(2) Some units are overpriced. It's up to you to figure out whether the price is right. Help figuring: Figure a new appliance will last about 12 years. If it costs $500 new, that's $42 per year of life. So an appliance that's 7 years old should be worth 5 x $42 = $210. But the 7-year-old fridges I saw at 3PA that would be $500 new are priced around $300, and are all banged up, and come with only a 3mo. warranty vs. 1Y new. So, those fridges weren't a good deal, at least when I went, but the price on the range I bought was fantastic. YMMV.

Repair man said it was because it was tucked too close to the wall and melted t something/caused a short 2 weeks ago the dryer went out again, repair man said it was due to not cleaning lint trap (we clean lint trap all the time) he repaired,I PAID additional repair fee, it worked for 2 cycles, same problem. (Cost of repairs alone is already more than I paid for the dryer) I called and asked that they replace the dryer because clearly there was something else going on and I have already paid the cost of a replacement dryer. Manager said he would talk to the boss and they agreed to replace. After the delivery and replacement the delivery guy returns and says we owe $75 for the replacement. This wasn't told to us in advance and I had already paid more than enough to have a working dryer. Will not be using again. They had a repeat customer that would have continued using them. Now they don't have a customer at all.

He wanted to be certain that the "Ten Year Parts and Labor Warranty" special advertised on Speed Queen's website applied to the washer (he worried that it only applied to the dryer) so while he waited for confirmation I went around the corner to eat lunch. When I came back, he had the paperwork for that special deal (if purchased by Sept. 30, 2019) for BOTH units, so I signed on the dotted line. The units were delivered two days later and the installation crew was courteous, professional, and went out of their way to make sure everything was working right. The units have been running beautifully, and when I registered them with Speed Queen I received the Ten Year Parts & Labor Warranty I was looking for! It'll be nice not to have to spend a penny on repairs for the next ten years. I'm SO glad I didn't go to one of the big box stores, because my first instinct was to replace my old Maytag Neptune units with new Maytag machines, but Maytag simply isn't what they once were. If you want reliable quality, you go Speed Queen, and Appliance Associates was a great place to buy the best (and at prices BELOW what anyone else, even on the Internet, were offering!).

Cleaned out coil and said that should fix it. 8/26/23 Unit stopped working Second time. After the repair. Was operating for 35 hours. Called Tru Blue Warranty called the second time. Tru Blue ordered a new compressor with other parts. Arrived at my hours over 5 days and three different boxes, with no invoice to let me know all the parts were here. 8/27/23 GE/Same guy came out to change all the parts that were here, and it was running for about 30 hours and stopped. GE Claim# 070054629 9/15/23 12:30 PM Called Tru Blue Warranty Unit not working and is tripping off the GFI. Reset GFI and hour later ripped the GFI a second time. 9/18/23 talked to Fergusion and advised them of the performance of their warranty company, they were going to investigate it. So far, no response. 9/19/23 The technician, not from GE, but was scheduled by Tru Blue, showed up at 11:30 AM, worked for an hour and said he had checked everything and left at 12:30PM. 2:00 PM unit set of GFI again. 9/19/23 Called Tru Blue Warranty (Josh) On Hold 45 minutes. They are sending out another technician from GE this time on 9/25/23. Asked to talk to a supervisor and ended call. The supervisor has not returned my call. 9/25/23 10:30 AM GE, new guy came out. And called GE and unit is non repairable. I should get a call withing 24 to 48 hours. 9/27/23 8:00 AM Called True blue again and their computer system was down, and they are checking on it. And then received an email stating it would take 5 days to review. I still don't have a working refrigerator.

My washer was under warranty and I appreciate him being candid with me and not trying to sell me on an expensive repair. I called and he came out the next day and submitted the claim for me to get it worked out. They have in stock a bunch of parts, so if you're fortunate to need a replacement part, they may have it immediately and you won't have to wait for it to be ordered. I've also used them for other appliances and every time I've been very satisfied. They're efficient and skilled and it's a small shop, so you talk to a real person and a short turnaround for a service appointment.

Even though he'd never worked on our specific brand and model of range hood, he quickly figured out how to disassemble it and install the new motor -- something that would have taken me far longer to troubleshoot on my own and hours watching YouTube Videos.
