost vaccination clinic on the weekends. read more

I usually love shopping at my local tractor supply store but this evening was ruined by a female manager named Jo and she was very rude and her customer service is horrible at best , I had came in to the store around 5pm to do some shopping and tryed on I nice pair of work boots that I unfortunately could not pay for at the time because I did not have my wallet on me so I ask this kind lady at the register to hold on to them for me and that I would be back to get them today I arrived in the parking lot at 7:03 and parked the truck to go inside and the doors were wide open and they where still checking out the last few customers so I asked the kind lady at the register that I had left the boots with if I could just buy them real quick and she said that I would have to ask her manager and I didn't think anything of it to see as how I can see the box under the register and thought I can make my purchase and leave the manger Jo proceeds to yell and scream that she has to lock and close the store and at this point there are 2 customers in line still making there purchases , Jo the manager keep screaming to come back tomorrow and to leave the store , so I said I would take my business elsewhere where and she said with a smirk on her face so I don't care , I asked for the district managers name 3 times before she gave It to me "Doug" so I will never be returning here ever again what poor customer service... read more

Started out strong when they opened 3-4 years ago but lately it's been very poor. Employees remain to be friendly but management isn't enlightened enough to realize that in order to to run a business you need to keep your shelves stocked to make money. Been to the store numerous times only to find shelves wiped clean. When I inquired, employee said they didn't have enough help to unload the orders already sitting in the back room. This is Austin, the economy is booming, help isn't difficult to find. Keep your shelves stocked or I will stop using you altogether and shop elsewhere. Undependable...at the moment. read more
