PROS: (1) Some of the deals are great. (2) 3 month warranty (3) Warranty actually works, at least for me. I've called, they came quickly. (4) They also repair for hire even if you didn't buy from them. CONS: (1) Prices not marked anywhere. You have to ask about the price for each and every unit on the floor. (2) Some units are overpriced. It's up to you to figure out whether the price is right. Help figuring: Figure a new appliance will last about 12 years. If it costs $500 new, that's $42 per year of life. So an appliance that's 7 years old should be worth 5 x $42 = $210. But the 7-year-old fridges I saw at 3PA that would be $500 new are priced around $300, and are all banged up, and come with only a 3mo. warranty vs. 1Y new. So, those fridges weren't a good deal, at least when I went, but the price on the range I bought was fantastic. YMMV. read more

I bought a washer and dryer and gave them an additional dryer for them to repair and resell about 3 years ago. 4 weeks ago the dryer shorted out (would run but not heat) I called them to come repair and PAID repair fee. Repair man said it was because it was tucked too close to the wall and melted t something/caused a short 2 weeks ago the dryer went out again, repair man said it was due to not cleaning lint trap (we clean lint trap all the time) he repaired,I PAID additional repair fee, it worked for 2 cycles, same problem. (Cost of repairs alone is already more than I paid for the dryer) I called and asked that they replace the dryer because clearly there was something else going on and I have already paid the cost of a replacement dryer. Manager said he would talk to the boss and they agreed to replace. After the delivery and replacement the delivery guy returns and says we owe $75 for the replacement. This wasn't told to us in advance and I had already paid more than enough to have a working dryer. Will not be using again. They had a repeat customer that would have continued using them. Gave it one because there isn't anything lower. HORRILE company! i bought a fridge yesterday and it didn't get cold. Just cool and all my items went bad over night! He finally agreed to pick it up for another $50 and issue a refund. WELL..... the guys who showed up had no way to refund or a check, nothing, When I called the owner he told me I had to come by the shop to get it! Luckily I thought to have the guys sign a receipt that they picked it up without the refund. He is basically extorting me by withholding my refund until I give him another $50! That's $100 total to deliver and pick up the defective refrigerator he sold me. i would say he is a crimina. BE VERY CAREFUL IF YOU DECIDE TO MAKE A PURCHASE THERE. Horrible business read more

My old dishwasher stopped draining and my property manager hired 3 Point Appliances to install the new dishwasher. I called them to schedule the appointment and they said they could come the next day at 11 am. They asked me only the color of my current dishwasher, nothing about the make or model, just the color. Fast forward to the day of the appointment. It's 11:15 am and I call them to ask for an ETA. They then inform me they won't be arriving until 2 pm because someone called out. I wouldn't have known this unless I had called them. When they arrive, they remove my dishwasher, bring in the new dishwasher and continue to walk in and out of my house multiple times, each time not actually closing my front door. It wasn't until the third time that I had to get up and close the door for them that they saw, and laughed at me. As they were installing the dishwasher, it wasn't quite closing. So, to get it to close, they pick up one of my kitchen knives and saw into the counter top with it. When I noticed they were doing this they looked at me and LAUGHED. They didn't ask if they could use one of my knives and now I'm sure the blade is ruined. Today, I used the dishwasher for the first time and it is MUCH smaller than my previous dishwasher. The top shelf only rolls out halfway, so who knows how I'm going to put dishes in there. I ran a load of dishes and saw that this dishwasher doesn't release the door for the soap. I ran the dishwasher twice. So now I have another broken unit. Do not use this company. They were very unprofessional, rude, and gave me another broken unit. read more

Ummmm this didn't have a very big selection to start off. Not much to write about, we basically walked in and out. The appliances were very outdated, but this may work for some. We had no luck. Unreliable is the exact word for this business and it's practices. I had a refrigerator that was not working, I called the guy because they offered to come and check it out on the spot never came, I called them and they reschedule 2 more times and left me hanging waiting on 3 different occasions. poor customer service. first time I called and gave information because I wanted to order a part, the took the order information on an invoice and didn't call me back. I called back two weeks later, they had no record of the invoice. I gave them another shot to redeem themselves and they failed. I place the same order, again, and a woman said she'd call me the next day when the order was placed. Needless to say, she never called and I just let it be. I'm going to order this part elsewhere. Twice a customer (once in 2015, and again in 2019 when I moved back to Austin). Both times, the folks at 3 Point Appliance were professional, efficient, and gave me great W/D sets. Despite the fact that rent in Austin went up about 40% in those 4 years, the price for W/D with hoses AND delivery/installation stayed the same! And that price was cheaper than W/D sets on Craigslist!! This time (2019) when the guy asked which set I wanted, I said "I trust you. Which one do you think?" And he gave me the BEST DAMN DRYER I have ever had. Dries my clothes in 30 min, tops. 3 Point Appliance is exactly what people have in mind when they romanticize family owned businesses. read more

I called Monday morning to request service because my fridge had stopped cooling properly. They called around noon and told me someone would be there in 15-20 minutes. There tech had the part on his truck and quickly replaced it. Total cost, $85 which included the $25 service call, parts, and labor. 4 stars for a good place for cheap appliances or repairs. Over several years I've purchased a washer/dryer, two fridges, and a gas range from 3 point appliances. I've also called them for their very affordable repairs. Their prices on used or scratch-dent appliances are reasonable, and occasionally you can find great deals. Most of their stock is basic or middle level, not high end expensive stuff. If you're a landlord it's a good place to go for a quick replacement fridge or range. The customer service is a bit spartan, more along the lines of a repair shop than a sales floor. When you ask questions of the main guy, it feels like you're keeping him from his other work--which you probably are. They're not rude but they won't chit-chat with you. read more

I checked this business out because my go-to guy (Alberto's Appliances) didn't have any stackable washer/dryers in stock and they were super close to my house. From my initial phone call to selecting the set to the installation they were nothing but class and service. Their store was clean and organized. I was shown multiple models to choose from at a fair price. Delivery and installation was made within two hours. They showed great care not to scratch any doors, walls, or floors moving the machine, which wasn't easy with how heavy it was. Ran one full cycle so far without any problems. I'll keep an eye on everything, but I doubt I'll even need their 90-day warranty. read more
