SEARS HOME SERVICES, the forever RESCHEDULING company. Days with no dryer - 78 (SEVENTY EIGHT) days and counting (since May 26)..read below: Called my warranty company for an LG dryer. They use Sears Home Services, the WORST on the planet. It's 78 days and still the issue is unresolved. The replacement parts have been waiting for over a month for installation. Sears Home Services keeps RESCHEDULING their Appt WITH NO REASON . Sears has rescheduled their appointment 7 (SEVEN) times. Mark was very experienced. He was able to diagnose the problem right away. The guy they sent prior to him got it all wrong. Please don't send people that don't know what they are doing. It's a waste of money to order parts that weren't needed and I spent two weeks without a dryer. read more

We had a diagnostic visit. The part they said we needed was ordered and shipped directly to us. Then they send a different tech out to put the part in A week later. He didn't even know the issue we had so proceeded to ask us what was wrong. What had been diagnosed. And seemed to not agree with the diagnosis and repair He asked "how" the other tech came up with the diagnosis "did he run a diagnostic?" He complained the entire time. Aboit anything and everything. Including the amount if lint inside the machine. When asked what could be causing that he said "your line must be blocked. I'll charge you another $50 to clean the lint from your machine. It's a lot". We said go ahead and then asked if he could ensure the dryer vent tube was hooked up and he said he couldn't cause it wasn't part of the dryer. He took the entire machine apart. He was paid extra to clean the lint out. He wouldn't even pull the dryer out to see if the vent hose was hooked up. so.....he left. After complaining the whole time. And put the dryer back together after replacing the motor. started the dryer and guess what -- the dryer hose wasn't hooked up at all. Lint just going everywhere but out the vent / Hose read more

A/C clogged drain pipe. We have Insurance through choice home warranty with 85.00$ copayment. I did make payment for this but was instructed to pay an additional $ 54.11 and paid it as well , I otherwise would not have received Service. I just don't understand the extra payment.The Serviceman explained something like cleaning material for the drain pipe.Shouldn't that have been part of my copayment? Suddenly I have a new Service date with Bryant on June 24 in my email.I never asked for this.Tried to stop it through Sears program but this is so cumbersome I would have to take several hours off work. Worse service ever. I would not choose this company after reading all the bad reviews. Unfortunately, I have no choice because my home warranty selected this company. The guy came and did some inspection on my stove, turning the knobs and then told me that it cannot be fixed because the model discontinued after he forced me to pay the deductible. He also tried to scam my home warranty company to pay him a couple of hundred of dollars for doing absolutely nothing and then sent multiple invoices to me and the home warranty company. Winfred did a great job! He worked quickly to get the new parts into my fridge and cleaned up everything after. He was courteous and friendly(and fast!) I appreciated that he was so knowledgeable, and also told me how to clean the coils under the front of the fridge(who knew I had to do that?) before and after he did it for me. I repeatedly left message and tried to contact the. regarding my part and the schedule. in the end they canceled two appointments without notificatio. Guy was quick (10 minutes) but after one load of laundry I discovered he either didn't put the dryer vent tube back on or didn't tighten it as it was blowing all over the laundry room. Five minute fix but still annoying. read more

I would not recommend using A&E Sears Services for repair needs. Everything is done online and the only time you are able to speak to a person is if you FINALLY find them on a social media platform. The technician that came to our house on 3 different occasions was very rude and condescending each time he came out. The service was finally completed after working through my Home Warranty and Sears for over 2 months. I am hoping we don't uncover more problems after this. read more

Tech was great. No complaints about the house call. My only complaint is you make it virtually impossible to fine tune the window that the tech is going to arrive. Your website says to get better info do certain things and when you do them...you get no information other than 8-5. Once he was on the way this morning.....I was able to get better info and he called as well so the was good. but my suggestion is that you make it easier for people to try (I know you won't always be able to give a smaller window) to reduce the time they have to stay home waiting, Even a four hour window is better than an 8 hour. and 2 hour is even better read more

We have had such a nightmare experience with them re: our refridgerator (lasting two weeks at this point). They replaced the compressor at a cost of $600 but it didn't fix the problem and they still charged us a $100 fee to come out. They sold us a refrigerator but the installers wouldn't put it in when they came out because they said it was the wrong kind of water line. Now we are lost in their system and they can't put us on priority to just come by and install the fridge, even though it's in our garage and we paid a plumber to fix the line to their specifications. So it's been two weeks without a refrigerator. Long wait times whenever you call and when you reach someone they have no authority to help. read more

