I scheduled this company to service my dishwasher, but they found a roach inside and refused to proceed unless I provide a certificate from a pest control service confirming the house is clean. I'm unsure why GE assigned this company, as their customer service has been disappointing. read more

This company was assigned to me by my warranty organization. I was without access to my oven for over two years; there was an electrical surge in the neighborhood the week before COVID hit and it caused my oven/range to believe that the door to my oven was locked when it was not, which prevented me from using it to bake anything. I didn't have time to get someone out to fix it before we went into lockdown and, with an immunocompromised relative, we were waiting for the surges to subside before we would allow a technician to come. I reached out to my warrantor, who initially assigned me to a different company, but I asked to be reassigned based on that company's reviews, and this was the other partner in my area. Within a matter of hours, they set up a video diagnostic, looked up the problem, ordered a replacement board, and let me know that they'd get someone out as soon as the replacement part arrived. The part arrived sooner than expected (over the weekend), and they had someone out to me and my oven working before the end of the day on Monday. Bryce from Aesthetic Repairs arrived on time and exhibited excellent communication and completed a professional repair of my Gas Whirlpool Duet dryer. I see a few others have left negative reviews, but my experience was nothing but professional. As a business owner with employees I can understand how an employee may not offer the same level of service as the owner. This may explain those negative reviews. Felt like not honest, just wanted to collect the visiting fees, told the warranty company that a dishwasher which was in place for 16 years was improperly installed and now my warranty company does not cover it. Feel like some kind of scam going on here. You would think for $75 dollars, one would get something fixed, the glue for the dishwasher was worn off, just needed that fixed but nope, even if I called someone outside of my warranty company and paid they would have done something, but nothing from this person. Cordial, knowledgeable, accurate diagnosis of what needed to be done. Bryce showed up right on schedule! He asked the right diagnostic questions, and within 15 minutes had made the right assessment as to what needed to be done, and had already completed the task at hand! Very professional demeanor! Bryce, the 2nd Co./Tech. sent by Choice Home warranty1st one was Tactical Appliance Repair-gave up on gas leak) decided I needed two parts. After we was here, I could not get him to call me back when I had heard nothing from him after several days. He said one part came in and promised CHW (he would not return MY calls) that the other part( a common screw and gas washer), would certainly be in by "next week"; no part and no answer to my call but he did answer CHW. They did eventually reach out, apologized for the lack of communication previously experienced and and fixed my stove as promised. They were polite and professional and my stove is working perfectly. The technician was not the problem. He did what he could. I called in with good intentions trying to support black owned business in my area. That never seems to work for me. I called and advised I had an electrical cooktop in my island in the kitchen. I asked if they were electricians [as that was my search criteria when searching for black owned businesses/electricians, Austin,TX] and they came up. SHE SAID YES. I advised I bought a house and the original cook top was cracked and stopped working mid way through cooking on it and that I had purchased another one and installed it and itgat one wasn't working either. I told her it must be something in the wiring or the breaker. She said OH, you don't need an installation appointment you need a service call. That'll be $75.00 and if we fix it it'll go toward the final repair cost. I said OK. The tech just left and guess what he said. You're cooktop is fine. You have a problem with the wiring or the breaker... CRICKETS... is that not what I just told that woman on the phone???? WTH?? The tech said he is an electrician but he can't fix it and advised I go to Home Depot and buy a new 220 breaker. $75.00 wasted. Look. I try to support my people and do business with them instead of sending my money to big non black corporate companies but I get screwed every time. Every time. I had a terrible experience with this company. The technician that came out misled me as far as what the repairs would be and lied to me about what I was signing. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, they tried to deny that requires. It was only when I said I would give them a negative review, that a supervisor was available. When the supervisor called me she was rude, would not address the issues brought to her attention, and instead tried to blame me. Now I'm out money for a useless service call. RESPONSE TO BUSINESS REPLY: There is no ongoing rodent issue in my home. I have filed a complaint with my home warranty company and, per their Customer Relations Dept, they will be reaching out to you so you can correct your practices. Every other time I've had a contractor come out for repair, they have shown me what they believe the issue to be. Your technician did not do so. He falsely instructed me as to what I was signing. I called and left a message directly with Bryce and I have yet to receive a call back. This is the most irresponsible company I have ever dealt with in any business. They told me parts would arrive in 10-14 days after their initial diagnostic visit. After more than two weeks no update. When I called to inquire they claimed the parts got lost in the mail. Then they requested more money from my home warranty company to order the parts from another vendor and gave the date range of 7-10 business days again. When I called to get an estimated arrival date after 5 days, I was told there is none because there is no shipping tracking information given by the supplier. Based on Yelp reviews my experience is not uniques and similar experiences have been reported by other customers. I don't see how this company can, or deserve to stay in business. read more

Bryce is courteous, professional, and great to work with. I had to have a microwave replaced at a rental property but since I'm an out-of-town owner, it was not possible for me to size and source the replacement unit myself. Bryce not only helped me identify a replacement, but also found a lowest price which I was able to order online. He then worked with the tenants to have the unit installed - no fuss, no hassle. Again, not one to put bad reviews but the service was so blatantly below standard that as a consumer, I need to give forewarning. This company refused to fix a rental unit dryer because the stackable unit was not unhooked by me or the tenant or taken out of the closest space where it is located in the unit, prior to the repairman coming in. They were in contract with Sears and as you may know, Sears filed for bankruptcy which ultimately means cutting corners on all warranties. The repairman knew the dryer type and where it was located and gave no warning that that had to be the case for them to work on it. They wouldn't even do it for me after I offered to pay for services privately, independent of the warranty. Two things: 1) don't buy any appliances with warranty from Sears, (that I do take responsibility for) and 2) any company who is in contract with such below standard conditions on warranty and who opted not to perform the service outside of warranty is probably not the best service to be dealing with. read more

Although Bryce (Aesthetic Repairs) seems like a nice and knowledgeable guy, the whole process of working with Sears and their warranty plan was a MAJOR pain. Each time I contacted Sears they gave me such a run around and had not communicated with Aesthetic Repairs regarding the status of my washing machine repair. I will never again purchase an appliance from Sears and will probably never purchase an extended warranty plan....from anyone. The sad fact is appliances of today are not being built well and we the consumer must suffer the outcome of such. read more
