***Update*** I failed to mention the best part of our…read moreexperience. We contacted them on a Saturday morning, and they were able to visit us the same day. That exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately, we have had a lot of difficulties with our Samsung washer and dryer and have had to have both repaired, several times, over the past 4-5 years. A few months ago, Greentek repaired our dryer, and most recently, they came out to assess a persistent annoying problem we've had with our washer. Greentek advised us the cost to repair the washer was higher than what we wanted to pay. (The amount of the repair and the amount we put into repairing it in the past was going to exceed the cost of a new washer.) So, we declined to have Greentek repair the washer and decided to buy a new washer. (Not a Samsung!) Both experiences were positive and we have no complaints with Greentek. They are prompt, professional, offer reasonable prices and do everything as agreed. Call them.

We all make mistakes and I was glad to hear that they stepped up by admitting there was fault. My part came in, they got installed and did a good job. I will use their services again* So far, not impressed. Received a text from tech that they were on their way to my job, replied with thumbs up. Hour and 15 min. later, I called office to ask about the delay...they said they would contact tech. Got a text back saying that tech was on the way. Showed up hour+ later. Could not "fix" icemaker, need to order part. Sent me quote, I approved quote 4 days ago, haven't heard any response. Communication is key, have not experienced that. I am a real estate broker

I first hired FA to remove & replace the lining on our front loading LG washing machine that had…read moremold on it. This was done quickly & efficiently. A few weeks passed & we start having problems starting the machine, or not completing a cycle. Unplugging and waiting 5 minutes then resetting seems to work so we call FA again for a diagnostic. Understand we have already spent a few hundred on the lining. We get quoted $500 for a controller panel inside the machine that keeps tripping. We need to think it over. Weighing our option of whether to just buy a new washing machine. We decide to get it fixed to save money 2/3 weeks later as the problem persisted. FA order the new controller panel. On the day of getting the new controller inserted we went over the same issues, he replaces it no problem but as he packs up to leave he notices water still in the machine from using it while testing & installing the new part so pushes buttons to empty it but it won't work. Long story short the controller wasn't the issue, its now the interface. Same issue - sometimes doesn't start, have to unplug & reset to get it working. He tells me its the interface & we would have to get a new one. We have just paid for the controller - buying a new interface makes it cost more than a new machine. I said no I didn't want to do this and if the issue is still the same as it was then I don't want to pay for the controller either since it didn't fix anything. Another long story short he changed his language to "we have a separate issue," which he also shares with his office. I object asking how an issue is separate if the problem presented is still the same even with a new part. The technician (sorry I forget his name) and the office person both parrot each other & tell me that I must pay for the controller because they cannot send it back after its been installed. I asked why no one told me this could be an outcome. I asked why no one said the new controller panel might not fix the issue as I had said multiple times I don't know if its worth it, might be better to just buy a new machine. They took the labor costs off our bill & said we must pay $290 for something still not working. So $290 for nothing. In todays economy that $290 means I miss out on fixing or building something else in our home & we will not use FA again if they think its professional to conspire a "separate issue" with the same problem originally quoted & agreed upon all because a part cannot be held for future use or returned that did not fix the customers appliance. Disappointed & feeling scammed.

HPS Appliance Repair - Plumber's gas leak detector going off around the regulator area.

We then had a HPS tech come out and check the unit and could not find a leak despite the plumbers leak detectors going off previously. After the second plumber again detected the leak coming from the unit (see pic), I called HPS back, they initially told me they couldn't help and to call the gas company! I asked to speak to the manager. He called back and looked at the picture and said he thought it was the gas tube. We set up a re-check appointment for 2 days later, then texts me last minute and cancels, saying he couldn't get the tube. It was supposed to be a courtesy re-check but they flaked out and said to call someone else. I accepted their offer to destroy the service fee check but they still wasted my time and left me without a working stove. Very unprofessional. I had another company come over today, found the leak, and fixed it in less than one hour! It wasn't the tube! Lastly, after checking with Dacor, HPS is not an authorized service company.

Unfortunately, there are more than a few unscrupulous repair shops that will try to take advantage of the consumer's ignorance. That's why using HPS was a very pleasant and refreshing experience. It was easy and fast to obtain a same-day service appointment to diagnose the problem with our dishwasher. I thought the circulation pump had gone bad and Arti, the technician, confirmed it. We discussed a couple options, and Arti attempted to fix the unit with the less expensive route. Unfortunately an entire subassembly needed replacement so we had to wait until the next day to get the correct part and complete the repair. It was great that HPS kept the parts in stock instead of having to order and wait several days until the parts came in. Both the initial visit and follow-up were on-time and the service was fast and competent. These guys know how to provide excellent customer service and the price was less than expected. Highly recommended.