Well, we thought the technician fixed the issue. After using it for a week, we noticed the top rack was still not getting cleaned properly. So on August 28th, I contacted Sears to schedule another technician visit. They refused to schedule an appointment saying that replacing the arm assemblies will fix the issue. I had already taken the assemblies off and assessed them prior to contacting Sears and knew that they were working properly and that there was an underlying issue. But I went ahead and let the agent order the parts and waited for them to come in. The next week (I believe it was September 3rd), one of the parts came in. It was the lower arm assembly which won't help with the upper rack at all. So I called Sears to see if I got all of the parts and they confirmed that only one of the two parts arrived and we were waiting for the middle arm assembly which was on back order. At this point, I said I wasn't going to wait for a back-order part to come in to find out that it's not going to fix the issue so I had them schedule and appointment for the technician to look at the dishwasher. The appointment was set for September 9th. On September 9th, the technician arrived right on time and low and behold it wasn't the arm assembly like I had told the phone agents. The technician had difficulties trying to figure out what is the issue. He knows that all parts have been replaced on the dishwasher except for the control panel and the main motherboard. He ended up ordering the control panel because he was able to make the upper arm assembly move with the admin settings on the motherboard. He then set an appointment for the soonest date which is October 1st! Almost a month later! On September 11th, I received a part at my doorstep which on the box and invoice says that it is a GE service machine control so I am thinking this is the part and maybe I can get a technician to come sooner than October 1st. I contact Sears and the part numbers don't match and the agent said that it's way too soon for the control panel to get to the house, so I am confused on how or why I had a control panel arrive at my house after knowing that the technician ordered a control panel to come to my house. I also don't know if the "right" control panel is going to make it to my house or not. The agent also refused to let me try and get a sooner appointment because I didn't have the "right" part. He said to wait 5-7 days for the "right" part to come in and then we can reschedule. This is where we are at right now. Waiting for another control panel (maybe) and waiting for the schedule appointment 3 weeks later. Right now we have had a non-working dishwasher for almost 3 months and looking like it may be another month before it's fixed....if it's even fixed. read more

The service was alright, but I changed my mind about getting the part and the labor which was close to $900.00, I could buy a new range for that price, so I tried calling and was on the phone for about 4 hours because I couldn't find a phone number and when I did I was put on hold, then transferred to someone who then transferred me to another person and then I got disconnected. When I called back I got someone who was hard to understand and that person cancelled my appointment, which I already had, I was trying to cancel the order. When I called again I was told I couldn't cancel the order now but had to wait 24 hours. What a horrible way to do business. I always liked Sears but don't think I will be doing business with them again. Why is it so hard to be able to talk with someone instead of AI and when you are lucky enough to talk with a real person, you can't understand them????? read more

I wish I could give Sears Home warranty a -5 rating, but I can't. Where do I start? The whole team/company is a living monument to incompetence. Kenmore fridge had a damage compressor after 2 yrs ownership. Made a phone call to open a case, then on the day of the first appointment I call because I heard nothing from them. Guess what it was cancelled. Wasted 15 days of my life. Called furious the second time and the earliest appointment available is 15 days later. Ok no problem. The day of the appointment the tech from Pelican Appliance Services, just looks at the fridge and says, it is the compressor. New record, he was in my house for less than 5 minutes. The tech from Plican said that he would come back in 7 days because he installed his last compressor in stock the Friday before. Well, 7 days later the dude was nowhere to be found. I called to his phone, effing voicemail full. Lookup the company in google, appears as permanently closed. What kind of shady company is this? I call Sears again and I explained the situation. They escalated the call and about an hour later I receive a call from Pelican that he would be in my house in 45 min. to install the new compressor. Well, the compressor was installed. He needed to run a firmware update on the computer board, which took a sh1t and bricked. The tech said that he har to order a new computer board. The part will arrive in a week. Well during that weekend I received an automated e-mail from Sears, thanking me for the successful completion of the service request. SERIOUSLY?????? Called Sears and they said yes this was complete. Well, my broken fridge says otherwise. Have been trying to get some one to get their @$$ and fix my fridge. I only hear excuses. Of course, after ending my calls, the reps on the phone had the galls to offer me a home improvement quote! Beyond furious. STAY AWAY from Sears Warranty and from Pelican Appliance Services. I am cancelling as soon as I can. read more
