no one came to repair the fridge as promised on may11,Monday. I called and was then promised Tuesday..but no one came to repair my fridge. on wed, Ricky arrived. there had been ZERO ICE IN THE DISPENSER FOR ALMoST 2 weeks. suddenly there was ice when he opened the fridge! the warranty service is VERY UNFRIENDLY, as I waited from 7am,all day for a phone call or rep to get here...yet no one called or came. the website is not user friendly, either. Ricky could not find anything wrong, but WHY WASNT ANY ICE DISPENSING FOR WEEKS.? for ice to suddenly appear after so many days of waiting for repair was unbelievable! I was amazed that they came within 24 hours of my request (especially during this time of year). The issue was with my Samsung range and the oven (and burners) not working. Lucky for me the board and was good-and it was something fairly simple. Dionysus was prompt and on time, very knowledgeable and fixed the issue. I was pleased with the service that was provided and should I have any issues in the future will call on Sears service again. Very pleased with what was accomplished today. I wrote directly to them for action/response, but received no acknowledgement. I used two separate e-mail addresses found in the Yelp reviews (searscares@searshc.com and searsservice@searshc.com). Approximately May 2018, we contracted with Sears Home Improvement for a bathroom remodeling project. We paid $7531.00. This was charged to our American Express on 5/7/2018. The staff did well and walked us through the project. About a year went by and we noted some mold in the seams at the bottom of the shower. We suspected it needed to be caulked and were surprised how soon we required maintenance on this since we were told it would be pretty much maintenance free. This mold continued about every quarter. We finally got fed up with it about 2-years ago and contacted Sears. They said the warranty was only good for a year. Seemed like lots of money to pay for something that lasted so little time. This last year we noted more mold build up and almost like a loose shower pan and wondered what was going on. We contacted a professional to come look at this. No surprise to find that we are having to redo the bathroom remodeling that Sears did for us. The corners were not sealed properly behind the back board. The mold got into the insulation and wood and rusted bolts. The liner used was torn. We will now pay more than what we originally paid Sears because the job was not done right the first time. It saddens me that SEARS as a whole was a store that there was no doubt through my childhood our parents made that are first choice in getting tools, appliances, toys, etc. Everyone wanted those craftsman tools cause they were guaranteed for life. The appliances were dependable and lasted for a very long time. When home remodeling was a choice, I elected to use Sears as it was backed by a name that had been around since my childhood. Mohammed was not very pleasant and immediately said he could not work on the mini split Lennox unit in the garage that I called in the service on and said he was here for the hvac unit. I informed him that I called in for the mini split but my hvac is making a squealing noise and he said what do you want me to work on. I said well you said you're not qualified to work on the mini split so see if you can figure out the noise? Explained to him he needs to be more polite. The reason Sears Appliance Repair gets two stars is because of your way cool repair representative, John S., who showed up for the diagnosis and repair. But, Sears is 2 for 2, having cancelled/postponed both appointments and rescheduling. Plus, rescheduling sucks on Sears' part specifically because the window to make the appointment is 8am to 5pm. To have this window, AND THEN reschedule is unacceptable. And here's the kicker, the ice maker still sucks at doing its ONE JOB, that being to MAKE ICE! read more

The technicians had a difficult problem on their hands with a warranty issue defect issue from the factory where the clothes dryer manufactured. it took two visits and two different parts to get the machine fixed and it was done so thoroughly and quickly and efficiently. On May 1, our semi-annual HVAC checkup discovered the fan motor needed a replacement and the tech turned off the unit. it took 23 days in Texas heat in May for Sears/Cinch to order and install the part. Such extensive delays on HVAC repairs have happened repeatedly during the time we've contracted with Sears /Cinch Home Services. It's nigh to impossible to talk with a real person to resolve issues. I literally spent hours working through the automated phone system trying to get help. The regular technician who tends to most of our HVAC service calls is knowledgeable and thorough. But, he had no authority to schedule our service call when he took it upon himself to check on our motor and found it had finally arrived. It took 8 days after arrival before Sears /Cinch scheduled the installation. read more

Donald is the best service tech we have ever had with our Sears warranty program. Donald pointed out several things that no one else ever did. For instance, I had a lot of stuff piled up on my freezer, Donald told me (no one else ever mentioned it) that the sides (which were also too covered) and top is where the heat exchangers are and need to be free of obstruction. He also asked when we last had the dryer vent cleaned (never) and showed me the signs that it really needed to be done. He also is the only tech that removed the cover over the bottom of the refrigerator and vacuumed the coils under there. I would like to have Donald for any future warranty inspections! read more

Lawnmower will not stay running. Technician failed to give me an estimate before servicing the mower. I had no idea of the charge until he VERBALLY told me what I owed. He took the mower to his truck and used an air compressor to clear a blockage in the gas tank. He did not remove the tank. He simply used the air compressor with it on the mower. Then he mowed an area in my yard, where he hit a stump, and the mower stopped running. Then it started, but he did not check for damage as I requested. The charge was $351.00 for blowing out the tank. I feel that was WAY over what it should have been. read more
