I used AHS, and they assigned Rain or Shine Repair Service for my service request. I was very impressed with the entire experience! They were prompt, professional, and provided excellent service. Dominic was amazing! He took the time to explain everything to me, answered my questions, and got the job done efficiently. I really appreciated his professionalism and great customer service. I would definitely recommend Rain or Shine Repair Service. Thank you, Dominic, for making the experience so easy and positive! read more

Dominic did an incredible job fixing my dishwasher! He was extremely professional, organized, and arrived exactly when he said he would. The repair ended up being more involved than expected, requiring him to replace the control board under the panel as well as a component in the door. Thanks to Dominic's expertise, my dishwasher is now working like it just left the factory! This dude absolutely rocked it. I highly recommend Dominic and will not hesitate to use him again in the future! read more

Domenic is the best! So knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to not only quick and effective repair, but also education and tips when it comes to maintenance and extending the life of your appliances. read more

Stay away! I've dealt with this company twice on two separate occasions through AHS for dishwasher repairs. The scheduler Catalina, is rude and has no customer service. I'm not the person to ever write a negative reviews but do yourself a favor and go with another appliance service company. read more

Rain or Shine has been dispatched to my house for two repairs through my home warranty company. Each repair (refrigerator and washing machine) required two visits, due to the need to order parts. All four visits were great. Dominic came out for each one, and was courteous and efficient every time. He really takes time to make sure he's thoroughly diagnosed the problem. When parts are needed, they are ordered quickly through the home warranty service. The follow up appointments are also set quickly. I appreciate the care and cleanliness of Dominic's work, and I feel comfortable having him in my home. I also appreciate the friendliness and efficiency of Catalina who books their appointments. It's always a pleasure to work with them. read more

Do NOT use Rain or Shine Repair! They were my American Home Shield vendor for a dryer service. They diagnosed the problems, one that could be covered and a couple of other that were not (which I understood). The report to AHS did not say that the covered part should be replaced, as the technician told, but that it was "noisy and still rotating." Because of the inaccurate description, AHS is disclaiming coverage. Just a scam for Rain to Shine to make me pay out of pocket and just a mouthpiece for AHS. Not an advocate for the customer. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. read more

Amazing work. Came by and fixed a fridge issue that took another firm 4 months to diagnose and was unable to fix

I love these guys and count them among the best people I know. I texted them that my freezer was out and they came immediately. Before they arrived, I discovered the door had been caught open for several days through my negligence. Nonetheless, they checked everything out (no charge) and asked me to call if problem not resolved. I am a senior woman and have been taken advantage by every service provider I've employed in the last year. These guys exemplify expertise, honesty, integrity and kindness. I cannot say enough good things about them. read more

I highly recommend this company. My dryer was not working, and Dominic quickly identified the problem and had the replacement part to fix it. The price was reasonable. Dominic was on time, professional, and skilled. read more

These guys have come in to fix the dishwasher and also microwave oven through American Home Shield. They attributed the problems to cockroaches, which disqualified the appliances from being repaired. Second opinion ordered through AHS with another vendor fixed the problems without any attribution to cockroaches. In fact, Rain or Shine suggested that they could come and fix the microwave for $235. I hired another vendor who charged me $155 and fixed the sensor. I would never recommend them to any one for appliance repair work as they an not ethical and are trying to rip off people. If there was a below 0 rating i would give then -10. read more

I will use them again for sure! read more

My heater needed attention, and I called Dominic. Even though HVAC isn't what he normally works on, he said he'd look at it, and if it was minor, he could probably take care of it. This is an unusual company for Austin. When my dishwasher needed repair, I was always able to reach a human. Never once encountered a recording. The staff (Catalina) kept me updated in a timely manner. The repairman (Dominic) showed up exactly on time, was courteous and worked quickly. I haven't seen this kind of customer service in a long time. read more

Have been using Rain or Shine for few years now and we recommend them to anybody we know. They are professional, knowledgable and quick to respond. Dominic has years of experience and he is quick to solve any of the problems we had with our washer. Dominic from Rain or Shine came out and was able to determine that my fridge was obtained second hand by previous owner without a full model number attached (original owner only had partial and confirmed he got it second hand after Dominic left). Rather than leave me with both the cost of a fruitless service call and getting a new fridge, Dominic was feeling generous towards me and waived the service call fee so that I could afford to put it towards the cost of a replacement fridge. Be sure to check that the full model number is easily found inside the fridge, otherwise there's nothing that can be done to replace parts. read more

I recently had a refrigerator that needed compressor work. Rain or shine was open and honest with me when they mentioned the refrigerator had work done previously and that a new compressor would might not be cost effective. They managed to fix everything and I was able to make the right decision with out taking on the unnecessary expense for something that may or may not have worked long term. I appreciate that. Professional courteous follow up as well. read more

Landmark, my home warranty company, put me in touch with Rain or Shine services to work on my dishwasher that wasn't draining. When he arrived, he was courteous, respectful of my house, and was very efficient at solving the problem in a timely manner. Our 12-year-old refrigerator stopped cooling so I opened a service request with AHS, our home warranty company. Normally there is a wait before a vendor contacts you to make an appointment, but Rain or Shine contacted me within an hour or two and had Dominic at my house the same day. Better still, he did a wonderful job explaining the issue to me and had the part on his truck to fix it. In an hour the refrigerator was dismantled, thawed, repaired, and reassembled. He even sealed some gaps between the refrigerator and freezer that had appeared over the years. I feel like an informed consumer and my refrigerator works better than it ever has. It really does not get better than this. read more

Refrigerator door was not staying closed properly & our ice maker quit dispensing ice through the door opening. I initiated a service request with AHS, our home warranty company. Normally there is a wait before a vendor contacts you to make an appointment, but Rain or Shine contacted me within 30 minutes. Dominic came out at a time that was convenient to us, which was extremely timely. To my surprise (given our prior experience with other companies) he did a thorough job explaining the issues to me and stated he would order the parts (I was concerned about the availability due to the current supply chain disaster that has been set in place) but he told me they would keep us informed on the availability. In less than a week he came back to install the replacement parts and within 30 minutes the refrigerator was back in service. He even gave me some tips on how to keep the unit in service for a longer time (regarding the compressor & cleaning the coils frequently). Win-Win!! Informed consumer and my refrigerator works again like it was intended to. This is the type of service that built America's great reputation & commitment to success!!! read more
